Started off very slow, and a bit uninteresting, until we get almost half way through, half way! When a girl disappears underneath a tube train as it comes into the station, no more girl, well it turns out that she was pushed and the contents of her bag gave her name as Dr Emily Roberts, an academic at the London School for Global Heath. At last some action! I was about to ditch the book when something happens!

DCI Paul Cullen heads up the British Transport police and they are looking into reports of sexual harrassment of young girls on the tube. He in a spot of bother as he chased a young man out of the tube station and he fell into the path of a lorry or bus, forget which now, it's in his first book Long Gone, and his girlfriend was devastated and at the young man's funeral at the end of this book, her father told her that the police officer who chased him will get his just desserts.

Cullen can be a bit dull really and the books continued in the same slow motion as at the beginning. There were some parts where it did pick up speed, but for most of the rest of the book I began skim reading from about 2/3rds in. I have read his first book Long Gone and gave it 5 stars, but I don't think this measured up to that, just too slow.

Brilliant!

Another winner with this second book, featuring Detective Paul Cullen, investigating serious crime for British Transport Police . Love his character and his dedication to doing everything he can to protect others, whether through his job or his loved ones. Will keep you guessing throughout, with a completely unexpected twist at the end. Couldn’t read this fast enough. Looking forward to the next book!

Fast-Paced Riveting read

I shave followed this author from the beginning...each book is smart, intelligent and relevant. If you are looking for a lot of suspense you won’t find it in the DCI Cullen series but you do get a lot of twists, turns and surprises.
I can’t wait for the next. If you haven’t read the Emma Holden series read it! I’ve read it 3 times now, it never gets old.

A bit of a short read and a slow burner in the middle of the book but things really got better towards the end. Book 3 promises to be as good as the first n second in the series. I can recommend Paul Pilkinton.

Pau always has you anxious to see what I’ll happen next.

Characters you can relate to and urgency to see where the plot will go are what you can always expect from Paul Pilkington. This one doesn’t disappoint.

This book follows immediately on the heels of his first book, but it's still a standalone story. Cullen works with the Underground Police to stop sexual predators on the tube. Lots of twists in the story. On to the third volume in this trilogy.

I always enjoy reading Paul Pilkington's stories. I love the way he plots and twists, different characters and point of views.

Fallen Angel doesn't disappoint. But it was a quick read and I kinda felt the answers to the plot was revealed a bit too quickly
(well - it's a known fact, I love my stories looooong and very twisty)

Anyway, I was hooked, still am and I'm looking forward to reading more Paul Cullen mysteries
