Enigma #9

Thrasher

Rate this book
One of the CIA's toughest agents falls for the forbidden...

CIA agent Melvin Escabar has sworn to live and die by his honor. He spends his time in the underwater fortress of Aukrabah, working to protect the Bracadytes from the land walkers who will stop at nothing to destroy them. Dubbed “Thrasher" by the Bracadytes, Melvin becomes a blood brother to the giant warriors and would gladly die fighting alongside them. He very well may have to before it's over with. And then he meets Kaspyn...

As the daughter of a king, the Arkadian Bracadyte princess Kaspyn must adhere to certain rules laid out by her father: never show weakness, die with dignity, and know your enemies. Though the southern Bracadytes aren’t Kaspyn’s enemies, the humans they consort with are another story altogether. Especially the insufferable Thrasher. His sheer arrogance and dominant ways are enough to set her teeth on edge. Not to mention the human blood that pumps through his veins. No, Kaspyn has no use for the land walker, other than a place to store her blade. But something about him draws her in against her will…until he haunts her dreams and every waking thought. All Kaspyn knows is she has to get Melvin Escabar AKA Thrasher out of her system—or risk losing her heart forever.

Thrasher was another enjoyable read in the Enigma series. I really enjoyed Thrasher and Kaspyn together, their animosity towards each other was very enjoyable. I loved her innocence to our world and her straight forwardness was fun too. As I've said with other books in this series everything happens really quickly but it works for me although I will say this one seemed shorter than the others. I'm really looking forward to the next book in this series.

Another great installment in the Enigma series from Author Ditter Kellen , she weaves her magic within the pages and has us rooting for every new story each and every time she pens one we eagerly await the next book to come.

Thrasher is no different.

We see his struggle with his longing and affection for Kaspian . A slow build romance, and a struggle of will for them both to just find love and be done with it. Her hate for the land walkers and his distaste for the spoilt rich princess is evident but over time they both realize that things change.

After something goes very wrong among a field trip we see that love can only lay dormant for so long.

THE BEACH SCENE - OMG !! It was like I was standing on the beach watching on - as that ENGIMA and the rest walked out of the gulf. It was like the A team were lined up and the power and the wraith - I could feel it down to my toes. It made gave me goosebumps , smile and think wholy moley . No wander I loved Zaureth but this just concreted my thoughts on him. No wander I loved them all. ** grins ** A united front willing to help each other even till death.

Kaspian is a strong character, I love her assertiveness, her take no shxt attitude and her naive nature to the slang. Made me giggle many times. I really enjoyed the slang the author has put forth within the story , it gives it a light feel and a giggle along the way.

Thrasher - well he is the usual alpha male. Strong, loyal and down right kick ass. I have always loved his character and Ditter did a great job of penning him on paper , giving us depth and definition.

The New characters - I can see them forming new stories . I enjoyed the addition and watching them grow from page one.

** One of my favourite quotes *

Love doesn't recognize the differences in social status, or how much money a person has. Love see only the heart.

The author pens this well within every story. The love , affection, loyalty is so very strong among the race of humans and aliens its heart warming. The group grows with every new story and we are given new characters along the way. Other characters from previous books are brought forward in the stories giving us a little back ground as well.

The disease is still viral = slowly it will reach each and every person but so much can only be done with the little they have. The hate still lingers among the opposition it will always be a concern to the underwater aliens.

The story line was action packed, filled with strong characters, love, steamy lovin & romance and rivalry. It certainly kept me on the edge of my seat till the very end. I just wanted more. I'm a tad concerned what the future will bring for Kaspian and Thrasher and the rest of the Bracadites. Due to the circumstances, but I am hoping an alliance will be the only thing on the cards.

Engaging, spine tingling and Gripping.

Melvin Escabar had been given the name of Thrasher by the Bracadytes after he’d fought the Arkadians in the training room. Thrasher now considers himself part of the Bracadytes brother to them he would risk his life and even die for them. Thrasher knows that he has a task to do he must kill Rueben Howell who continually threatens the Bracadytes way of life. In his task Thrasher also can’t help his contempt and strong feelings of dislike towards one of the Arkadians Princess Kaspyn. Kaspyn feels the same about Thrasher especially the prejudice the Arkadians feel towards humans. Is it really disgust that Thrasher feels or is it something more what about Kaspyn’s feelings can she ignore her feelings of attraction even if it goes against everything she has always believed about the humans.
I just love this whole series by Ms. Ditter Kellen and can’t seem to stop reading it. I get caught up in the story hoping against hope that the Incola virus will be cured the bracadytes and the humans will live harmoniously together and that they will find peace together. Every book of the series I just find something to like about the bracadytes their sense of loyalty, family, respect and love for each other even the humans that reside with them. The story is filled with action, adventure, family, prejudice, betrayal, sadness and love leaving me on an emotional roller coaster that I was left gasping for breath one moment but also crying the next. Out of the books in the series I think this is one of my favorites. Can it be read alone well it can somewhat but you might want to read them all in order just to understand the relationships between the Bracadytes, humans and Arkadians. In fact the enemies to lovers is one of my favorite tropes and Ms. Kellen seems to have a wonderful knack for writing this effortlessly that you can instantly feel the hatred between the protagonists but you can also feel the deep love they have for each other as well.
What can I say about the headstrong, brutish, stoic Thrasher? Sure he’s hot and oozes sex besides the fact that I was drooling a lot of the time well okay all of the time when he was in the book. Of course the book cover makes that pretty easy too what a wonderful model to use on the cover. I seriously wanted to jump him and if he actually existed I think I would have a hard time refraining from doing that even though he would probably hate it. To me Thrasher is the perfect material for a hero and yes he is on my coveted list of book boyfriends. It was pretty easy to fall for him hook line and sinker despite his brash mean ways he also has a heart too. Kaspyn is a pretty great heroine too beautiful, physically strong, a warrior, caring and just a great girl to admire. She can physically fight anyone and also has the mental wherewithal to take them down too. I didn’t care for her prejudice about humans but even with that her love for Thrasher made her likable tolerable and someone that despite her dislike of humans we could still get together anyway. In fact I still have a bit of a book hangover from reading this book and have read it a few times too not wanting to leave this world either. I eagerly await Zyen’s story and the rest of the bracadytes. Ms. Kellen can keep writing these stories and I will keep reading them.

Well........................ I'm speechless! Ok, no I'm not. Ditter Kellen did it again. The books in the Enigma series just get better and better.

Thrasher (formerly Melvin) has been welcomed into the fold of the Bracadytes and the mighty warriors of Aukrabah. But new faces are visiting Aukrabah too; Princess Kaspyn and her Bracadyte guards/warriors from Arkadia.

Thrasher and Kaspyn are like a wick to a flame and their attraction burns throughout the story. But Thrasher is Human and the Bracadytes of Arkadia are steeped in centuries of hatred toward them.

I have to say that Thrasher gave me some LOL moments. I mean literally, I laughed out loud. Not only did Thrasher and Kaspyn have attraction, they had snark and witty banter.

As the epidemic continues to spread fear and chaos in the areas of the world not yet vaccinated and Howell continues his search for the Bracadytes, Thrasher and Kaspyn try to hold onto their guise of indifference toward each other.

Thrasher and Kaspyn's chemistry is off the charts. It's melt your laptop/kindle hot. But the "L" word can never be. Kaspyn knows her parents will never allow her to love a mere Human.

Follow the action, humor, passion and intrigue in the 9th installment of the Enigma Series. The series is best read in order and you won't regret getting it. Grab your Kindle and your E-reader and "Dive" in.

Five Stars, another wonderful book in the Series.

Ditter Kellen hits another one out of the ballpark with the ninth book in the Enigma series. I love this series about Bracadyte's and their love-hate relationship with humans.

This story deals with the human Melvin Escobar, now known as Thrasher a former military man and his friendship with the of Bracadytes who live off the Florida coast. When a group of warriors from Arkadia that live off the coast of Maine arrives to meet with their Southern brethren. The Northern visitor's deep-seated hatred of all landwalkers adds to the tension of dealing with the ongoing epidemic and humans who want all Bracadytes dead.

One of the visitors is princess Kaspyn. She and Thrasher fight their feeling for each other to no avail. This is a story of love and overcoming prejudice on both sides of the races, not to mention the action-packed conflicts.

Thrasher aka Melvin the ex-cia agent…yeah he is kind of a badass…no he totally is. He is now blood bonded to the Bracadytes and is training them to fight. As you remember there is a little “tension” between him and the Princess of the visiting Bracadytes. He is so funny about his ott behavior it had me laughing out loud. Caveman sums it up. They run into more trouble, but thankfully Thrasher’s woman is a bit of a badass herself and you definetly do not want to mess with her man. Between her and Zaureth, none of the bad guys are safe. And two of our America’s Most Wanted bad guys make an appearance in this book. Some things happen and she ends up leaving, but Thrasher goes to get his girl.

This was such a great book, probably one of my favorites in the series. And of course my man Zareuth shows that he is the badass of all the badasses, maybe the alpha badass, yeah that works for me. This was a safe read, she was a virgin, no om or ow drama. Baby batter, an epilogue and hea.

Totally enjoyed the book. I could not put the series down once I started reading the books. Each new character had his own special story, which is as it should be.

Ex-CIA agent Melvin Escabar is now a blood brother and is now know as Thrasher. Maybe it has something to do with his fighting style. He has been the street-smart human helping the Bracadytes in previous books, but he has no time for love.... Until he meets the princess, Kaspyn. Of course initially, they rub each other the wrong way, but eventually, sparks fly.

I love the way Ditter Kellen brings out the traits of each character and how she weaves their story. The overall theme of the series seems to be no matter how different we may think we are, we are really pretty much the same. And, we need each other to survive.

Looking forward to the next book and I highly recommend the series.

I love this series

Dieter Ellen has written another excellent book in the Enigma series. This book finds ex-CIA operative Melvin Escobar (Thrasher) adopted by his new Bracadyte brothers and living under the ocean in Aukrabah. The hunt continues to find ex-president Howell and his lackey Kerik before they gain Cuba's support to attack the Bracadytes again while King Klaus tries to keep the peace with their Bracadyte neighbors, the Arkadians, whom still distrust all humans and threaten war.

The Arkadians have sent a diplomatic contingent to King Klaus led by Princess Kastyn to discuss peace but the tension between Thrasher and Kastyn escalates at every meeting.

Each book in the series has its own story HEA and the next book takes over where this book left off. The story continues to unfold and I can't wait to read the next book.

Thrasher and Kaspyn

No body does it better than Ditter Kellen with her "Enigma Series." You just cannot put these books down once you start reading. The author ensures that the reader will engage with the characters to the best of her ability and will keep the story line fresh.

If you have not read the previous books in the series it is strongly suggested that you do so that you will have a sense of all the characters as the story evolves. Each book is a standalone but as the guys appear in almost every book you get to know them just a bit better until it is time for their story.

Thrasher is a human that has been embraced by the Bracadytes as a brother and he would lay down his life to protect them in return.

Kaspyn is a royal princess from a different line than the Aukrabah Bracadytes. Her branch loathes humans and prefers not to interact with them.

🔱🔱🔱 5 STAR REVIEW 🔱🔱🔱

Melvin Escabar or Thrasher and Princess Kaspyn of Arkadia have a way of making your heart skip a beat, your palms sweaty and a whole lot of respect for this fictional characters as well as the author.

Each and every page you read from this book will have you engulf in the story. There are nine books in this series and every single one is different in its own way and has made me love them more than the previous but in my humble opinion this book is the best of this series. Thrasher has no comparison to any book from its genre.

Ditter Kellen not only has delivered her best book ever, this series has become a must read for years to come.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Melvin and Kaspyn sitting in a tree

Way to go Ditter Kellen another awesome read. I was for sure that Melvin and Kaspyn were going to come to blows at the beginning. With that being said for people that are just picking up this story. This is the latest book in the on going struggles of finding a cure of the Incola virus and two of the evil rat bastards. Melvin is a associate and friend to Tony Vaughn and the Bracadytes. Kaspyn is from another trip\group of Bracadytes. These two people are very strong willed and at many times the are passionate in their dislike of each other but then it just happened. I really recommend reading this in order. I don't recommend this book for the under 18 crowd.

The ninth instalment of the Enigma series from Ditter Kellen is Thrasher. Melvin Escabar took on the name Thrasher after showing his dominance for fighting and left his fellow Bracadytes in awe of his skill. After participating in the blood oath with the Bracadytes of Akurabah he knows he would do anything for his fellow brothers. What he didn't plan on was meeting his mate. A mate that seems to despise his very breathe. Kaspyn is the princess of Arkadia who has grown up all her life believing land dwellers are nothing but liars and the filth of the world. What she cant understand is how this one human has crept into her very soul. I loved this story, nothing else to say. LOVED it.

This book was absolutely amazing.

Thrasher and Kaspyn's story was more then I could have ever expected. The Arkadians have been brought up to hate all land walkers. With that hate and that feeling of being better than them, Kaspyn's fights her attraction to Thrasher all the way. The dangerand suspense will have your heart pounding out of your chest, but the love story will just melt you! I can't wait to get the next book!!!!!

You don't just enter Ditter Kellens world. You get sucked in. I Dell in love with Melvin aka Thrasher way back in the beginning of this series. And waited(un)patiently for his story. I was not disappointed. All the previous characters paid a visit and whooped butt. Kaspyne was by far my favorite heroin. The bar has been set high but if anyone can do it Ditter can.

Thrasher/ Melvin has been a constant throughout the series and the mystery behind him built into an amazing story! I absolutely loved this book for the action, dialogue and heated attraction that led to a love between two very dynamic characters. This series gets better with each book and I recommend you delve into the intrigue and action of the Bracadyte's.

This book was just awesome. I love the banter between Kaspyn and Thrasher. They crack me up. But they are an amazing team one to be reckoned with. I love how they work together to conquer whatever is thrown there way. The end how they all worked together was pure magic. This is an out of this world book. A total must read.
