A wonderful, at times mind-blowing book, that every human with a cervix should read. There's so much we don't know and are not taught. I'm sure it's helped many women already - not only to cure but also prevent gyno-related issues.

For anyone who hasn't done any research into this topic yet, I'm sure it's very helpful. But if you expect some deeper knowledge I don't recommend this book.

A lot of excellent information. If you have cervical dysplasia, definitely read this before getting a leep. I took supplements, went off hormonal birth control (which increases your risk of cervical cancer), and led a healthier lifestyle and reserved CIN2 in only 5 months. Many times this book made me cry because it’s a sorry state our current society is in and the way physicians are trained to treat symptoms rather than promote healing is so sad.

I don’t believe in coincidences. I heard Denell tell her story on a podcast exactly one month before I got my first abnormal Pap smear in January of 2022. After my labs came back I ordered her book, and let it sit on the shelf for over a year… along with my cervix health. I was working so hard at healing my trauma at this time, and couldn’t imagine focusing my energy on my cervix yet. Fast forward to August 2023, I get a colpo and am CIN 2 squamous with high grade glandular abnormal cells as well. The doctor told me that I needed a LEEP. I came home and read women’s stories on the procedure through Reddit and took a few days to decide. My whole body was saying “no” to this procedure. I read this book in a few hours and listened to a few of her podcasts episodes, hearing other women’s healing stories. I reached out to my doctor and asked if she would monitor my cervix again in 6 months, as I was going to work toward helping it heal. She said no, and that she would not see me anymore if I didn’t get a LEEP, due to liability. So, I did my work. 6 months later, I got another colpo at Planned Parenthood, and I no longer had abnormal glandular cells! Still CIN 2 squamous, but my cervix was healing, and it big ways. I could feel it. The practitioner at PP agreed to allowing me agency over my own body and monitoring it every 6 months. I just had another 6 month pap, and I’m still CIN 2 squamous but I haven’t been on my healing game these past 6 months either, so I wasn’t surprised. I now know what to do and what my body is capable of, and I am beyond grateful to Denell for all the work she has done for women. Without her, I wouldn’t have even know that I had another option. Will update when I have a clear pap- and I will! 🩷

I was looking forward to this book. But I can’t get past the spelling mistakes and the poor tone. There’s also a lot of unnecessary repetition and paraphrasing in the same paragraph. So annoyed, that I had to put it down at ch. 1.
