I think this book could be helpful for newly dating couples who read it together to get ideas on things they need to discuss. But it’s not one I’d really recommend, mostly because I think there are other books out there that are better and more helpful. The writing was very simple, too simple for my tastes. Everything was discussed on a very basic level; there wasn’t much depth to this book. That said, I did come away with two or three specific conversation topics that I’d like to have with my boyfriend, so I did gain something from reading it.

Has good insight inside but delivered in a cringe-worthy way at times with strange comics embedded. Maybe it is just outdated or not my personal style, but points were easily understood overall.

Excellent and biblical approach regarding relationship and questions to ask before marriage.

My mother-in-law gave this book to my husband and I before we got married. We didn't read it all the way through but it did bring up some great questions and discussions that are important to have BEFORE getting married.

Good book that helped me generate some general, high-level questions for myself and my significant other. I appreciated that it didn't get into too much detail and was a quick read. I didn't like that seemingly every example given in the book painted the male partner in a negative light.

This is a good book to read BEFORE you get married if you a seriously spending your life with someone. It makes you think about what you WILL face in your new marriage.

OK, I can't claim to have "read" the entire thing. But we did read parts of it, and it's less not good than others of its genre.

This book is interesting and that's just not all it is, it's written using simple language, and the tone invites a conversation between couples. It's like the pre-marital counseling served over time without a rush but with a call for patience and openness.
I loved the questions on ambitions and dreams and interests because I struggle with those. Thanks Netgalley for the eARC, I am certain that anyone who is looking to establish a relationship that yields to marriage would really enjoy reading this book.
