I'm a writer, a pagan, and a witch, and consequently love all things magical. I write fictional books about witchcraft and the paranormal, and they are jam-packed with fabulous characters, colourful settings, plenty of action, and lots of humour.
I was born in England, in the Black Country, but moved to New Zealand in 2006. I lived near Wellington with my partner Jase, and my cats Sacha and Leia. However, in April 2022 we moved again! Yes, I like making my life complicated… I’m now living in the Algarve in Portugal, and loving the fabulous weather and people. When I’m not busy writing I read lots, indulge in gardening and shopping, and I love yoga.
Confession time! I’m a Star Trek geek – old and new – and love urban fantasy and detective shows. Secret passion – Columbo! Favourite Star Trek film is the Wrath of Khan, the original! Other top films – Predator, the original, and Aliens.
In a previous life I was a singer in a band, and used to do some acting with a theatre company. For more on me, check out a couple of my blog posts. I have also written a blog about how I finally became comfortable about calling myself a witch. It's called Leaning into my Witch.
I have read all the books in the White Haven Witches series so far and have reviewed these independently however now that the first three books are all in one box-set I cannot emphasise enough what a great read these books are especially for people who like me love witches, magic and all kind of witchcraft. The village of White Haven has a history of witches but little do the people living there presently realise that they still have five witches residing close to them. Our group of five witches have found out that they all should have inherited grimoires from their ancient magical families and they set out to find these. Their lives become fraught with danger as others are set to keep them from doing so. The characters are lovable and very charismatic, the romance blooming between some of them and their great friendship warm the heart especially when these have to look out for one another when their lives are threatened!! Very exciting reading, enjoy.
These are seriously amazing books. It’s easy to get immersed in the lives of the Whitehaven witches and follow them through their journey to discover how powerful their magic is . From the first book I was absolutely spellbound and couldn’t put the book down as I was so eager to see what happened next .
I would definitely recommend these books to anyone who loves tales of witches and other mythical creatures as you will definitely not be disappointed! T.J Green has made it to my top 10 list of favourite authors and cannot wait to start reading more of her books .
5 witches reclaim the magic they didn't know was theirs
Avery, Alex, Elspeth, Gideon and Reuben, and Briar are all young adults whose families at one point lived in White Haven and now theyre back, drawn by the magic of the area, literally. Mathias' family has been here all along as has Avery's. There's history here, old history, and they are all a part of it and a part of the future. The area has magic and is a place thought to have witches, real witches. Each of these young people are part of one of the old magical families. These families go back to before the witch trials, when one particular witch was burned at the stake. But not before the five families banded together to protect the town and their magic. In this first three book set, Ms. Green takes us along on the search for family trees and grimoires, establishment of bonds, uncovering of long-hidden secrets. She reveals a long term protector from the past. So much that seems so just isn't. Death visits 5 times before the group has all its answers to the riddle and can find its way forward. Then dealing with the consequences proves to be another almost insurmountable task. The 5 witches and their protector have made enemies, friends, and allies along the way which they will need to save everyone in the end. Recommended
Wonderful new series to explore. 1 - The White Haven Witches are good witches, that now have to fight demons. Hopefully by digging into their heritage they will find the power they need to defeat the demons. Looking forward to the rest of the series. 2 - Exciting story of 5 witches, trying to gain back their families powers, while learning to control their own. A cop trying to protect his town. Friendship and love blossoming. Looking forward to the next book. 3 - Life has become very complicated for the White Haven Witches. A very complex book. The witches find out there is a Witches Council with witches all over Cornwell. The witches also start to see what was released when they broke their binding spell. They have to up their powers to protect White Haven and Cornwell, while trying to live their lives. Very interesting fast paced story. Looking forward to the next book.
Written by numbers modern fantasy with rather stereotypical romance based on a rather confused mish-mash of folklore from different backgrounds/cultures.
Trite phrasing at times which threw me out of the story, irrelevant descriptions such as "abs to die for" describing someone who is knocking at a door fully dressed, and the annoyingly repeated mention by its long name (which meant nothing to me) of a paricular classic sports car, meant that I found these three books hard to finish.
I've read several different series dealing with witches and small English villages, and I have to say, this is definitely one of the better ones. I really like the way she presents the craft with just enough detail that you know she knows of what she writes. But not so much that we need to worry that someone is going to try to use it to bind a demon. I'm off to go get book four, and anxiously await any new books in the series. Thank you!
I love witch based stories. I love that they are implausible, unrealistic and, when well done, the best escapist therapy around!
What fun I had reading this series of three books about the wonderful, wacky ,ominous world of 5 most excellent witches. If you enjoy books that allow you to escape to world filled with witchy possibilities these books might delight you as much as they did me!
I was hooked straight away and only stopped reading when life got in the way. I also enjoyed it as l know Cornwall really well. It gave me further insight as l could visually see places in my head. The stories 1-3 are great with depth to the characters and how they get to where they go. They are filled with intrigue and magic both good and bad. Spellbinding for start to finish.
this book is full of magic and will appeal to harry potter fans. the group of people who have magic abilities look for lost magic books belonging to their families long ago. the books were hidden out of the way of the witch finder. the story follows their adventures finding the books and events that were released on white haven and their inhabitants.
I enjoyed following the five witches as they grew into their powers. I loved the way that the stories conjured up problems and enemies, and the creative ways that they were able to fight them. The characters felt fleshed out and full of life. My next action will be to buy book 4 so that I can follow these exciting, riveting characters.
Great series with well developed characters. The 5 witches, with their individual skills and quirks become your friends as the books progress. I love their unusual approaches to dealing with a magical invasion while attempting to maintain an aura of normalcy Definitely recommend series and am looking forward to book 4.
Book 2 is the conclusion of book one. Just be aware of that if you buy book one alone. Book 3 is a really interesting story with some interesting moral dilemmas. 🤔 a whole new cast of paranormal beings enter the scene to create a very different threat to White Haven.
This is a great bit of escapism and certainly not your normal witch novel. The characters are well thought out and different enough to be interesting. The storyline progresses well and with no really quiet pages that can make you lose interest. Overall a very good novel
I wound up listening to all three books consecutively without taking a dayt or so between books or reading/listening to a different genre book as I usually do.
Each book kept me engaged and curious to see what would happen next.
Definitely enjoyed them and look forward to reading/listening to more.
This kept being advertised on social media and looked like something I'd enjoy. Very glad I got them. Loved these books. Easy read and great characters. I was so pleased to have the first three books in one as they each finished with a cliff hanger and I would have been frustrated to have to wait for the next one. I like the direction the third book has taken although enjoyed the hunt for the grimoires. Lots of options for further books and even spin offs.
I loved these three books. I found all the characters too be individuals and rooted for them . I have download the rest of the trilogy. I look forward too reading 📚 them. Thank you 🎉
I have read other modern witch books and at first didn’t think I would like these. The author is not terribly descriptive like other authors. Happily, by the third book in the series, I began to find the characters endearing as they were developed.
This is a very well written story of modern day witchcraft and other paranormal a activity. T.J. Green does an excellent job of creating vivid characters and building story. I thoroughly enjoyed all three books and am looking forward to more.
What a great read, books 1, 2 and 3. Not going to give any spoilers, but if you enjoy a bit of witchy magic, elementals and half angels you will be happy with this series, just want to say I thoroughly enjoyed the books and I am going now to purchase number 4
If you like all things witchy and related (including mermaids and otherworldly things), an enjoyable read. Sleepy seaside town descriptions are lovely, story rambles on at times but overall, a good series to get into (this review is for books 1-3).

Saw this whilst searching for witchy books to read and seeing as I’m from a real town called Whitehaven, I couldn’t pass it by! Absolutely loved this bind up of the first three books in the series. Super easy reads that I couldn’t put down!
Fun read. A little different then the regular paranormal stuff I have read. I bought a three in one series, so that was a bonus. I recommend it if you are into witches, nasty mermaids, and other interesting creatures.
I liked the first book more than the other 2. Probably won't read any more though. It could get a little boring at times. Love that they incorporated other types of paranormal rather than the typical shifters, witches, vampires, and ghosts.
Wonderful witchy book series full of magic and fantasy. Loved the characters and their relationships and without giving too much away the fantasy creatures in book 3. Enjoyed the place setting. Recommend!
I loved the the charters and the storyline. Going from the first book to the third was a smooth transition. I’m really looking forward to the forth book.
