Trying to evade Orcus (now the headmaster at Terras Academy) Medusa (FMC) has been laying low with - Griffin, Callan & Liam helping her. Three guys who were her bullies and now seem to be trying their hardest to make amends to her. As well as other things. Add to that a new hot professor - Thanos who also seems to have an interest in her, a helmet to help her change her appearance & trying to stop the Minotaur (living under the school) from taking any more students for Orcus. Medusa has her work cut out for her in this book. Its flaming great to read. Action, Sly-underhand people and plenty of steamy moments this series is jam-packed full of it all. I just loved it

Burning it down! Kate takes the high road, blazing the path and leveling the field rocking this baby to it's core. Anarchy, escapades and havoc run amuck riding the rail, fusing this baby together smoothly. Kate reigns supreme with incredible, well rounded scenario's, ramping up the excitement and adrenaline with such intensity and skill, thrusting this gem to life spectacularly. Seizing the moment, traversing the trials and tribulations, along with startling twists, deft corners and tricky lines, testing our characters in ways they could have never anticipated. The drama, misgivings, intrigue, danger and suspense builds, blasting this baby into the eye of the storm, breaking it down, throwing it into a tailspin with staggering impacts. Mythological beings and Gods and Goddesses in modern times. Loved this book. Cursed beings from mythology being used once again by the Gods and Goddesses who cursed them or are controlling them. But eventually the enslaved will rise up. Medusa, Callum, Liam, and Griffin (all supernatural beings hurt by the Gods and Goddesses) have been sent to an academy to stop Orcus from trying to take over Mount Olympus. But each has their own hidden agenda, to get revenge on the God or Goddess who hurt them. But they form a foursome and work together, and all of the men have fallen for Medusa and she cares for all of them. And a secret was about to be revealed about Medusa’s father. This was definitely a interesting and entertaining read so much was going on and like a whole idiot I didn't realize that this was book 2 in the series. However I wasn't lost or anything but I don't like to jump into a series with out reading book one first. So I'll be definitely one clicking on that book. Overall a great read looking forward to seeing what else is in store for this series. The ancient Gods have been playing tricks on Medusa for too lond and she still doesn't know everything the only thing she is sure of stop the Keeper Orcus and whatever awful thing he has planed. Her only other constant Liam, Griffen and Callan there monsters too she wants to love them but can she trust them and now there is a new player is he on the side of Orcus or is he there to help hes not all he appears to be. A battle is coming and it is tied to angry petulant Gods and somehow Medusa.

Monstrous Things is book two in the Gods & Monsters modern mythology series. This book doesn’t disappoint. Medusa and her guys are on a mission to stop the beast keeper and Minotaur, but with betrayals at every turn and manipulative gods pulling strings...who knows who they can trust. A beautifully written storyline with a fun take on mythology set in a modern day academy. It’s full of action, mystery, and romance. Can’t wait for more!

Book two in the Gods & Monsters series continues the story of Medusa and her struggle to remain free, and eliminate the threat who wants her dead. The beast-keeper and the minotaur are still on the loose, and everyone is in extreme danger – especially the humans. Liam, Callan, and Griffin seem to be on her side, but can she really rely on them after everything they did to her last semester? Can she trust her heart to them?
The gods are up to something, and there’s no way to tell who to trust. Even Athena may have a hidden agenda, and events from Medusa’s past are adding up. Now she just needs to survive so she can figure everything out.
I really am enjoying this series and can’t wait for book 3 to come out! Kate Nova has a wonderful way of spinning a story to keep you riveted.

Not Just Another Academy Story!!
Seems like they are popping up everywhere – but this academy story really captured my attention!! I have purchased, but not read #1 in this series. I’m reading that next. I was never lost though look forward to getting a bit more of the “back story”. I’m also really looking forward to the next in this series.
Competing and untrustworthy “gods”, creatures who appear human, and friends you can count on all culminate into an entertaining journey!

I thought that Medusa was crazy fierce in Stone Cold, but here she steps it up and rules over the insane, the monstrous, and the deviousness that is the other students, the teachers, and the gods. Book 2 in the series and the passion, the energy and the twists just don't stop.

Monstruous Things picks up right where Stone Cold ends and what a fantastic read this one was too. A well written sequel where the story flow flawlessly from book one to this one. Still many unanswered questions and new mysteries to be unravel. I won't spoil your read so you need to read this series. Let me just say that Medusa has a lot on her plate and not much time to thwart Orcus's plans. Can't wait for the final book Shattered Curse.

Good read
I enjoyed this book. It has a good plot and I love the fantastic characters. I can't wait to see what happens next. I have to be honest though, I did skip several pages. Some because they repeated what I already knew and some because they slowed the story down a bit.

They need to stop the monster from getting anymore female students but how can Medusa help when she can't show get face? And can she really trust the guys plus there's a new professor at the school. So much going on that you can't it it down until the end. Can't wait to find out what happens next!

Medusa, and her men, all of them shifters, are determined to thwart the beast masters plans and save innocents from the monster living beneath the academy. Of course, they will all quickly realize that the gods who set them on their paths, are not to be trusted, but will battle the monsters even if it means their own demise.
Unique, fascinating and intriguing characters, in an exciting, action packed read with many twists in the plot, I couldn't put it down. Mythical goods are brought into todays world. Fantastic book, I loved it!

Another Magnificent story! Medusa and her men are a mission to stop the beast keeper, but it won't be as easy with betrayal around every corner.
Beautifully written storyline with world building that keeps you completely compelled from start to finish and the characters are anything but glorious! An outstanding Greek type story that has wanting more!

Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start.
Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believeable.
Great suspense and action with wonderful world building that adds so much to the story.

I like how the character develops over the time of both of these books.
I mean we all know these books were the tough heroine is very sceptic and distanced in the beginning and then suddenly falls in love with this guy and happy end....
And this is NOT the case here. It is the first book *i think i EVER* read, where the girl doesn’t suddenly loose all her values and forgives the guy every mistake because ‘people can change’..
Medusa is a very round character in my opinion and there are no such ‘hard breaks’ in her actions.
But i do think that the first half of the book stretches a bit long and there doesn’t really happen thaaaat much.
I still really like this book though ;)

One step closer to the Gods!
Medusa and her guys, Griffin, Liam and Callan, have kept Medusa hidden from Orcus but are no closer to stopping his murder spree. She is still having trust issues with her guys but they understand. She has to stay in hiding from the Beast master but a new semester has started. As this is a work of fiction, not everything is as the myths dictate. There also may be a new player in Medusa's team. This was exciting, hair raising and thrilling. Constant anxiety over being discovered while coming to terms with her emotions towards her men. I love the rapport they are developing. Now what happens? I'm sure gonna find out.

Another amazing read in this series. I was so pleased that I was able to read the second book so close to the first one. The book kept me as hooked as the first one in the series. Lots of action in the book, which helped with the build up of excitment and making it harder to stop reading. There was ao much suspense during the whole book, as each page turned, the storyline and characters developed so clearly. The descriptions of what was happening helped visualise the story so well. Kate Nova is a fantastic author ahd her writing is absolutely amazing.

This is a great read! Medusa must team up with Liam, Callan, and Griffin to save the students at the academy from the Minotaur and Orcus. She has to decide if she can trust them after how they treated her last semester. This story is full of action, drama, and twists and turns! I really enjoy this series’ take on mythological beings and gods and goddesses. The characters are well developed and their relationships are complex. This is definitely a series worth reading!

Medusa a wrongfully cursed woman sent to do a job that her survival is slim and betrayal is all around her. Wow! Amazing storyline. Awesome characters, drama, mystery, suspense, mystery, twists and turns. Then there is Liam , Callan, and Griffen. They are a mystery to, can she trust them? Then there is someone else that doesn't want her to win her freedom.

Medusa has alot on her plate. She must stop the beast master from setting his creations free and must kill the monster living under the academy before more people die. This book was even better than the first. The characters are amazing. The story is compelling with non stop action

This is book 2 of the series and getting better. Very nicely written with a great storyline and characters. A story of Mythological beings, Gods and Goddesses. Medusa and her men are still trying to defeat the beast keeper and the minotaur. An adventure full of action and suspense that will keep you turning pages. Can not wait for the next book.

Monster vs Gods.... who will prevail?
The second book in this series is just as good as the first book. The reader is pulled into the book and can see the growth of Medusa from shy, insecure monster to a strong and confident half woman and half monster who now embraces her monster half. Absolutely loving the plot to this series and can’t wait to read more.
