كيف لشخص يكتب عن فلسفة مذهلة لهذه الدرجة
فيكون مضجرا إلى هذا الحد..؟

ومكتوب بطريقة شديدة الجفاف
ويسبب النعاس من الصفحات الأولى
أعتبره من أسوأ ما قرأت في الفلسفة

It was a great reading of Vattimo. The text is so clear and thought-provoking. His interpretation of humanism over Nietzsche and Heidegger is the most original idea in the book. Vattimo is a kind of hidden hermeneut. You must discover him.

حرفيا لم أفهم شيء، قرأت كتب فلسفية صعبة لكن على الأقل كنت اخرج بفكرتها العامة، لكن هنا دخولي للكتاب يشبه خروجي منه. كتاب مليء بالمصطلحات الفلسفية كالاسطيطيقا والفينومينولوجيا، ويدور حول نقاط لا تعرف كيف وصل اليها، من اين انطلق وما هو الطريق الذي سلكه، لا اعرف لما اضعت يومين من حياتي عليه. لمن يريد قراءته اذا نجحت في المرور على كتاب الوجود والزمان لهايدجر فقد تفهم هذا الكتاب.

realment les idees que transmet són molt bones però acaba perdent la potència perquè es fa nàuseabundament repetitiu i s’enfila per explicacions rebuscades que no van enlloc i només et fan perdre la noció de cap on vol anar a parar (també que si no posa 4 paraules en alemany a cada frase no és feliç). de vegades es fa desesperant seguir-lo però suposo que amb explicacions complementàries millora.

نهاية الحداثة تعني، بصورة عامة، بداية حقبة جديدة، اصطلح على تسميتها ما بعد الحداثة. غير أنّ الانتقال من حقبة «فكرية» إلى حقبة أخرى يتطلب تحديد أسس الحقبة التي انتهت لتبيان ما هو الذي انتهى، وتحديد أركان الحقبة التي نشأت لكشف الآتي وإدراكه. وبهذا المعنى، قد يكون هذا التحوّل تقدّماً أو تطوّراً أو تحسيناً أو تجديداً أو تجاوزاً أو حتى إلغاء... وفي هذا السياق يندرج كتاب جاني فاتيمو Gianni) Vattimo نهاية الحداثة الذي نحن بصدد ترجمته، ليصف النوع الذي يحكم هذا التحوّل، ويرسم معالم العصر «الجديد».
وإذا كانت «الحداثة» قد اتصفت بأنها مسار تاريخي تحكمه فكرة التنوير التقدّمي أو التصاعدي، الذي يسير على قاعدة العودة إلى الأسس، أي إلى الأصول للاستحواذ عليها مجدداً، فإنّ التحوّل إلى ما بعد الحداثة لا يندرج في التقدّم أو التطوّر من شيء إلى شيء أجد، كي لا نبقى على الخط عينه. كما أن الحقبة الجديدة لا تستطيع أن تنبني على «أسس» جديدة لأنها لا تستطيع نقد «فكر الأساس»، أي الفكر الذي يبحث باستمرار عن أساس ينبني عليه، باسم فكر تأسيسي آخر، وإلا غدت نسخة مجدّدة عن الحداثة. ولذلك، بحث فاتيمو عن نموذج مختلف من التحوّل، فوجده متمثلاً بالعدمية المتممة التي بشر بها نيتشه، وبنهاية الميتافيزيقا التي أعلنها مارتن هايدغر (Martin Heidegger).
لقد شكل مفهوم العدمية عند فريدريك نيتشه -Friedrich Ni) (etzsche، وفق الدراسة التي يقدّمها فاتيمو في هذا الكتاب، نهاية لحقبة ساد فيها الله - القيمة - الأساس... إلخ، مع أن الحقبة الجديدة لم تنضج كفاية لتمحو الإرث القديم. فالفيلسوف الألماني يعترف في المقطع 125 من «العلم الفرح»، وهو بعنوان: «الإنسان المجنون»، أن التبشير الجديد يأتي باكراً، فوقته لم يحن بعد. وهذا الحدث العظيم، ويقصد هنا موت الله، سائر على الدرب ويشقّ طريقه، ولم يبلغ بعد آذان البشر... وأكد ذلك في كتابه هكذا تكلم زرادشت حينما قال: «يضحكون، هم لا يفهمونني؛ صوتي ليس مصنوعا لآذانهم (1). ويتابع تالياً: «لكني ما زلت بعيداً جداً عنهم، وحاستي لا تحاكي حواسهم. فأنا بالنسبة إلى البشر بين جثة ومجنون»(2).
ويدخل هايدغر، كما يبين هذا المبحث في تاريخ إتمام العدمية. فقد خصص هايدغر دراسة كاملة عن جوهر العدمية، تحت عنوان: «مقولة موت الله عند نيتشه، نُشرت في الدروب المتقطعة -Holz) (wege عام 1968، يميّز فيها بين العدمية غير المتممة التي تستبدل القيم القديمة بقيم جديدة، والعدمية المتمَّمة التي تلغي المكان حيث تستوطن القيم لتقدّم طرحًا جديدًا لمفهوم القيمة (3) . ولذلك تركز كتاب فاتيمو على هذا الخط الجامع بين نيتشه وهايدغر ليظهر معالم نهاية الحداثة.
ونهاية الحداثة تشمل نهاية الفن أو موته وأفوله» كما يعنون الفصل الثالث وتطال انكسار الكلمة الشعرية كما ورد في الفصل الرابع. وكلّها نهايات تعكس جانباً من نهاية الميتافيزيقا. وهي بالتالي دعوات لتعاف (Verwindung)، وهو مصطلح يحكم مسار هذا الكتاب، بحيث إنّ العبور من الحداثة إلى ما بعد الحداثة لا يكون بالتجاوز (Ueberwindung)، وإنما بالتعافي.
وإذا كانت نهاية الحداثة تحوّلاً نحو ما بعد الحداثة، أو تعافياً من الميتافيزيقا، أو تحرّراً من الأسس التي أرساها الفكر الميتافيزيقي، فإنّ العبور إلى الحقبة الجديدة لا بد من أن يمرّ في الأونطولوجيا التأويلية التي تكشف البنى الجديدة المكوّنة للوجود . هذا الوجود المتعافي من الثنائيات التي فرضتها الميتافيزيقا ، يسير في ركاب ما بعد الحداثة.

أصول نظرية أخرى تحدث والتر بنيامين Walter Benjamin)، في أطروحات في فلسفة التاريخ (9)، عن تاريخ المنتصرين»؛ فالمسار التاريخي لا يظهر على أنه مسار موحد، مزوّد باستتباعية ومنطقية، إلا من وجهة نظرهم، أما المنهزمون فلا يستطيعون رؤيته على هذا النحو، وخاصةً أن أحداثهم ونضالاتهم مسحتها بعنف الذاكرة الجماعية؛ من يدير التاريخ هم المنتصرون، الذين لا يحافظون إلا على ما يدخل في الصورة التي يكونونها عنه ليشرعوا سلطتهم. وفي تجذر هذه الإدراكات انتهت أيضاً الفكرة التي أعلنها إرنست بلوخ(10) Ernst) (Bloch، والقائلة بأن هناك تحت صور التاريخ المختلفة والإيقاعات الزمنية المختلفة التي تميزها، «زمناً» موحداً، قوياً (إنما هو زمن طبقة اللاطبقة، البروليتاريا حاملة الجوهر الإنساني الحقيقي)، هذه الفكرةُ أيضاً انتهت بأن بانت وهماً ميتافيزيقياً أخيراً. ولكن، ما لم يكن هناك تاريخ موحد، حامل، واقتصر الأمر على التواريخ المختلفة، أي المستويات والأساليب المختلفة لإعادة بناء الماضي في الوعي وفي المخيال الجماعي، فإنّه من الصعب رؤية الحدّ حين لا يكون انحلال التاريخ من حيث هو نثر لـ «التواريخ»، نهاية حقيقية للتاريخ كما هو، للتأريخ من حيث هو صورة عن مسار موحد للأحداث، وإن متعددة الألوان، فإذا ما أزيلت وحدة الخطاب المتكلم عنه، فقد هو أيضاً كل قوام قابل للمعرفة.

وتتوافق أطروحة نيتشه مع أطروحة هايدغر في ما خص مضامين العدمية أيضاً وطرق ظهورها، بقطع النظر عن الفوارق ذات الطرح النظري بالنسبة إلى نيتشه، يتلخص مسار العدمية كله بموت الله، أو أيضاً بإفراغ القيم العليا من قيمتها. وبالنسبة إلى هايدغر، ينعدم الكائن إذ إنّه يتحوّل بالكامل إلى قيمة. وقد نُظَّم هذا التوصيف المتميز للعدمية، على يد هايدغر، بطريقة تشمل أيضاً نيتشه، العدمي المتمم؛ وإن كان يبدو لهايدغر أن هناك أبعد من العدمية محتملاً ومتوخى، في حين أن إتمام العدمية هو بالنسبة إلى نيتشه كلّ ما يتوجب أن نتوقع ونتمنى. هايدغر نفسه، من وجهة نظر أكثر نيتشوية منها هايدغرية، يندرج في تاريخ إتمام العدمية؛ والعدمية تبدو تحديداً ذاك الفكر الفوقميتافيزيقي (Ultrametafisico) الذي يبحث عنه. لكن هذا كله هو، تحديداً، معنى الأطروحة التي بموجبها تشكّل العدمية المتممة فرصتنا الوحيدة...
كي نفهم التحديد الهايدغري للعدمية بشكل ملائم، ونرى تقاربه مع تحديد نيتشه، لا بد لنا من أن تُسند إلى اللفظة «قيمة»، التي تختزل الكائن فيها، المعنى الدقيق الخاص بقيمة التبادل. وهكذا تكون العدمية اختزالاً للكائن في قيمة التبادل.
كيف يتطابق هذا التحديد مع موت الله» ومع إفراغ القيم العليا من قيمتها عند نيتشه ؟ يتبيّن هذا التطابق إذا انتبهنا إلى أنّ الأمر، أمر، بالنسبة إلى نيتشه أيضاً، لا يقتصر على مجرد اختفاء القيم (Tout court)، بل يتركز على اختفاء القيم العليا، المختصَرَة تماماً في القيمة العليا بامتياز، الله. لكن هذا كله بعيداً من تجريد مفهوم القيمة من معناه – كما رأى جيّداً هايدغر - يحرّره في قوته الخارقة: هناك، حيث يغيب التماس القيمة العليا- الله، النهائية والقاطعة والرادعة تستطيع القيم أن تنبسط في طبيعتها الحقيقية، وهي طبيعة تنطوي على قابلية التبدل والتغيّر والمساءلة، بصورة غير محدودة.
عموماً)؛ وإذا أردنا يحل علم البيان محلّ المنطق بالكامل. وإذا تبعنا الخط الذي يربط العدمية بالقيم نقول إن العدمية، بالمعنى النيتشوي - الهايدغري هي استهلاك لقيمة الاستخدام في قيمة التبادل. فالعدمية ليست أن يكون الكائن تحت سلطة الذات؛ بل أن يكون الكائن قد تحلّل بالكامل في تداول (Dis-correre) القيمة، في التحوّلات الشاسعة للمعادلة الشاملة تمثل الفينومينولوجيا والوجودية الأولى، كما الماركسية الأنسية وتنظير «علوم الروح»، تجليات الخط يوحد قطاعاً واسعاً من الثقافة الأوروبية - ونحن نستطيع تحديده على أنه متميّز بـ «ولع الأصالة» -Pa) (thos dell'autenticita أي بتعابير نيتشوية، بمقاومة إتمام العدمية. وقد التحق بهذا الخط مؤخَّراً، تقليد ظهر إلى الآن، في العديد من تجلياته، بديلاً، إنه التقليد الذي تطوّر انطلاقاً من فيتغنشتاين ومن الثقافة الفينية (Viennese) أيام المقالة (Tractatus)، وصولاً إلى الفلسفة التحليلية الأنغلوسكسونية. هنا أيضاً بقدر ما يبرز «الصوفي» الفيتغنشتايني، تجدنا أمام السعي إلى عزل منطقة مثالية لقيمة الاستخدام والدفاع عنها - أي الدفاع عن مكان لا يغلب فيه تحلّل الكائن في القيمة.
من وجهة نظر العدمية – وبتعميم قد يبدو مُبالغاً - يبدو أن ثقافة القرن العشرين قد شهدت استهلاك جميع مشاريع إعادة الاستحواذ (Riappropriazione). ففي هذا المسار لا تدخل أمور النظرية فحسب، التي تندرج من ضمنها مثلاً، التطويرات اللاكانية للفرويدية؛ إنما تدخل فيه أيضاً، ربما بشكل أساسي الشؤون السياسية الخاصة بالماركسية وبالثورات وبالاشتراكية الواقعية. أما التطلع إلى إعادة الاستحواذ - أكان في شكل الدفاع عن منطقة متحرّرة من قيمة التبادل، أم في الشكل الأكثر طموحاً (الذي يقرّب أقله على المستوى النظري، الماركسية من الفينومينولوجيا)، المتمثل بإعادة تأسيس» الوجود في أفق متفلت من قيمة التبادل ومتركز على قيمة الاستخدام - فقد خضع لاستهلاك، ليس بتعابير الانهزام والاخفاقات العملية، التي لا تنزع عنه شيئاً من بعده المثالي والمعياري.
في الواقع، فقَدَ التطلّع إلى إعادة الاستحواذ معناه بصفته معياراً مثالياً؛ وقد تبين أن هذا التطلع ،بات في نهاية المطاف، غير مجد كإله نيتشه.
يموت الله عند نيتشه كما هو معروف بقدر ما تنتفي حاجة المعرفة للوصول إلى العلل الأخيرة، وبقدر ما تنتفي حاجة الإنسان للاعتقاد أنه نفس خالدة... إلخ. وإن كان الله يموت لأنه ينبغي إنكاره باسم الأمر عينه الخاص بالحقيقية والذي لطالما تقدّم لنا على أنه قانونها، فمعه يفقد أيضاً أمر الحقيقة معناه - وهذا، في النهاية، لأن ظروف الوجود أضحت أقل عنفاً؛ وبالتالي وبصورة خاصة أقل إثارة للشفقة. هنا، في هذا التركيز على عدم جدوية القيم الأخيرة تكمن جذور العدمية المتممة.
تتخذ عدمية نيتشه المتممة بشكل أساسي هذا المعنى أيضاً؛ أن النداء الذي يكلّمنا من عالم الحداثة - المتأخرة هو نداء للانصراف. يطن هذا النداء تحديداً عند هايدغر، الذي طالما حددَ، وبشكل فائق التبسيط، على أنه مفكّرُ «عودة الكائن في حين أن هايدغر هو مَن يتكلم عن ضرورة ترك الكائن بوصفه أساساً»(9)، «للقفز» في «هوته»؛ التي، بقدر ما تُكلّمنا من تعميم قيمة التبادل، من الاصطناع المفروض للتقنية الحديثة لا يمكنها أن تتماثل مع أي عمق من النوع اللاهوتي - السلبي.

كي نفهم التحديد الهايدغري للعدمية بشكل ملائم، ونرى تقاربه مع تحديد نيتشه، لا بد لنا من أن تُسند إلى اللفظة «قيمة»، التي تختزل الكائن فيها، المعنى الدقيق الخاص بقيمة التبادل. وهكذا تكون العدمية اختزالاً للكائن في قيمة التبادل.
كيف يتطابق هذا التحديد مع موت الله» ومع إفراغ القيم العليا من قيمتها عند نيتشه ؟ يتبيّن هذا التطابق إذا انتبهنا إلى أنّ الأمر، أمر، بالنسبة إلى نيتشه أيضاً، لا يقتصر على مجرد اختفاء القيم (Tout court)، بل يتركز على اختفاء القيم العليا، المختصَرَة تماماً في القيمة العليا بامتياز، الله. لكن هذا كله بعيداً من تجريد مفهوم القيمة من معناه – كما رأى جيّداً هايدغر - يحرّره في قوته الخارقة: هناك، حيث يغيب التماس القيمة العليا- الله، النهائية والقاطعة والرادعة تستطيع القيم أن تنبسط في طبيعتها الحقيقية، وهي طبيعة تنطوي على قابلية التبدل والتغيّر والمساءلة، بصورة غير محدودة.
عموماً)؛ وإذا أردنا يحل علم البيان محلّ المنطق بالكامل. وإذا تبعنا الخط الذي يربط العدمية بالقيم نقول إن العدمية، بالمعنى النيتشوي - الهايدغري هي استهلاك لقيمة الاستخدام في قيمة التبادل. فالعدمية ليست أن يكون الكائن تحت سلطة الذات؛ بل أن يكون الكائن قد تحلّل بالكامل في تداول (Dis-correre) القيمة، في التحوّلات الشاسعة للمعادلة الشاملة تمثل الفينومينولوجيا والوجودية الأولى، كما الماركسية الأنسية وتنظير «علوم الروح»، تجليات الخط يوحد قطاعاً واسعاً من الثقافة الأوروبية - ونحن نستطيع تحديده على أنه متميّز بـ «ولع الأصالة» -Pa) (thos dell'autenticita أي بتعابير نيتشوية، بمقاومة إتمام العدمية. وقد التحق بهذا الخط مؤخَّراً، تقليد ظهر إلى الآن، في العديد من تجلياته، بديلاً، إنه التقليد الذي تطوّر انطلاقاً من فيتغنشتاين ومن الثقافة الفينية (Viennese) أيام المقالة (Tractatus)، وصولاً إلى الفلسفة التحليلية الأنغلوسكسونية. هنا أيضاً بقدر ما يبرز «الصوفي» الفيتغنشتايني، تجدنا أمام السعي إلى عزل منطقة مثالية لقيمة الاستخدام والدفاع عنها - أي الدفاع عن مكان لا يغلب فيه تحلّل الكائن في القيمة.
من وجهة نظر العدمية – وبتعميم قد يبدو مُبالغاً - يبدو أن ثقافة القرن العشرين قد شهدت استهلاك جميع مشاريع إعادة الاستحواذ (Riappropriazione). ففي هذا المسار لا تدخل أمور النظرية فحسب، التي تندرج من ضمنها مثلاً، التطويرات اللاكانية للفرويدية؛ إنما تدخل فيه أيضاً، ربما بشكل أساسي الشؤون السياسية الخاصة بالماركسية وبالثورات وبالاشتراكية الواقعية. أما التطلع إلى إعادة الاستحواذ - أكان في شكل الدفاع عن منطقة متحرّرة من قيمة التبادل، أم في الشكل الأكثر طموحاً (الذي يقرّب أقله على المستوى النظري، الماركسية من الفينومينولوجيا)، المتمثل بإعادة تأسيس» الوجود في أفق متفلت من قيمة التبادل ومتركز على قيمة الاستخدام - فقد خضع لاستهلاك، ليس بتعابير الانهزام والاخفاقات العملية، التي لا تنزع عنه شيئاً من بعده المثالي والمعياري.
في الواقع، فقَدَ التطلّع إلى إعادة الاستحواذ معناه بصفته معياراً مثالياً؛ وقد تبين أن هذا التطلع ،بات في نهاية المطاف، غير مجد كإله نيتشه.
يموت الله عند نيتشه كما هو معروف بقدر ما تنتفي حاجة المعرفة للوصول إلى العلل الأخيرة، وبقدر ما تنتفي حاجة الإنسان للاعتقاد أنه نفس خالدة... إلخ. وإن كان الله يموت لأنه ينبغي إنكاره باسم الأمر عينه الخاص بالحقيقية والذي لطالما تقدّم لنا على أنه قانونها، فمعه يفقد أيضاً أمر الحقيقة معناه - وهذا، في النهاية، لأن ظروف الوجود أضحت أقل عنفاً؛ وبالتالي وبصورة خاصة أقل إثارة للشفقة. هنا، في هذا التركيز على عدم جدوية القيم الأخيرة تكمن جذور العدمية المتممة.
تتخذ عدمية نيتشه المتممة بشكل أساسي هذا المعنى أيضاً؛ أن النداء الذي يكلّمنا من عالم الحداثة - المتأخرة هو نداء للانصراف. يطن هذا النداء تحديداً عند هايدغر، الذي طالما حددَ، وبشكل فائق التبسيط، على أنه مفكّرُ «عودة الكائن في حين أن هايدغر هو مَن يتكلم عن ضرورة ترك الكائن بوصفه أساساً»(9)، «للقفز» في «هوته»؛ التي، بقدر ما تُكلّمنا من تعميم قيمة التبادل، من الاصطناع المفروض للتقنية الحديثة لا يمكنها أن تتماثل مع أي عمق من النوع اللاهوتي - السلبي.

THE ITALIAN PHILOSOPHER CONTRASTS MODERNITY/POST-MODERNITY, NIETZSCHE/HEIDEGGER
Gianteresio [“Gianni”] Vattimo (born 1936) is an Italian philosopher (who taught at the University of Turin, and elsewhere) and a member of the European Parliament; he is also openly gay.
He wrote in the introduction to this 1985 book, “This book is a study of the relationship that links the conclusions reached by Nietzsche and Heidegger in their respective works… to more recent discourses on the end of the modern era and on post-modernity. I shall argue that to place these two fields of thought in direct contact with each other… means to discover in them both new and richer aspects of truth. Indeed, the scattered and often incoherent theories of post-modernity only acquire rigor and philosophical credibility when seen in relation to the Nietzschean problematic of the eternal return and the Heideggerian problematic of the overcoming of metaphysics…. It is possible to take Heidegger’s critique of humanism or Nietzsche’s announcement of an accomplished nihilism as ‘positive’ moments for a philosophical reconstruction, and merely as symptoms and declarations of decadence.” (Pg. 1)

Rather, even the sense of an impending atomic catastrophe … will be treated as a characteristic element of this ‘new’ way of living our experience, which may be called the ‘end of history.’ It would help, perhaps, if we were to speak of the ‘end of historicity’ instead, but this might permit a misunderstanding to remain: for we might lose sight of the distinction between history as an objective process within which we are located, and historicity as a certain way of being aware of this fact. He observes, “This dissolution of history means, first and foremost, the breakdown of its unity, and not that it has simply come to an end. It is instead an event that constitutes the historical and ontological constellation in which we move. This constellation is a network of historical and cultural events and of the words which belong to them, at once describing and co-determining them. In other words, there does not exist in the arts such a clear and uncontested base-value against which all changes and transformations can be measured as moments of progress or regression… Rather, any history of the arts appears as a simple extrinsic cataloguing that also serves a functional purpose… The world of art, deprived of this fundamental basis of judgment, seems to be a world in which the play of paradigms and revolutions develops freely, unfettered by the requirements of validity, truth, and verificability.” (Pg. 90)
He suggests, “Secularization itself, in short, contains a tendency toward dissolution which is accentuated with the passage of the pathos of the new toward the field of art. This is in itself a peripheral field… in which the need for the new---and its progressively becoming inessential---is intensified. Secularization, as the establishment of laws proper to each of many different fields and domains of experience, thus appears as a menace to the notion of progress inasmuch as it can eventually thwart that very notion.” (Pg. 102-103)

It is also a preparatory phase for the conditions in which the consciousness of modernity may become such, even in the objective meaning of the genitive…. The crisis of the future which permeates all late-modern culture and social life finds in the experience of art a privileged locus of expression. Such a crisis, obviously, implies a radical change in our way of experiencing history and time, as is somewhat obscurely anticipated by Nietzsche in his ‘doctrine’ of the eternal return of the Same… If in this way the very notion of artistic revolution, caught up in this game of ungrounding, loses some of its meaning, at the same time it perhaps supplies a means of establishing a dialogue between philosophical thought and poetry, in view of that which in contemporary philosophy continually reasserts itself as the possible---through problematical---overcoming of metaphysics.” (Pg. 106-107)

Testo che fa uso della terminologia di Heidegger, per tale motivo molto difficile da comprendere per chi non abbia familiarità col linguaggio di questo filosofo.
Una raccolta di saggi illuminanti sul post-moderno, scritti in anni in cui tale categoria prendeva piede. L'aspetto più importante messo in luce da questo testo è il cambiamento di paradigma che segna il passaggio da moderno a postmoderno. La modernità crede nell'idea di progresso e soprattutto di nuovo, il nuovo da elemento eccezionale diventa la routine, quasi paradossalmente. Il postmoderno, invece, lavora con ciò che resta del pensiero passato, dissolvendo il nuovo come valore.
Il postmoderno mette in crisi il metodo scientifico come strumento della ricerca della verità, poiché il metodo scientifico, per mostrarsi come tale, deve partecipare a una certa "retorica" che lo rende riconoscibile. Questo elemento retorico, tuttavia, ne mostra i limiti. C'è sempre, quindi, qualcosa che sfugge, che non può essere espresso sotto forma di linguaggio, cioè di dato culturale. Se il linguaggio crea il mondo, questo silenzio mostra, al contrario, la terra: la pura materialità di un esistente che non riesce a darsi come elemento culturale, che non si riesce a comprendere. Questa presenza permette alla poesia di essere tale, come linguaggio che cerca di rilevare la terra, questo ulteriore che va al di là del senso.
L'arte da eterna diviene soggetta al tempo: l'arte invecchia e ciononostante resiste e resta e compito del critico è quello di valutarne i resti, non di ripristinarla nella sua originarietà. In questa forza restante si cela il senso di classico.

Vattimo consegue que entendamos Nietzsche, Heidegger, Gadamer, entre outros tantos filósofos que são conhecidos, também, pela complexidade dos seus textos. Não só possibilita o caminho de entrada à Ontologia e a hermenêutica, mas nos faz refletir sobre o período que nos cabe, ou seja, modernidade, aludindo a que nosso tempo prefere reinventar-se para não cair, ainda mais, nos poços da técnica, do cientificismo e da racionalidade.
Enfim, uma maravilha, tanto para filófosos como para os questionadores do humano.

Vattimo is undoubtedly a sharp thinker, but his project unfolds as a kind of dissolutionism dressed in philosophical subtlety — a persistent attempt to weaken, erode, or deconstruct strong structures within society, metaphysics, and subjectivity. The problem is not his intelligence but the absence of self-critique: he advances his interpretive horizon as if it were the only legitimate one, blind to how many of his conclusions rest on assumptions he never interrogates. This becomes especially clear in his readings of Nietzsche and Heidegger. The early chapters of his work contain interesting observations, but because they are built on premises I find deeply questionable, the rest of his argument feels like a structure erected on an unresolved fissure. His treatment of Heidegger is the most striking case. Vattimo stubbornly insists on categorizing Heidegger as a nihilist, and instead of working through the tension this creates, he simply accepts the contradiction and constructs his entire theory of “weak thought” on top of it, as if the wound itself were a foundation.
According to Vattimo, Heidegger radicalizes Nietzsche’s nihilism by shifting it from the collapse of values to the withdrawal of Being itself. Under technological enframing, the world supposedly becomes “standing-reserve,” where things matter only insofar as they can be used. This, for Vattimo, is nihilism in its deepest form: the flattening of Being into pure utility. Where Nietzsche diagnoses a cultural crisis, Heidegger supposedly reveals its ontological mechanism; metaphysics reaches its endpoint in technology, exposing itself as a historical construction rather than a structure grounded in truth. Once metaphysics “weakens,” humanism collapses along with it, since the supposed human essence turns out to be just another metaphysical artifact. Technology, in this reading, reveals metaphysics as nothing but an extended will-to-order, and once this becomes visible, the human loses its metaphysical privilege and dissolves into a field of interpretations.
But the entire structure of Vattimo’s reasoning rests on a misunderstanding — not only of Heidegger but of what metaphysics even is. He follows Heidegger’s language about enframing and the withdrawal of Being, yet misses the deeper ontological claim that undermines his whole project: Being never discloses itself except within a horizon of care. The world is not given as pure utility unless one already ignores the primordial structure that allows anything to appear as meaningful in the first place. This means that nihilism, in the radical sense Vattimo posits, is ontologically impossible. The shared world of concerns, practices, and significance precedes the technological interpretation of it. Care is more fundamental than enframing; therefore, the total reduction of beings to resource — the condition Vattimo insists on — cannot serve as the basis for understanding Being as such. His reading turns an ontic phenomenon into an ontological conclusion, and the result is a projection rather than a discovery.
This point reveals an even more decisive flaw, one that feels almost like a philosophical koan: to declare the death of metaphysics, one must first affirm that metaphysics exists. And if it exists enough to “die,” then it cannot die in any ontological sense — only our understanding of it can change. Every proclamation of the “end” of metaphysics is itself a metaphysical statement about the nature of metaphysics. The thesis self-deconstructs: the very act of announcing the death of metaphysics confirms the metaphysical status of the announcement. In this light, Vattimo’s whole enterprise is caught in a contradiction he never notices. His definition of metaphysics — as the rigid, oppressive structure that technology finally exposes and dissolves — is in my view precisely what metaphysics is not. Well written, interesting and provocative. From the late portion of the 20th century, Vattimo’s point of view is perhaps not a unique one, along the Nietzsche-Heidegger-Gadamer axis, but his deep understanding of their respective philosophies and clear communication style add up to something that probably is.
The book contains essays on nihilism, an interesting section on Heidegger’s unique views on aesthetics, and hermaneutics (meaning interpretation, which is Vattimo’s specialty—he studied under Gadamer, who literally wrote the book on hermaneutics, Truth and Method) which is perhaps the most insightful topic in the text.
There is a lot to disagree with in Vattimo’s pro-postmodernistic position, but nonetheless I find his ideas about the state of western civilization accurate.
I agree with Vattimo’s notion of nihilism, which is basically Nietzsche's: it is modernism, defined as a process having its foundation in the notion of progress, which eventually falters and runs aground, but is then renewed in an eternal return to its foundation where it once again seeks progress in the "new." Vattimo augments this definition (via Heidegger) with the process explicitly being determined by the fixation on exchange value (or in other words, free market capitalism).
What I disagree with is Vattimo’s embracing of this sense of nihilism. He sees opportunity in this blank slate or void that nihilism produces, the destruction of humanism for example (because it was problematic to begin with). But he seems to miss that, for all the "opportunity" it creates, this Pax Romana was built on ruins (as in, "they make a desert and call it peace").
Vattimo attempts to mollify such concerns, but thirty years on (the book was originally published in 1985) what do we have to show for our globalized postmodern nihilism? I'm not sure we have headed in the right direction.
Or to put it another way, one is left wondering, is postmodernism simply anti-modernism? If somebody accepts moderism's dissolution because of its problematics, are we moving to a place where everyone is better off, or will the blank slate simply be a cleared field that is set for a reactionary putsch, which much of the world seems to be living through right now?

"El ideal del progreso es algo vacío y su valor final es el de realizar condiciones en que siempre sea posible un nuevo progreso".
Cuando uno lee el concepto de posmodernidad por primera vez, se vuelve como macartista. En lugar de ver comunismo por todos lados, ve posmodernidad hasta en los elementos más sencillos de la realidad social.
Vattimo emprende la tarea de explicar las raíces filosóficas de la posmodernidad. Acierta en explicar que este concepto ha sido coptado por la sociología y economía política, dejando a un lado las raíces y tradiciones del pensamiento filosófico. Para el desarrollo de esta tarea pone a dialogar a Nietzsche y Heidegger para explicar el fin de la época moderna.
La modernidad debe ser entendida desde el mito del progreso y la constante superación de los estados de la historia. La posmodernidad plantea la "disolución de la categoría de lo nuevo", la negación del constante avance hacia la perfectibilidad. Nietzsche y Heidegger son los pensadores que desde la filosofía fijan las bases para la poshistoricidad, es decir dejar de entender la historia como progreso, y ceden al reconocimiento del nihilismo de la ausencia de fundamento como parte constitutiva de nuestra condición.
Este proceso trae la "desvalorización de los valores supremos": la muerte de Dios en Nietzsche o la reducción del ser en valor para Heidegger. Todo se acompaña por la crisis del humanismo, ante a la renuncia de la subjetividad humana por la técnica y el cientificismo.
El libro más que un intento de entender la posmodernidad y aportar en su entendimiento desde la hermenéutica ontológica, se convierte en una tentativa de mantener relevante a Heidegger en discusiones contemporáneas. A veces un poco forzado, otras veces un poco ininteligible.

El Fin de la Modernidad es un conjunto de ensayos presentados en congresos, revistas y en algunos libros, en donde Gianni Vattimo, célebre filósofo italiano, intenta hacer coincidir las ideas de Federico Nietzsche con las de Martín Heidegger. Estos pensadores vivieron en siglos diferentes, XIX y XX, por lo que sus experiencias fueron igualmente distintas.
A F. Nietzsche, puede considerársele como el "profeta" del posmodernismo al declarar la muerte de Dios, y, como consecuencia, la muerte de la Historia ( la idea de historia como la salvación a que se refiere el pensamiento judeo-cristiano, que nos proporciona un lugar en ella), y la transvaloración de los valores que conducen al nihilismo. M. Heidegger creó en El Ser y el Tiempo, un sistema filosófico de corte psicologista freudiano y lacaniano, distinto al de Nietzsche, y no encuentro una clara coincidencia entre los dos.
El tema del fin de la modernidad y el advenimiento de la posmodernidad fue un tema muy traído y llevado en Europa en la década de los años 80,del que tuvimos algunos ecos a principios de los 90 en este país. Los europeos discutieron el tema que era imposible vislumbrar en esta sociedad tan atrasada como la nuestra, más o menos a 100 años luz de distancia de la europea. Ahora bien, han pasado más de 25 años y podemos constatar la transvaloración de los valores de que el buen Nietzsche nos previno. El problema que se presenta al haber pasado a la posmodernidad (caracterizada por disolver la categoría de lo nuevo como experiencia no catastrófica
del fin de la historia, esto es igual a una nueva forma de vivir), es que el hombre sigue siendo el mismo, no hay un proyecto nuevo de hombre ni tampoco se han diseñado valores nuevos, ¿y el nihilismo? ¡Bien, gracias!

Interesante recolección de artículos de Vattimo que abordan la posmodernidad en su vertiente filosófica y estética. Son textos complejos con términos filosóficos que refieren a obras previas del propio autor y que dificultan sobremanera su lectura (en gran parte porque son términos sin traducir del alemán). Una obra profunda y provocativa que viene a abrirse un hueco propio dentro de los fundamentos posmodernos y que hace una especial crítica a la Escuela de Fráncfort.
La tesis fundamental del libro es la exposición de los conceptos de posmodernidad, nihilismo y hermenéutica. Muestra el hilo conductor que existe entre Nietzsche y Heidegger y cómo conforman la ontología hermenéutica ("urbanizada" posteriormetne por Gadamer), base del pensamiento débil que caracteriza a la posmodernidad. Esta "acepta" la tecnociencia y metafísica modernas con "resignación-distorsión" (Verwindung). A diferencia de la teoría crítica, Vattimo afirma la imposibilidad de superar el esquema moderno para librarnos de su alienación, ante lo cual solo cabe vivir una experiencia estética de la realidad moderna, que no es más que una realidad sin fundamento (Grund) que se ha tornado en una fábula asumida metafísicamente.
Aunque áspero, es un libro altamente recomendable para iniciar en la lectura de Gadamer y Heidegger especialmente, de quienes toma (y explica) conceptos y método filosófico.

الكتاب معقد وصعب ولا أعرف هل السبب في أن الترجمة العربية غير جيدة، أو أن اسلوب جاني فاتيمو ذاته صعب، أو أن الأطروحات الفلسفية التي استعرضها كانت شديدة التعقيد، وربما لأني لم اطلع مسبقاً على اطروحات نيتشة وهايدغر وغادمر الذين يدور موضوع الكتاب حول المقاربات الفكرية التي تربط نتائجهم.
موضوع وفكرة الكتاب مثيرة وهي عن ظاهرة التحول أو الانتقال إلى حقبة فلسفية جديدة تتمثل في مابعد الحداثة، ولا يعني هذا أن الكتاب عن مابعد الحداثة تحديدا
لكنه عن المرحلة التي سبقتها مرحلة نهاية الحقبة الماضية والخطابات الفلسفية التي تحدثت عن نهاية العصر الحديث.
لكن عرض هذه المفاهيم وشروحاتها التي تمثل نهاية الحداثة كان في غاية التعقيد،
اشعر بحاجة ورغبة حقيقية للعودة لقراءة هذا الكتاب مرة أخرى بعد الاطلاع على الفلسفة العدمية وخطابات المفكرين الذين استعرض الكتاب خطاباتهم. . كان القسم الثاني من الكتاب والمتعلق بحقيقة الفن وموته أو أفوله من الأطروحات المهمة والذي دار حول معاني موت الفن فلسفياً، كان هذا الجزء من الكتاب أوضح بالنسبة لي بالرغم من تعقيده، ربما لأني سبق ان اطلعت على ما ذكره هيغل حول هذا الموضوع بالاضافة لاطلاعي على أطروحة ارثر دانتو عن نهاية تاريخ الفن.
بشكل عام،، الكتاب معقد واشعر بعجز عن تقييمه بالرغم من أهمية موضوعه الفلسفي

I don't know. . . I guess it was good. I only had to read about 4 other books and a million essays to get a grip on what was going on in here. It was rigorous reading. A mountain of a text.
