Kuinka hienoa, että June sai oman kirjansa tähän Maailman viimeiset tyypit -sarjaan. Tuleekohan jatkossa muistakin sivuhahmoista omansa?

June on harkitsevainen, Jack menee pää kolmantena jalkana pohtimatta lainkaan etukäteen. Pieni miinus liiallisesta alleviivaamisesta, että June haluaa työskennellä toimittajana.

261 pages. Another great book in the series. This time June meets up with some strange monsters and ends up getting lost. She gets separated from the guys and has to use all her good instincts and courage to keep moving forward. She has to make some tough decisions and figure out what is the best choice. I like how the author has developed her character and let his readers get to know June a little better this time. If you are already a fan, you will love the illustrations, drama, and humor throughout. There is never a dull moment in this zombie-filled, monster-crazed world! Bravo! Loved it! Highly recommended for Grades 4-5.

June's Wild Flight, otherwise known as How to Train Your Winged Wretch. :)

Neon's just about the cutest thing since the offspring of Toothless and the Light Fury.

Yet another incredible entry in The Last Kids on Earth Series! This book was particularly fun because we got to know June a lot better, and of course, meet some new characters along the way :)

This series is great and this book was no exception!! It was cool to see June get her own book and it exceeded my expectations!!! I loved the new characters in this book!! The baby Wreck was very cute and to my surprise not evil and the there is Johnny Steve. Johnny Steve is a weird owl who thinks he is an expert on everything human. This guy is a hoot…..get it?😅 But anyway this was a great book and enjoyed it very much!

That was amazing, the story of the baby wretch and June was masterfully written and I must say I enjoyed how she sacrificed something for an evil monster (or something that was meant to be an evil monster). The fact that her character development grew is also a nice little bonus

This was awesome. I loved Johnny Steve and Neon and was sad to see them go. I'm excited for the wider world, and it really seems like the authors are starting an epic quest with their characters. It was getting a little stale, but this book brought it right back.

June's voice was a nice change of pace from Jack, not everything was three pop-culture references and a heroic shout before the same inevitable events play out. I hope all the characters get a unique adventure; I got to have more Quint (when he asked the math teacher about Jack and June I was laughing out loud).

I especially like how the books continue to stay above the politics of today. June is an awesome, strong character, but it isn't weakness to want friends and to have them help her with her problems. It is a form of strength. June was awesome, and it was great getting to spend some time with her in the Monster Apocalypse.

June is definitely my superhero. How she saved the baby wretch was awesome and even without her friends she is a force to be reckoned with.

I love this series. I’m glad they had a girl narrator since it’s through Junes perspective, but I had a harder time knowing who was speaking since she didn’t change her voice for the kids. I have a new favorite monster and he is an owl named Johnny Steve. He is a “human expert” and I love him with all my heart. Goblet is another monster on June Solo adventure. And she is ANNOYING. Like Shiver the polar bear from Barbie Pegasus movie annoying. I thought the pirate monster’s riding ogres was sweet. Overall I liked the book and it was fun to see June’s perspective on living with the boys. BUT I did miss those boys and I think that’s why I didn’t like it quite as much as the rest of the series.

SPOILERS and book notes:
I love that this book is from junes perspective!! It’s a new narrator too! Look what she says so cute: “And here’s the topper—I live in a tree house with three middle school boys. Yes. It gets gross. But it’s generally pretty rad, because they’re also my best friends in the whole world:” I love jacks protectiveness of her. ““June!” Jack shouted, sounding a little bit panicky. “If you’re trying to be a show-off, DON’T! I’m the show-off! I have all the showing off covered . . . and I’m not even that good at it!” Also a cute new monster friend: Globlet! He looks like a ball of silly putty and is adorable. The pop up shield that June tested works! Quint designed it, Dirk built it, and Jack says he is head inspirer and it’s very important. Rifters come in! They are like monster pirates and they are riding ogres! They shoot arrows. They are after a creature. June gets pulled away by the ogres and Jack calls after her: “June we’ll find you! Promise!” Goblet is with her on June Solo adventure. And she is ANNOYING. Like shiver the polar bear from Barbie Pegasus movie annoying. The rifters are capturing a creature to take to thrawl! June releases it and it’s a baby wretch! )(gave Jack visions and serve the evil dude) named the cute baby neon. And June meets an oversized owl monster! He is the coolest! Goggles, and a shawl and books and he is hilarious. Says that according to his books June and goblet are a parakeet and a microwave. Two earth bound creatures known for their closely bonded relationship lol. He says he is a human expert even if he has never met one in the flesh yet. He reminds me of blekley from LILO and stitch. And his name is Johnny Steve!! I LOVE HIM. He named himself so he would fit in with any humans he encounters. Being a human expert, he chose to make his home in the place humans love most: a porta potty. Did you know humans love toilets? Neon used to have wings and could fly but someone took it from him. He is not evil like his kind! He is so good! Don’t give him back!! It’s good to see junes perspective and how much she appreciates her buds. Bc neon lost his wings, his other wretch pack reject him. Yay Jack and quint and Dirk come crashing in to save June and neon and Johnny Steve and goblet from the rifters! “Guys look! I’m riding a wretch!!” “Just like George Washington did at the battle of mars!” -Johnny Steve. I love how worried Jack was for June when they were separated. He was jsut freaking out the whole time haha. Neon and Johnny Steve have to go on their own errands so are leaving them. So touching. I love those two. Hopefully they will come back.

Title:Last kid on Earth Junes wild Flight

This book is a solo adventure about one character named June and how she finds a new companion instead of her friends Jake,Dirk, and Quint and her monster friends. This book starts off with the gang testing out new gear eventually they go back and there is something going on ogres and people riding them June's chases after them and realizes they are chasing something, June gets separated they get to a stopping point and she fights her way out and finds what there chasing she feels bad for it and frees it they both get out alive June finds out the creature is a baby wretch but she doesn't want the creature so she tries to find a way to bring it back to is home on the way the find another creature that calls itself Johnny steves. They go through crazy adventures together from fighting monsters underwater to finding each others memories and getting to know each other throughout all of that they get to the winged wrenches when they return the baby wretch they realize quickly that they don't want the baby wretch any more his family has rejected him.The ravagers come back and kidnap June and the last thing she sees is the baby wretch laying on the floor. She comes back and finds out everyone is alive they fight there way out and just in time her friends come to help in the end they all get out alive and Johnny steves goes his own way. June realizes they have to find Thrull before it's too late and they go on a little road trip.

Ok the author made this book to were it bad the reader want to read more but also had some emotions to knowing if the baby wretch was ok I also feel like the author tried to make it so the reader was felt related to the book and also tried to make the reader feel bad for the character and sometimes sad.

I recommend this book to readers that like to be left on a cliffhanger I also recommend this book to people who like this series this book was very good for readers that like this character and want to get more into this character and that sometimes it includes some epic references and that's why i recommend this book.

After a new shield testing session goes epically wrong, June learned that ogres, chains, and doom karts are not a good combo and finds herself way out of Wakefield. One of the friendly little monsters who lives at the pizza place, Globlet, has managed to follow June, but also doesn't know where they are or how to get home. As they set out, they come across some monster pirates trying to catch a baby Watcher. And though June has had bad experiences with Watchers, she can't just let it be harassed. Especially when she hears the pirate guys talking about taking it to Thrull! So now June and Globlet must figure out how to save the baby Watcher and get it home, while also getting info out of the pirate guys about what they know about Thrull's latest whereabouts.

This is my favorite book in the series so far. I liked getting out of Wakefield and exploring more of the world. And there was definitely less eye-rolling with June narrating than Jack. I liked the survival/quest plot. And it was a stroke of genius to bring Globlet to the forefront because she's hilarious. (This monster has been briefly introduced in previous books but never got any serious page time till now.) The baby Watcher reminds me strongly of Toothless in How to Train Your Dragon, and I love Toothless. The other companion June picks up is a bit more annoying with his "expert knowledge" of humans that is 98% wrong (and he's 100% convinced he knows best, even when the human tells him he's wrong), but is very loyal and there for the gang when it gets tough. Jack, Quint, and Dirk are fun to hang out with, but I have to say after reading this, June has the best adventures.

Notes on content: No language issues. No sexual content. An incident caused a creature to lose appendages and that resulted in hazing by peers. There are monster battles, but it's usually just to the point of one running away. Some minor injuries on page. Some monster dispatching implied but not shown.

"But that's what it means to be in charge of your own adventure. Sometimes you have to do the hard thing. And I remind myself: the reason it's the hard thing is because it's the right thing."

The last words she hears from Jack is "June! We will find you! Promise!" After being drgged away from Jack, Quinn and Dirk, June must try to figure out how to be reunited with them. At least she's not alone. After all, she has Globlet and her Thing-A-Ma-Blastey Gadget Blaster. So, she's ready for what Globlet calls the June and Globlet Adventure.

And what an adventure. First, she meets up with a Wretch. It appears to be a baby Wretch, but still, these creatures aren't good news. "He just, like ... wants to be nearby. Which would be fine, if he wasn't evil. Can the creature be trusted? Maybe he's too young to be evil? June allows Neon (Globlet's name for the creature) to tag along, but they are keeping an eye on it. And, of course, one of the first things Neon does is eat June's walkie-talkie ... her only connection with the guys.

There are ogres and rifters, of course, but there is also an over-sized owl dude named Johnny Steve who thinks he's an expert on human. He appears from the depths of a port-a-potty, which seems to be symbolic of the creature, because what he knows about humans is a lot of manure. "... I am something of a human EXPERT. However, you are actually the first human I've met in the flesh! One of his precious nuggets about humans? "Humans can easily survive falls up to 92, 470 feet!" I guy with this kind of thinking isn't exactly an asset, but he wants to tag along, as well. Why? Because "Human are notoriously breakable."

Together this band of misfits takes on the challenge of a post-apocalyptic landscape filled with unusual creatures, zombies and one seriously rotten mini golf course.

A funny addition to the series.

June embarks on a solo adventure mid-apocalypse, and you might be wondering - is this a prequel? But it's not, instead June is carried off by a runaway monster and (temporarily) leaves the guys behind. She finds making decisions on her own a little more stressful now than before she tagged up with the guys in the first book, simply because she has more people to worry about (not only Quint, Dirk, and Jack, but also all her monster friends, and oh yeah, the evil Thrull and the final destruction of her world...) The previous books in the series already established that June is very capable of taking care of herself, so she's no "woe is me" heroine, but she does miss her friends and hopes to wrap up this adventure and get back to them sooner rather than later. To do so, she must decide whether or not to trust a winged wretch, navigate a flooded village, and escape the Rifters and the Ogres... so basically it's a normal day in the apocalypse.

Another great volume in The Last Kids on Earth series, June's solo adventure is as fun as the rest of the books. It's a nice change of pace to listen to June's thoughts, as usually Jack is the narrator, and I'd be fine with Quint and Dirk getting a turn at solo trips as well (either as prequels or as sidebars to the timeline like this was). I enjoy how tough and capable the character of June is written, and I loved Globlet, Johnny Steve, and Neon as her companions. I'm excited for the growing universe of this series, and how they are slowly branching out into the wider world.

The Last Kids on Earth: June’s Wild Ride by Max Brallier and illustrated by Douglas Holgate is the hilarious, yet sentimental, new installment in the Last Kids on Earth series and it was exactly what I needed for today’s read!

June del Toro finds herself in unfamiliar territory when she is drug away from Wakefield by a retreating monster hoard. Managing to escape, she finds herself alone for the first time since her days of hiding in the school. And so her solo adventure begins, only it quickly becomes not so solo as she finds Globlet and then rescues a baby wretch she names Neon. Then to complete her new motley crew of friends she meets Johnny Steve, an owl-like monster who is convinced he is a human expert. Can this ragtag team keep Neon out of the clutches of the evil Rifters? Or are they all doomed???

This is a fantastic series for grade-school kids. It's kind of a graphic novel/chapter book combo which my 8 and 12 year-0ld boys loved. I don't think I commented on every single book in the series, but they are all well-written and fun. This is the most recent book, and is a little different, being told from June's (the only girl of the main character group) perspective. It had to hook me a little better than the others, I wasn't sold right away but once the adventures got going it was just as good as the others. Hope the author keeps up the series!

I really enjoyed this book. I love how there was a female protagonist and how we got a back story to June's character. I felt as this book truly elevated the meaning of the whole series for me. I really hope we get some future feminine powerhouses in the Last Kids on Earth Series. It makes me wonder why Brallier opted to have primarily male characters in the series... is it because this series is targeted towards boys instead of girls? I will have to ask him this directly. Such a great read and I almost recommend reading this story second after the first book

Being a long time fan and having another book to read is always exciting. This book was another great installment to the amazing series which gave someone else's perspective in the light. To sum the book up, basically June gets taken away from Wakefield and is trying to find her way back. Through her journey, she finds more monsters, good or bad and helps one along the way. This book ultimately brings a new format to an already amazing series, making it more enjoyable.

So much fun! I wasn’t sure in the beginning of this series of having June portrayed as a damsel in distress but I love how Brallier has strengthened her and given her such a strong, solid storyline- especially for a series primary targeted towards young boys. My son loves her and I love that he loves her and gets to see strong woman in media! Her own solo adventure is epic! Also…Johnny Steve and Globlet are hilarious which is a plus!

An excellent installment in the series! My son loves reading these books and is kind of turned into a mini family book club thing. I thought it was very well written and full of action and adventure. It ended too abruptly for me, though. Just means we'll have to dig into the Skelton Road right away😁

One of the great things that Max does with this series is capture the "voice" of the kids as well as expressing the trauma they are going through. I LOVE that June got her own adventures and that she learned how much her friends mean to her. I also love that she totally knows that Jack is crushing on her :)
