The way I write and approach research has been shaped (bless me!) by many incredible people. These individuals can be grouped into three categories: researchers, authors, and mentors. They’ve created websites, shared their struggles through blogs, published their work, and, from these varied sources, I’ve learned so much. Their journeys have inspired me in countless ways, and now, I feel it’s my turn to pay it forward. 😊

About Me

Born and raised in India, I wrote whenever I could—even after becoming a doctor. Writing was my savior during tough times, though it always remained just a hobby. Later, I moved to Australia to further my research and complete a PhD in Biomedical Sciences.

People often say, “You change after completing your PhD.” I certainly have. Suddenly (don’t ask me why!), I feel a strong urge to write more books and share my stories with the world. I’ve also discovered a deep passion for helping others develop their research and creative skills—something that has become one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life.

This story grabs the reader from the start and never lets go! The process of solving this complicated plot by Cranston, the detective, and the medical examiner takes dark turns--so much so, that the story brushes the edges of the paranormal, but does not take that plunge. Rather, this is a thrilling mystery that is certain to please any fan of the genre!

This was a great murder thriller! There were many excellent plot twists along the way. I also enjoyed the various settings such as, Egypt to New York. The paranormal mystery aspect kept me reading the book to the very last page. Highly recommend this magical book!

This is an excellent thriller. The mystery is real, the questions are tantalizing, and there is the ever present wonder of if the entire thing has a supernatural bent or not, that isn't resolved until... well, I won't spoil~ For a thrilling murder(s) case, I would recommend definitely.

Yet the characters are many and the story doesn't focus on the core cast as much as the narrative sounds like it should. The plot brings up the consequences of the mystery and trying to solve it often, and when that is brought up front that is wonderful (a father and son conversation about what one did to protect the other comes to mind). But often it is a footnote when two people have a conversation, or an argument, and the relationships remain bare. Most of the characters are there only to fill in places for the plot.

Which is unfortunate, because there is a lot of potential in the *character* of the characters. The characters are described having such rich relationships with each other. Therefore, I wish it could have been shown more.

Also, there were some punctuation issues in my copy, where all dashes were replaced with underscores? The other grammatical issues I could handle, but those were distracting.

A Supernatural Mystery

Haunted is a thriller that left me literally on the edge of my seat, turning each page in anticipation and craving more. The author leaves no detail left undone and for the first part I felt like I was in a real life game of Clue, trying to figure out who dunnit. Haunted takes its time in the beginning to set up the rich array of well crafted characters before taking us deep into a cerebral space that invokes the supernatural, but is it real? This is where the world the author creates starts to get more interesting for me, and as an avid reader of supernatural and horror genres, I was loving the interweaving and plot twists the author takes us on. For me, it had the classic film noir tone to it, even though it takes place in the present day in 2015. It is a magical mystery of the unknown and a definite must read.

The mystery's most intriguing aspect was my unexpected sympathy for the white king by the story's conclusion. From the very start, I've been captivated by the plot, especially since it's my inaugural foray into the realm of mystery thrillers. The characters are vividly depicted, and I appreciate how the narrative seamlessly weaves suspense and supernatural elements. Without a doubt, I'd endorse this book and eagerly anticipate exploring more of this author's literary creations.

This was just wow after reading this book! So creative for sure! Thrillers were something I have never read before until reading this one for sure. It kept me on the edge of my seat. All of these deaths and an explanation of why needed! William Sterling was such an interesting character all throughout the book. It was well done, and addicting. I want to read more from this author for sure.

A suicide was one thing, but when three appear from no where William is convinced there is more to it. Determined to find the truth he begins to dig, his tunnel focus unlocking more dangers than he can imagine. Just when it seems he is close to an answer everything goes wrong. There is more going on than meets the eye, and with recent events there is no denying his suspicions were correct. The question is, who is behind these mysterious murders, and what is their end game. Can the connections be found and the truth be uncovered before it is too late, or will the death toll continue to rise

Haunted by H.G. Ahedi is the third book in the Cranston Mysteries Series, although in honestly it worked so well as a stand alone I didn't realise until I came to write this review. I really enjoyed this author's writing style, which flowed seamlessly between different people's perspectives, with a great balance between description, character interaction, and development that made for an interesting read. I do love a good mystery and appreciated the clues and hints woven through the plot. There is a great cast, each with their own distinctive issues, challenges, and personalities which ensure you view them not only as real people, but become invested in each part of the story as it comes together. Well executed beginning to end with danger, action, and mystery throughout.

This was a surprise read. I wasn't expecting a lot but I gave it a try because I liked the cover. From a new author who hasn't published much (this is her second book), the writing style is amazing. While reading, I could mostly relate the plot to Sherlock Holmes murder mysteries and Game of Thrones (although not that brutal). The author could go a bit deep with the characters, but this really didn't stop me from finishing the book. The dialogue between the characters is very interesting, so is the humor that just get you out of the blue. Overall, Haunted is a great read, with lot of action and several characters interacting together.

Started this book... slow start, been sick with fever so it took me about until 27% of the start of the book to get it. There are main characters but the auxiliary ones are just as important that’s why it took me awhile to get to know all of them and once I did I was hooked... super complex story, such attention to detail and you can see the research by the author was done properly... you won’t be disappointed by reading this one

Join Roumoult and William in solving the mystery surrounding three apparent suicides, as they dodge near-fatal attacks. The suspense builds quickly, with the happenings hinting at the involvement of supernatural forces as well as the human hand in equal measures. The final denouement not only satisfies but shocks. Author H Ahedi is definitely out to thrill the readers!

The White King and plenty of mystery, and some sinister adventure

Probably the best part of the mystery was that I felt sorry for the white king at the end of the mystery.

The story starts on a sinister note - on board a ship, which had been brutally attacked. A greenish substance there, adds to the mystery.

But then the story moves to another timeline through William, and there are three very difficult to explain deaths. Though all the evidence points to suicides, William has a suspicion that these are murders. The toxicology reports support this theory faintly. But the unexpected happens when the bodies and William are found missing. The cameras reveal nothing useful. That brings Tom, Joan and Roumoult into the story as they try to decipher the incidents that had happened.

An element of the paranormal activity is thrown around and that seems to be the most obvious answer for the whole event.

After plenty of inquiry, they finally find a lead and even that literally ends up as a dead end. But the group continues and after many life threatening attempts, there leads to a smuggling ring and many other issues and slowly, the black king and his associates become part of the story.

But this is just the beginning as the story leads to the white king, his sad story and why the events on the ship unfolded in the beginning.

The narration was quick and the suspense kept building at the end of every chapter. The twists and turns were very unpredictable. Particularly enjoyed the characters and their relationships with each other.

Thrill, action, adventure and drama - all rolled into one. Enjoyable read.

A cleverly crafted mystery

What an entertaining read. There were so many things I enjoyed about this book. The author included a short but effective prologue that set the tone for an exciting thrill ride. I thought it was a clever way to blur the line between reality and the paranormal, and it worked by making the reader repeatedly ask those questions as the plot played out. The story is filled with twists, turns, suspense and descriptive action scenes. Dialogue was bang-on and flowed naturally, and the author used her in-depth science background effectively to advance the plot. In summary, I found Haunted a very imaginative and intelligently written who-done-it. It weaves down a path, keeps you guessing, and its fast pace serves to heighten the tension. In the end, everything comes together like a complex puzzle. I would definitely recommend this book and look forward to reading other works from this author.
