When one door closes, another door opens. Or in my case, kill one monster and another comes knocking. It’s nothing new, since someone has had it out for me my whole life. I’ve learned to not only live with but expect the constant peril.
Demons attack? Must be Monday. Send hexes my way? Just another Tuesday night. Get kidnapped and held hostage by vampires? Well, that’s just a typical weekend for me.
But go after the man I love and I’ll stop at nothing to hunt you down, even if it means seeking help from an unlikely—and untrustworthy—source. I’m willing to do whatever it takes to save Lucas, risking crossing a line that can’t be uncrossed. They say there’s evil in my blood, and I’m going to show them just how dark I can go.
For Hell hath no fury like a witch out for revenge.

I am bored to tears of the "omg you are the awesomest bestest beautifulest bad assest witch out there" and "I love you so much I wasn't alive before you" lovey dovey drivel going on with the books. I don't know how I managed to get this far with this series but this is where I end this unhealthy relationship.
Though my biggest regret is that I haven't been reviewing the books from the start. They are the best kind of rage review materials.
Well I saw that coming throughout the book but didn't expect it in this series She was seriously annoying in this one....we get a few answers but I'm not sure where Goodwin is going with this
I’ve been waiting for this book for months! I love the series and couldn’t wait to continue it. So this book started out with a very dramatic main character. A little strange but I was like “stressful situation, understandable if a little out of character.” Then I made it to 25% of the book and something just clicked for me. Spoilers ahead.
This series is by above and beyond one of my absolute favorite series, and this book just raised the bar! Callie and Lucas are absolutely everything. Reading their story puts the biggest smile on my face and makes me so incredibly happy.
Once again, Callie is never short of the chaos that reigns in her life. Never a dull moment that’s for sure. Demons, a psychotic witch, rogue hunters, and more. But Callie and Lucas always take it in stride. The bond they have is unbreakable and undeniable. There is something so incredibly special about Callie and Lucas’s relationship. Every time they are together I get all giddy inside, because together they are perfection. The way they accept each other completely and would do anything to protect the other is truly stunning.
There are some huge developments throughout this story that will have you falling even more in love with this series. Every character, every moment will have you sitting at the edge of your seat, wanting and devouring every word.
Emily Goodwin has created such a special series that I know will stick with me forever!
WOW! Just wow. I have enjoyed Callie and Lucas' journey throughout this whole series but Curse of Night, in my opinion, is the best of the series so far. It pulled me in from the very start. It had me guessing and questioning the whole way. There is so much that goes down surrounding Callie and Lucas, including a very unexpected yet pleasant surprise. They're tested in ways they never thought possible. But as is the way for Callie and Lucas, when one crisis or problem is eliminated another presents itself. Sadly we're left hanging at the end and will have to wait for the next book to see what more is in store for these two and their friends and family. I for one can not wait to see what Emily Goodwin has planned. Based on that ending, it's going to be nothing short of spectacular.
5 FREAKING FANTASTIC STARS!! This series is out of this world...IT IS SO FREAKING GOOD!! Lucus and Callie continue their journey in Thorne Hill and what a ride it has been. I can't wait for the next book. If you haven't started this series you are missing out.
It was obvious that Callie was going to get pregnant && I'll say whoever edited, missed lots of formatting and spelling errors. Great continuation of the story, but was very long compared to the first 4 books.

Curse of Night is another amazing book by Emily. I can’t get enough of this series and don’t want it to end. An amazing twist in this story which I totally expected and am so excited! Recommend this series to everyone.
I still enjoy the story line but it’s getting mundane. Not many answers and way too many questions. The spelling and grammatical errors are literally killing me and making me not want to finish the series. Also a name change of a character from one book to another is sloppy. I have tons of annotations where she made mistake after mistake. After I finish this series, I’ll probably never read any of her other work.
I generally enjoy this series but it was so predictable and seemed to be a page out the Twilight series. Spoiler - becoming human due to a curse and the number sex sessions while supposedly injured and bleeding was a clear indication that a pregnancy was in the works. This has been done before.................
The story itself was great, as usual, but the mistakes were really distracting. Pubic for public, alter for altar, missing words etc. Whoever beta read it edited this book needs sacking. The previous book in the series was just as full of errors.
First, the Thorne Hill series MUST be read in order, before diving into Curse of Night!! So if you haven't read these books yet, I suggest you do so, like yesterday. Because I am absolutely in love with these books.
After the way Still of Night ended I needed more. And boy, did Emily deliver!
Callie, is a strong and powerful witch, who has always had someone- or something after her, and this is no exception. Defeat one baddie, and a crazed lunatic is next to come running. But it's nothing that she can't handle, especially with Lucas her vampire husband by her side. Callie is used to people coming after her, it's just another Tuesday. But if they threaten her friends and family- then they will have hell to pay. She will stop at nothing to take you down, and will do whatever it takes to save them- even seeking help from an untrustworthy source. Even if it means crossing over to the dark side. Because Hell as no fury like a witch seeking revenge.
"He's a vampire. I'm a witch. We shouldn't even be together, yet we are... We've overcome the odds. Proven the centuries-old grudge needs to be forgotten."
Seriously, if you haven't read the Thorne Hill books yet, what are you waiting for? It has badass witches, sexy as sin vampires, hot sex, and tons of action. And let's not forget the twist, turns, and surprises. This story reels you in from the beginning. Powerful witches, Strong vampires- mortal enemies with each other. And yet Callie and Lucas defying all odds and logic and falling for one another? What could go wrong? More than you think. If you love paranormal romance, and opposites attract, then you definitely need to get your hands on these books! (And Bonus!! First book is FREE right now: Amazon) And get lost in this urban fantasy of witches, vampires, and so much more!! 5 mind-blowing, heart-pounding ⭐'s out of 5⭐s.
Amazing. Callie and Lucas are an incredible duo with grit, determination and a whole lot of passion. This book picks up where Still of Night ended and Callie is facing the ultimate challenge, finding the source of an evil curse given to Lucas. She still is learning about the powers she has and how to trust that she can tap into that strength when she needs it. Add in a former classmate with an outrageous grudge, root monsters attacking and Lucifer lurking and you have a perfect mixture for a captivating, heart-pounding, gut-wrenching, unpredictable story. I love the twists and turns in this paranormal world which has me on the edge of my seat to know what will happen next. Truly a fabulous ride! I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
Little aside... My friend and I were talking about series last week. And he was telling me that, whenever he watches a series, so he doesn't like to waste his time. He likes to check whether the episode is going to be a plot episode or a filler episode. Plot episodes is the stuff you WANT to watch and filler episodes are just stuff they put out there to keep you watching...
Why I wrote all this is that, this book, honestly, this series is made up of filler stuff. THIS IS BOOK FIVE! I feel like, we are still dealing with issues that came up in book 1?!?
I am soooo disapointed cause I had such high hopes but NOTHING is changing. I get it, you don't want to be done with the series, but gawd, there should be limits 🙄
Callie and Lucas are ready to start there married life. But nothing is ever that easy for these two, when lucas is stabbed he doesnt heal, leaving callie frantic to save him from whatever caused this. This book is long, but every word is magic! Lucas is sexy as ever and Callie is still the amazing heroine we all love. Callie has to start dealing with the consequences of marrying a vampire, saying goodbye to her coven, but even then it's not the end of her troubles, when her enemies start to appear. Emily keeps the action going, leaving us all wanting more. And I cannot wait for the queen to take her place!
Curse of Night (A Vampire and Witch Paranormal Romance) The Thornhill
This book is sooooooo good I don’t want want to stop between books to even write a review. I am up to book 6 and can’t wait to begin reading it. If you want a book full, and I do mean full of action and intrigue, this is your book!! I swear, I don’t want to stop long enough to do the reviews on it but this whole series is well worth the wait. I know that other super natural book lovers will devour this series.
I absolutely LOVE this series...and I KNOW I cannot wait for more! Lucas and Callie are wonderfully written...as a reader you want to fight for them! I’m glad things are moving forward for the two of them (no spoilers!!!) Julian is a kick, the budding romance between Kristi and Evander has me rooting for a book about them! I so want to learn more about Callie’s mother and her relationship with Michael..can’t wait for the next one!!!
As per usual, this is another excellent addition to the series. Thorne Hill is definitely in the top ranking of paranormal romances for me. I love the solid relationship between the H and h. There so much going on that it is truly needed to not feel like there is too much going on. It never gets tiring. The side characters are superb. If you like paranormal romances, then this is a must. I'm sooooo excited for the next book since there is just so much more to explore.
This story had me riveted to the spot til the very end! It comes packing a big punch with non stop action, suspense, twist and turns you won't see coming, and Hot romance. That ending had my gasping out loud and dying for the next book!
The only comment I'd make about it is, I wish the heat factor could be knocked up a couple notches. Otherwise, this book went beyond perfection.
Curse of Night Book 5 Throne Hill series Emily Goodwin
Amazing! Love Lucas and Callie! Very enjoyable paranormal romance!
"The curse reaches up and grabs me, pulling me under dark, murky water. It burns my skin and crushes my bones . I cry out in pain but don’t take my hand off Lucas’s chest. I’m almost there… I can almost see it."
Can not wait for the next book. I recommend reading the series in order.
I love love love this book series. I've read them all and cannot wait for the next book in the series. Thank you Emily for your books and the work you put in them. I'm a fan of these books because I can't put them down even if I tried. It is that i have to go to work but if that wasn't the case i would have read this book in one day!!!
I love how badass this couple is!! And Lucus is super sexy!! I can’t wait for the next book!! Makes me thankful for my family drama after reading Callie’s, but I love the underlying theme of family by choice in her books!! Plenty of steam and violence to keep me from sleeping before work!
This series, best vampire/witch series I've read in way to long. I've actually read 1-3 twice now and I cannot believe I have to wait a month (my birthday June 25 ) for the next I'm dying here. Then after that I have to wait until November. This series is better than vampire diaries so it should be a tv show.
I had purchased this book and left it sitting in my Kindle forgetting about it. error!!! I opened it to read and was instantly absorbed back into the series and the characters lives. It’s a fun and easy read following the twists and turns. A bit predictable but it makes you want to read quickly to see how things develop.
I had to admit this took me some time to get into it not like the others ,it was interesting and still very slow burn but the last but I tell you the last 200 pages or so I was flying through it like sandpaper. The surprises and twist and turns you did not see coming mThat last ending was omg .jumping into the next book now.
The first half of the book was so good, I was debating if this was gonna be a 5star. Then we got hit with the pregnancy trope and there's 100's of pages of her being nausious, having to pee, being tired and overemotional. Not to mention the OMG IM SO GLAD UR IN MY LIFE, MY LIFE MEANS NOTHING WITHOUT YOU romance style.
What an amazing book! I was never interested in paranormal books, but i must say I have thoroughly enjoyed every book in this series. Can't wait for the next in the series.....that ending.....need to know what comes next for Callie and Lucas!
Emily Goodwin never disappoints. She infuses humor, good character development, and interwoven plots leaving the reader engaged throughout the entire book as she closes out one scene and sets the stage for the next one. Trust me you will enjoy this series.
