HOLIDAY HIDEAWAY by Stephie Walls is a “Feel Good” Christmas Romance Story. It leaves you feeling happy after you finish reading this book. If you want to read a good Novella Book that is fun to read. Than I highly recommend you read this book now!
Emma Grant has always loved Christmas. But this year was different. Last Christmas had been the last holiday she'd spent with her parents before they had died in a car accident. This year would be her first Christmas alone. Her boyfriend, Carns, had promised that he would make it special. When she caught him cheating just two days before Christmas, she was devastated and heartbroken.
One bright spot in her life was to have the best friend ever in Cole Chandler. He was the one man on the entire planet that never had let her down. He was always there for her. But he would never be her lover, because he was gay. So when after catching her boyfriend cheating and ruining her Christmas. It was Cole who told her to getaway. His cousin JD had a cabin in the mountains of Tennessee. It would be the perfect holiday hideaway. So with a Christmas tree tied to the top of her car, she starts out on the four hour drive. But the white snow she had prayed to have for Christmas, turned it into a six hour trip. Finally when the cabin comes into view, she finds herself on a slippery slope. Excellent Holiday Romance
This is a sweet little Christmas romance read. It is just a novella, but the author was able to make the characters believable and relatable. The chemistry between the hero and the heroine was off the charts. For the bulk of the story, there's no real major angst, so if you're in the mood for a low-stress, gentle holiday romance that delivers the feels, this book could be just the ticket. JD is the perfect book boyfriend. I loved how he just unassumingly took on the role of exactly the kind of man that the heroine needed for her holiday (and life). But it wasn't a put on; it was just him, his authentic self. Essentially, in this novella, these two strangers have to share a cabin during a blizzard. They make the most of it, first in a friendly way and then in a romantic way. The book is rare for a romance in that it is told solely from the perspective of the heroine. But the author did this well so that it felt as if we could understand JD as well. Just a delightful holiday romance, perfect for a cold and dark afternoon.

I couldn't resist a new short story from the prolific Mary Kay Andrews. Both of the protagonists in Holiday Hideaway are looking for a change. George comes to town at Christmas time to clear out his deceased granduncle's house and prepare it for sale, with the hope that he will miss the holiday party where his girlfriend is planning to announce their engagement. Tilly, the rental for this property, is broke after her ex-husband got everything in the divorce and has been hiding out there as she gathers enough money to move into a new place. Could it be that they have a connection from their high school days?
It's a fun, holiday-adjacent story that highlights the lives of the two strangers and propels them to a not unexpected ending. I enjoyed it, although lengthening it from a short story to a novella would have given the author--and the reader--more time to appreciate the characters and their stories.

Romantic holiday read
This was a very satisfying holiday romance. Told completely through the heroines eyes, we experience every womans fantasy romantic holiday getaway. Even though the story opens with heartbreak for Emma, things quickly turn in another direction completely.
When Emma turns to her best friend for a getaway from her cheating man, she runs right into the man of her dreams. Queue an unexpected snow storm, cozy cabin, Christmas, cocktails and your best friends hot cousin, you have a good little Christmas romance. JD and Emma were just what this holiday needed. Emma finally met the man she really needed in JD and JD was the perfect romancing man. Sometimes we all need a little snow and ice to keep us inside together!
Oh and let me just say that I absolutely loved JD's nickname for Emma....sparky! So cute and so fitting!

Truth is that I’m not very fond of insta-love, but this one is so well-written and the chemistry between Emma and JD is so great that I really forget about it. It is romantic and sweet. The main characters and even the second one are wonderful (Well Emma not so much, as she is always crying out) A great Christmas story.
I love it when I finish a book and it leaves a silly smile on my face.

Emma catches her worthless boyfriend cheating just days before Christmas, her favorite time of the year. This year things were going to be different and this was the last thing she needed. But as Cole said, he wasn't worth it. Cole arranges for Emma to spend Christmas at his family's cabin in Tennessee. Que a blizzard, lots of wine and Cole's very handsome cousin and anything can happen! I need to get trapped in a cabin like that! This was such a fun, feel good read. Just what this time of year calls for. I read it in one sitting, so grab a blanket, a yummy drink and prepare to be entertained!

I LOVED This Christmas Story!!! This was an awesome book that I really enjoyed. The story and characters grabbed me from the beginning and I couldn't stop reading. I loved the characters and watching them grow together, they were well written and went well together. I found this book amazing with great word building making me feel apart of the story and watching it unfold in front of me. A definite must read for any fan and I can't wait to read more from this author!!!

Holiday Hideaway was a beautifully written, short Christmas story. 5 romantic stars!
I'm not big on reading Christmas themed novels, not sure why considering it's my favorite holiday. But since Stephie is one of my top favorite authors I decided to give this a go. I'm so very glad I did. It was everything and more! Her writing is amazing and the storyline is every bit of sweet mixed with romance. It's the perfect book to read snuggled up in bed or by the fire oh and JD is everything a man should be!

JD and Emma’s connection was electric. Despite this being a quick read, the chemistry between them sizzled and I was easily lost in their whirlwind romance. And can we have a moment to appreciate the book boyfriend that is JD! From the way he just breezes into being everything Emma needs to his adorable nickname for her I was in a just a puddle of wool over him.

I enjoyed this charming Christmas novella. Holiday Hideaway was a delightful, low angst read told from the h's POV. I loved the romance between these two characters. They were perfectly suited to each other and I loved seeing their romance blossom. Although a short read, the author did a fantastic job with the characters, making it a story that will have you hooked from beginning to end. It was fast paced and entertaining and I enjoyed it. I would highly recommend this novella to all lovers of Christmas romances.

I Loved this! Not normally a short stories type of person but this was done beautifully! The connection between JD and Emma was perfect. It wasn't rushed and over the top. That is where I usually have a problem with short stories but this was great! The set up, the meeting of the two characters, the chemistry and the conclusion just......wonderful! Sweet and wholesome! This is a sweet holiday romance between JD and Emma. The author does a great job describing her characters and giving them a hot chemistry. Her scenes are painted vividly and she pulls you in with a few surprises along with humor and the steamy romance. She weaves a beautiful Christmas love story , moves it quickly and smoothly and delivers an entertaining story I enjoyed reading.

Holiday love at its best.
This story is so cute and different that I fell in love. Cole is a great secondary character and needs his own story. Emma is adorable in her love for the holiday. JD was everything the perfect man should be and the ending was priceless. Anyone who loves a great story with amazing characters and a perfect Christmas should read this book. I absolutely loved it.

Holiday Hideaway is the perfect sweet Christmas read. The connection between JD and Emma is instant as soon as they meet and what follows is just this sweet love story. This is a quick read but so full of the characters and story and relationship development that you don't feel as if you are missing something. Loved every minute of this story!

I really enjoyed reading about JD and Emma and how they get to there happy ending. Emma has a very bad day and heads to a remote cabin for the week were she meets JD. They get snowed in at the cabin and end up learning a lot about each other.

This novella is just the thing for the season. It is a quick-moving story that will warm your heart and make you smile. I enjoyed the friendship that Emma and Vole shared. The lighthearted, easygoing camaraderie that Emma and JD established was fun to witness. The epilogue was the perfect, leaving this reader filled with Christmas Cheer.

The cover of this little book by Stephie Walls is absolutely gorgeous and I was excited to read this little holiday story.
I loved the flow and found it incredibly easy to read. The characters were great and the budding chemistry between Emma and JD was fabulous.
