According to the Council, each mate will supposedly provide protection for either the body, mind, or soul, making us more powerful than ever before.

None of us are ready to settle down with one mate, let alone three.

But as the new High Alphas of the Earth, Air, Water, and Fire Shifters, my sisters and I have a duty to fulfill.

Mayhem reigns, deadly motives are at play, violence and death. Where the women are sexy, dangerous and part of the family to bring the clans together. A world where someone wants them dead and their mates are there to love protect ad fight by their sides. But they each face their own truth or lies, where you don’t know who you can trust.

All four sisters does there mother right in life who is the Matriarch of all shifters, keeping the balance and peace among the humans. As now her time is counting down she has her youngest daughter going to retrieve all her sisters. Once all are home in the castle and after a dinner is then the time to meet their mother and start the journey they were meant to be as: Althea the High Alpha of the Earth Shifters, Noble protector within the Shifter Guard and mother to all Earth creatures, Iris the High Alpha of the Air Shifters, Noble Flyer in the Shifter guard and Protector, Brighid the High Alpha of the Fire Shifters, Noble Dragon in the Shifter Guard and Protector. Indra High Alpha of the Water Shifters Noble Swimmer of the Royal Guard and protector of the Seas. After each scroll was read they started the journey to find their own three mates and become even more powerful than they already are. I cant wait for the next book in the series.

Book has a slow start but gets better later on in the book


This book is about 4 sisters who are the daughters of the high Queen of all shifters. they each will be high alphas of one of the four elements of fire, Air, water, and earth. They are crowned high Alphas at the end of the book and start thier journey on thier quest to find thier circle. I had a little trouble getting interested in the book and it holding my attention at the beginning of the book. I felt it took too long getting to the point or meat of the storyline. However once it finanaly did get there I had no trouble reading it. For those of you who like this type of book I feel it will be a good series. However for those readers like me my advice is bear with the slow start of the storyline. It will be interesting later on in the book.

Prequel to the Shifters of the Elements series.

This novella was a very quick read. The whole purpose was to setup the events in the series. The Queen of all shifters is going to begin her journey beyond the veil. It is the duty of her 4 daughters to be the High Alphas over their respective element; earth, air, fire, and water. The premise of the next 4 books is that each sister much use the clues left by their mother to find their “circle.” They each have 3 mates, who are strong in each of the elements, complimenting her own.

The first book in the series begins with Althea’s story. She’s a bear shifter and high alpha of the earth element. And yes, I will follow Althea on her journey.

This is the first book I've read by Lark but it certainly won't be the last! This book is amazing! I can't wait to read where the story takes Althea, Brighid, Iris and Indra. Four shifters who become High Alphas upon the passing of their mother. Each sent into the world with clues to find their three men that will complete them. It promises to be a very exciting journey. This book gives you just enough to get you hooked and wanting more.

An interesting prequel to a new shifter series. When the Matriarch of the shifters' reign is coming to an end, she calls back her four daughters to take over her role. These four women represent the elements, Earth, Air, Water and Fire. They are each given a quest to find their three mates and take over the duties that their mother has bestowed upon them. I am looking forward to reading the first novel in this new series.

Wow, got only about an hour this book is for you. We learn about the High Council and how the 4 alphas became Wind, Fire, Earth, and Water. They will rule over all, but first they must learn their way. Althea (earth), Brighid (fire), Iris (Wind), and Indra (water). Can't wait to read about their adventures.

This book gives us the setting the other books will take place in and whets the appetite for what is to come. I look forward to reading each of the books in the series and finding out what challenges each of the sisters will face alone and possibly together.

Fantastic story! Characters that will steal your heart. A storyline that keeps you on the edge of your seat and glued to your kindle! For me it was a love- hate deal as the characters face their demons. You will feel their emotions and struggles. A definite must read.

As a new reader of this author, the top thing I noticed in her writing was her wide range of adjectives used to describe a scene. It was fantastic and helped to create the scene in my mind. This reading was a prequel, and I'm sending the books of this series to my Kindle.

This prequel introduces the four new elemental Alphas and a bit of their backstories. While the story is interesting it has nothing about Alphas’ mates. This is a short, clean story.
