The Shadow Parade
The Shadow Parade is a unique children’s bedtime story which encourages the reader to embrace the power of imagination and the magic in everyday life. It tells the story of a child’s bedtime routine, which each night is delayed by a parade of animals making their way through the child’s room. The animals describe their days and interact with objects in the room as they head off to bed themselves. Once the last animal has disappeared, it is revealed that the child has been using a flashlight to make hand shadow animals dance across the ceiling and walls. The last spread of the book provides illustrations of how to make each of the shadow animals featured.
