Never Forget Him

Rate this book
Jayden Baxter is so not my type: a soldier on leave with no plans of sticking around.

But life has pulled me down and when he looks at me across the bar, my spirits lift for the first time months.

His smoldering grey eyes help. So does the way his hand rests in the small of my back.
When Bax makes me an offer, I say yes.

Crazy? Maybe. But two weeks on the road with no-strings is the breath of fresh air I crave.

It was supposed to be a chance to let loose… but a few days in my heart is tied up in knots.
I don’t want this trip to end.
He won’t make any promises — his past makes him want to run.

But one thing’s for sure… I’ll never forget him.

Never Forget Him is the first installment of Tracy Lorraine’s steamy military romance series, Never Forget.

When Erin meets Jay and spends two weeks with him on a whirlwind trip, she knows she's met her one. But, at the end of their arranged two weeks, he leaves her with the promise of coming back from Afghanistan and meeting up with her. He leaves her an incredible kiss and a note "13/10/2012. I promise x."

But 6 months later when Erin arrives for their reunion and waits for hours but Jay doesn't show up, she's heartbroken. The man she had fallen in love with in two short weeks hadn't come back for her. What were she and their new surprise going to do? Well, as happens in Never Forget Us, she moves on with her life.

I mostly liked Never Forget Him, but it was too short and under developed for my tastes. I wish that Never Forget Him and Never Forget Us had just been combined into one book, because dividing it up into 2 small installments made me feel cheated and I didn't get to know either character very well in this first installment.

Erin is twenty years old and it's her birthday. Her friend talks her into going out to celebrate. While at a bar with her friends some soldiers on leave come in and Erin's friend wants to live out her fantasy of entertaining a soldier and then sending him on his way very satisfied. Erin feels eyes on her and she turns to see a very handsome man staring at her. Erin and her friends hang out with Jay and his friends. Jay and Erin end up being the only ones left at the bar so they go back to his hotel room where she ends up staying the night and they decide to take a two week road trip together. Erin is a virgin and when she informs Jay of this he tells her that they will move at her pace and that their road trip is not based on s*x for him, although he wouldn't be opposed to it. Grab this book today and go on this journey of discovery with them and find out what happens when Jay's two week leave is up. This book is heart wrenching and does continue in book two entitled Never Forget Us. Definitely a must read.

"When my eyes connect with his again it’s like everything around me fades away and it’s just me and him."

“Where are we going?”

“Everywhere. Nowhere,”

Erin takes a huge risk in her life when she goes on a two-week road trip with a perfect stranger. No expectations, just a way for her and Jay to get away from their problems.

Two things for Erin to remember. One, whatever happens between her and Jay will only last two weeks. Two Erin promised herself she would never fall for a man in the military like her mom did.

You can imagine things get pretty Steamy for them during the two weeks.

Five years later and Erin is still thinking about the man that changed her life in only two weeks. But of course fate steps in when she is trying to move on with her life.

Everywhere & Nowhere

Here's the thing, I was a little worried this book wouldn't end in a HEA and I would be broken over it, but I should never doubt Tracy and I will never do that again. The final story I the Forget Me Not was everything I needed and more.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is a story about Erin and Jay. erin was a young college student who loved to make jewelry, but she was studying business in college because she wanted to help her mother save her gift store. On Erin's birthday, her friend Franky took her to a club to celebrate after some friends told her soldiers would be there. Franky wanted to hook up with a soldier, but Erin didn't want to because her father was a soldier before he was killed in action. When they got to the bar, Jay saw Erin and he couldn't take his eyes off her. At the end of the night, Erin and Jay went for a walk and they made plans to leave on a road trip the next day. When they left, Jay told Erin it would only be for two weeks and no strings, and she agreed. They set out and had a great adventure, and their feelings for each other grew. i loved this story and thought Erin and Jay had great chemistry and i love how Jay let Erin go at her own pace and didn't pressure into more than she was ready for. I love how they were friends and how much fun they had while growing closer. Great story.

A night out to celebrate her birthday has Erin consenting to go away for 2 weeks with Jay. Considering she literally just met him was not the norm for her. I wasn't sure what her expectations for this trip was, she pretty much kept it platonic. Except for the few times Jay made her feel good but didn't want nothing in return. When their trip is almost at an end they have one special night and then Jay has to get back to assignment. He leaves her with a note with the day she is supposed to met back up with her 6 months later.
When she gets there she waits and waits and he never shows. She doesn't know what happened to him for him not to be there considering he told her he loved her. Unknowingly for him he left with a part of himself with her.
I'm not sure how I am feeling. I don't get any insight as to who Jay really is. What he is going through. What kept him from showing up? It will be interesting to see where this is going.

I realize this is the start of a series and I am just going to review this first book even though I do intend to read both books. This book is a bit of a slow burn to me and I am not a big fan of that. I like my action in the first half of the book and not the second. The author is probably from the UK and I am from America so there are several places where the translation just didn't make it. There are so many words used differently between the two countries that supposedly speak English. While this did not hamper my enjoyment of the book it was sort of like a drunk orgy... you enjoyed it but you aren't really clear on all the details. You could possibly read this as a stand alone but why would you when book 2 is out already. I personally can not wait to read it!

Tracy Lorraine has done it again with this Never Forget series. She has given us a heart-wrenching read that will have you captivated from beginning to end and will leave you desperate for the next book in the series to see what is happens next.

Erin is being taken out with her friends to celebrate her birthday and whilst at a bar some soldiers come in on leave. Soon as their eyes lock Jay and Erin are hooked on each other and the two groups end up mixing together. At the end of the night they end up at Jay's room where they spend the night together and then decide to take a two week road trip together.

There is something about Tracey's writing that I absolutely love and become addicted too. The way she writes her characters makes you feel like they are your friends and your in the middle of it all. She has delivered their story well and she has made me cry AGAIN!!!!!!

Im diving straight into Never Forget US

WOW!!! What can I say about this wonderful book. I absolutely loved every word of it. I would have given this book 5+ stars if I could. This story was so well written that I felt I was right there with this young couple as they met and fell in love with each other. It’s a beautiful story about Jay and Erin. They’re young and in love. Jay is a soldier on leave from the army and a deployment to Afghanistan and his mother has been in bad shape since his father left their marriage. Erin designs and makes jewellery, her mothers business is in trouble and her father died in the military. They both had demons that they were able to overcome and declare their love. They promised to meet again in 6 moths. I can’t wait to read the next book to find out what happens next.

Jay Baxter 'Bax' is on leave with his mates & go to a club and meet Erin who's celebrate her birthdate with her bf Frankie. The boys are on leave for 2 weeks, so Jay ask Erin to go on a trip, getting away of Bristol & all their problems. As the days go by, Erin falls more & more for him. The feeling are like they have known each other they entire life, easy & relax feels so natural. They go from town to town sleeping is B&B's and site seeing. After a few days he comes to B&B only at breakfats having a night out after pouncing at Erin. He actually in a bad mood, not speaking about. When they only have 2 days, Jayden give her some surprises out of his sleves, to show her how much she means to him. Then it's time to part ways.

Erin is out celebrating wit. He's a soldier on leave and ready to have fun with a beautiful young woman and he decides that Erin is going to be that woman. The chemistry between them is palpable and fans/ac might be needed for some readers to use as there are some hot and steamy scenes. But leave is only that. And Jay must return for duty. Little realising what he is leaving! So wonderfully written by Tracey Lorraine. Erin was so easy to love and Jay seemed to be just the same. But he's gone now. Will she see him again? This is one reader who is looking forward to the next in the series. received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Definitely recommended I enjoyed it so much that I bought my own copy to re-read in the future and to support the author.

I am addicted to Bax! To say I loved this book would be an understatement. Tracy has this way with her writing, its like you are right there with the characters. The emotions in this b0ok was real! I felt I could I call These two up and have a convo with them. When it was over I had one of the worse book hangovers I have every had. I loved Bax and Erin's story right away. Tracy's work pulls you in and never lets you go, she makes her work not only sexy but fun. I loved the adventure these went on together. I ugly cried at one, so be prepared. (Tracy loves our tears ) Bax is my #1 book boyfriend right now. I am having one of those I licked him so he's mine moments. This is a must read, go get your copy today, it is inside the hero anthology....

Heads up - this is part one of what appears to be a 3 book series. Parts 1 and 2 are out, now, and part 3 is coming out in late July. Yes, part 1 ends with questions, but please don't let that stop you from giving this story a go. I think it is one of the loveliest stories I've read in a while. I fell for these characters right off and loved the journey we all went on during book 1 (he calls her Skittles, and I just melt! LOL). This author has such an engaging writing style, I find myself reading well past my self-imposed stopping point and sacrificing sleep because I just don't want to leave the story. This book was no exception and I cannot wait 'til this evening when I can devour book 2. :D

This story is told entirely in the heroine’s (Erin’s) point of view. We never get inside Jay’s head, which made the story feel one-sided. To make matters worse, Jay doesn’t share his thoughts or emotions with Erin. These two facts, added to the short 2-week time period, made me question Jay’s profession of love at the end. I couldn’t quite figure out why Erin fell for him, he doesn’t really give her much (emotionally). I didn’t really care for Erin; she was too passive and did whatever Jay wanted to do, didn’t seem to have any strong opinions of her own. The storyline was OK, and they didn’t immediately have sex (it built up to that, which I liked); I just couldn’t connect with either character.

This book was a real page-turner from the start. I was hooked from page one. I just loved how Erin and her friends went to a bar for some drinks for Erin's birthday. While they were there they saw some soldiers come in and her friend wanted to live out a fantasy she had that had to do with sending a soldier off after his leave with a smile on his face. In the end, Erin and Jay are the last two left in the bar. They decide to go on a two-week trip together......

If you want to know how it goes read the book.... I could not wait to read the next book in this series to see how things turned out...

Fantastic read yet again from Tracy Lorraine. I originally read this book as part of a help our hero's military anthology.

Erin and Jay are perfect together, their friendship grows as they travel, they seem to understand each other in a deeper level and we see that with how little they know about each other yet feel so safe and comfortable with each other. Their slow burn romance is so perfectly written that is so heart breaking that their beginning is also their end. This is part one of three, and whilst this book could be read as a stand alone, I really found myself quickly looking for the next book as they are too perfect together to not have a happy ending.

CLIFFHANGER! Okay, now that I got that out of the way, I want it to be known that if this hadn't been a cliffhanger and the editing were cleaner, I would have given it 5 stars. Too many typos, extra words, missing words, and miss-spelled words. SOLDIER not SOLIDOR. The first couple of times I thought it was cute, then it just became annoying. The story was great, the character development superb, and the chemistry flew off the pages. Kudos to Lorraine for a fine story. Shame on the editing department for way too many missed errors. Now make the next 2 parts free and I'll give you that coveted 5 stars!

Tracy Lorraine did it again, this is the second anthology I have bought that contained the first part of a story by this author. Both times I have ended up so hooked I needed to stop the anthology to go one-click the rest of this story and finish that before going back to said anthology. Both times it has been worth it. This story held me captive throughout, my heart ached for these characters, all of them. It is well written and compulsive reading, I am now left chomping at the bit for the last part to get my ending. Fabulous book.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

This is the first part of a duo story, it's a well-written quick read, military man Jay Bax is on leave and meets young innocent Erin on her 20th birthday. There is loads of chemistry between them and they go on a road trip to get away and learn about each other more. We follow on their short journey and watch how their feelings develop. Unfortunately he has to leave and go back, but their one night of love leaves Erin with a wonderful memory. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Never Forget Him ..young love and promises.
Erin is out with her friends celebrating her 2oth birthday. She is enthralled by a group of soldiers that are also there. Jay and Erin have an immediate connection they spend the night together and decide to take a road trip. Two weeks and so many promises . He is then deployed and tells her he will be back. He doesn't return to her and we are left wondering what could have happened ! The characters have great chemistry and such a wonderful story!

I received a complimentary copy of this book with no expectation for leaving a review. This review is being left voluntarily and any and all opinions are my honest thoughts on this book and/or the authors work. This is an intriguing start to Erin and Jax's love story. It does end on a cliffhanger, yet it is worth a read. This book has lots of feels in it. My only complaint is that this novella and book two really could've been combined into one longer book.

This story was such a turn on to read. I really enjoyed the way the it started with a no strings going on a trip to forget about what was going on. The build up of friendship while learning what turns the other person on without the expectation of sex. My heart clenched while reading this story because it felt so real.

I absolutely loved this story. It started out as a fun, no strings attached road trip for Jay and Erin. Over the two weeks they could not resist and fell in love with each other. Unfortunately Jay has to report back to duty. The story is very well written and is very difficult to put down once you start reading. I highly recommend this book! I can not wait to finish their love story in the second book.

This is book one of two so be aware that the story will continue in the next book. I found this to be a very poignant read. A bit of a slow start but I enjoyed the chemistry between the leads. With some pretty powerful emotions and drama, this is a good read and I look forward to the next book. This is my honest, voluntary review.
