Finding A New Normal: Permission To Be Real In Your Grief

Rate this book
Grieving isn't easy. In fact, it's one of the hardest things we will ever do. Finding A New Normal was written in the midst of my own grief, following the loss of our home in the Northern California Carr Fire. I want this book to be a memorial stone, a place of refuge, and a roadmap for people like you who find themselves in a season of loss. This is an invitation and a guide to help you be real in your grief, honest about your needs, and equipped to process the trauma of your loss.

I think this is a gem of a book that not many people have found yet. When our house burned down in a fire (nearly two years ago) I was sent this book by a family friend. I read it slowly. The chapters were short so they were easy to digest in small doses. The content was rich but didn’t feel overwhelming. And after finishing it, it was like a balm to my soul. This book is especially pertinent to anyone who has lost a home to a fire, but it can also reach those who are going through any form of grief. I really liked this book and recommend it often to others. It really is a sweet little book that also makes for a great gift too.

Very simple verbage that is easy to digest while being profound! “Just like Jesus!

This is a book for anyone. To be alive is to experience loss. Wether it’s a fire that destroys everything you posess or a friend that keeps ditching you, or a box you misplaced. Its loss. . And every situation inbetwen. And it must be acknowledged and processed. Some experiences take days, others just minutes, but equally important.✨Take the time to enjoy this book , the author is “real” and practical .
