It has been ten years since a fifteen-year-old Avery West escaped the torturous nightmare she endured at the hands of her captor. But there was no escaping the memory of the night she gained her freedom. A night that often blurred the lines making it hard to know what was real. Especially when the man in her dreams is the only one who makes her feel safe. A man who's face she has never seen. That is until the night fate steps in. While at a nightclub in Vegas with her best friend, Avery encounters Lucian Thorne, a man who seems familiar to her. A man she wanted the moment she looked into his eyes. But can she ignore that small voice that is telling her to run far away from him.
A fantastic story with characters that are so fleshed out they seem real.
In this book, the author uses an engaging style and portrays a sense of empowerment throughout. You were intrigued by the tragedy of the heroine's story from the very beginning.
A rollercoaster ride was created by the book, the plot, and the main character. It was incredibly intimate and I couldn't put it down. In my opinion, the smut completely immersed me in the story from the first page to the last.
My expectations for this book were wildly exceeded. I was left with a terrible book hangover after reading this book. It felt like it shattered my brain with everything that occurred, and I mean that in the highest possible sense.
You should definitely read all the books in order, but I would recommend picking up this series based on the first book alone.
Action and adventure, betrayal and romance abound in this series, since it offers something for everyone.
I highly recommend you read this book if you haven't already.
I give this book 5 stars. All I can say is WOW !! Since I opened the book I haven't been able to put it down . I was hanging on word for word page after page. The thrill, the sex, the passion just leaves you wanting more. I can't wait for the next in this trilogy. Worth the wait for sure.
Once again I am nothing but pleased. The Bonded series are nothing but page turners. This book had me on edge from the time I opened it and the tease at the end leaves you thirsty for more. Cant wait for book # 4 and more from Reese Spencer!!!
