In this heartwarming series from Amy Lillard, three generations of women find the Oklahoma Amish community of Wells Landing a heaven-sent opportunity to take new leaps of faith . . .
Wife, widow, mother, and grandmother--sixty-something Nadine Burkhart is everything a sensible Amish woman is supposed to be. She's moved to Wells Landing to give her daughter-in-law and granddaughter a fresh start--not herself. So as far as she's concerned, good-hearted farmer Amos Fisher should find something better to do than try to draw her out, be there when she needs help--and make her believe in love for the first time . . .
A friendly but solitary man, Amos is realizing there's more to life than work. Although he hasn't courted in years, Nadine's honesty makes him long to know her better--and understand her standoffishness. But when everything he tries fails to soften her stubbornness, he'll just have to trust his heart that real, true, and utterly impractical love will prevail--for a lifetime . . .
Praise for Amy Lillard and her Wells Landing novels "An inspirational story of romance, faith, and trust . . . will appeal to fans of Wanda Brunstetter and Beverly Lewis." --Library Journal "Fans of inspirational romance will appreciate Lillard's vivid characters and positive message." --Publishers Weekly
I'm a wife, mother, and bona fide Southern belle. Published author, expert corn bread maker, and Squirrel Princess.
I live in Tulsa, though I was born in Mississippi. I moved to the Sooner State when I was seventeen and met my soul mate and best friend not long after. I've retained a little of my Mississippi accent though most people think I'm from Texas. (?) Rob and I have been married for over twenty years and have a son--a mom proclaimed prodigy, of course!
I love homemade tacos, nail polish, and romance novels--not necessarily in that order. I'm a big fan of country music, a staunch proponent of saving the Oxford comma, and I'm shamefully obsessed with all things Harry Potter.
I believe that God is love. I guess that's why I adore romances.
I have always been intrigued with the Amish culture, their gentle ways and slower-paced lifestyle. (And I love, love, love the fact that they stay married for their lifetime.) But until recently I never thought to blend this interest with my penchant for romance. Okay, okay, I'm a bit old-fashioned and even enjoy the gender roles that are present in this culture. I love to cook and take care of my family. Yes, that's me June Cleaver with a laptop.
I dislike people trying to convince me to read the Twlight series (I'll get to it or I won't, either way I'm good with it), gratuitous violence, and strawberry ice cream. (I know I'm alone on this last one, and again, I'm good with it.)
Favorite movies--(besides HP) French Kiss, Maid of Honor, A Lot Like Love, Just Married, and Sweet Home Alabama. Oh, and Miss Congeniality, Sabrina (both versions) and a 1940's movie called Dear Ruth. If you haven't seen it, you should! A-dorable. Anything with Doris Day and most all of Marilyn's and Audrey's.
This heartwarming and funny Amish love story shows readers that it's never too late to find love. Set in the Amish community of Wells Landing, Oklahoma, the story follows Amos Fisher, a sixty-two-year-old bachelor who has never married. When he sees Nadine Burkhart for the first time, he instantly falls in love with her and feels that God wants them to be together. Nadine, a twice-widowed sixty-five-year-old mother and grandmother, thinks Amos is out of his mind, and that she's too old for romance. Will Amos succeed in winning her heart?
This was a well-written and engaging read, with a vivid setting, well-developed characters, and realistic family relationships. I loved the premise of the story and thought it was refreshing that the story focused on an older couple. The chemistry between Amos and Nadine was wonderful, and some of their interactions had me laughing out loud. I enjoyed watching their romance progress. The conclusion will warm your heart and leave you with a smile on your face. If you're a fan of this genre, then I highly recommend this wonderful story of love, faith, new beginnings, and not being afraid to get out of your comfort zone and enjoy all that life has to offer.
Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Romancing Nadine is a sweet, funny story about love in the Amish community of Wells Landing, Oklahoma, where Amy Lillard shows that you are never too old to fall in love. Amos Fisher, a sixty two year old bachelor who has never married, falls in love with sixty five year old Nadine Burkhart when he sees her at church. He feels that God wants them to be together. Nadine is a mother and grandmother and has buried two husbands and a son. She thinks that Amos is out of his mind-she is too old to date and besides one time of being in love is all that she will ever have. No one can take place of her first love. What ensues is a delightful time of Amos doing whatever he can to woe Nadine but she is just as determined that he won't win her over. Their chemistry is delightful as they bicker over everything. There is a great cast of characters in the story. Nadine's daughter in law Charlotte lives with her while Charlotte's daughter is living with a family and is helping out with the family's twin daughters. Charlotte is having her own issues with her daughter leaving the nest. The senior church members meet each Monday and are a hoot. This is a lovely and heartwarming story. I received a complimentary ARC from Zebra and Kensington Books through NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are mine only.
Romancing Nadine by Amy Lillard lets us see that it is never too late to find love. Nadine Burkhart has been married twice and has no intention of marrying again. Amos Fisher has just returned to Wells Landing, Oklahoma. He sets eyes on Nadine, and it is love at first sight. He feels that God has led him to Nadine. Unfortunately, Nadine is less than receptive to Amos’ overtures. Amos needs to find a way to get past Nadine’s defenses and let her see the joy of being in love. Romancing Nadine is the 10th novel in the Wells Landing series. It can be read as a standalone, but I find it beneficial to have read all the books in the series. I enjoyed reading this sweet, amusing Amish tale. I like returning to Wells Landing to catch up the characters I have come to know and love. Jenna and Buddy are doing well, but Charlotte and Nadine are still worried about her. Nadine is unhappy about turning 65. She does not want a party, gifts, or any sort of acknowledgement. Of course, Nadine should know that her family would not allow the day to go buy without a gathering. We see that Amos’ attentions make Nadine grumpy and prickly. There is a reason for her attitude, but it will take time for Amos to get the information out of Nadine. I thought Romancing Nadine was well-written with steady pacing. The characters are realistic and developed. I liked that the main characters were older (in their 60s). There was good chemistry between Nadine and Amos. I admit to laughing at some of their exchanges. I enjoyed watching their romance progress and the elephant was a great touch. I thought it was fascinating that the older Amish have their own outings and meetings (like the young have youth gatherings). Romancing Nadine is a refreshing and heartwarming Amish story with new beginnings, love, trust, letting go, and faith.
Another Wells Landing book? Yes please, I'll take it. Romancing Nadine is the ninth book in the series and I really hope it continues. I love the consistency of reading the Wells Landing books and being familiar with the characters and it's so much fun to get acquainted with the new characters as well. Should a sixty something Amish widow, mother and grandmother be a sensible woman and leave love to the younger generation? Farmer Amos Fisher definitely doesn't think so as he makes himself available to help her out . Realizing there is more to life than just working the farm he "conveniently" seems to just time it right and show up wherever Nadine may be. He longs to break through her shell and draw her out, getting to know her better. She thinks it's quite the ridiculous notion at her age to have a romantic relationship but can Amos convince her otherwise?
Fun and entertaining I loved the interactions between the characters. Worth a second read!
Published July 28th 2020 by Zebra I was given a complimentary copy, Thank you. All opinions expressed are my own.
Romancing Nadine is another fun adventure in Wells Landing, OK Amish community. Nadine is not your young Amish woman seeking love in the story but in her 60’s with a different perspective on love. She loves her family and Amish heritage but she’s suffered loss and doesn’t want to do it again. Amos is a confirmed bachelor but believed God placed Nadine in his path when he returned to Wells Landing. The banter between Amos and Nadine brought true moments of amusement with them being determined in what they wanted in life.
This is a well written and engaging read thundering with emotion, descriptive scenes to visualize all that was happening. The story is filled with adventure, new beginnings, happiness, hope and faith. It was wonderful to catch up with all the wonderful characters who are friends and like family members from the Wells Landing series by Lillard. I look forward to the final installment.
Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Publishing Corporation for the ARC copy to read. I was not required to write a positive review but have shared my own opinion.
She's stubborn. He's in love. Can it all work out?
I have to admit that I'm quite surprised. Not by the fact that I like the story. Not by Amy Lillard's wonderful writing. Nope. Not at all. Romancing Nadine is the second story about the Burkhart women and features a grandmother in her mid-sixties. No, what surprised me was that despite the fact that she's literally twice my age I connected with Nadine even more than I did her granddaughter, who is much closer to my age, in the previous book. And as a never-married myself I also had some real sympathy with Amos.
Over the years I've read quite a few of Amy Lillard's Amish romances, this is the 10th Wells Landing book for one thing, so I've come to expect a lot from her. And she has never disappointed me. Romancing Nadine certainly didn't. She has a real knack for taking issues that we all face, Amish and Englisher alike, and weaving them into a sweet and entertaining story.
I enjoyed Romancing Nadine, as I've enjoyed all of the Wells Landing Romances, and was actually a little surprised at how quickly I finished despite using an e-reader instead of my preferred paperbacks. Ah, well, Amy Lillard's books are great no matter the format. Anyway, don't miss this fun and poignant read!
(I received a copy of this book from the author. All opinions are entirely my own.)
I enjoy taking trips to Wells Landing, a small community of both Amish and English. This trip I got to visit with Amos and Nadine. They were such a sweet pair. Senior citizens no less. Nadine had just had a birthday and turned 65. I could certainly relate because I’m 66. She got up every morning with her aches and pains and her woe is me as she looked in the mirror and noticed all her facial wrinkles. Being a widow, twice, she had no interest in men or romance. Now I found it interesting that Amos was 61 and never had been married. He even had a long gray bread, which I thought only married men in the Amish grew. Amos was so much fun and seemingly pretty laid back. When he saw Nadine for the first time after a church service he fell instantly in love. He eventually told Nadine that God had whispered to him that she was the one for him. No matter what he said or tried to do she would have no part of anything to do with romance. They were such a fun couple to learn about. I loved their adventures. As a matter of fact I enjoyed visiting with all the characters and even throwing a ball with a puppy and a rescue dog. It was refreshing to read a book about senior adults “dating” and getting to know one another. Older adults often find love too, it’s not just for young people, even though Nadine would disagree. We never know what God has planned for us, we just have to have open minds as we live and learn. I received a complimentary ebook from the author but was not required to write a review.
Sixty-five year old Nadine Burkhart was at Amish crossroads. Looking at her life on her 65th birthday, she has endured the death of an husband, a son, a granddaughter's accident that left her mentally disabled. Nadine was contemplating what she had to offer in life. Celebrating her birthday with friends and family, she noticed a stranger staring at her. The stranger was Amos Fischer coming back to the community. He had never found the right woman to spend the rest of his life with but seeing Nadine, he knew she was who God intended for him.
Their relationship is endearing has he is a man that is determined to win the heart of Nadine. He seeks the counsel of his English friends and using the English ways to woo Nadine, she becomes more perplexed and curious on who is this man. She just cannot get past that she may find love again. With the help of her granddaughter that has found love, she too begins to soften towards Amos. Proofing that God is never finished with us.
A special thank you to Kensington Books and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.
I absolutely loved "Romancing Nadine"!! I am do thrilled to have read a book about 2 mature Amish people...one looking for romance...the other not as much. Amos Fisher has recently returned to Wells Landing, having been living near family for a couple years. His first Sunday attending Church Service he notices Nadine Burkhart. After being a bachelor all of his life, he just feels that Nadine is the one. Nadine, having been a widow twice, isn't looking for another man. She will see that Amos is looking for more than friendship. Amos and Nadine agree to be "just friends". How does this workout? You are going to love these two 60+ people! Many twists and turns plus a small health scare... Do not miss out reading this book!! ****Just a side note... I have read many books written by Amy Lillard. And, I just want to say that, with each story, she never ceases to amaze me!! Thank you, Amy Lillard! I think that this is my favorite Wells Landing series book! I can't wait to see what's next! "I was given copy of this book by the author. I was not required to give a positive review. All opinions are my own."
This series just gets better and better. Wells Landing really is my happy place. I really liked the fact that this romance was between seniors. Amos sees Nadine and is smitten by the love bug for the first time. Nadine has already been a widow and thinks Amos is off his rocker.
What ensues is a sweet, funny, and entertaining love chase. With lifelike characters and realistic situations the story will draw you in and keep you wondering if poor Amos will ever win Nadine's heart.
So take a trip back to Wells Landing and pick up Romancing Nadine. Happy Reading!

Romancing Nadine is the latest story by Amy Lillard. Amy takes the reader back to Wells Landing and allows the reader to follow the romance of widower Nadine and bachelor Amos. Nadine is cautious because her life journey has already made her a widow. Amos a confirmed bachelor is struck by the love bug. This is a delightful escape to Wells Landing with characters you become friends with. Thanks to Amy Lillard for allowing me to read this book in advance of its release. This is an honest heartfelt review of a wonderful story.
It was so nice to have a romance between two older people. This proves that even at an older age people can find love. I love how Nadine is reluctant at first but then Amos comes in to her life and shows her that you can find love at any age. I love the characters and did not want to put this book down. I hope there are many more books in this series. I received a copy of this book from the author for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will.
Nadine was just too unbelievable for me; in fact, this whole community was just too different. Riding around on tractors? I missed the clip clop of the horse's hooves in a good ole fashioned Old Order Amish community!
Romancing Nadine is a sweet addition to the Wells Landing series. It can be enjoyed as a stand alone novel or as a continuing part of the series.
I liked seeing this relationship between Nadine and Amos slowly blossom. Even as Nadine worked hard to keep her heart distanced from Amos, he was determined to win it. Nadine had one excuse after another for why they shouldn’t fall in love at their ages. I loved Amos’ perseverance, and really felt for him whenever he began to wonder if Nadine would ever allow love to grow between them. These two characters were really likable and this was a fun love story to read.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
I loved this book, at times it had me laughing out loud, and I enjoyed the concept of an older couple. Now I'm familiar with most of the characters in this story, I have read all of the previous books! That being said this can be read along, there are several updates throughout! Amos and Nadine, a sweet older couple, but not according to Nadine, she just wants friendship. Amos is a sixty plus old confirmed bachelor, and feels that God calling him to marry Nadine. Somehow Nadine didn't get the message, or is refusing to listen. This is a really fun read, and I hated for the book to end, and hopefully we will be back soon in Wells Landing and with this group of characters!
I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Kensington, and was not required to give a positive review.
Nadine Burkhart is a loving widow, twice actually, and now grandmother. She had love and she has her loving family to fill her days. However, her continual run ins with Amos Fisher slowly changes her life. Both Nadine and Amos are in their sixties, and Amos has never married. However, there is something special between them and Amos learns what it takes to begin courting Nadine.
As far as Amos is concerned, it is love at first sight. Not so much for Nadine, but there is something special about Amos that she cannot deny. Nadine just might be one of my favorite woman in these touching Amish fiction stories. As a woman nearing sixty myself, I definitely believe in love. Amos was a peach. He likely had a chance in his younger years to find love, but it simply did not happen. I loved his doggedness when it came to learning how to romance Nadine and what brought them together.
This lovely story had a wonderful conclusion. Although this is the tenth book in the Wells Landing series, I had no trouble at all connecting to the couple, as well as to the many friends that came in and out of the story.
Many thanks to Zebra Books and to NetGalley for this ARC for review. This is my honest opinion.
ROMANCING NADINE by Amy Lillard A Wells Landing Romance Book 10 In this heartwarming series from Amy Lillard, three generations of women find the Oklahoma Amish community of Wells Landing a heaven-sent opportunity to take new leaps of faith . . . But when everything he tries fails to soften her stubbornness, he’ll just have to trust his heart that real, true, and utterly impractical love will prevail—for a lifetime… This is Nadine Burkhart and Amos Fisher’s story. Nadine Burkhart ran her palms down the front of her church apron and took one last look at herself in the mirror. When had she gotten so old? She smoothed a hand over one of her cheeks. Wrinkles, creases, and lines. Most she didn’t recognize, hadn’t noticed before. She sighed. Not that any of it mattered. It was just surprising, was all. She was sixty-four years old, but she felt like she was eighty. “That’s Amos Fisher,” Buddy replied. “He used to live here, then he went to Missouri for a while. Dat said he was moving back.” So she would be seeing more of him. He was still standing off to one side, watching her with those incredible blue eyes. I highly recommend reading. This heartwarming story shows readers that it's never too late to find love. Set in the Amish community of Wells Landing, Oklahoma, the story follows Amos Fisher, a sixty-two-year-old bachelor who has never married and Nadine Burkhart, a mother, grandmother and widow, who is very happy with her life. When Amos sees Nadine for the first time, he instantly falls for her and feels that God wants them to be together. Nadine, a twice-widowed sixty-five-year-old thinks Amos is out of his mind, and that she's too old for romance. Will Amos succeed in winning her heart?
I really enjoyed this story. First being a widow in my sixties, I enjoyed reading about someone my age falling love again. I have really been enjoying stories with older characters that are not just the sidekick or parent. The chemistry between Amos and Nadine was wonderful, and some of their interactions had me laughing out loud. Their bickering and banter were entertaining. I enjoyed watching their romance progress, even though Nadine tried to resist. This was a well-written and engaging story, with well-developed characters, and realistic family relationships. Nadine's daughter-in-law Charlotte lives with her while Charlotte's daughter is living with another family, helping out with the family's twin daughters. Charlotte is having her own issues with her daughter leaving the nest, especially with the prospect of her future marriage. The senior church members that meet each Monday are a hoot. They are all for the Amos and Nadine relationship and I laughed out loud at many of their antics and discussions. I have read several stories in the Wells Landing series, but you can read them all as standalone stories. There are recurring characters, so it is great to meet up with them again. If you enjoy Amish Fiction and/or Christian romance, pick this one up for an enjoyable read. Rebecca Mitchell narrated this story and did a nice job with it. She has an easy voice to listen to and uses her expression, inflection and tone to bring the listener into the story. Her voices for the characters were not all that much differentiated, but I was able to determine who was speaking in most situations due to intonation. I will continue to listen to books that she narrates. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of this book upon request. The rating and opinions shared are my own.
I absolutely adored this story because it is written by one of my favorite authors. She never disappoints me with her gift for satisfying my need for stories that have faith, unconditional love and inspiring characters. I cheered when I realized this would be about an older woman. Yes I can relate to the character’s age and I felt a calmness come over me as I became acquainted with Nadine.
Nadine has had her share of heartaches in the love department. Can she find a way to allow God to show her that there was someone out there for her? I could tell right away Nadine was going to be hard to crack in the love department. Poor Amos. He has his hands full trying to win Nadine’s heart. As you get older you get set in your ways and Nadine was definitely a stickler for having things her way.
Amos is so kind and patient. Love can do that to a person. You don’t see any faults only the love that you have for that special someone. I wanted to go to Nadine at times and tell her that she was being stubborn and needed to loosen up a bit. The author gives us a few laughs in the story as Nadine and Amos get to know each other. I thought of the awkward moments I had getting to know my husband. The story is a wonderful look at romance through the eyes of the older generation. It is filled with laughs, love and a wonderful ending.
I received a digital copy through the author and Netgalley. The review is my own opinion.
Reading any book by Amy Lillard is a delight, but this one has extra sparkle and charm. I’ve especially enjoyed her “Wells Landing” series, and it was fun returning there again in this book.
This story is a little different than most Amish romance novels because the love story is between the two main characters who are in their sixties. Nadine has been widowed twice, and thinks that life and love has passed her by. Amos has never been married, or even been in love, but tumbles head-over-heals in love with Nadine the first time he sees her. Amos has no idea how to “court” at his age. To make things even more difficult, Nadine’s very reluctant to enter into another relationship, even if she is attracted to Amos. There’s humor and romance in Amos’s sometimes-not-so-successful attempts to win Nadine’s heart. I got just a little bit annoyed with Nadine at times, but I absolutely loved Amos. I finished this book with a smile and a happy sigh. I’m already looking forward to returning to Wells Landing in the next book. If you are looking for a sweet romance with a touch of humor, read this one. You’ll be cheering for Amos and Nadine, too.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.
Although "Romancing Nadine" by Amy Lillard is the 10th novel in the " Wells Landing Romance" series., It is a book that was a joy to read. It can be enjoyed as a standalone, but I recommend reading all this series. Each book features the characters from the other books but focuses on a certain characters, that is why this series is so fantastic.
This novel is about older characters who is in their sixties and found out that you're never too old for love. It is also a story that clearly shows that God is always with us and has the perfect plan for our lives.
These characters make you laugh and they make you cry.
I really though it was quite funny when Amos showed up at Nadine's house with 25 pounds of chocolate after taking advice from English friends. I mean if you want to impress a woman, you bring her chocolate right?
I love this series and hope there are more coming. I truly recommend this series if you want clean Amish romance novels that has it all, heartache, love, faith and characters that are real.
I received a contemporary copy from Amy Lillard and these opinions are my own.
Romancing Nadine is an Amish romance by author Amy Lillard. Romancing Nadine is installment #10 of A Wells Landing Romance series.
Amos Fisher has eyes only for Nadine Burkhart. Nadine doesn’t want to admit her feelings for Amos, because she was married two other times. However, for Amos, it was love at first sight, and even though it had been 50 years since he had wooed a girl he was determined to woo 64-year-old Nadine. When Jenna and Buddy gave Amos a visit, he realized he should continue wooing Nadine.
On Nadine’s 65 birthday he gave her something he thought she could use, a can-opener. His friends tried to give him tips on wooing which paid off in the end. I enjoyed the journey to their happily ever after.

Romancing Nadine is Amy Lillard's newest release! This must-read book is part of The Wells Landing series. Nadine Burkhart has been married twice, so when Amos Fisher insists that God's plans are for them to be together, Nadine can't believe it and tries to keep Amos as far away from her as possible. After all, she is in her sixties and doesn't have time for courting and everything that's involved in dating. Or, maybe she does? You will definitely want to check out this book and find out the rest of Nadine and Amos's story! The author does a great job of bringing the characters to life! They experience circumstances that we all can relate to including, fear, loneliness, hope, faith and love. You will feel like you are right there with them in beautiful Wells Landing, Oklahoma. A great read! I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book from the author and have given my honest opinion.
Amy Lillard takes us back to Wells Landing deep in the heart of Amish country. The rules are different here than most Amish communities but they do what works for for them. They are very open to new improved thinking.
Romancing Nadine was just a wonderful love story that captured my attention right away. This time the focus is on Jenna's Grandma Nadine. It's always good to read about someone close to my age and I loved that the focus was on a older couple and their struggles.
My favorite character was Amos who worked hard and knew so many different trades. He was loving, giving, and not one to give up easily.
I felt as though I was right there with them with such perfect descriptions. A great enjoyable read!
This book was given to me by the author. All the opinions are my own.
Romancing Nadine by Amy Lillard is a fun story about finding love even when you are trying to keep it at bay. Nadine is a sixty five year old woman who has loved and lost two husbands. She isn't looking for a third. Amos Fisher, however, is convinced that God has placed them together for a reason. As she fights her feelings and he tries everything from flowers to candy to get her attention, the two will find that love is even more than they imagined. I can't tell you how many times I laughed out loud during this story. I started it today and finished it today. It was a lot of fun, but it also reminded me that God's plan for us is not our own. We must remember to look to Him for the answers and the truth. Definitely a good read! You should check it out! I freely offer my opinion for this story. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me the chance to read it.
I love the continuity in this series, how the characters continue throughout subsequent books. Nadine is twice widowed and single. Amos has never married and feels that Nadine was meant to be his wife. Unfortunately Nadine is anything but willing to have Amos court her.
Such an engaging book, and not a dull moment to be found. This whole series has been so good and I have enjoyed each addition. I love how Jenna and Buddy are back and we get to see how things continue for them as well. You can read the book on it's own, but they are all so good that you should read them all learning to love the characters portrayed by the author.
Loved it and recommend it!
I received an ebook copy from NetGalley. All thoughts are my own.
"Romancing Nadine was proving to be more than his heart could take." Amos Fischer Romancing Nadine by Amy Lillard Amy Lillard's new book in her Wells Landing series is Romancing Nadine. Amos Fischer is a sixty two month old Amish bachelor who falls in love for the first time, with Nadine Burkhart, a widow and grandmother. Amos believes that God wants the two of them to be together, but Nadine thinks otherwise. Nadine only wants a friendship with Amos, as she has experienced love twice before. You don't want to miss reading this wonderful heartwarming romance story about two " seniors ' who meet and fall in love. It is a story of faith, trust and letting go of the past. Amy Lillard has written an absolutely charming book, Romancing Nadine to add to her Wells Landing series.
Nadine Bukhara is a sixty-four year old widow, twice, mother and grandmother. As she approaches her sixty-fifth birthday, she has come to the conclusion she was now old. She has had her life.
Amos Fisher, a bachelor in her community has decided that life is more than work, and he is sure God has sent him back to Well’s landing to find love for the first time. Needless to say, Nadine wants no part of his Scheme. She even goes to the extreme in her stubbornness.
Amos puts his faith in Godoy guide him as he pursues the love of his heart.
Such a refreshing look at older romance in this 5-star book.
I received a free copy of this book through a Goodreads giveaway and this is my voluntary and honest review. This is a wonderful clean Amish romance between Nadine and Amos who are both in their sixties when they first meet. Nadine is twice a widow and Amos has never been married. It is love at first sight for Amos but Nadine is afraid to love because it is too painful when that person leaves. Amos tries everything to change Nadine ' s mind. Did he succeed in winning her love? You will have to read the book to find out.I highly recommend this entertaining book.
I loved Nadine and Amos’s story. Both in their sixties, Nadine been married before but Amos has not. She is just not sure about doing marriage again at her age.
Romancing Nadine was funny at times. I loved the scenes with the dog. I also enjoyed the painting class. It was such an amazing story, goes to prove we can find love at any age.
I also enjoyed reading more about Jenna and the camel farm. The granddaughter of Nadine.
The Wells Landing Series keeps getting better and better.
I received an advanced copy of the book from the author. This book review is my own opinion.
