Vampires, shifters and humans, oh my!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙❤️💚💜💖
Steam: 🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙📔
World building: 🌏🌍🌏🌎🌍
Character development: ☺️🙃😳🥰🤓
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The Hero: Brayden - he is a human whose best friends are paranormal; he left the Avynwood pack to go away to college. He is living life as a human, a poor college student. Currently his roommates left to go home for the holidays since the heat isn’t working and it is winter in upstate New York. He has bulked up recently and now has been taking hand-to-hand combat class at the local gym.

The heroine: Kandra - she is a wolf shifter who was running away from her physically and mentally abusive pack alpha. Since it was winter, she couldn’t find any game in the woods. She came into town as her wolf to scrounge for food, when three guys assaulted her wolf and had her cornered.

The Story: When Brayden is on his way home one evening, he comes across three men abusing a frightened dog in an alley. He doesn’t back down from a fight against the three men and kicks their butts pretty quickly. As soon as the guys leave and he gets a look at the dog, he realizes it is a wolf shifter. He tells her that he is friends with shifters and tries to help her.

Other than that, I really liked this story. I liked that Kandra came from a bad background and though she was supposed to be stronger than Brayden because she was a shifter and he was human, it turned out that he was the strong one. She needed help and to be cared for and he was able to do that. Not only because he was strong and a fighter, but because he had so many paranormal friends to help her also.

Solomon is one of Brayden’s friends and offers to gift some of his powers to Brayden through a vampire bite, but Brayden declines. That is just stupid. I mean what normal human who has paranormal friends, wouldn’t want vampire strength or the power to read minds or teleport. Declining the offer just about ruined the story for me. I thought that would have been a great side story, with Brayden getting some awesome powers. Although, I was glad things ended up how they did.

This audiobook was told in dual points of view via dual narration. It was narrated by Sarah Colton and Troy Duran. I really like both of these narrators; Sarah Colton has a great voice and sounds age appropriate for Kendra. Troy Duran is one of my favorite male narrators, his voice is deep and sexy, and I love just about anything he narrates. Both are terrific at showing emotions through their voice.

I was so happy to see Brayden got his own story. Brayden a human is best friends with Ari and Paige and has been friends since childhood. Brayden was feeling so left out and like an outcast among his friends and any paranormal. He moves to New York to go to college and live that experience only to find an abused dog, that has been backed into an alley. One look in this dog's eyes and Brayden realize its a wolf shifter. Never seeing the human form of Kandra, the wolf he saves, he still this overprotecting strong connection to her. With the help of Ari, they nourish Kandra with food and shelter, but Kandra is abused has and been from her past boyfriend and his entire pack. She trustest no one and is really frightened of any and all males. Brayden just can't let these feelings go and fight to make Kandra feel loved.
This one was a slower read, Kandra and Brayden's relationship was such a sweet inst-love but it still just took time to develop. I just knew he was going to be an amazing boyfriend someday, and he did not disappoint. This book was darker than some of the past reads due to the abuse that Kandra went through. I thought the climax was kind of a letdown, there wasn't a ton of detail. I loved meeting new characters and revisiting old friends

Although Brayden is very close to the members of the Avynwood Pack he also feels like an outsider as not only does he attend college away from everyone, but he doesn’t have any of the gifts that the other members do. What starts out as a desire to help an injured dog takes a turn when he actually rescued Kandra, a wolf shifter.

Kandra had experienced being part of a pack and all it brought was pain and abuse so she is not only cautious about the men in the pack but the pack itself. As she and Brayden spend time together they realize that they are mates but her past is not about to just let her go.

Although Brayden feels like he is lacking he couldn’t have been a better match for Kandra as he will do anything to keep her safe while Kandra shows him that all she needs is him. I received a complimentary copy of the audiobook and thought the narrators were the perfect choice for both of these characters.

"I am so happy right now because I love the characters of the Avynwood Pack. Who would have thought that Brayden (a mere mortal) would be fated with a paranormal? Fate forced Brayden to rescue Kandra so that both could find their mates. This story had so many feels. I felt empathy for al that Kandra had endured, laughter at Ford and Solomon's antics, and an overall sense of happiness witnessing both Brayden and Kandra's evolution with the paranormal world, the pack and their love.

I love that the pack is growing and we get to meet so many of them. Sol, of course, is ridiculous and fans of the series will enjoy the epilogue."

Brayden always felt like an outsider as he was the only one of the pack of friends that didn't have any connection to paranormals like Paige and Ari (one mated and one became a paranormal). So now his time has come.
Be prepared for a HARD topic that will be handled in a graceful manner that made me love this series even more. So if you are not a fan get, after Bray and Kendra's story you will be!
Love, hate, devious last, mating, PTSD (of some sort), powerful friendships, past that was getting fast for you. Connections here runs deeper than blood ties!
I can't wait for the next story! Bring it on!!

In high school, Brayden was the third wheel with Ari and Paige and was madly in love with Paige, who did not feel the same way. Fast forward, Ari has Orion, and Paige has Wake, and both are apart of the paranormal world, leaving Brayden to once again, be the outsider. We get to journey with Brayden as he navigates his way through the paranormal universe, meeting his mate, Kandra, in the process. Kandra has a troubled past and has a hard time trusting people, especially men. Being in a pack has not been kind to Kandra.

One evening, Brayden encounters an attack and comes to the rescue. It completely endeared him to me. In previous books, I thought he was annoying, but getting his perspective completely changed how I view him. I enjoyed everything about this book. I read this book in one sitting because I needed to know what happens next, but there was one scene I wished was fleshed a bit more. You get more of your favorite characters and a revelation! There were a few moments where Ari annoyed me, but I love her dearly! I need the next book tomorrow!

This deals with captivity, abuse and rape. Solomon is an over the top vulgar vampire that I can do without. I’m done with this series and this author.

Its Brayden's turn!!!!!

If you aren't already in love with the Paranormals of Avynwood, there's no hope for you! Those like me that swoon at the mention of this series are going to be in absolute bliss.

Brayden's Return is a wonderful addition to the Avynwood pack. It's been hard knowing Brayden was on his own and not really keeping up with Paige and Ari as much. I understood his reasons it just hurt. Well, now you can enjoy the "prodigal" friend's return.

Just be careful, this book should come with a warning...Over exposure to the Verascue brothers can create a permanent dependency, read at your own risk!

Fall in love with the newest addition to the pack and learn to love others even more. The sap in me can't gush enough about the Avynwood Pack, even if Michelle Dare has yet to include me as a member! (Titus...I'm waiting!)

Brayden has always felt like an outcast among his friends. He is the only human in the midst of paranormals. While he adores each of them and is close with many of them, he still feels awkward and out of place when he's with him. Things change for him drastically when he witnesses what he thinks is a dog getting attacked. It turns out it was a shifter named Kandra getting attacked. Kandra has been through more than anybody should. She finds it hard to trust anybody fearing their true intentions. Her instincts tell her that she can trust Brayden. That he might be her mate.
I really loved this book! It was as fast-paced as the rest of the series. Not to mention the witty banter. I would have liked to see Solomon a bit more in this book, but I'll probably say that in every book. I love Solomon. He's my favorite male character. Ari is my favorite female character. But I digress. I really felt for Kandra. She had been through so much. I'm glad that Brayden found her. I think things would have been different had anybody else found her.
There's not really anything that I can think of on the top of my head that I didn't like about this book. There was a reference in the book that I was kind of annoyed with until the end where it became a key factor. I thought the author just kind of through a meaningless nugget of information until it was referenced again. I do think that if it was a bit of an important piece that more information should have been sprinkled into the story. Not a lot. Just maybe a reference or two more here or there.
This book was narrated by Troy Duran and Sarah L. Colton. They narrated the rest of the series as well. They did a fantastic job. If I'm being honest, I think they make the story even more appealing to me. Especially Duran's version of Solomon. I think it adds a lot more allure to Solomon than is already there. Yes, I'm aware I have a big bias on Solomon. I can't help it. But I digress. Again. I have listened to other books by Sarah L. Colton. I would definitely be willing to listen to others by her and Troy Duran.
This is the fifth book in a series. They can technically be read as standalone. I encourage anybody to read them all. They don't have to be read in order, but they are all very unique and a pure joy to read. I didn't really start loving this series right away. I enjoyed it very much, but I wasn't in love. However, I wound up falling in love with it more and more each book. I recommend this book and every book in this series!

First off, listened to the story on Audible. Both narrators do a great job. The female narrator did an excellent job of showing the emotion in her voice, and the male narrator had a good voice that fits Brayden really well. Definitely recommended for listening.

Interesting paranormal story. I’ve only read Kylest’s story so far in this series and really enjoyed it. There are some past characters in this book, but for the most part this story works as a stand-alone. I enjoyed Brayden’s story too. I’m looking forward to reading the other books in this series; well, maybe not Solomon’s book; he seems too pervy to me and kind of annoyed me in this book, so I’m thinking I may not enjoy a full book with him. The other characters seemed interesting through. One other thing that bothered me was the “jokes” about wanting to get others into bed when they are already mated. Also, does everyone have to seem bisexual; it was just weird for so many of them to be bi-curious. They don’t act on it, but numerous characters mentioned how attracted they were to members of the opposite sex; these are mated characters, so I wasn’t into it. Plus, there was a weird scene at the end with a whole bunch of them in a bed together with nudity and everyone wasn’t into it, so it felt like sexual assault. Another reason I’m not into Solomon’s book. I really liked the 2 I read so far though, so I’ll probably continue with the series.

Brayden was wonderful, and a total sweetie with Kandra. He’s a human while Kandra is a wolf shifter, but Brayden already knows about paranormals because his good friends are involved in the paranormal world. Kandra is on the run from a very horrible pack that raped and beat her repeatedly. Luckily, Brayden helps her out, but she has a long way to go before she can heal. She’s a likable character, but I was disappointed that she didn’t want those who saved her to take down the pack that continues to abuse and imprison people. Disappointed that she wouldn’t help the others in desperate need. I do wish that Kandra would’ve had more strength to save herself when she needed too, but she shows strength in other aspects. The romance is really sweet; Brayden and Kandra are a good match.

Overall, the whole story was entertaining, and the writing is pretty good. Just those few weird things kept it from being a 5 star; still a good read though.

His paranormal friends are part of the Avynwood pack. The pack is in another state. Brayden is Lucky Ari has teleportation ability. Lots of his paranormal friends do.
One day after leaving a coffee shop. Brayden comes across a group of guy's mistreating a large dog. Only it turns out to be a wolf shifter. Brayden manages to rescue her.
Kandra aka Kandi is a sweet wolf shifter. She ran away from the last pack she was in. Due to years of abuse from her Alpha Conner and his vampire friend Price! Kandi made it to New York while in her wolf form. Then while searching dumpsters for food she is attacked. When the sexy man rescued her she was so weak she passed out. When she wakes up she is in a strange apartment. Scared but her wolf is drawn to the stranger. Kandi sneaks out before Brayden wakes up.
Later that day while in her human form Kandi is attacked again by one of the guys who attacked her wolf. This time when she shifts her wolf kills him. This is when Ari discovers Kandi, and teleaports her away. Meanwhile Brayden had told Ari about the lone wolf he had found. And how worried he is about it. Ari is sure Kandi is the one Brayden had found. Since Ari can read minds and memories. She sees what happened to Kandi. She vows to help her, and Brayden does to. I've been waiting for Brayden's story since the first trilogy Michelle Dare wrote in the Avynwood world. Since one of his best friends, Ari, became part of the paranormal world, he's been struggling to find his place in life. He's been on the fringe of that world and watched his friends find their soul mates and happily ever afters. Those are the things he desperately longs for, and while sowing his wild oats at college, he hasn't found "the one." Then over the holiday break, he happens on a dog being taunted by some guys, only to recognize the dog is actually a wolf shifter.
Kandra's backstory is raw and emotional. Victimized by someone she trusted, she escapes and is just trying to survive. Shy and untrusting, Kandra feels drawn to Brayden but cannot bring herself to be honest and trust him. The story that unfolds is one of betrayal, pain, patience, friendship, trust, love, and commitment.
Ms. Dare updates the reader on the lives of the close-knit pack of paranormals that inhabit her Avynwood world and weaves a beautiful story for Kandra and Brayden. The emotions are well written and the humor her vampire brothers bring into the story always gives the reader a chuckle. The introduction of Brayden's roommates and trying to keep the paranormal world from them adds great depth, especially when one knows more than he should. The overpowering threat to Kandra from her past threatens far more than just her.
I thoroughly enjoy this series by Michelle Dare and look forward to the next book set in Avynwood. Her storytelling is spot on and her writing concise and well-paced. I highly recommend this book and this series to anyone who like not only paranormal romance but also anyone who enjoys read a good story.

I have been hoping for Brayden’s story since we first met him in the Ariane Trilogy. He is such an unwavering friend that makes you want to just hug him to reassure him that he does belong. But what Dare gives us in his story is just so much more! I absolutely adore how Kandra came into his life. How they bonded. Their connection. Everything. Between the fluidity of this story and its one of a kind concept, I devoured this book in hours. The most amazing part of this story is how much this interconnects with each other. The love of the friendship between them all that have been involved in this series.
Brayden is just swoon worthy as he takes in everything that is happening with him once Kandra enters his life. He is so fierce and protective, you would swear he was a shifter! With Kandra, with all the pain she has endured to get to Brayden, my heart aches. She is such a fighter but so broken at the same time. How she grows and rebuilds herself was amazing. How the connection between her and Brayden deepens. Add in your classic Ari and Paige who, while very protective of Brayden, embraces Kandra as one of their own. It was honestly pure magic.
Overall, this book is an amazing addition to the Avynwood series. I laughed, I cried, I swooned. It is absolutely amazing. Between the connection of Brayden and Kandra, the silly quips of Ford and Sol, the love that exudes from the rest of the pack, this one has absolutely everything you need and more. I beg of you, if you love YA PNR, this book, this series, is the best out there. You cannot help but fall in love with this shifter and paranormal world that Dare has created!

Brayden's Return tugs at the heartstrings. As a best friend of Ari and Paige, Brayden is a mainstay in the paranormal world and within the Avynwood Pack. He is human and accepts his friends and the world of paranormals as it is. I always felt a little sad for him as he never seemed to feel that he fit entirely into the world that his best friends are a part of, and a part of him wants to be part of their world as an equal. Enter Kandra, a very broken wolf, which Brayden saves from some evil men in New York.

Their love story is a fantastic uphill rollercoaster ride as they find out what it means to be fated. It was incredible to witness Brayden come into his strength as a man. Kandra is a lot stronger than what she thinks, and that is evident as she fights to free her mind and open up her emotions and her heart. She has been through more than what any being should ever have to as the author, Michelle Dare, deals with the subject of abuse openly in this story.

Another perk in this story is that Ariane (AKA Ari) and Orion are prominent as we find them entering a new phase in their union. Sol, Ford, and Aries, Cassie, Lellane, and Titus are also prominent. The other Avynwood Pack members are a massive part of Brayden and Kandra's story as they always protect those that they love. There are a couple of interesting twists as the paranormal world reveals itself to another human. There may be a story in that individual's future, and Kandra finds family in more ways than one.

Brayden was introduced in the Ariane trilogy and because he's just a regular ol mortal boy he went off to college to live his life. He's kept in contact with Ari and Paige and visits the pack house, but he's always felt like an outsider. Now he gets drawn back into the paranormal world when he happens upon a starving wolf that is actually a werewolf.

This story was fun, heartwarming and heartbreaking. As you learn about Kandra's story it breaks your heart that she has gone through so much in such a short period of time. Bray and Kandi (as Ari calls her) have a connection and you feel it. He wants to help her and protect her. You want them to be together, but the way to happily ever after isn't easy.

Like any good book, there is tension and danger and Kandi's past comes back to threaten her happiness. What she goes through is upsetting, horrifying and heartbreaking and you want to reach into the book and beat the ever loving **** out of the terrible beings that hurt Kandi. Thankfully she's not alone anymore and her new family comes to save the day.

As always we get to see more of the Avynwood gang and one of my favorites who we don't know much about, Titus, makes an appearance. And what's an Avynwood Paranormal novel without a cameo by the Verascue brothers? Their banter is always a welcome and hilarious addition.

It was a great read. I'm a fast reader and I devoured this book. I look forward to reading more of the world Michelle has created.

I'm so excited that we get to find out Brayden's story! Every book in this series is amazing!

We learned from previous books, that Brayden is best friends with Ari and Paige. Ari and Paige are now married and their spouses/mates are of the paranormal world. Brayden is welcomed by the Avynwood Pack, but he's the only human and does feel out of place, even though everyone is so kind and welcoming. Brayden's world changes the night he sees some guys teasing a poor dog in an alley. However, the dog turns out to not be a dog at all, but a wolf. A very scared, skinny, weak wolf. Since he's around paranormals all the time, he recognizes that this wolf is a shifter. He befriends the wolf, taking her to his place and taking care of her. However, in the morning when he wakens, the wolf is gone.

Kandra is a wolf shifter and is from a broken, abused pack. She doesn't think she'll ever trust anyone again after what her pack put her through. Or will she? There's something so safe about the human, named Brayden that makes her want to trust again.

This was such an enjoyable, captivating story! Not only was it great to get Brayden's story, but incorporated throughout the story are all the characters that I've come to love about the Paranormals of Avynwood series! I gotta say after reading all five stories, Ford and Solomon are still my absolute favorites and make these stories so enjoyable!!

When we left off with Christmas Brayden was lonely and left out from his best friends lives. When he rescued a strange weak wolf from tormentors and found out the wolf is a shifter, took it to his unheated apartment and fell asleep, but when he woke up the shifter was gone. He only touched the fur of the shifter since he had to carry it, he he felt a concern connection to the shifter not fully understanding what’s happening. But of course Ari knew so she came to Brayden destress call. Ari did give some inkling to Bray about the wolf shifter she found out in the woods and how the girl is safe but also Ari is rescuing Kendra ‘Kandi’. Bray has someone to help and heal.
Kandi has a rough life, she had her mother killed in front of her at 13, a guy saved her at 15, same savior raped her at 16 and brought other males to take from her for years. Now she’s 18, her wolf saved her from future abuse and ran from her prison. Until a guy saves her wolf from the street and her tormentors weeks later. Can Brayden fully help heal Kandi from her past and keep her safe until the threats are eliminated with help from Ford and or Sol??? Or will Kandi’s past find her and break her spirit and her body for good ???

Bray is a human and friends with Ari and Paige, but he doesn't feel like he belongs because of being human. Then one night he finds a what he thought was a dog but really was Kandra in her wolf form. He gently talks to her and convinces her to follow him home so he can help her. Kandra sneaks out before he wakes the next day and Bray is upset and fells a sense of loss without her being there. Ari finds Kandra just after she defends herself from another attack and ends up helping here. Kandra has been abused in the worse way possible and is wary of strangers but more when its men. When Ari reads her memories, she sees that she has met Bray and its not long before she brings him to see Kandra. Bray and Kandra are fated mates, but they have a long road to journey from everything she had done and the continued threat to her. Will they get a chance to be together? Can the pack help her with the threat?

This book can trigger you with a part of the subject matter.

This is a great story that will draw you in from the first chapter on. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

Brayden has never felt like he belongs in the world that his friends Ari and Paige are a part of. He is a human among all these paranormals. He is living in New York getting his degree. His world is about to change forever when he meets Kandra.
Kandra is not use to kindness, she has been through to many horrible things in her life. She has been on the run and alone for awhile. She is a wolf shifter without a pack and she is ok with it.
Brayden will save Kandra when she is in wolf form and takes care of her. Yet, she will run away from him and his kindness. With the help of his friends will they be able to show Kandra that there are kind people. Brayden and Kandra feelings will begin to show. Brayden will do anything to keep Kandra safe and show her what love is really like.

This was really enjoyable story, as Brayden is finally front and center. You will devour this book and want more. The author keeps you drawn in with the characters she creates and has such amazing stories for each character she has decided to write about.

What is not to like about this book! It has everything needed to make a nicely rounded story! The fun, the shifters, the vampires, the laughter, the evil and the mate bond. I really love these stories. This pack and their friends are so much fun to read/listen. The main story is tragic up to a point. Luckily for us than means we get to see the Avynwood crew.

Seriously I love every story but the time spent in the pack or with the vamps is usually my favorite. The relationships they have make me laugh. They are brotherly and sisterly which means fighting and pranking each other. We get to know Titus a bit more in this book and see the pack side come out in him as well. When him and Aiden fight in the living room? It’s hilarious what they are actually scuffling over. Then there is the whole sharing a bed thing (once you’re pack)at the end still makes me laugh EVERY time I listen to it! They are gonna need bigger beds in that pack house :-D

I did listen to this on audio. Troy Duran and Sarah L. Colton are the best at this series. I will forever hear Troy being Solomon and Ford in my head!

✯✯5 Brayden Filled Stars!!!✯✯

OMG Michelle Dare did it again!!! She wrote another grand-slam. I’ve been waiting for Brayden to get his story since the very beginning of The Ariane Trilogy . It was totally worth the wait!!!

Brayden is living in New York while going to college. Ever since his best friends Ari & Paige fell in love with wolves and moved into the Avynwood pack house he’s felt like an outsider. Even though Ari, Paige and everybody in the Avynwood pack reminds him that he’s part of their family.

Brayden stays on campus during holiday break. Walking home one night he comes across a bunch of guys beating up a dog. Brayden stops them and the minute he looks into the eyes of the dog he realized it’s no dog but a wolf.

Brayden convinces the Wolf to comeback to his apartment to heal, get rest and food. He doesn’t know anything other then they’re a wolf but he feels a connection to them nonetheless.

When he wakes up the wolf is gone. Ari shows up when he calls and decides to go looking for this lone wolf. Ari promises Brayden she’ll look out for the wolf.

Kendra doesn’t have any family. When she lost those closest to her she was taken in by a pact.

Kendra and the rest of the women in the pact were treated horribly. They were told when to eat, sleep, talk and everything else. They were also used against their will as the men saw fit.

Kendra was finally able to plan her escape but she’s very weak, scared and is very underweight. She needs to eat and sleep and hideout. When she’s attacked she doesn’t fight back.

Then Brayden showed up saved her and gave her a place to sleep. She doesn’t trust anybody ESP men but there was something about him that both her and her wolf trusted completely.

Ari showed up and told Kendra she had a place she could go and be safe her options were limited but she trusted Brayden and he trusted Ari, so Kendra went.

Kendra didn’t want to be in a pact after what she just went through. When she met Aries, the alpha of the Avynwood pact he offered her protection and a place in his pact if she ever wanted it.

Kendra knew she had a lot of healing mentally to do. But, she wanted to get to know Brayden. And, gradually meet other members wolves, vampires and fae of the Avynwood pact.

Brayden felt strongly for Kendra. He was very protective of her. So much that he took up the Verascue brothers on letting them gift him powers in order to keep him and Kendra safe. Just in time bc Kendra’s past has returned.

Once I started this I didn’t put it down. This is as amazing as the previous in this series and The Ariane Trilogy .

It has all the previous characters and their greatness. The way the Paranormals look and treat Brayden as one of their own was great. I don’t know how he felt like an outsider bc they never looked or treated him as one not once.

The Solomon/Ford banter the back and forth greatness is still here and great as before lol.

Michelle set up our next charter Titus. And, Kendra and Titus’s connection was OMG YAYYYYY!!!! I legit didn’t see that coming.

Like I said this is another grand slam winner for Michelle!!! Can’t wait for Titus. I’m also keeping my fingers crossed Brayden’s roommate gets a mate in the paranormal world. He definitely fits into this world.

Kandra is a wounded shifter and comes from a pack of rape and abuse. Therefore, she doesn't trust easily. Brayden has been feeling left out when it comes to his best friends because he was the only one not paranormal affiliated.
While walking home in his thoughts, he noticed a dog being abused by some men. Brayden puts a stop to the abuse and goes to help the "dog" only to realize it's a wolf shifter. He takes "it" home to care for it, although the shifter barely trusts him. He wakes to find the shifter gone, a strong sense of loss present. He soons finds out that the shifter he rescued was a girl. Over time, he slowly builds trust with her and goes the extra mile, doing whatever it takes to protect her from her old pack.
While sad, this book is fun due to Ari and the banter between her and Solomon and Ford. I am glad it was included to lighten the mood in between all the pain.
I wish that I could say the bed scene gets old, but I would be lying. I so enjoy seeing how it plays out. I think it should become a normal way of welcome into the pack 😉.

I tried so hard to pace myself reading this book so I could savor it, but the Michelle Dare effect happened again and I just ended up absolutely devouring it in a matter of hours. Nothing could have gotten me to put this book down. Just when I think we’ve seen the best from the Avynwood Pack in comes Brayden to show me that indeed, it does get even better.
He has grown into such an incredible man since we first met him. The kindness that radiates from him is just astounding and is exactly what is needed by his mate. Honestly these two are one of my favorite couples in the series. There’s a quiet sweetness to their love that is no less breathtaking than the fiery passion of their friends and that really REALLY spoke to me.
Of course I also absolutely loved getting to spend time with everyone entirely while reading this, like always this tight knit family is ever present to be there and support Brayden and his mate. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book!

Brayden has been best friends with Ari and Paige for years. He felt left out now that they are a part of the paranormal world and he's not. Walking home one night, he sees a group of men picking on a dog down the alley. He rescues the dog, but when he looks into it's eyes, he realizes it's not a dog but a wolf shifter. Trying to help this paranormal, he takes it back to his apartment.
Kandra is on the run and hungry. She doesn't have the energy to fight off the men when a stranger stops them. She's caught with no where to go but with this stranger.
I've been waiting for Brayden's story. I couldn't wait to see who he was fated with. What a journey these two have been on. I was hooked to their story. Felt anger at Kandra's abuse. Michelle hits this story out of the park. I love this series and fall more in love with each book she writes. The epilogue, hysterical!!

I really enjoyed this new installment in the Avynwood Pack series by author Michelle Dare. Brayden has been the loyal best friend to Ariane and Paige but he has been floundering to find his place in their new world. While not a paranormal and not a part of the paranormal world itself, Brayden has never felt like he felt in Paige and Ari's new life. Enter Kandra. Kandra has been through hell and back, literally, and she has survived by the determination of her wolf. When she and Brayden cross paths, it's hard for both of them to walk away, but neither fully understand the pull. I loved how this story unfolded and how they each found their way in this paranormal world while also finding themselves in the process. I highly recommend this book for anyone that loves paranormal/fantasy fiction!

Brayden is out buying food when he comes across three young men terrorising a dog n an alley. He sends them packing, and then realises that the dog is really a wolf - and a shifter at that. Although he is human, Brayden has many paranormal friends - he is very close to the Avynwood pack, and he takes Kandra home to feed her and keep her warm. When he wakes up the next morning, she is gone - and he cant understand the feelings that he is experiencing.
Ari, Rion and the others help, and they find her - they learn just how badly she has been abused, and all vow to take care of her.
Why does Brayden feel so strongly for her? And what will happen when her abuser finds her and kidnaps her?
Any Avynwood pack story is always a winner for me, and this one is too!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Brayden is a human who has paranormal friends. He knows about their world and, not an actual part of it, he feels like an outsider. He goes off to college, but hasn’t found “the one” yet. One evening on his way home, he saw a starving “dog” that is actually a wolf shifter. Kandra had run away from an abusive situation and doesn’t know who to trust. But when trouble comes back for Kandra, Brayden will keep her safe no matter what he has to do. She is not alone now, and her new family is ready to stand up for her.

This story was good and the author handled Kandra’s abuse story very well. The emotions are engaged, not only in seeing what Kandra went through, but in seeing her finally find a connection with Brayden. They have a difficult path to travel, yet there is strength in them and they just may make it to their HEA. Grab your copy and see how the story resolves for them.

I was so happy Brayden got his own story, I was afraid he was going to be left out. Finding his mate gave him a big change in how he saw himself. He wanted to be everything for her and was not afraid to go after what he wanted. I love how the pack pulled together to help him and you just have to love Sol and Ford. I think Kandra was perfect for Brayden as he needed someone who made him feel needed. I enjoyed the fast paced storyline, loved the characters and the easy bickering between everyone always makes me smile. I have some reservations about Brayden's roommates, I liked the one that was brought over to the paranormal world but think something fishy is going on with the other one. ( I guess I will see as the stories continue.) As always this was a great fun read and I look forward to the next big adventure.
