Quirky and cute, funny and original, this rom com is sure to put a smile on your dial.
The two main characters could not be opposites but together they create a one hell of a hilarious adventure.
If you are looking for a great feel good story to break up some of the deeper and heavier reading this is the perfect book for you.

this book had some really funny stuff and it was full of foolishness, i should've loved it, but i had a hard time truly getting into it, all the family drama was annoying and cliche, plus the thing between his sister and her dad was really hypocritical and disturbing

SINOPSIS:

When a con goes bad... and i mean bad... Luca crossed the wrong person when he did a con and well someone close to him has to pay if he doesn't do what they ask.. its simple really kidnap a person and take them to a certain spot simple and easy.. well thats what Luca thought. Francis and her doggie Chandler Bing have a simple shelter life.. like really shelter her friends are well old people and books, movies and tv stars.. a very boring life... until she thinks she getting fake kidnapped by a hawt outlaw man ;)

And boy their banter and cons were funny and over the top... like super over the top..
I enjoyed this book alot but Franny was super over the top.. and alittle annoying... yeah some moments i was like ehhh to over the top for me.. i also didnt enjoy her forgiving a person for what they did it was a super fast i forgive you.. should have made that man suffer..

I also really dont care to much about death aka Vincent and Luca sister.. i didnt need a extra chapter of that. :/ or their relationship didn't really do anything for me.

No ow/om drama, no cheating, slight secondary chara, Drama, sexy times, virgin gal and no manwhore

This romcom was different and unputtable down. The story started with some action and the dialogues between Francis and Lucas so humorous and made me laugh out load. This girl is so silly in a good way, fun, innocent and crazy. An amusing, light and adorable read.

A wildly entertaining and quirky tale of a con-man and Francis.

Francis is something else entirely. She has been sheltered her whole life and because of that these bizarre things come out of her mouth. She has this unreal sense of humor and that you just never know where she is going with things. But she is also clever and has a heart of gold. When she finds herself in the middle of something she can't explain her sheltered life is about to blow wide open.

Luca is a conman who conned the wrong man and finds himself adding kidnapping to his long list of felonies. Luca is just trying to do right by his family and while his intentions are good, his life of crime is catching up to him. What he can't figure in all of this is where Francis comes in. What should not be an adventure turns into one, car chases, break-ins and cons galore.

This was a sweet sort of romance, funny and really interesting. It was one of those books that you really never knew where things were going. Some of the situations were really out of left field but it certainly kept me on my toes and found myself devouring this clever tale rather quickly.

Are you ready for a ridiculous, roll your eyes, laugh out loud romcom? Then this is the book for you. Luca is the best con man around. Too bad he pulled a con on the wrong person and is now in his debt. He needs to do one job...how hard can it be? If he only knew! Francis expected a normal relaxing night at home with her little dog, Mr. Chandler Bing , but that is nothing like what she got. She thinks it’s a joke and her friend arranged this little “adventure.” She would be very wrong! This is quite a funny, silly caper that’s an easy read. I also like how it takes place in my neck of the woods! Told in dual POV.

Conheartists is a stand-alone book written by K. Webster and J.D. Hollyfield. There is a tease in the end about another book, but Luca and Franny's story ends in this one.

The book was over the top so you are either going to love it or hate it. The characters found themselves in situations that most people don't and got away with stuff that was almost impossible to pull. Personally, I am not a big fan of over the top situations and I struggled a little with the book. Still, it wasn't difficult for me to read and I had a good time mostly. A few twists were a little predictable to be honest and I was shaking my head at some other things that went down and that's the reason why I am going with the 3 stars for the book. I was not a big fan of it, but I didn't dislike it either.

If the other book that could be written one day, actually gets published (the authors left it too open) I will certainly read it though because it was a big tease in this book and I honestly thought that these two characters were already a couple. Once you read the book, you will understand what I am talking about.

This is my first book by J.D. Hollyfield, but I have read plenty of K Websters. This is a new sub-genre for me from her though and wow, I was not expecting what I got, I went into this knowing it was going to be different. It's a rom-com and being so use to Ms. Websters darker side... This had me intrigued. I think both authors wrote this brilliantly.

Francis was something else, I mean that is one way to explain her. She was funny as hell, a little immature, and her two best friends were two elderly twins. She has a kind of unhealthy obsession with Richard Simmons, and she is like no other character I have read before... And I think that's what I loved most about her. In every way, she was different. She was adorable and weird and different and funny and just a treat to read!

Luca? He was different in his own way too. I mean he's probably not as nuts as Francis... Actually, if I am honest, he's probably the lesser crazy out of all the characters... We can count animals/pets as characters, right? Well, there was a cat that dressed up, goats and dog named Chandler Bing... Oh god, I couldn't stop laughing... Luca was everything, and I love him... and I want his babies...

These two started off as enemies really, they were working against each other, but it wasn't long before they realized they worked better as a team. These two were so different from each other. You wouldn't think it would work... But the authors played these two perfectly and what I thought would be downfalls to a relationship, turn out to be some of the strongest elements they had. These two together were truly funny as hell and so awesome to read.

All in all, this book has probably gone down in history as one of the funniest books I've had the pleasure to read. Everything about this book is unique. The storyline is unpredictable, and had my jaw hitting the floor, while I tried to control my laughter. I absolutely loved this! These two authors worked so well together. The story flowed with ease and it made for an enjoyable read that I will go back and re-read often!

6/5 Stars!!

WHAT DID I JUST READ? OMG. I just... I... I am kind of lost for words. I am really hoping that my take on this book is the intended take these two zany authors were hoping for.

Let's start out with, if you're looking for a serious, heavy, and/or realistic read, this isn't what you're looking for right now. If you're looking for a zany, unrealistic, silly, spoofy read, you're definitely in luck. This book is the latter and then some.

I just... I... seriously, what did I just read? I am sitting here chuckling at this book while trying to come up with what to say.

Okay. The characters. So over the top and exaggerated. I loved them! So quirky, a little weird, a little cliche', a lot cheesey. If someone says they didn't like the characters, they clearly have NO sense of humor.

The book itself. *insert chuckles* I loved it in all of it's over the top, cheesey, zany humor. There were some parts I read over and over again because I enjoyed laughing so hard. The mystery machine? Come on, that was GOLD right there!

If I had to pick my favorite character, it would probably be "Dr. Death". I mean.... COOOOOOMMMMEEEE OOONNNNNN. By the way, when does his book come out? I need that shizzz right meow!

Listen, I am not going to say anything else about this one. You just have to read it, and remember, this is NOT what you are expecting. It's for those with a great sense of humor, looking for an insanely, cheesey laugh. If you can't respect and enjoy this one, then I really feel sorry for you.

Get ready to Laugh Yo Ass Off ladies while reading Conheartists by K. Webster and JD Hollyfield.

I tell you what, when I see these two co-writing a book together, I know I am in for one hell of a fun, LMAO and smoken Hawt read!!!

Francis is such a hilarious woman!! She is soo naïve but she can handle what is thrown at her. Its like she lives in her own little world and whatever is going on around her she just goes with the flow and toots her own horn!! lol

Then there's Luca, he's the con man, a baddd ass but when he is forced to kidnap Francis, he just doesn't know what to think about this crazzy ass woman. He thought this was going to be an easy task but ohh he was soo wrong!! If it wasn't so important for him to kidnap her, I think he would have killed her and moved on...lol

These 2 authors had me rolling while reading this book...Can't wait for their next book!!

This was super entertaining and hilarious. I loved the heroine. She was ridiculous, in a zany way. You never knew what this girl was going to do.

She lives in a really small town and was extremely sheltered all her life. She’s 22 and still a virgin. Never even been kissed. Her mom passed away from cancer 2 years prior. Her best friends are 2 crazy old ladies that work for her at her antique shop. She dresses like she grew up in the 80’s. She watches (and adores) Richard Simmons on her VHS player. She has a Chihuahua named Chandler Bing and has full on conversations with him.

The hero comes busting in her house to kidnap her and she thinks her 2 crazy old friends put him up to it. So happily goes along with it thinking it will be some grand adventure. Which it is.

"“I’m totally not into this anymore. I had a quiet night planned with Richard and then you came in here wanting to play your freaky sex games because my seventy-year-old BFF’s twin put you up to this, but game’s over, buddy. I’m tired and I’m hungry. And Richard awaits.”

The hero is a con artist tasked with kidnapping the heroine and taking her to Mr. Death in exchange for his sister and niece (who he’s holding hostage). He ends up falling for his crazy captive.

"She tastes like lunacy and corn nuts, but hell, I like it."

This was so much fun. I can hardly believe K Webster co-wrote this. I’ve read a lot of her other work and it’s dark romance and forbidden type tropes. These 2 authors definitely need to collaborate again on another book similar to this one. I’d be all over it!

Okay, I really enjoyed this book.

It was definitely a lighter, but funny read.

My favourite characters have to be Mabel and Beatrice. (I could definitely see myself as Beatrice when I'm older, haha!)

My cheeks and stomach are hurting with laughing and smiling like crazy while reading Conheartists by K. Webster and JD Hollyfield. This story was equally hilarious and steamy. The dynamic duo created a set of absolutely adorable and unforgettable characters here. And the story line will give some of my very favorite con movies run for money.

Francis and Leo are the lead characters and lead couple in the story. Francis is so cute and lovable with her a bit loony, a bit odd, a bit quirky and a bit of innocent personality. She was born and brought up in a small town where nothing ever happens. And she has this boring life there with her old but young friends, chandler aka her dog aka her best friend, love for smutty romance and VHS. Leo, the supremely notorious and hunted by all law enforcement has to kidnap her and deliver her to mob boss holding his sister and niece captive. During this unexpected journey Leo finds out this sheltered woman is a bombshell with many feathers in her cap. And Francis finds Leo can be actually one of the romance heroes she always fantasize about. The authors will take you to a funny as hell, action packed and entertaining path. What lies at the end? Well you have to see. The secondary characters are equally insane and surprising.

The way Francis helped Leo to pull out con was so amazing to read. They do impossible tricks together. I could not stop laughing out loud at their shenanigans as they make a cross country joureny in full con artist style. I am in love with Francis! She is so fearless, compassionate, smart and sweet with own brand of craziness. Leo gets upset and irritated with her stunts but slowly feels a camaraderie and then love for this incredible woman. Today they will take down the biggest enemies as they can be really ferocious while protecting people they love. It blended con movie suspense, rom com, steamy passion and sweet love perfectly.

Conheartists by K Webster and JD Hollyfield will stage a con on your heart and steal it from right under your nose. I had a blast while reading it and I am sure you will too.

This is the Rom-Com that I've been impatiently waiting for my whole life!
This isn't slap-stick funny, it's a bit cheesy at times, but on the whole I found myself laughing out loud, snorting often, and chuckling quite a bit.

Francis is a good girl, she's led a sheltered life (thanks to mom) and appreciates the finer things life has to offer: TV dinners, romance novels, and Richard Simmons! Thankfully she isn't alone to tackle what life has to throw at her, she has a team of senior citizens who are concerned about her welfare and are ready to champion her cause no matter what it is. Bea, Mabel, and Henry added so much to this story and I absolutely loved them. The character who really stole the show, though, is a tiny chihuahua Bing.

Luca is a bad guy, he lives in the shadows and cons his way through life. Having only a couple people that he truly cares about, he sets off to complete the perfect con to help them better their situation. The problem is he gets involved with the wrong mark and his whole world is flips upside down.

I really liked this story, it was interesting and different. A little cheesiness, a lot of adventure, action, slow building romance, and a touch of mystery all come together to provide a truly entertaining read. I will admit that I had my suspicions of what was going on early in the book, but that really didn't bother me as I enjoyed seeing Frannie come into her own!
Overall, this was a strong 4 star read.

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~

This is an utterly silly, and very amusing romance / mafia / road trip story. It signposts what is going to happen, and yet keeps a few twists up its sleeve to catch you out and up the tension.

Whilst the two leads, Luca and Francis (I was very confused by this male spelling of the name initially!) are absolute gold together - their level of banter and the intelligence of their conversations is stellar - there are lots of side characters who give so much to describe the scene at the time. So the oldies in her home town are just exactly as you would expect them to be ... and bring to life the antiques store, the closed off, quite insular town they live in, but also a degree of cheeky fun. The Rossis are genuinely bad, and cause injury which jars very effectively with the sweetness and light that was just on the previous page ... this jumping from good to bad is timed really cleverly and keeps you on your toes as a reader, which I enjoy.

I think I loved most of all the fact that in spite of Frannie’s insulated life, she still was absolutely full of energy, fun and could pull a con just as well as Luca! And no review of this book could fail to mention Bing - her little dog with a big opinion!

**I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.**

Frannie is in her twenties and stuck in her life. She lost her mom and to stay close to her she started running her antique shop. Her best friends were sixty year old sisters and she dressed in her mothers clothes. She needed fun and adventure.

Luca was doing everything he could to save his sister and his niece after they were kidnapped. He was a professional conman. He conned for a living until he cons the wrong people. To save his sister he has to kidnap Frannie and take her to Mr. Death. What he doesn't expect is finding all of Frannie's weird crazy quirks cute and appealing. The more time they spend together the more he knows he can't trade her for his sister. How will he save her and his sister and niece at the same time?

I debated whether or not I wanted to read this one. Don't get me wrong I read almost everything Webster writes but I am not a huge fan of rom coms. I have to say this may have changed my mind about this genre. I found Luca and Frannie hilarious. They were sexy and fun. Frannie was just plain innocent and crazy and just made this book.

5 laughing my butt off stars!!! This book is strange, funny, over the top and add in a sprinkle of romance!!

What do you get with a con artist, a sheltered Richard Simmons loving woman, a Richard Simmons loving dog, two old but hilarious old ladies, a romance reading ex army man, a Jean Claude Van Damme look alike, a goat boss, a goat who is a whore and a man who dresses his cat up?!?! You get one funny ass book!!!

Omg I laughed so hard with this book. Like people entered the room I was is to make sure I was ok because I was gut laughing. The beginning of this book was a little more on the strange side but as the book went you realize strange and these characters go hand in hand.

The couple in this book are like complete opposites and I love it. He is there to kidnap her and she is just trying to live out her book fantasy. Except she ends up getting wayyyy more then that.

I could not even tell this was written by two separate authors. It was seamless. If you want a rom com that will have you laughing until you cry this is the book for you!!

When Luca wrongs a person he shouldn’t he finds himself in the position of making amends and that means abducting a woman and ensuring that she is delivered safely but nothing could have prepared him for Francis.

Francis has always lived her life on the sidelines by reading or watching adventures but never experiencing them. In the beginning she believed she was being pranked but when she realizes that it is very real rather than fleeing in fright, she is fully prepared to be his partner.

Their journey will bring a smile to your face, especially the wild and wacky second characters. Heat, humor and a little suspense as the captive captivates her captor.

This book was absolutely hilarious! Definitely one of the funniest romcoms I’ve read. Hands down. It was creative-not the typical romcom insta love-but had some depth, adorable, fun loving depth. It was a total light read, which I’m not used to by either one of these authors-but it proves how versatile they really are. Together, these authors are indeed a dynamic duo that will cause aspiration if you drink any liquids while reading this book. A fun, light, laugh out loud romantic story you’re sure to love!

I picked this book solely because I love K Webster. Not one of my normal reads. I wanted to see if this little switch up would do it for me.

To be honest... I was on the fence the whole time with this book. It took me awhile to get into. Everything that has happened has been so over the top. That’s what was tripping me up.
I just couldn’t get past all the craziness of all the situation they were in.

Yes, it had it’s funny moments. But... it was still all too much for me.

Overall... this was an ok read. But not really my thing.
