The Storm King is the ultimate evil. He’s abused and tortured innocent citizens. He’s murdered people my princes and I love and care about. And he’s about to get what’s coming to him.
But first, we must save Blackwood Kingdom from international war. Fae, sirens, and harpies are coming to destroy us, and short of a divine intervention, I’m not sure how we’re going to survive it. Our only hope is amassing enough allies to give us a fighting chance.
If we can somehow pull a miracle out of thin air, and actually live long enough to face the wicked king, then I swear I will fulfill the destiny granted to me the moment I received my powers… I will kill the king, even if it’s the last thing I ever do.
PERFECT STORMS is the final book in the STORMS OF BLACKWOOD series, a fast burn, RH, paranormal romance. 18+

This book was seriously disappointing. I was expecting a grand finale with a lot of action. All I got was a Cock rebellion, the children of the ruling monarchs who were invading Blackwood getting together and peacefully overthrowing their parents. I could still get behind this diplomatic stuff, but then there was no real war with the Storm King, no big battle, no action, no working together to overthrow the King. And it didn't matter who the King killed because you knew that Chris and Rob would just bring them back to life, so there was no loss, no sadness, no sacrifice. Then the epilogue, what the hell? Unless this author actually plans on writing a series about all the Gods and demigods going to this created on the spot University, then I see no reason for the book ending the way it did. I more wanted to know how they were going to rule as a unit, and bring the kingdom together. Heck, even Alexis being pregnant at the end would have been a better ending. I'm seriously fedup, this had such potential. Warning, damn there is a lot of sex in these books.
If you don’t like spoilers, don’t read this review. The only way I can explain why I didn’t give it more stars is to give out spoilers.
Here it goes...
1. Finding the sister once. Leaving the sister there. Then she doesn’t show up until the end and kills the king(more on that later on)? Like whatttttt? I personally think the author shouldn’t have even added her unless you were going to write more about her. 2. I thought the Alicorn was gonna be more involved in the story. Like it would save the day or something. Granite, it did help one situation, but then it never showed up again which was annoying and a let down. It wasn’t really explained well either. It was just “there” and then gone. I was hoping to get to know more about it and it’s reasoning. 3. The proposal Asher did was amazing, until he said “marry me and Crissen”. CHRISSEN WASNT EVEN THERE DURING THE PROPOSAL! He was just added in and thats it. Then the next chapter is them getting married. Talk about lame for Crissens character.
****side note: I dont think Crissen should have been added to the story either because I feel like the author didn’t do much with that character. I feel she just brushed him to the side and fit him in the story where she wanted. She didn’t take the time to do more with the character as I would have liked.****
4. The war turned into talking and becoming allies. Like... why did you set up this book as if there was going to be this big war and base the chunk of the series on it and then say “nahhh they aren’t gonna fight”. Some readers might be okay with that, but I just read this whole series in anticipation of war because of the choices the storms made but in the end it didn’t seem like any of it mattered.🙄🙄🙄
5. THE ENDING.... SERIOUSLY. How are you going to have the sister (who is nothing to this book) kill the king on accident because her powers came out? [I’m glad the others got to still bring him back to life and kill him but still🙄] Additionally, we don’t fully know or understand what her power is, the aftermath of it, and her additional power. NOTHING. The only thing we know is she can’t speak after using it, but that’s it. The explanation stopped there.
Wait... now come to think of it... we don’t even know Crissen additional power 🙄🙄🙄 ughhh! . . . .
Anyways, needless to say, I wasn’t impressed with this book and will not continue onto the “next part in the series”. I really enjoyed it in the beginning, but it just fell FLAT for me. So sad to give it this review, but I was just extremely disappointed in it.

I am so disappointed in this book. It could have been done well but the plot is horrible, trite, and anti-feminist.
The storm king murders some people (trying to not include spoilers). Alexis goes all self-blaming for the murders. The murders occurred in another kingdom by another person. She wallows and takes off to have a huge pity party. The people who were close to murdered people have to comfort her. She keeps going on and on and on about it being her fault.
I absolutely HATE when characters do this. It is such a self-centered viewpoint not to mention hackneyed, trite, and stereotypical. It would have been great to see Alexis take in the pain of the deaths, support the people who were legitimately affected by the deaths, recognize the situation and move forward. Something along the lines of the storm king did this...the people are free of being tortured...what can we do for the people still living. Nope it was pity party for one. Even when she went back with the men she never really comforted, remembered, the grieving her men were going through. She was a spoiled, self-centered, brat.
It also doesn’t make sense in the overall plot. If the storm king keeps killing off people who mean something to all the MC, he won’t have any leverage left. Then what? He only keeps his power as long as he keeps doing Ares’s challenges, which were being done by the mcs.
I’m all about the steam, but there’s a time and place. The author tries to work in steam where it’s downright awkward and uncomfortable to be.
Im totally okay with shouting this from the roof tops!! THIE BOOK IS FANTASTICAL!!!!!! This whole series is AMAZING!! Gods im so glad the "Zachy boy" got what was coming for him!! He deserves everything he got and more! There were so many emotions, so much adventure and action. The nail biting turn of events. The beautiful moments 😍 and the amazing relationships. And the best part of it all, we still get to see more of their future!! Elle did an amazing job!!
There aren't enough words to explain how amazing this book is!
It all comes to an end with Perfect Storms. Tensions are high, war is on the horizon and the young Storms are ready to take what's theirs!
The world-building is excellent, as you come to expect from Elle's books. The characters have become so real and full of life. Their dynamic and relationships within the group have been solidified and nothing will break them. There is incredible action and romance in this book and it is balanced with great wit and laugh out loud banter.
This whole series has proven a delight to read and I would highly recommend it!
Are you kidding me? This author takes her readers thru four books and one novella then gives us a HAPPY FOR NOW ENDING?-HER WORDS NOT MINE. Which. Btw. This isn’t even a HFN. They get zapped to a university for gods by Zeus. W. T. Utter. F. These mcs are in their late 20’s.
No. Just. Nope. I don’t care if she is setting this up for another series for this group of characters. That was absolutely bullshit. Period.
I realize authors create in bursts and when the mood strikes. But finishing a long series like this on a HFN (again the author’s words not mine) is a shit move.
Esp since this ended with their lives being flipped on a dime wo their consent. So. This is not even close to being a true HFN. ❌

A truly phenomenal journey! This final book was everything I didnt know I needed and more. The climax was breathtaking, the fight so well written that I could feel what each of the Storms felt. The bond between the characters was so cemented, so sturdy and unbreakable, and just so damn sexy, that I wished to be a part of their world. There were twists and turns, shocks both good and bad, revelations that changed the game, and surprises that both made me smile and cry. The ending was the best, with an epilogue that gives me hope for more to come. Thank you Elle Middaugh for such an amazing journey!

I was so freaking excited for Perfect Storms to come out and it did not disappoint. Perfect Storms hit so many awesome points. Questions were answered and the ending gave me a happy! There were a few scenes that made me tear up (my dearest speedy ❤️) and a few where my heartbeat skyrocketed, leaving me on the edge of my seat the entire time. As always there was delicious steam throughout the whole book. On top of the fantastic ending, the Perfect Storms epilogue left me so excited for more in the future!
I loved this series so much!! Elle Middaugh did a wonderful job at creating a magical steamy world with characters you could care about and root for! I loved that the ending wasn’t cliche and left it open for more. This book is full of twists that were unexpected and love that endured. This book had all the things and left me both satisfied and wanting more. Great last book!!
Wow. Just wow! The emotional rollercoaster is so worth it! Love these characters so much, and I love the steamy times! So glad a certain someone got what he deserved! I do highly recommend this series!

OMG this is awesome! There is so much going on, it’s action packed and full of betrayal and surprises and every paranormal being under the sun!! I absolutely love Alexis and the Blackwood princes and their relationships and their hot and steamy scenes, phew!! Now Questions have been answered and that ending was just wow! What a fantastic conclusion to this series!
Amazing ending to an amazing series. So many hot scenes littered throughout the novel. A few mishaps along the way with the treacherous king. A must read to conclude the series!
Loved this series! Alexis and her Princes are awesome. The way the Storm King met his end was great. And everyone got their happy ending!! Elle does not disappoint. Looking forward to the new series.
This book was amazing! I love Alexis! The way she loves her men is amazing! The way The storm king’s death was just aS amazing and painful as I wanted it to be. Love the series!
Loooove this series! This was one wild ride from beginning to end. I love the group dynamic and how much the love each other! Perfect ending to a great series!
WOW! I don't how Elle does it, but she outdid herself AGAIN. Perfect Storms was the best book yet!
There's so many plot twists and so much action that you get totally sucked into this world. It definitely sends this series out with the final salute it deserves! Also, I can't leave out the steamy scenes. Holy Hades...they are hot and heavy and totally panty-melting. You don't want to miss this book - and the entire series! What are you waiting for?
Another king have taken the eye of the sea in attempt to open up the underworld. Alexis and the storm princes were unable to keep/save the eye from the evil hands of the king. Now, what they have to do is to stand against the kings and start their own revolution. Currently, they stayed at Rob's South Blackwood. Knowing that Alexis secretly married Rob, Dan and Ben, the storm king have killed their mother. But, Criss suddenly had an idea. Maybe he and Rob can use their magic and bring the queens back to life. Would this succeed? At the same time, Alexis wanted to find Tia, the prince's sister, daughter of the first Queen Frans. and for her to side/help them against the king. Will they find Tia and will Tia accept their offer?
With time, the prince's allies have arrived, and the prince/princess of other countries have gathered to help. With certain events, all he princes and princess wanted to "overthrown" the crown and do that is the best for their country instead of fighting for pride, and these kings/Queen ultimately gave up their throne whether wanted or not. Now the only one left is the storm King who is constantly being influenced by the War god. And Dion the party god have no reply about Zeus's action, so Alexis wanted to go to Zeus to take the war god away and save Blackwood. Would they succeed?
Overall this is a great series. I love Alexis and the storm brothers. They are hilarious, silly, determined, serious and just..... Anyhow, it is filled with tension, actions, emotions, laughs, cries, RH romance, steam with plot and a good place. The character's ultimately reach a HEA I suppose, but they are suppose to enter the Academy of the God! Which I can not wait to read! Really recommended if this looks like their cake or if it sounds interesting to you!
I have loved this series from book one and this final book was absolutely perfect. The romance was beautifully done, the scenes were hot and the story just grew into epic proportions with an amazing ending. Alexis is just a spectacular heroine and in this final instalment we got to see how much of a queen she is becoming. The princes were just mesmerising in their quest to help their people, protect who they can and love Alexis with everything they have. I loved seeing them together and how they've become so close and so much more than brothers... They've made a family. The addition to the gods involvement in the story was a great aspect and with all the other characters we've met over the series coming together.... Beautiful! What a ride that Elle has taken us on. It's sad to say goodbye to these characters but hopefully we'll see more from then in the future. What a privilege to read such an exciting and mindblowing book. Epic finish for an epic story!
OMG! This was a fantastic ending. I am so sad to see it end! Alexis and her guys were just wonderful characters that had so much depth and personality to them. Every single one of these books were interesting and full of action and will never lack luster. Usually the middle books are the ones that don’t have much push to them but this is not the case with this series. Just amazing world building and so intriguing. I absolutely adored every character that was on the good side. But even the villains were interesting in their mindset. I love how there’s not exactly an ending but shows that Alexis and her guys has more to go and to learn. Everyone got their justice. I love how whenever something really anticlimactic happen Alexis and her princes would literally say my thoughts out loud in the story. Although I have to say it, out of all of the proposals chapter 23 was my favorite. It was just so romantic and hilarious. Elle Middaugh you rock!
Oh how I adore Elle Middaugh and all she writes! My oh my this book was PACKED with all kinds of craziness, reveals, betrayals, family time, psychotic kings and queens, and love conquering all. I think it safe to say that our faves Alexis and the Blackwood princes went through the most in this book. Tons of action and all kinds of goodies take place, and quite a few appearances by the gods which is extremely interesting. This conclusion of the series definitely gives the reader satisfaction regarding what Alexis and the guys have endured this entire time, however.... Suffice to say we're also blessed at a glimpse of the new spin-off series to come. I for one can't wait!!!! I'm sooooooo looking forward to more god time. The countdown has started....
I loved most of this series. I loved the adventure I seriously got really tired of Chrissen honestly. I understood the need for him in earlier books to save their lives and the author had no choice but to keep him because of the permanent magical bond. But there were so many times he was not mentioned when the other guys were, and when he was it was so inconsequential it seemed forced. His whole character was unnecessary and because of that I couldn't connect with him. I was disappointed that sex made up the bulk of this installment since it was the final book. Also the ending was lame...one it was anticlimactic how the Storm king died, and that they brought him back over and over to kill him as some warped therapy. It just didnt resonate true to their characters. All in all I would still recommend this series.
It was for sure a story filled with action. Preparations for war. Heartache. Protecting others. Lots of magic. Gods. Wicked games. Lots of sexy steamy times, honestly I needed to fan myself. And not only Storms did made a great move. Every neighboring country did have kind of revolution. And the most wonderful was that it was mostly deathless revolution. And the punishment Storms did inflicted on the King, was definitely wicked, also disturbing, but mostly wicked. All Ares’ plotting crumbled. I loved this book, it was amazing. Whole series was amazing. The plot - out of the world. The world (and universe) build - unique. Characters - to die for. This whole story did blow my mind. Completely out of breath read which kept me on the edge of my chair. It’s a must read.
5 stars for Perfect Storms by Elle Middaugh. This is the fourth and final book in the Storms of Blackwood series. Holy Amazeballs what an ending. “One way or another, the game is over. Change is coming. I am coming-and I promise, the world will never be the same once I’m done.” Revenge, Tension, and Passion are at an all time high in this book. Finally people are getting what they deserve. I loved every part of this story. The character’s relationship is finally where it needed to be. Christen, Asher, Ben, Calm Daniel and Rob are absolutely perfect in the most imperfect ways. The way Elle Middaugh built up this story was something she should be proud of. I felt like I was a part of this world, and every adventure they faced felt like my own. Truly great series.
This series was amazing! Absolutely loved it. Great character development, the Storm harem really works together to solve problems, and definitely have each other’s backs! It was sooo awesome that the COCKS alliance happened! Really glad that all the lands will now have peace during these new times, and not war. So glad that they were finally able to kill the king, but it was a very anticlimactic way for his ending. I was hoping for a big battle, but in the end, the kids get their revenge. AND WHAT IS UP WITH THAT ENDING?! Whyyy Zeus why 😂 I’m hoping that there’s a spin off for Camellia, Blane, Zane, and Rafe! 🤞🏼
This latest installment of the Storm series brought a long wonderful conclusion to the first part of the series. Happily there will be a spinoff with The Storms and other characters in Elle’s other series that looks to be very exciting and hopefully doesn’t take too long to release. The six Princes and Alexis all had their charm and specialties. The storyline was a page turner, wonderfully long and in-depth to fully emerge readers into this mesmerizing world. The rollercoaster action, surprises, hauntingly emotional investments and wonderfully orchestrated 🔥🔥🔥 scenes make this a series not to be missed.
I'm kind of at a loss of words. Where should I start? This book was amazing. I feel in love with Alexis and her princes's story since I first read Taken by the Storm. After that, it took me less than a week to re-read it, and here we are. To the last book in the series (hopefully we'll be surprised with some more). It has been a journey, since first Alexis got her powers to the last fight to defeat the king. And if you thought things couldn't get better, you were mislead. This book has so many fights, plot twists and hot scenes that you wish it will never end!!!
Why are you even reading the reviews when you could already be on the second chapter?
Wow! Such an amazing ending to an amazing series! Absolute adored this book! It was able to wrap up all lose ends and give the reader exactly what they were looking for! Now I won’t go into any more detail as we don’t want spoilers 😉 because seriously I don’t know why your still reading this read the book! It’s a must do and won’t disappoint!
This series pulled me in in the first chapter of the first book I couldn’t get enough I read the whole series in a day and let me say my mind is blown I loved everything about it the twist and turns the relationships everything about this series is great I highly recommend if you are into reverse harems fae werewolves vampires zombies etc there is a little of everything
Jewel and her Harem are quite unique. They are irrevocably in love and beyond devoted to one another. The question remains, is that enough?
This tale is one of a kind with it's magical world and abundant wit. It'll leave you in stitches at times and fuming at others, not to mention hot and bothered. I mean really, there are 7 of them. Can't wait for the next series!
