The last hope falls. The super dreadnaught Atlas has returned from the dead, but something has gone very, very wrong.
As it arrives over the skies of the AIC homeworld, terrorists unleash panic in the streets below.
Soon, the Atlas commences an attack on the civilian population with devastating effect.
As the scope of the attack - and the truth of what is behind it - becomes clear, panic spreads among the colonies and Earth alike.
Can anything stop the destruction before it’s too late?
Star Fallen, the fourth book in the Oblivion series, is a high-octane, action-packed blast that will leave military science fiction fans hungry for more!
This space soap opera has run it course for me. Too many loose ends and too much ignoring of basic science. Science fiction is supposed to push the boundaries of science of course as well as provide a good story to hold things together. This series started pretty good but the cliff hanger aspect of each ending has left me behind.
The fight over the AIC home world by the Obsidian aliens shapeless, the UEF and the AIC fighters on the surface, in the atmosphere and in the space surrounding was non-stop from the first page to the last. Ben Saito is looking for his father, Captain Lee Saito, but finds only the Shapeless shell that looks and sounds like his father. The real Lee Saito is alive, captured, and endlessly probed for answers to questions he doesn't know he has. In an endless confusing stream of human-shapeless-Obsidian-AIC-UEF fighting to the Abyss/death. The characters are great when you know who or what they are. The storyline is a confusing mash of who-is-this and what the heck is going on! My mind is twisted and turned by the goals and purposes of the charscters. I hope the next book in this series answers some of my questions! This is a good read.
Received as an ARC, this an honest review. The war between the AIC and the UEF is now an open, devastating struggle and the world of Vassar 1 is being burned into ruin, slaughtering millions along with it. The Shapeless malicious campaign inches ever closer to complete victory; but for Ben, Ada, Tomas and rest that can resist fight to find the technology that will turn the shadowy tide that will engulf them if they do nothing to stop it; even if it’s a suicide mission- death is better than to be enslaved. The bone-chilling, adventurous series continues its haunting journey, gripping any reader that starts it. Absolutely, highly recommended.
Ben and his merry crew are back fighting the good fight. This time the story was even more packed with adventure and madness and Ben and his friends fight to win. New and old friends are also present. I loved the secrets that are revealed this time. I was hooked from the beginning as usual and kept reading until the end just to see what would happen next. And I was not disappointed at all. A great addition to the series that keeps me guessing and reading until the end. I loved it like the rest of the series.
This 4th book in the series continues along the path set by the previous books. Non-stop action with the aliens mostly having the upper hand, but they don't have it all their own way. Some previously minor characters play very important roles... and not everyone gets out alive. Really looking forward to the continuation of this engaging space opera saga. I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest and voluntary review.
This fourth book in the series brings its share of new twists and turns as Ben and his friends do their best to fight the aliens. There is lots of action to keep the reader riveted, wondering what happens next and whether everyone can get through it alive. I found it very hard to put down and really enjoyed the story. I’m looking forward to the next book. I received an advance copy and wound up buying a copy to support these great authors.
book 4 of the Star fallen series continues with the fast non stop action of the previous books. A well written book with a continuing story line that keeps you gripped from start to finish You can read this as a stand alone book but you will get more from it if you read the previous books first. Looking forward to the next in the series.
Wow the overlay of action is intense and all interlinked. This is really well written, it carries the story effortlessly and leaves you needing to know what happens next.
To many flash back dream sequences to know if you are present, dream or past. Very confusing. This is slightly more sci- fi, but slight rewrite and we are super natural zombie dystopian
Fantastic! Lee Saito is alive - sort of. He's been taken by the Shapeless and is constantly being probed for information. Ben Saito is still reeling from the belief that his father is dead. Meantime, the fight against the Oblivion and the Shapeless continues on Vassar-1 where the team encounters the head of the political party and try to survive in their fights both on the streets and in the air. This is a fast-paced and wonderful book to read. Joshua James and Daniel Young have done it again. I can't wait to commence reading into the next book of this series.
**** SPOILER ALERT **** In "Star Fallen: Oblivion // Book Four" delivers another great story set in his "Oblivion" universe. I couldn't put this entertaining book down as Young's excellent world building and character development spread out before my eyes. I can hardly wait for book five to come put so that I can see what happens next in the saga. In the interest of transparency: I was given a review copy of this book and I am voluntarily sharing this review. It is my own honest opinion.
