Daija felt her happiness being ripped right out of her hands. It had happened once before, but this time she was bound to put up a fight. Especially when the only parent she had left was the one at stake. But she needed help. So when Vince seemed to come out of nowhere and offer to aid her, she took it. Even if it meant she’d have to work for him as his stripper. She’d do anything for her mother. But is she prepared for what Vince has in store for her?

Damn! So much for Daija trying to do the right thing and save the one parent she had left. Vince seemed so concerned only to finally show his true colors. He was beyond sick and I hope someone is able to finally give him a dose of everything he's taken Daija through. I felt bad for Daija because she was so trusting and willing to do whatever just to help her mother get better. Daija had a great support system once everything was out in the open. Stacy proved to be a true friend and the other strippers proved themselves as well. I'm curious to know just what thoughts may be going through Ty's head and if he realized just how far Vince would go just to get what he wants. I hope Daija gets a sense of peace before things begin to take a different turn. The stripper chronicles was a good read but I sure wish it was longer. #KNL
This was an interesting read. Diana was a very strong willed person who shows just how far that she will go in order to take care of her mom. She refused to let her mom go out the way her dad did. I don't know if I could have done what she did though. Vince was a slime ball of a snake. I hope that he gets what he deserves in part 2. I really like Stacy. She is the definition of a true friend. That ending left me with my mouth hanging open. I did not see that coming.
This book started off to a good start for the characters. Then as the story went on I was like DAMN life sucks in this book. Lol!!! I love the book it was well written. I liked how the women in the book weren't your average chick in a urban book! The really looked out for each other. Great read!!!
TRUE PAGE TURNER...THIS BOOK SHOWED HOW FAR A DAUGHTERS LOVE WILL GO FOR HER MOTHER. DAIJA DID EVERYTHING SHE COULD TO TAKE CARE OF HER MOTHER. STACY WAS A GREAT FRIEND. VINCE NEEDS A TASTE OF HIS OWN MEDICINE AND I HOPE HE GETS IT. I DIDN'T EXPECT THAT ENDING BUT IM LOOKING FOR MORE. #KNL
This book was really good. The story of Daisja's mom's illness was so relatable. Scherer never asked for a thing but yet she got it. I am looking forward to reading part two.
I couldn't put this book down until I was finished, poor little Dai she had been thru so much. I can't wait to read part 2 and see how the rest of the story unfolds.
This was an ok read. I loved Daija. She was a very strong person. She was spoiled beyond measure, her mom showed her loved the best way they knew how. But what happens when your mom get sicks and you loose your job immediately after.. She did what she had to do to help her sick mom. I knew that dang Vince was no good.. Ugh I wanted to slap the fire out of him... I'm glad her bestie was there, true ride or die!! . I'm wondering who the familiar face was, lol I think it was David..
That was an interesting read it started off a little slow but turned out to a good read. Man Daija couldn't win for losing. I am glad that she a has her girl now this Vince guy I just don't like. And I need to find out what's up with Ty I will be ready for part 2
Besides the editing mistakes, the book was missing something for me, as if more substance was needed. It started off slow in the beginning and got to the end too fast. I felt for Daija, though.
I like how Daija does whatever she has to do for her mother's sake& life. With her friends supporting her& her mom, there's that one person who's trying to bring her down.
