Author Jon Meacham has said, "Religious belief, like history itself, is a story that is always unfolding, always subject to inquiry and ripe for questioning. For without doubt there is no faith." Dr. Israel Drazin takes those concepts to heart and is always questioning his core belief system with concise and fascinating books that unpeel the layers of the bible to get to the kernel of the original idea. Informative, succinct, and at times controversial, he thoroughly explores the hows and whys of religion. He is able to take concepts and show how they apply to modern life enabling them to keep their relevance. Engaging read.
