“I’ve been a fan of William Nikkel since his first Jack Ferrell story—but ‘Hostile Waters’ was pure dynamite, a blast of big-fisted action, a rollicking treasure hunt involving Mayan treasures and lost rare manuscripts. If you’re looking for adventure with a capital A, pick this up, batten down those hatches, and get ready for a great read!” —James Rollins, #1 New York Times bestseller of Crucible
After a three-week sojourn sailing the Hawaiian Islands, marine biologist Jack Ferrell and freelance recovery specialist Cherise Venetta decide it is time to return to reality. For Jack that means buying a boat to replace the one destroyed in Waikiki. For Cherise it means finding out why an old friend needs her help.
Together with his buddy Robert, Jack flies to Key West to purchase a yacht that’s too good of a bargain to pass up. Twelve hundred miles north, Cherise learns that her friend’s father disappeared while on a Caribbean cruise.
So begins a high-stakes charade that brings Jack and Cherise together in a deadly ruse to stop a brother and sister team of con artists from killing again. And this time, Jack’s the bait.
William Nikkel is the author of four Jack Ferrell novels and a steampunk, zombie western featuring his latest hero Max Traver. Mystery, adventure, intrigue, suspense, characters you'll like, characters you'll hate, Florida and Caribbean locales. This well-written story has them all.
William Nikkel has outdone himself by making Jack Ferrell hit down and dirty in this adventure. He is starting to be more serious and live and live has a greater meaning. Good read!!!
