Felicity Brandon has a way with words and creating scenes that absolutely entice the reader to eagerly begin a story and then frantically continue until the very end---and then wish it could have continued forever. These three prequels are stunning, enticing and erotic.
We begin by watching a shy young girl fall in love with an experienced older man. Their love was full of Dominance and submission and satisfaction for both. Lily craves what Ethan so willingly demands. And, Ethan thrives in her love.
This is a beautifully written dark romance that was impossible for me to put down.

Not sure
I am not to sure about this series. Conner is one sick a**hole. I don't care how good looking you are, he is f**ked up. Makes me wonder what the authors are into, to come up with books like this. Molly has a few screws loose also. I almost stopped reading not long after he kidnapped Molly. Sorry I just didn't think the story would be this sick. To each their own I guess.

I really wanted to like this story. I like dark romance. It starts out with a nice scene of the H kidnapping the h. But then it goes into major forced pet play. And not a little bit. It is the major plot of the book. Not my thing.
I thought the writing was quite slow and repetitive. I am not reading past the first book, and I forced myself to skim that, hoping it would get better. It didn't.

Not a romance book - DNF
While this author has given the reader a lot of explicit physical scenes, none of them are rooted in traditional like, lust or love. I did not get anything close to a romance read.
In my opinion, this is a dark, psychological story that contains torture, terrifying mental abuse and physical denigrating at the hands of a damaged man. To me, this should not be considered a BDSM read.
While the writing is competent and the readability is good, the descriptions and situations made me cringe and squirm, and I did not enjoy the read. I pushed to get done with the first book, and did not finish the other two. I can only hope she gets a HEA, but I could not make myself find out, and may not have believed it anyway.
Someone else may enjoy this series. It is just not me.

The trilogy is dark, sensual, and deliciously intense, leaving my heart pounding, wondering what will be next. The storyline is riveting, suspenseful, unpredictable, gritty, hot, and utterly gratifying. Felicity Brandon has broken boundaries with her phenomenal character development. Conner is highly complex, to some degree, psychopathic, and the definition of anti-hero. Molly is the perfect woman for him, ultimately taming the untamable.
Peter Kenyon did an excellent job with the narration, capturing the nuances of the characters' personalities along with the chemistry. The Dark Necessities is a well-written and riveting dark romance, one I highly recommend.

OMG! This series starts off by grabbing my attention and luring me into a sensual BDSM capture fantasy. How will Molly react to being chained and powerless, to experiencing humiliation and degradation? Will she resist, or will she capitulate? This series is way more than a roller coaster ride; it is a tornado from which I may never recover!

Absolutely loved this!
I absolutely loved this boxed trilogy! All the dark depravity, the suspense, the hotness and wickedness, I loved it all! It came together in one hot , juicy trilogy! Please be aware of the trigger warnings before starting this one! If you love dark kidnapping bdsm novels, then this trilogy is definitely for you!

This is a great trilogy, you do have to read in order. This is a dark romance and does contain stalker/obsession, kidnapping, dominance/submission. I really enjoyed this book, it sucks you in like you are there! I loved the characters and their story.

This one is really DARK! Definitely not for the faint of hearts!!!
But if you’re into dark and twisted…. You’d enjoy it. Not going to lie some parts were really hard to read! Specifically the degradation…. Kind of hard to stomach.
But I find myself going back to this Audible anytime I’m in the mood for something really dark.

I loved reading this thrilling dark romance. My reviews are for each part of the trilogy.
Taken-An interesting dark romance that is the start of Connor and Molly's long journey. This tale is only for readers who enjoy very dark thriller romances as Connor trains Molly to be his captive pet. This tale is well written with a story line that captures your attention and keeps you reading. As this tale ends on a cliffhanger I can't wait for the next part of their story. This is my honest opinion
Tamed-A surprising dark romance that is advancing Connor and Molly's developing relationship. Molly is starting to have feelings for her captor even though he is a sadistic monster. There are lots of emotions and surprises in this second part of the trilogy and I recommend it as great for readers who enjoy dark romances. This is my honest opinion of this story and I can't wait to read the final installment.
Entwined-A fascinating and compelling conclusion to Molly and Connor's dark romance. It is well written with great characters that leap off the page and capture your attention immediately. I found the entire book and trilogy very entertaining. I highly recommend these stories if you like to read dark erotic romances. This is my honest opinion

You have all three in one book now! Just a warning, this isn’t for the faint of heart. It is dark dark. If your easily offended or not into pet play and dark Dominant things, go read something else. This is fiction and is an exciting read that will keep you flipping those pages.

This is so so good and prepare yourself for darkness and complete submission Ethan is not an easy man to please he's a sexy serial killer and then we have sweet innocent Lily who craves his dominance and gives her submission as she enters into his world and he thrives of all things Lily. This consumes you and you might not agree with all things Ethan but he is who he is and maybe you can accept him or not he's not an easy man and will push all boundries.

This audio of all three books in Dark Necessities series, is an intense rendition of a long, compelling series. With Connor and Molly on a long, incredible journey to find themselves, and each other, we travel with them via the narration of Peter Kenyon. Their 'love' affair has faced so much, not least of which was Connor's past and Molly's impulse to please. Both need to be more, if there is to be any hope of a future.
I enjoyed this audio very much, though there were times, especially at the start, that I was not totally convinced by the narrator who could be a bit 'shouty' for me. I settled in as I got deeper into the story and was heartened to see Molly become stronger. A good listen 💖💖💖💖
