A friend recommended this book to me. When I read Just annoying I thought it was going to be boring with lame jokes and such. But it turns out it was actually hilarious and exciting in some ways. This book is about a kid named andy that is a ten year old who likes to annoy anyone he can, whenever he can. Sometimes his sister, sometimes his friends and sometimes his parents. The way he annoys people makes the whole book a comedy. I think that Andy Griffiths did a fantastic job of getting the reader hooked and never wanting to leave. This book is a book with little short separate stories about how he annoys people. Most of the time it is about kevin but sometimes his sister cindy is involved. If you love funny stories then this is for you. I would recommend this book to either boy or girl almost any age but probably not adults. You need to read this book if you want to know what Andy and his sister will do next.

Review: I think this book is okay. I gave it 3 stars because students would love this book, but I just feel as if boys read this book they will get ideas and it could create some behavioral problems. The artistic elements that are created on the side of the page give and add in to the texts on the page. So I like the book for students and young children to read on their own however I would not make it a book that I recommend kids to read.

Summary: Through this story, it's about a pesky little kid, Andy, who is just really bugging to bother someone so he chooses first to go after his sister. She is about ready to kill him when he keeps mocking her but he has one more big surprise for her which is going to the school dance just to terrorize her. He goes to annoy her and she is fed up. After this they have dinner discussion and he just wants to bug his parents asking questions and mocking them. He wants to be the most annoying kid ever so he then goes to annoy and mock his friends.

Oh my goodness if this wasn't the greatest series written for middle grade kids who want to be endlessly entertained then I don't know what is. These books are the most fantastic, imaginative, gross and wonderful stories, not to mention the illustrations! The book is filled with flip pictures, other smaller stories of cartoons across the pages and it is just SO entertaining. I have never laughed so much reading anything in my life, and despite being about twelve or so when I did read them all, I'm sure they'd still make me laugh just as hard now. Do your kids and yourself a favour and get hold of them all!

Simon said something to me the other day that reminded me of this book, which I liked a lot as a kid. Found it at the library and figured I’d see how it holds up, and it’s actually pretty fun! I remembered a couple of the stories, especially the shower one, which remains my favorite. Author does a great job portraying kids’ actual thought processes, though of course he takes it to the extreme.

A collection of a few dumb stories aimed at kids, not bad but some of them sure are annoying.

This review is based more on the first three books than this one in particular... When I read the first three "Just" books, I expected them to be fun like Griffiths "The Day My Butt Went Psycho," but they were a bit too zany and unrealistic for me, especially the second one. Personally, they were very hard for me to get into. To be fair, that is the point of this series. I'm sure kids younger me when I read it in middle school would enjoy this series more.

A collection of humorous short stories that really are just annoying in nature. There aren't a lot of laughs to be had, as the stories are too mature sometimes for kids but too immature for adults. They lack any real storytelling, the characters are very irritating, and the jokes don't always land. Feels like a waste of time rather than a good read...

Reading this book made me feel two things about Andy; I'm either in awe or I pity the kid. He's intelligent and he gets into all kinds of mischief but sometimes things get way out of hand that he's practically a walking danger. A real page turner, this book made me laugh out loud.

Still holds up.

Showering with Andy and The Last Jaffa are just two all-time stories - can’t imagine any other ‘Just’ book coming close to this one for that reason but I will make my way thru them all and then decide maybe

I read this to my kids, ages 6, 8, and 10 and they absolutely loved it. Their favorites were "Wish You Weren't Here", "Imaginary Friends", and "Swinging on the Clothesline". We had a lot of good laughs reading this.

Tof boek met verschillende verhalen! De tekeningen onderaan de pagina's maken het boek heel aantrekkelijk voor kinderen die niet zo graag lezen.

The short story 'In the Shower with Andy' is the classic of classics regarding the Just! Series. Just Annoying is iconic, and rating this any less than 5 stars is just not on.

My kid just discovered this new series from the creators of the Treehouse series. It’s the same puerile slapstick humour as the Treehouse series, but dialed up (there’s more text than visuals in this series). So if your kids enjoy the Treehouse series, they’ll probably love it. If, as a parent, you find the Treehouse series annoying, another little bit inside of you might shrivel up when you try reading this. I also feel that Andy’s disobedience and antics might encourage some kids to think this sort of behavior is ok.

The sequel to Just Joking- Just Annoying really lives up to its name. Andy is a boy whose favorite habit is pulling pranks on people or doing anything to just annoy them. I liked the second book much more than the first one.

The stories that I liked were 'Are we there yet?', 'Wish you weren't here', 'Copycat from Ballarat', 'Imaginary friends', 'Would you rather?' and 'The last Jaffa'. That's a whole lot more stories that I liked when compared to the first book, which must say a lot about it.

The jokes in this book weren't as immature or as disgusting as the ones in the first book. In Just Annoying, Andy does his 'normal' stuff (that a serious kid prankster would normally do) and in the process, annoys many people. In this book, Andy annoys his family by asking pointless questions, dresses up as a girl to annoy Jen, makes up his own imaginary friend, tries to fill up the entire shower stall by plugging the drain and many more.

If you're looking for a fast and kind of funny read, this book could very well entertain you. I think the main factor why so many people find it funny is because these situations could very well happen in real life or they've experienced doing one or more of these things and the book just brought back memories of their crazy days. I know I've tried at least 4 things in this book!

Just Annoying is about Andy Griffiths, who is a prankster. Everybody thinks that he is really annoying (because he annoys them with pranks). He also does all kinds of crazy stuff- Andy jumps from a running motorcycle into his father's car, makes imaginary friends, turns his bathroom into a swimming pool, etc.
During reading this book I made a text-to-world connection. I have seen the series about Andy Griffiths. The show is exactly the same as the book. It's really funny and entertaining.
I give this book because I like how it is funny and then it becomes "sad" for the character because he gets caught doing a prank. I would recommend this book to people that like funny, entertaining books.

OMG. I read this book ages ago. I don't remember heaps, to be honest, I might've gotten some of the stories muddled up in the other Just books.

What I can say is that: I loved this book. Or well, specifically the whole series. I wanted to read all the books that my school library had, which was quite a lot.

From what I can remember, it's filled with ridiculous scenarios that you can either scrunch your nose at and think how stupid it is, or laugh your ass off, wanting more.

(I'm the latter :))

I am reading this entire series to my children and they are absolutely loving it. Andy is hilarious as a character and my husband has even taken to listening to storytime and is laughing almost as much as the kids are. I must admit that I sometimes struggle not to laugh while reading. My favourite story was 'In the shower with Andy'. I admit I did snort while laughing at this tale. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series. I rate it a 3.5 stars, but am sure it would be closer to 5 if you asked my children.

So pretty much (Just Annoying) contains nine short storys in it such as (The Last Jaffa) where Andy, the main charter is at the movies and searchs for the last peace of his favorite candy and gets into all sorts of trouble while trying to find it, but a few of the storys in this book are sort of boring like one where andy does nothing but swing on the close line, but over all I thank that it is a pretty good book.

Just Annoying by Andy Griffiths

Andy (Is it coincidence that this book's main character has the same name as the author?) bugs people. His dad. His mom. His sister. Friends. Neighbors. Just about everybody, actually.

I could see this book would be very, very popular among the children at my school. Especially among those who like to annoy others. I suppose I must acquire a copy of it for my school library.

A 1001 CBYMRBYGU.
