The Supernatural Spy Files #2

Confessions of a Wicked Fae

Rate this book
My normal life as a fae royal guard doesn’t feel so normal anymore. It hasn’t since I met my mate, the cocky, seductive King of the Court of Wraiths.

My search for a way to undo the prophecy has come up empty. I’m still as destined as ever to kill Lugh one day. That’s why I’ve kept my distance.

Until now. He needs my help. And I can’t turn him down. A new threat looms in the Edinburgh streets. If we don’t stop it, my mate-murdering prophecy will be the least of our worries.

Lugh could lose his very soul. And if that ever happens, there will be nothing to stop him from unleashing the nightmare wraiths from the darkest part of Faerie.

The mortal realm will never survive.

This is the second book in this installment of Moira’s adventures. She’s a side character in another series by this author, but you really don’t need to have read that one to enjoy this one. You should anyway, though. I dived right into the action of the book, and I had a hard time putting it down. This author has consistently written great characters, interesting plots, and well-written books. I am a little disappointed that I think this is the last book in the series because of how it ended (no spoilers!), but it was a wild ride to the end. Recommend even if I am peeved this is probably the last one! LOL! I received a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

Just like the first book this was full with excitement, twists and turns, danger, love and saving the world. I love all the characters in the book, it is so beautiful as all of them are ready to sacrifice themselves for eachother. The ending was very surprising for me, just for that I highly recommend to read the book :)

That was fast

I'm just a bit surprised this ended when it did. I truly enjoyed the story, I love how Moira fought for
Lugh, I just expected...more.

Wolfhart is an exceptional writer, so we're good on that front.

Fast read, HEA. All tied up in a bow.

Good Ending to the aseries

This book is the end of the Moira storyline. We see how her relationship with Lugh progresses and find out who is after Lugh. The story is well written and moves along at a very good pace. It was a fun read and I would recommend it.

The ending on this one kind of threw me. It says that this is the second in a trilogy, but this one ended like it was the end of the series.

Just as fast paced and full of adventure as the first book. That ending was something else though.

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

Book two in Moira's adventures and she is still fighting her mate bond die to the prophecy of Lugh dying by her hand. He needs her help in an official capacity though which places them in close proximity whether they like it or not. As the danger increases so does their control which makes for a great story I must say as you never know what is going to happen next. A fantastic adventure none the less. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.

*Thoughts*

Confessions of a Wicked Fae is the second installment in author Jenna Wolfhart's The Supernatural Spy Files. Protagonist Moira Talmhach opens the story by hunting for a Druid seer named Caer who once told her that once she found her fated mate, she would end up killing him. Welp, as you know if you've read by review for the first book, that would be Lugh from the Court of Wraiths which is filled with outcasts, runaways, former criminals and the homeless.
