Andrea, a Brigham Young University graduate, is an avid reader and outdoor enthusiast (hiking, fishing, boating, biking, spending time in the Rocky Mountains, and taking walks). She spent a year and a half serving the Spanish speaking community in Toronto, Canada, and fluently speaks 2 ½ languages. She plays several instruments, not including the banjo, and loves putting together musical arrangements. Her favorite sports are basketball and football, though several knee surgeries and incurably awful coordination prevent her from playing them.
Andrea is always in the mood for a good movie with close friends and family (especially her husband and mom), with a large glass of milk and a bowl of overly buttered popcorn nearby. She also enjoys oil painting, making earrings, squeezing every bit of oxygen out of Ziploc bags, and she hopes to someday travel to Italy and Alaska.
Twilight Rogue is the third book in the Midnight Chronicles series. You should not read this as a standalone book. If you do, you will be confused. There is violence and use of magic. I love this series and seeing events through Abel's pov. I love how the Russell's have become more involved too. Can't wait for the next book!
Amazing third book in an intriguing series. Abel will do whatever it takes to save the two women he loves before anything bad happens. Will he accomplish his task. Don’t miss out.
We meet Abel continuing to evade and scheme his way out of loosing the two most important women in his life, one from his past and the other his future equally powerful enough for him to continue his deception to the monster who continues to control his life especially when life becomes more dangerous for Lizzie. He has to fight for her life as much as his own, taking over his time and concentration from where his thoughts should be as there is nothing he won’t do to save her and the future of many, seeing fractions that would normally never be in the same room let alone work towards a common cause. The shock of betrayal rocks their foundation but there’s more to come. Sorry I don’t want to leave any spoilers for the readers. This is where Andrea Pearson is at her best once again, with her imagination let loose in another world you can’t get out of as she completely grips you with her storylines and emotions. One thing I will say is I have loved reading about Abel’s story, his life & suffering especially when he was always an enigma with his mysterious disappearances, how heartless & stotic we all thought he was, but apart from his incarceration we knew of, there was nothing else he would give away. Until his heart was given to a hot blooded, tempered most fiercely caring woman he has even known. This an action packed series worth reading weather physical, emotional or thought provoking and a 100% trait of Andrea Pearson, an author I have read for years without disappointment, not because I’m being a fan girl but because I love the fantasy, paranormal, mysterious & suspenseful genres and have been stolen from my reality and lost in hers, joining each and every book and character that has been created by this creative author
I love the way this author intertwines her series. Both Abel and Lizzie originated in The Mosaic Chronicles. Lizzie went on to her own series, The Koven Chronicles and now, this is the third book in Abel’s series, The Midnight Chronicles. Of course each of the series can be read independent of the others but Lizzie and Abel’s series run parallel to one another and each greatly enhances the other. They are definitely characters you’ll want to follow!
Abel is a servant of the Shadow Prophet, not by choice though. The Shadow Prophet has his mother and regularly tortures her and threatens her life to force Abel to do his bidding. Able has had enough. He is determined to free his mother without fulfilling his contract. He can’t face killing more innocents, especially not Lizzie and Eleanora, his final two targets.
He hasn’t been able to find a way yet to eliminate the Shadow Prophet on his own. Now he enlists help from both the Russells and Eleanora to help him find the means to succeed.
Abel would like to be honest with Lizzie about his life, the terrible things he has been forced to do but he is afraid she will hate him for his past. Can he continue to protect Lizzie, help her eliminate the hounds while keeping his secrets and still reach his goal of eliminating his tormentor? Do two such different people really have a chance for a future together?
So often a book series will have a great beginning and end, but then loses steam in the middle. Not this one! Twilight Rogue is the third book of the Midnight Chronicles and it’s absolutely fantastic. Two huge things happen that I was seriously not expecting and one of them changes absolutely everything I thought I knew. I love how Abel’s character, including his feelings under that seemingly emotionless exterior, is being developed through this series. The writing is excellent. It’s the kind of story that you just don’t want to put down and leaves you with a book hangover when you’re all done. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes urban fantasy. It’s even better if you’ve read Lizzie’s series first, but that’s not necessary (though I do recommend it).
This book is very well written but I would expect nothing less from this author. Abel continues to look for a way to get out of his contract to assassinate Lizzie and Eleanora. As he searches hither and yon, he finds several helpers. I’m glad he’s not alone in this anymore. I had heart palpitations as Abel and Lizzie finally kiss and profess their love for one another. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they have their HEA in the long run. I recognized some of the same scenes that were in Lizzie’s Koven Chronicles series. As we see it from Abel’s POV you’re eyes will open in understanding regarding what transpired and why. I highly recommend reading this book especially for the YA genre.
A page turner! Abel continues his quest for information about how to destroy the Shadow Prophet. He is amassing friends, including some unlikely ones, to help him do so, as his relationship with Lizzie deepens. He is still facing his dilemma – how to get out of killing Lizzie & his final “hit”, while still saving his mother. It didn’t seem like much had happened to move the plot along, although I was glued to the book – then I wrote my synopsis! A lot of pieces are moving into place, I think. Looking forward to the next book. I received a free copy of this book, with no obligation.
I love reading Andrea Pearson’s books. They’re virtually guaranteed to be fun. That’s certainly the case with her latest series, Midnight Chronicles, admits most recent addition, Twilight Rogue (Book 3). Abel is a superbly crafted character, and it’s a total blast following along as he takes on everything thrown at him. Great plot, story arc, characters and world building. What more could one ask for? Highly recommended.
I enjoyed reading this book, the interaction and chemistry between the characters of Molly and Theo is great, the storyline is entertaining and filled with action, and intrigue. I can't wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
It's just like coming home to an old friend; I can't get enough of Abel. His human-ness, conflicts of emotions, conflicts in his jobs. He is a well-rounded character, foibles and all. Abel must keep the two women he loves most alive and still seem to appease the Shadow Prophet, but can he really succeed? *I received a free eBook copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
A good continuation of the series, but I wish there was a little more recapping, since each book picks up right where the other left off, and I read a LOT of books in between.
Clean (which is SO hard to find in YA fantasy these days!) and it held my attention.
A Fantastic read that had me on the edge of my seat from the first to the last page. The Author has done a fantastic job at the world building and this series I love how the scenes are written so well that you can picture them as you read. I definitely recommend. Shauna Joesten
Riveting, keep you on the edge of your seat book! Ms. Pearson writes exciting stories and this one is no different. Abel and Lizzie are still trying to save the world. Abel goes a little further and tries to save Lizzie. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
I didn't want this book to end so fast! I'm looking forward to reading, Raven Huntress. Abel is a many faceted character., and I am eager to get to know him better.
So good. Action-packed with a sweet romance. I have enjoyed each book in this series and this one was no exception. I am excited for the next one and hoped it was the final boo, however, I have just discovered there are a possible three more to this series. SO I will see where Andrea takes it.
I really enjoy reading this series. Abel has to be one of my favorite main characters in any series. After everything he has been through, he is still willing to go through so much more. And although he has done some bad things in the past, he is really trying to make up for it.
Able keeps getting pulled in multiple directions. He is getting more clues about the Shadow Prophet, but they come at great expense. He is also finding new problems along the way.
