She fought him. He claimed her anyway.

Ruari of Clan Dundalk knew Arielle was his mate as soon as he set eyes on her, but he had planned to court her properly. When she arrives in his lands as an uninvited stowaway, however, he decides it is time for this beautiful, headstrong female to be taught her place over his knee.

As she is led to her new mate's castle naked, blushing, and sore, with only a sheet to hide her helpless arousal, Arielle's fury at being bared and spanked is exceeded only by her desperate need to be thrown to the ground and ravaged by the brute who just punished her so shamefully.

She won't have to wait long...

Publisher's Note: Wolflord is a stand-alone novel set in the same world as Warlord and Overlord. It includes spankings and sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don't buy this book.

As a USA Today bestselling romance author, Delta James aims to captivate readers with stories about complex heroines and the dominant alpha males who adore them. For Delta, romance is more than just a love story; it’s a journey with challenges and thrills along the way.

After creating a second chapter for herself that was dramatically different than the first, Delta now resides in Florida where she relaxes on warm summer evenings with her loveable pack of basset hounds as they watch the birds, squirrels, and lizards. When not crafting fast-paced tales, she enjoys horseback riding, hiking, and white-water rafting.

Her readers mean the world to her, and Delta tries to interact personally with as many messages as she can. If you’d like to chat or discuss books, you can find Delta on Instagram, Facebook, and in her private reader group https://www.facebook.com/groups/34898....

I'm not rating this because by now I know what I'll get when I read a Delta James book. TBH, I keep reading for the same reasons people can't turn away from the proverbial car accident: I'm fascinated by how much further she pushes the misogyny envelope with each book.

For those of you who are fans of this author (and she has many) or who are looking for a book with very detailed sex and spanking scenes (of which there are many) without caring too much about the story, then you don't need to continue reading this. I'm leaving my review for those who've never read a Delta James book before and might want more information than "sex and spankings" before making their decisions. For new prospective readers, I do want to warn you that the brief disclaimer -- as well as other reviewers' noting that there are "dub-con" and "non-con" (which, btw, means "rape," but they can't bring themselves to say that word, for some odd reason), and dominant/submissive relationships -- doesn't describe explicitly what that means in Ms. James' world. So, let me explain in more detail...

First of all, the punishments are more than spankings -- they often include very intense public humiliation (the men call it "humbling;" this distinction is lost on me). In the first book in this series, Warlord: A Dark Shifter Romance, for example, Alaric makes Rowan, the former well-respected and competent leader of the pack who he has waged war on and dethroned, ride back to her castle hanging over his horse, naked; this is after he has beaten and fingered her in front of her packmates. The humiliation continues here when Alaric deliberately stares at Arielle, his sister-in-law, while she's standing naked in a corner after having been punished. For me, this was beyond creepy and veered too close to incest for my comfort. It also, by the way, undermines the assertion that all this is supposed to be sexual since the women are frequently punished by men they aren't involved with.

Secondly, the dominance and submission really means that the men in these books look upon the women as less than simply because of their gender. Alaric decrees that women must wear dresses or skirts; this particular book opens with his refusing to let Rowan train with his men, even though she has proven herself a capable warrior in the past. Ruari won't let Arielle ride astride; she must ride sidesaddle. In addition, the men really only want two things from their women: sex and children (as Ruari says of Arielle, "She is also a virgin so will need to be introduced to lovemaking carefully, but will, I am sure, be an enthusiastic and responsive mate and will bear me many sons and daughters”). In other words, the ideology behind these men's actions is sexism. I'm not really sure how what I just described -- the obscenely traditional gender roles -- is supposed to be a kink or turn-on, but, there you go...

Thirdly, the sex is quite frequently rape ("you will take your vows. If you refuse to speak them, they will be forced from you"). Just so that you're clear about how these men approach sexual acts, here you go:
"She will most likely have her freshly spanked bottom on display and perhaps the proof of her lost virginity on the inside of her thighs. Once we have returned, Arielle will take her vows before I take her into seclusion and allow her to atone for her behavior in the way she-wolves have done for millennia,” Ruari said angrily.

“Don’t forget, your mate is still a maid,” started Bridget.

“And she has forfeited the right to expect any gentleness from me taking that prize."

Finally, while the men pay lip service to loving their women and claim that they just want to keep them safe ("Sometimes he’s a bit over the top, but it’s because he wants to make sure we’re safe"), this is often not true. In Overlord: A Dark Shifter Romance, for example, the H turns the h into a shifter against her will (she had been human), knowing the danger this poses for her; and, indeed, she almost dies because of his actions. He shows little concern for her, however, other than hoping she'll soon be well enough to have sex with again (as another reviewer very aptly remarked, "she almost died and all he can think about is when she will be well enough to take her. When he is given the okay he does, right there in her hospital bed"). And the example I gave above -- that Ruari doesn't care if he hurts the virgin Arielle -- is another case-in-point.

Now, it's true that there are HEAs in all these books. But, for me, they are artificial, unearned ones. At no time do these men do anything to earn these HEAs: they don't treat their women well (even if you like spankings, I warn you that they are often harsh and involve multiple implements: "The leather cut into her tender flesh and Arielle screamed. Again, he didn’t hold back or delay landing the next two weals across her derriere. Arielle began sobbing" -- all this because she ); they don't respect them (“Silent, mate. This is a conversation for men and you do not have the requisite parts”); and they don't value them ("And mine is the only opinion that counts") -- even if the female characters actually are pretty resourceful. Rowan assures her sister that "He also makes sure I know how very much he loves me," but, other than sex, I'm at a loss to see how he does that since he consistently denies her the right to be who she is (such as train for war) and wants to change her. And, indeed, Rowan goes on to speak only of orgasms ("the rapture to be found in your mate’s embrace"). They, again, pay lip service to caring for their mates (“Nothing is more pressing to me than your distress"), but when the women actually articulate their unhappiness, they ignore it (“You might have asked me. Shit, Gareth, you might have asked me about all of it,” she said angrily, wiping away the tears that continued to fall.“I did ask you; you refused me,” he said simply as if speaking to a child"). This is true for all the relationships in the three books in this series, though Ruari is somewhat less of a dictatorial ass than the previous two H's since he does, at least, admit this to Arielle at the end, .

If, after reading all this, you still want to read the book, well then, of course, go for it (I certainly don't mean to imply that you need my permission). If anything I said above gives you pause, however, then you probably won't enjoy this.

And because I'm tired of all the gatekeepers on this site attacking me for my reviews in particular for this author, I'm adding the below.

Dear Self-Appointed Gatekeepers on this Website,

Before you "flame" another reader for their review, I've provided this handy-dandy checklist of things you may want to consider first. Of course, free speech means that within the guidelines of this site you are free to ignore these suggestions, but, you may find that they will save you time and energy in the long run. So, without further ado...

I want to shame someone for their review. Before I do so, have I asked myself the following:

1) Would I, in turn, want to be shamed for my own feelings about this book/author/genre?

2) Does this review ruin my day, week, month, and/or life?

3) Does this review either prevent or call for preventing the author from writing, the publisher from releasing, Amazon from selling, Goodreads from listing, me or any other reader from reading, and/or me or any other reviewer from reviewing?

4) Does the publisher's blurb sufficiently warn a reader about what they will be getting? (One example reviewers often use is if the book contains non-consent, has the blurb indicated that it's "dark?" This very precise, non-ambiguous word, you see, is supposed to explain everything.)

5) Does this review make a distinction between kink (spanking and other BDSM practices) AND misogyny (the H thinks that he's superior to the h by virtue of his anatomy and preaches that the h is less than because of her gender)?

6) Does this review make a distinction between dominance/hurt (for example, the H ties the h up and sexually teases her) AND physical, emotional, and mental cruelty/harm (for example, the H plans to take the h brutally, even though she's never had sex)?

7) Is my stance that anything goes in fiction/this genre/erotica the hill I want to die on, knowing that I may read a book that contains homophobia, transphobia, racism, classism, abelism, antisemitism, islamophobia, xeonophobia, and/or misogyny that I find unpalatable? (Note: I, JD, am NOT saying that any of these -- other than the misogyny -- are present in this particular book.)

8) Is my stance that one should only leave good reviews the hill I want to die on, knowing that I may read a book -- even in the genre I love -- that I don't like?

9) Am I really objective or do I have any sort of vested interest in this book/author/genre? That is: am I an ARC reviewer who may be swayed by the promise of a free book? Am I "friends" with this author IRL, on this site, or any social media site? Am I a fellow author (or even the author themselves) who has hosted this writer on my website and, in turn, been hosted on theirs? Am I a subscriber to any of the publishing companies who regularly release these books?

10) Do I really want to direct vitriol at a complete stranger who has never done anything to me in any way, shape, or form?

11) Do I really want to waste my time attacking this review via comments or not-so-implicitly referring to it in my own review knowing this reader is unlikely to desist from reviewing or change their reviews?

If you can answer numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, (the first part of) 9, 10, and 11 in the affirmative, and numbers 5 and 6 in the negative, then, by all means, flame and shame. It's your time to waste (see #11).

ETA: Calling other reviewers who don't rate books as highly as you'd like them to "morons" and "cry babies" as another reviewer did recently is probably not the best way to go about it.

2nd ETA: This is NOT BDSM; BDSM does NOT exist without consent, limits, and safewords. Read this if you like, write this if you like, but please educate yourself on what BDSM actually is before you label something erroneously.

3rd ETA: Decided to rate it.

This is the third book in an interconnected series, though each can be read as a stand alone. However to fully appreciate both the back story AND to avoid spoilers I would personally suggest reading Warlord first and then Overlord.

Rauri and Arielle are a passionate couple and this book has plenty of scorching hot moments. Whilst there are some dubious consent sexual acts, Rauri isn’t one to ask his mate if she’s in the mood, Arielle certainly enjoys his attentions and responds with enthusiasm. They have a fiery relationship, Arielle is not the meek, quiet girl everyone presumed her to be. Especially not since she never seems to be given a choice in her life.

The series is set in a patriarchal society, where the alpha wolf’s word is law and where females are subject to spankings/strappings if they disobey their man. Whilst I would never support this lack of autonomy in real life, I love the Dom/sub dynamic in these books and the battle of wills and wiles that ensues. The author, through character dialogue, does acknowledge that the system is unfair, that males do not seem to be held to the same account as females. However that is the core of the book, the power exchange, the domination and submission, the disciplinary spankings and the resulting re-connection and hot bedroom scenes.

Wolflord is a very enjoyable, steamy and well written story. It easily held my attention and drew me in with Rauri and Arielle’s love story. I’m looking forward to meeting the mysterious man who we briefly saw in this book, I’m wondering if his fated mate is a certain widow and mother of a young girl.

Wolflord...............her master and punisher

Wolflord is a stand-alone story but at the same time it is basically following the same story-line as Overlord and Warlord. It seems that the H, I would not classify him as that but that is what he is supposed to be, sees his fated mate and goes about punishing her until she agrees she is and then complies with everything he says and wants. As with the other stories the H thinks he owns the h completely and can do with her what he wants instead of her being his actual mate that he loves and cherishes. The h puts up a fight and is strong but then she caves and just seems to melt into him.
I am not really sure about how to rate this book as the story had promise but it did not develop enough for me. So I thought it was okay but not a book I would read again.

I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

SUCH IS THE CONFLICTING NATURE OF WOLVES

Once again, Ms. Delta James has penned a page-turning, action-packed, romantic suspense filled shifter tale. Whether you have read her Wayward Mates series or not, the story will read well as a stand-alone. If you did read Wayward Mates, the story takes place many years into the future; a plague has ravished the earth, things are returned to the old ways, before technology.

NOTE: This is a post-apocalyptic dark shifter romance. It contains explicit sex scenes and may seem as non-con or dubious consent—but it is the way of life among these shifters---especially when they are fated mates. It is a way of life, with a strong, dominant alpha male and an equally strong submissive female who eventually capitulates and finds the pleasure in his control and mastery over her body. Yes, it even comes with the coveted HEA ended.

Now that Rowan has mated to Alaric and Sloan to Gareth, Arielle fears that she will be next for a pairing but decides to head out on her own, maybe start a female pack as their former ancestor did—but running away has her running to her future. Raised to be the mistress of a pack is one thing, being forced into it is another.

“She-wolves in their society had few choices and even less power.”

The sweet, biddable, normally obedient Arielle has more of Rowan in her than most realize, and she will start to assert herself, her wants, and it includes disobedience that will land her in trouble with her Alpha, Alaric, and over the knee of his Beta, Tristan. She isn’t going to have it and makes plans to leave, to branch out on her own, and it starts as a stowaway heading to Erie.

“I want you to be safe and happy, whether it’s in this pack or another. And for that to happen, you need to learn to behave—even when it’s not something you want to do. If you plan to be an effective mistress to a great pack, you will need to obey your mate and alpha.”

“Let this be a lesson to you, Arielle; little she-wolves who break the rules and disobey their alpha get their bottom turned bright red and have to stand in the corner until they have atoned for their behavior.”

Now that Ruari has become Alpha of Dundalk after the death of his brother, he knows it is time to claim his mate. He has felt her calling, and what a shock when he learns that Arielle is a stowaway on a warship sent by Alaric to his waters. He is ready to claim her, but she refuses his claim. She will fight him, but he will win.

“We have a difference of opinion. I suspect we will have more of those than I originally thought. Part of the lesson you need to learn today is that my opinion is the only one that matters. Nay, lass, we are more than well suited, and you know it. You are my fated mate and will do better if you learn to obey me from the start.”

The story has plenty of angst between Arielle and Ruari, and she fights him on his claim, demands the right to run, and still, he must show her his dominance when he catches her. She brings trouble to herself with her attitude, and he shows her she will not be allowed to get away with it. When trouble is on the way, heading straight for Gareth and Alaric, Ruari will not be able to go into seclusion with his mate, but instead must leave her and go to their aid. She wants to go, and he refuses—but will she listen or allow her strong-will to disobey him, knowing what the punishment will be?

“No, you are the daughter of an alpha, sister to a rogue female warrior, and cherished mate to the alpha of Dundalk. In my absence, in most ways, you will rule here. Our clan will look to you for comfort and guidance. There will be those whose mates are with me and do not have your strength, skills, and pedigree. I leave our lands and our clan in your most capable hands.”

“You wanted the Arielle that they all thought me to be—sweet, obedient, meek.”

“I may only be a wolf, but I am your fated mate. I could no more deny that than you. Thus is why it takes a she-wolf who knows her own mind and is beyond compare to take pity on a poor alpha, such as myself, to lower herself to accept my dominance.”

I really enjoyed the story of Rauri and Arielle! Delta James delivers another amazing story. I loved that Arielle is not as she is portrayed. Rauri is very firm in his stance with her and he is uncompromising but never to the point that his love for he is overshadowed. I love how Rauri is proud of her for what she does even though he is upset that she put herself in danger!

I am intrigued by this hint of a stranger who has a small blurb within the battle as it is taking place.I don't want this world to be over! Such a great book!

Good but not my favorite

This story was well developed and you can’t help be involved in the characters. Yes, it is erotic with lots of spanking, dominant alphas, and sexy times. All of it is within the context of a really good story. Characters from Overlord and Warlord are in it but this is still a standalone book. I thought this alpha was a bit more harsh than the other two mention and is not a favorite, but it was still a good story.

Arielle, after being punished for disobeying her Alpha, decides to run away and form an all female pack. She stows away on a warship her Alpha is sending to a pack in Dundalk. Her plans are foiled when she learns she has been discovered and that she will be handed over to Ruari, the Alpha of Dundalk, when the ship reaches Eire.

Ruari is surprised when he learns that Arielle has arrived aboard the warship sent by Alaric. Ruari was called to Arielle previously but did not feel that he could take her as his fated mate because he was Beta to another pack. Now that he has become Alpha after his brother died he intends to claim her and mark her.

Arielle tries to run from Ruari instead of taking him as her fated mate but as their law has it, if he catches her she is his. Arielle is convinced she can escape Ruari but not only does he catch her, he catches her twice. She is forced to submit to his dominance as he claims and marks her as his mate. Even after being claimed and marked by Ruari, Arielle is still unsure of what she wants for her future. Can she accept her fate as Ruari's mate? Or will she continue to try to run?

This book is part of a paranormal series that takes place after a plague has decimated the world leaving small groups of humans, mutants and shifters. The wolf shifters are the dominant species in this new world and life has reverted to medieval times. This book will not be for everyone. Punishment is meted out in the form of spankings when a she-wolf, or human female for that matter, disobeys the Alpha of the pack she is in. These punishments are a demonstration of dominance by the Alpha. There are also plenty of sexual scenes in the book and some are explicit.

I listened to the Audio version of this book. I thought the narrator did a good job. He managed to make Ari as irritating in the audio book as she was in the ebook. I actually think I liked the audio version better than the ebook.

Ruari and Arielle's story seemed really short to me. The only thing that was different from the previous books was that Arielle developed a backbone.

I was a little disappointed with this book. There was no real buildup to Rauri and Ari developing a relationship. There was no explanation for why Bridget's behavior changed between the time Rauri became Alpha and he marked Arielle.

Ruari didn't take the time to explain to Arielle that Alaric had contacted him about her. I don't know why Arielle thought she could carry out her original plan as she had an extremely limited skill set. I kind of expected at some point for her to have spent some time with her sister, Rowan.

And what was up with the "dark stranger" scenario? That took up maybe two paragraphs. What was the point? Then we have the whole situation with Edwyn, who was also in the previous books. That was completely unexpected.

As I'm writing this review, I realize the feeling that I was having is this book felt very rushed. Subplots were stated and quickly wrapped up. With this book being a standalone, I would have thought it would be more developed, more detailed. I'm not sure I would have understood all of the references had I not read the previous books.

A very quick read that took only a couple of hours to get through. I didn't get any sense of romance. I think it could have developed with more time. I would give it 3.5 stars.

I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy.

4⭐️This is Why

I’ve read the previous books in this series; with exception to Warlord, each book after kept the same loveable characters, even adding a few. With all the wonderful books Ms. James has written has the worst errors. I’m not talking punctuation. I’m not even speaking of spelling errors but honest to God unbelievable errors. These are just a few: swapped mates, wrong home referencing, he/she mixups but the absolute worst is before the villain is dispensed of in the heat of life and death battle a male stops and stutters “here of all places I find my fated mate!” We know he’s not referring to main she-wolf Arielle nor her mate because they’re already marked and mated now the female with said she-wolf is sister in law too and could conceivably be the fated mate so why even bother to make mention of that when the 5 male soldier with the villain were all killed all 6..... Please just fix these errors and I would love ❤️ the honor to re-read, re-write and re-post.

Same story...different names

I have been getting each book in the series but I think it's the last time I so. The story in each book is about the same. The MC's are all pretty interchangeable.
Even Arrille, who was meek, pliant, and happy previously suddenly decided she doesn't like her life or prospects and decides to start her own female pack. Just ridiculous. No life skills other than those of a prospective pack mistress, no knowledge of how to live off the land, or fighting ability and she plans to strike off on her own.
The males are all the same too. No one seems distinctive or original.
If you liked the other books in the series and did not find them repetitive then you will probably like this too...I'm just done with it. I ended up skipping a lot cause I was bored.

This book is one in a series, which you don't know when you're choosing books thru Kindle Unlimited. So needless to say, I ended up reading them out of order. These books are not badly written, it's just the same theme repeated over and over and over again. Bratty heroine, fated male mate, spanking and light humiliation. Same characters with new characters introduced thru out the series. I am, however, curious to know if there will be another in this series as there are still 2 characters that we have been introduced to but don't know their story. Granted, they are going to find their fated mate, she's going to be a bratty heroine that gets spanked. But still, I would like to know what happens between Duncan and Kellen, which has nothing to do with the themes of these books but does bring an interesting concept into the story.

Delta is def one of my favourite authors and she continues her Warlord series with this book and I love the Arielle comes into her own, with being a mistress in waiting at Calon Onest Pack, she bravely leaves her pack to start a new plan of an all female pack but instead finds herself as the fated mate to the new Alpha of Dundalk Ruari. I like how Arielle practically breaks the mould of a biddable mate to become a fierce warrior in her own right much to Ruari’s dismay.
With the background story running through all the books in this series this can be read as a stand-alone but for clarification def better when read as part of the series...for me I really loved reading this series... 5 stars

Ruari and Arielle's story

Holy hotness. Loving this series.
I love that Arielle is at meek as everyone thought. She has the fire and Sassines like her sister. Love seeing her give Ruari fits , not giving in so easy. Even though she knew he is her fated mate .

Ruari takes over his clan after his brother is killed in battle. Becomes Alpha . He knows Arielle is fated mate even before he takes over his clan . He was ready to send a message to Alaric for Arielle. But instead finds her on the ship as a stowaway.
Loved how she didnt go easy off the ship. She soon found out what happens next.
This amazing story. Hope that Ruari brother widow finds happiness again .

This is the third book of the series, a super steamy medieval romance that picks up at the end of book two, Sloane and Gavin's story. The stubborn heroine of this titillating fantasy is Arielle, the sister of Rowan (and Alaric) of book one and is more like her sister in temperament than everyone believed. Her mate is Ruari former beta to Gavin and now alpha of his own pack after the death of his brother. Spankings galore as these dominant alphas love their discipline of wayward mates. Action packed with lots of sexy encounters. If you enjoyed reading this book as much as I have, you will definitely love reading the previous books in the series. And yes, this one can be standalone.

This is a great story! I couldn’t put it down. I loved every minute of it.

Arielle is a she-wolf who doesn’t want to stay in her pack. She wants to start an all female pack after she is corrected on breaking the rules. She slips away but lands in Dundalk where her fated mate is alpha there. Ruari has come home to take over his pack. His brother died in battle. He knows tha Arielle is his mate before but didn’t think he could offer her anything. Their mating doesn’t go as smoothly as he would like. She is different than when he last saw her. Running away didn't go as she planned.

Arielle was used to the way her sister ran the pack, but the new alpha is to quick to punish for minor infractions of his rules as far as she is concerned. Her plan is simple, stow away then set out on her own to live her life as she sees fit. Ruari knew when he met her that she was his dates mate, but didn't feel he could give her the life she deserved. Now that he is alpha of Clan Dundalk, and she has delivered herself into his keeping he will make her his mate.
Sexy, well written, and fascinating characters. Action, and some suspense with surprising twists in the plot, and a happily ever after. Fantastic book.

She's so much more

Arielle had been raised to become the Mistress to a great pack but after both her sister Rowan and pack mate Sloan had been taken to mate br alphas, Arielle is beginning to wonder what her purpose actually is. To be honest, I originally liked our Hero and then I thought him to be a bit more high handed than I was comfortable with. Haha, but in the end, he won me over. This was a great adventure with all the chemistry and romance anyone could ask for. Now I'm wondering who the hooded man on the hill was and how he plays into things. I'm hooked on this series.

Ruari and Arielle

The meek mild sister turns out to be much more than that. Arielle was raised to be calm, quiet, mistress of the castle. However, she is anything but. Ruari met Arielle when he was Beta to a powerful warlord and while being called to her, felt she was meant for a alpha. Upon his brother’s death, Ruari become alpha and plans to return for his mate only to find that she stowed away and came to him. Doing that did not turn out quite how Arielle meant it to. But it made for a great book! Every one of these stories has been great reads. Continuing saga, live it!

More than what meets the eye

Arielle was thought to be so shy and demure but this tale from her perspective shows that not to be entirely true. She was raised differently than Rowan but they are very much alike. Her attempt to choose her own destiny brought her right to it. This third installment answered all the questions that had been surrounding the Council and Edwyn’s true intentions. I really appreciate the depth of the characters and the strong and feisty heroines. Well done!

Title: Wolflord
Author: Delta James
Format: Audio
Narrator: Jack Calihan
Genre: Dark, shifter (wolf) Romance, D/s
Standalone: Yes
Part of a Series: Related directly to Warlord and Overlord but also (maybe) the same world of Virgin Tribute

4/5

I enjoy the world that Delta James has created in this series. I love the strong female characters who give their mates a run for their money. My only issue is that I want an epilogue.

I received this audiobook for free from Audiobooks Unleashed. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Ho boy... there is a lot of spanking in this one... The deep sexy voice of the narrator bought this audible novel to life.. Ariel fights for control of her destiny every step of the way, but her mate and Alpha will not have it, so it leads to more spanking than you would usually find in a Delta James novel. Liked the plot as well as the characters. "Why o why" did the wolflord have to wear breeches? Why not a fur loin cloth like you would expect this hunk on the cover to wear... Crying tears of sadness right now. Lol

Surprises at every turn

Ruari takes his fated mate Arielle of Onest, she proved to be a wild she-wolf , a little headstrong and stubborn.
I liked her best, she was also smart and funny, and kept her mate on his toes.
This book was my favorite because it had Elements of surprise, awnriness, comradery, loyalty and lots of love.
While this is part of a series, it can be read as a stand-alone book. I definitely recommend this book.

This is a must read series each book is a standalone but they do interact somewhat. I thoroughly enjoyed the way this author developed her character's with so much passion. Arielle and Raul are the next hot couple in the series and written just as well as the first books. They entertained me from beginning to end.

The author easily drew me into her world with this book. The plot is an interesting one and well developed. The characters are likable and have some fun dialogue. There are a number of scenes that may be triggers to some readers as there is domestic discipline in this story between mates. I loved this book, and this is one of my favorite authors for this genre.

Wolflord

Another great read by Delta, just love this series especially as it’s a continuation of the earlier Mates series. Ari and Rauri are wonderful together. They are all standalone but you are really missing something by not reading the entire series. Can’t wait for the next instalment !

Ruari is the Alpha of Dundaulm and knows that Arielle was his mate when she escapes Calon Onest and ends up on Ruari’s land he takes her, knowing that she belongs with him. Arielle will not be taken but she knows that she wants Ruari, will she submit to him? Fast-paced steamy shifter read with loads of drama and plenty of steamy scenes. I loved it!

This was just a good gritty read for me. I loved the strong characters, especially Arielle. Theres nothing better than an Alpha male with a strong female mate that bends to his love. From the storyline to the world that the author created, it was all amazing. I cant wait to see what's next.
