One of the best series of the year!!!

This book ended up being my 500/500 for my 2019 reading challenge on the last day of the year, and I could not have picked a better choice!!! I loved this series and it is one of my top favorite series of this year!!! The series finished up with Chyn who finally is able to get free from the Gods trying to take over. He finds his pair and is able to get some peace and healing. I loved London who was sassy and fought for Him/them along the way. Great series!! Great Job Erin!! I can't wait for Kil's story and I hope some Xixins!!

Another victim of my reader shame, god I’m glad I’m over that!

I deeply enjoyed this whole series, but this one gave us a cyborg(ish) romance! Highly recommend this series for people that love sci-fi romance.

I couldn’t put it down

Oh my gosh I sooooo enjoyed this book. When I started it I felt like I was missing something with concern to London and Chyn’s relation and how he has been playing tricks on her. I don’t recall their story told that much in the last book but them again maybe I’m forgetting. Other than that Chyn is HOT! And I enjoyed seeing their relationship grow, a few parts had me shocked (when he kissed her to teleport her) and it was nice to see Vry is not as much as an ass like he was when he was 1st turned. I hate this is the end but excited to see what’s next.

Erin Reagan has said this is the last book in the Galactic Order series. However, not the final book in this world, which I am so grateful for. I have been enamored with it from the beginning and couldn’t wait for the Shadow Assassins story.

Chyn is beyond epic, and it was so awesome to finally get a closer look at who and what he is. I was not disappointed in him one bit. London was funny, yet I felt she needed to be a little more epic. IDK maybe a kickass female, or have something extraordinary about her. However, I guess that is what makes this series so good — regular women landing these fantastical males.

I was disappointed with how quickly the “war” seemed to go away. But I get Reagan not wanting to focus on it too much.

I am rating Shadow Assassin Galactic Order #7 4.5 Boundless stars. I have to throw it in there; my favorite line in the book: “Your name’s Chyn?” He looked at me with a smirk. I glared at him. “Asshole suits you better.”

Series feels unfinished

This book is not a good ending to this series. I was liking this series very much until now. This book felt rushed and got confusing is several places. I could not connect with the main characters in this book like I could in all the previous books. This is supposed to be the end of the series and should have answered all loose end in the entire series but it does not and I have ton of storyline and other character questions. The author "cops out" in a ending statement that states she has characters that she still wants to write about and is planning to possibly expand this world into a new series. I feel that just left this series partly unfinished.

Chyn gets his story

So we knew Chyn was in a league all his own. You wanted to hate him but the author is so good at redeeming him in the reader's eyes. He has his own agenda but occasionally plays nice with others. Still he is loyal to his people. But I loved how he just took the heroine because he wanted her and could. He is the ultimate baddie! Still he cares for her and protects her, even against himself. I am sad to see this series end. Erin Raegan has become one of my favorites as her stories are evolving and capture your attention. I want more from this universe.....

I love the series not necessarily the ending of the series there are still a lot of holes to clear up.

I couldn't wait for Cyns story I did like it though it wasn't my favorite. I didn't get the past references and why did she make him so old 5000 years old is a long time to be lonely and all alone with voices in your head and no mate or sexual activity any one would go crazy and end there own life. I always look at book and ask myself could this really happen I'm going to say nope .I felt like the story didn't have a smooth flow . This book is more a 3.5 I'm not ready for earth to die .

Excellent series

I am so happy someone recommended this to me in a reader group. It’s hard to find a well written alien romance. I typically have a hard time with character jumping in a book series. I fall in love with my original main characters and get upset when they get pushed to the side.

But this series does a great job of incorporating all the characters. making sure we continue to see them and their lives throughout the series.

My only regret is knowing this is the last book and we STILL don’t know who Lord Kilabus is looking for and why. Will he get his own series? Will a follow up be made? What about Yilt? Will he ever find someone? Did Bailey have her baby? What does the new human home world look like? So many unanswered questions. Need more stories!

First, I just have to say I love that cover. It's absolutely perfect. This book goes right up there with Tahk's books (though I still love Tahk more). It was SO good. I absolutely loved getting more of Chyn, and I liked London as his mate. These two have a most unconventional relationship, but they both make it work to find their happiness. And I love how London doesn't try to change Chyn. Way too often in alien romance books, the girl basically forces her mate to change to match how she was raised and I really hate that. So I was happy that London accepts Chyn as he is and knows that thru it all he will always love her.

I liked London. I'm a sucker for female MC's that don't do stupid things because they're trying to be some badass or some shit. London used her brain, knowing that any chance she took at escape would only make her suffer. After all, there is no running from the shadow assassin. Even so, she still tries to stick up for herself. London is the daughter of the now President of the U.S. She was out on a raid when she was captured by the Juldo and taken to be given to their leader. But by the time she arrived Chyn had killed him and taken his place. Leaving her to be locked in a cell and not knowing her future.

We all know just how awesome Chyn is. Here we just get a front row seat for it. We learn of his past and how it so strongly shaped him because of how devastating it is. Plus because he's so old, he still holds to his old school beliefs. At first he doesn't know what to do with London, so he just keeps her locked up next to the Dahk traitor. But when he comes to get the traitor to deliver him to Uthyf something drives him to take London with him. Beginning his games with her and making that meeting much more tense. He doesn't want to be the Juldo master, but when London's life is threatened he claims the title.

Going by the hostile desires of the voices in his head, Chyn believes he's figured out what London is to him and acts without asking her. Fortunately he was successful and when Vyr explains things to her, London is understandably angry but she agrees to try and help him. Changing everything between them. I loved how hard Chyn tried for her and held himself in check. His deals with her to get his way became more playful and they inevitably get closer.

Chyn knows more about this war than he is letting on to, but in the end everything is a success at all locations. Honestly I was a little let down by the whole end to the war though. And that was because we don't actually get to see any of it. We're told of how it begins and then *boom* it's over. Very anti-climatic. Plus the whole thing with the other shadowborn we encounter at the end of the last book was also a let down. He was no enemy and was more of a sentimental addition to Chyn's character.

I'm sure I've said this every book since he appeared, but I love Kil. He is not having any luck finding who he is looking for and it's obviously taking its toll. I am looking forward to his book soooooo much.

This was bittersweet, being the ending and all to an amazing series. But it also was bittersweet because I expected a bit more impactful conclusion. I liked the new narrative and couple, being Chyn and London, there’s no doubt about that. However the way it wrapped up the entire series was, for me anyway, rushed.

I get it. It is a short book to a series which have had a lot of narratives, themes and conflicts. Understandably it is a difficult job to conclude such a massive series in a way that perfectly ties every end together and satisfies everyone. I am not disappointed in the outcome at all. As a matter of fact, every main character got some sort of happy ending, which to me is a pretty satisfying note to end on. I even liked the bittersweetness with the conclusion for the humans on earth, also making it more realistic since it would have been too convenient and sappy for my taste to make everything end happily. Looking at the big picture, it was a well balanced ending.

We can’t forget the romance either. This one differed quite a lot from the previous books, having a bit more darkness and struggle to it, but it only made me love it even more. The tenseness, the mysterious dark assassin with no perceived emotions or feelings, except when it came to her. London never really trusting or knowing where she stood with him, if she was his prisoner or his “lover”. All of it built so amazingly into a thrilling romance with them in constant dramatic conflict and uncertainty. It made them finally getting together all the more compelling, and I really liked that even then we still had the more drawn back mysterious Chyn, only that London trusted him to know who he was. After Peyton and Tahk, they are now my favorite couple in this series.

I am as you can tell absolutely fine with the conclusion. I am just not overly in love with it. Since the book was short there was a lot of loose ends and question built up in the series that either had a very rushed conclusion or wasn’t solved at all. The biggest ones coming to mind was the Bours reason for the war, what happened to their leader, who the Kilbus Lord was looking for and if he ever will find her. Then there were smaller stuff like Bailey’s pregnancy or minor characters conclusions (e.g. Roxy, Vex, ignyt’s brothers, Tahk’s sister). These may not have been super important per say, but having followed the characters through the entire series it would have been nice to see. I am not too sad about it though since, as I understood it, the author may revisit this beautiful world in the future. I really hope she does.

Personally I think Chyn’s story is a lot more interesting than the rest of the series. I wish his civilization’s story was elaborated more, I found it very fascinating. The main story line throughout the Galactic Order series is boring and recycled, there are countless books and series about aliens invading/aiding Earth, and “mating” human women. And sci-fi romance books about alien civilizations with very well developed worlds (languages, religion, technology, culture, etc) are so hard to come by.

This is a tough rating, I gave it a 4 ⭐️ cause I loved the series and it was a great book 2/3 but the last few chapters there were too many pov from other characters that it lost the story for me between the H/h

What a series?!?!

This was a nice ending to this series. As others have noted, there were still a lot of loose ends but the author stated that she was going to slowly release them in her newsletters or in a box set. So, I will forgive her, as long as she comes through with the leftover Rank characters waiting on their HEA. And their are a lot, with Gyrl, Ignit's brothers/sister, Roxy and more. I am hoping Roxy ends up with lion guy or Bird guy, I cannot remember which one she was crushing on. So, I hope there are spinoffs. Now, as for this book, I am so happy Chyn received his HEA. He is the anti hero, that you just have to like. It was nice getting his backstory because he had such a secretive and unknown background, so it was nice getting the answers. Of course, his mate complimented him perfectly, just like the rest of the couples in this series. It is hard to say goodbye to the series and i hope the author keeps her word and brings beck some of these characters in future books. I must admit, this author seems to be funny and have a lot of different stories rattling in her head! I only think this because of the little blurbs she leaves at the end. Usually I ignore them because they usually resemble the Emmy's, I like to thank my mom, my dog and so forth. Which is fine, it is nice to thank people, but it does not usually concern me or my next book. However, this author always includes what she is/was thinking of the character/s and it is always enjoyable. So next time you read one of her books, read the author's note, you may get a smile or learn more about the characters.

Assassin

I want to say thank you to Erin Raegan for this great alien/ psy/to romance series, I'm a avid reader, I love this series ,right from the beginning ofv the first book I was enthralled, was hooked the very first page,I wasn't disappointed. When a writer can keep your attention throughout the whole book, well not every writer can do that. But Erin Raegan ,her writing kept you constantly going back for more, and when it ended ,you were sad and excited because your looking for the next book. Shadow Assassin was gritty, harsh, sweet and complicated all in one. Cyn had such a harsh life and with the things he had to do throughout his long life and to top that all off,he was dealing with the gods in his head ,which amounted to many of his fallen latari brethren . London was something he needed desperately. So when she was kidnapped and Cyn knew she was something special to him even when he denied it to him self. I loved reading the shadow assassin he was in the whole series from book one ,so to see his conclusion where there is some sort of a good life for Cyn and London was very satisfying. Honestly I can't wait for Lord Kilbus and his book, on let's not forget about the xixin and the guhuvin with their avian flight ,nests and of course their blades. I am looking forward to xixin kings "mate's hopefully some are human,I feel so bad for the human's loss off earth ,it will be interesting in the next series to see how things progress. Hat's off for Erin Raegan ,I see a great career in writing books for this wonderful author.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book was DARK, twisted, and absolutely addicting. 😮‍💨🔥 Erin Raegan really leaned into the danger with this one, and I couldn’t look away.

London’s voice pulled me right in—fear, anger, confusion, all tangled up with this magnetic pull toward the very assassin who could destroy her. And him? The Shadow Assassin is lethal, unpredictable, and terrifying… but also captivating. That enemies-to-lovers energy was dialed up to MAX. One second I was yelling “girl, RUN,” the next I was fanning myself because the tension was that insane.

Their dynamic is pure chaos:
⚔️ Predator vs. prey… until it isn’t.
🔥 Hatred laced with obsession.
🖤 Dark games that turn into desperate need.

London doesn’t just survive him—she matches him move for move, even when the stakes are deadly. And watching that power shift between them? Absolutely delicious.

This book felt like being caught in a storm—violent, dangerous, but impossible not to surrender to. If you want alien romance that plays with fear, desire, and power until you’re breathless, Shadow Assassin will leave you wrecked and begging for more. 💀🔥

I have left and come back to this series a few different times. There isn’t a ton of light in these books but it’s heady with an overall story that was just so well realized. This perfectly imperfect ending was exactly what was needed. I absolutely loved it beginning to end.

Just an overhead hand clap to the author for allowing it to end, the series. I know there are other branches to this world that have emerged but I cannot tell you how many times I haven’t even attempted a series that has 10 plus books AND counting all lined up in a row. One, they feel daunting and two by book 5 or 6 it almost always ends with me feeling like the author lost their way and is now just having fun with cut and paste and fill in the blanks. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate a well thought out conclusion.

Series as a whole was top notch. Loved it. Loved the characters, loved the world building, loved the dialogue and loved the story telling. Recommend 100 percent. (You’re always free to disagree, you’d be wrong but that’s okay too)

The last book of this series felt rushed to me and it was my least favourite.

I loooove Chyn as a character and I just felt like we didn't get to feel anything when it came to his and London's relationship. It felt so rushed in the end and I just didn't feel it. He deserved better in my opinion. They needed more scenes together, more 'finding themselves' and getting time to understand eachother. I can't even call this a romance because nothing really romantic happened. The sexy times were shmeh as well - sort of shoved in.

The war ended so abruptly after all these books leading up to it. What about Vex and Viytenus?? I felt like so much information was missing.

I'm excited to read Kil's books - I hope they will be fleshed out like Tahk and Peyton's story (my ultimate fave alien romance ever!).

Another enjoyable read and not quite end to the series, there's still kilbus' duet to read.

At times I found the descriptions confusing, it just read as gobbledygook tbh so I just have to move on

It was interesting to find out finally chyn's background. I'm really hoping Erin changes her mind and give us vex' book, maybe she already has and I just have found it yet.

Storyline n plot was more complex but confusing. Great characters etc.

One thing more pronounced in this book was the number of errors spelling, grammar etc. All the previous books had them but this by far was the worst. Maybe she changed editor but it was poor, choice instead of chose, hone world instead of home world.

Ironic considering it is the last book in this series.

All in all a fantastic 4 star series.

Now to delve into the mystery of kilbus

Last of His Kind !

I loved this book and the series as a whole . The character and world building were great . In this book , Chyn finds his mate . London is the daughter of the President of the U.S. and is kidnapped by the Juldo Master . Chyn kills him and takes over and finds her in the dungeon . She is the light to his darkness . They have obstacles to overcome but they heal each other . I hate that this is the end of the series but I liked the ending . He is the last Latari . He is Shadow born . But now with London he doesn't walk alone . I hope you enjoy the book ! Enjoy the Fantasy !

3.5 frickin stars!

Ok, def Chyn is what happens when you dont try to woobify your anti hero types too much but still give him just the right amount of depth and dare i say , humanity, to make me want to root for him.

London could have been more epic and maybe a bit more emotionally explored but overall she was fine and thankyoulord , not some whiny shrew who wants to change who Chyn is at his core. ( but none of the heroines in this series are like that and that's part of why Im loving them so much)

Ugh, I love this book so much!

Never disappointed by Erin Raegan

When you reach the end of a series of books that have captured your imagination and become old friends it feels like saying good bye. I know Erin still plans to share her Dahl tales with us, her readers, but it is still moving on past the heart of Python, and I will miss it. Finally learning about Chyn was the solving of the mystery of the Shadow Assassin. I highly recommend the entire series and await anything Erin cares to share with us. Thank you so much Erin.

The bitter sweet end

London had been taken captive, but her captor is giving her whiplash with his treatment of her. Sometimes hot, sometimes cold she's bit quite sure what to make if the situation. She does notice that she is starting to care for him... what to do now?
The last book in the series, we finally get a load of answers we have been waiting on. Still some grammatical errors, but overall well done.

Love the Shadow Assassin series!

This was such a great series by Erin Raegen. Each book was so detailed and descriptive, I felt like I was experiencing it firsthand. Had a hard time putting these books down. The Dahk are my absolute favorite and their total commitment to their female mates, their “Pythen.” Made me want my very own Dahk mate! Sad to see the series come to an end but I can’t wait for Raegen’s next books to come out.

I almost gave this 5 stars, cause I loved Chyn, the Shadow Born assassin, and this was a great read. What kept it to only 4 stars was the fact that his world was a bit too flat. Most of the book took place on the Juldo world but we never really got to know those people. There was one Juldo side character who had a role, but even he was pretty flat and his role was very minimal. Chyn and London were plenty to carry the book and seriously hold my attention, but I wanted just a bit more to make it perfect.

Chyn was a formidable character so I couldn't quite imagine what kind of heroine could match up with him. This author nailed it with London in my opinion. She can be a little sassy or sweet, and stand firm if needed. The origins of Chyn and the Juldo were interesting and a little sad . Chyn is a bit scary but London softens him just a smidgeon so I was invested in their happy ending. I enjoyed this read!

Awesome Series

I’ve finished this series so quickly, I seriously could not put it down. Wonderful world building and characters. So much action and sexual attraction and hot sex !! So sad to reach the end but anxiously awaiting more from Ms Raegan about the other worlds and aliens that we met in these stories. I would highly recommend this series.
