This book is a practical and useful guide for how to use your first 100 days in a new leadership role effectively. It breaks down how to make a 100-day plan with worked examples and often more way that one to consider a topic/prompt.

Would recommend.

I liked this for the simple defintion of leadership provided on p. 70.

A leader should do the following:
- Set a clear direction.
- Bring people with them.
- Deliver results.

And as promised, it was a quick read that made for a productive flight. Now that I'm flipping back and doing some of the exercises to build out a First 100 Days plan, I am finding the value in thinking this way. Whether or not I use a plan as prescriptively as this book suggests remains to be seen - but there is value in building out the plan just to gather my own thoughts and in backwards designing the first few months (years) of work.

Actionable insights to enable any Exec changing roles. Useful case study questions to highlight issues and solutions. Focus on the 'how to' transition and onboard and not just on 'what' someone needs to know. Useful exercises and tips. I'd recommend this to early-in-their-career execs who are trying to better understand, how they can make a strong impact in their role & demonstrate their potential.

What I liked:
- The book provides a structure that overall is quite good

What I did not like:
- Most of the content is so basic and evident
- Lots of content is repeated to create a feeling of volume

Conclusion:
This book should fit within 30-40 pages, not the 200 the author created just to pretend there was more content

More suited to CEOs of large companies but some useful generic advice

I started reading this book as a part of a project for a client of mine, so that I could better understand the work process he was going through. But I found the book changed my mindset for my business and consulting. A practical read for high-level executives that can also apply to all levels of people who want to fast track their progress in any role.

Its good. Had me thinking on a lot of aspects, which are valid points.
And rather than paying for coaching you get this book written and you can do it at your own pace.

It was very hard for me to read 100 days 4 times to which ( in my mind) felt it was written on every page.
