The second in a new series of "look + learn M books" presenting eye-catching, creative designs, and die-cut pages to teach children colors, counting, and caring, in this beautiful board book.
There’s no better way to share love and learning with your little one than time spent on your lap with a colorful, interactive board book. One Yellow Sun helps introduce little ones to numbers, colors, and sizes, using vibrant colors and smart die-cuts. There’s a surprise activity at the end!

This simple board book is actually really cool. It has cut out circles of different numbers and different colors on each page, and the effect is that of colored dots moving around on the page. I enjoyed it a lot and plan to gift it.
Simple, beautiful, pop art counting book. Couldn't stop laughing at that one review ("It's just HOLES.") Yes, but that's where the design brilliance lies. Bright colours, easy for little hands to poke through and flip pages. A great first book!
There is a lot to LOVE about this sturdy board book. As an educational specialist, I'd use this book in preschool and kindergarten to teach colors, numbers, color and number sight words, and counting forward and backward from one to ten. Some children are tactile (kinesthetic) learners, and this book allows them to interact with the book by putting their finger in the cut-out sections and count along with the text. This book has a clever ending along with a bar chart (math!). Another wonderful thing about this book is that it can be read from the front to the back (from 10 to 0)...AND from the back to the front (from 0 to 10).
This review is for the e-book version. After reading the ebook version and finding absolutely no value in it and being therefore very puzzled about this book's existence, I came here only to find out that the physical version of this book is apparently very much different - it's meant to be hands-on and engage the reader through interaction & such. This changes things a lot, since that would make much more sense. I thus find it really strange as to why this book even exists in e-book format, because readers will definitely not be getting anywhere near the same kind of experience they would reading the physical book.
Excellent book for babies. Easy to hold. Perfect colors they can focus on. Cut outs add to the physical contact for a baby, leading into the next page. Highly recommend.
