Jess has been a freelance writer most of her life. She wrote her first novel in an Independent Studies class at Stephen F. Austin University. She procrastinated until deadline and had to write the last 100+ pages within twelve hours. She received an A minus.
Still a procrastinator, Jess fantasizes that one day she'll wake up and all those manuscripts on her hard drive will be miraculously, revised and edited.
Jess was born in Longview, Texas, She is the founder of the East Texas Writers Association and a past president of Bayou Writers Group in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She enjoys Bible Studies, genealogy, bean bag baseball, breakfast/brainstorming with friends and playing with her recently retired husband.
