I got the book by accident, but I'm glad it happened. When I opened the first pages I expected a typical story about "career of MC": full of parties, alcohol, drugs, battles on stage, etc. Surprisingly, I got a book about...Silesia, at least at the beginning.
I live in Silesia, but I don't come from here (I was born a few hundred km from this region). I'm still getting familiar with all specificity of it and this book was another step to understand it better. Please, don't treat it as a historical or sociological book, it's just a story of one person who was raised here and who gives us diverse views.
Miuosh writes about himself, his family, home, backyard, community, town, the 'fifth side of the world', and finally about Poland. He wants to explain what's important for him and people leaving in Silesia, why living here is different but also why he doesn't like to be treated differently as 'MC from Silesia'.
And maybe I don't agree with everything he wrote but it's really worth diving into reading and see his point of view.
Jedna z najgorszych książek jakie przeczytałem. Smutne, niespójne, prywatnego wynurzenia zagubionego mężczyzny. W rozkroku między stereotypem, a współczesnością. Pełne klisz i pseudofilozofii. Jedyne, co z niej wyciągnąłem, to określenie „pokój bułgarski”.
