A romantic novelette that is heavy on the hot and steamy. This one is about Morgan, a hockey player from the Hot Jocks series, and his stepsister Isla. They didn’t grow up with each other, so they are essentially step siblings in name only. They spend one unexpected hot weekend together while their parents are away and then they grow a friendship after that. Anyway you’ll have to read to see what happens, just know this one is hot, it’s easy, and it’s quick.

Awful
I feel like I was tricked into reading this. This wasn’t a romantic novellla. It was basically erotica. There was a sort of hot moment between the two, but they didn’t have sex. Then they are apart for a year. The the author crosses over into creepy territory when she has the h texting the H about times she has tried the “techniques” he taught her on other guys. He is not jealous (sorry that pretty pretty much killed the romantic notions or believability) but is “turned on”. She loses her virginity, having sex with 2 other guys, and who knows how many puck bunnnies he has screwed. Then she comes into town to visit and they end up having sex (he asks about whether she has done it before and says yes she’s been “experimenting”. This whole thing read like a bad porno, the only reasons I finished it is are that it was short and that I wanted to leave an honest review.

The Bedroom Experiment de Kendall Ryan libro 4.5 de la serie Hot Jocks
Mí humilde opinión:
Morgan es el portero suplente del equipo de Hockey de los Hawks de Seatle.
Su padre se volvió a casar hace unos años con Dawn que tenía una hija.
Isla no era un problema, era una nerd, hasta que se volvió sexy y la empezó a ver con otros ojos, entoncesy hace lo imposible por verla lo menos posible.
Cuando sus padres se van de viaje, él se queda con Isla en su casa y lo que ella le pide a continuación es tan prohibido como increíble.
En The Bedroom Experiment, KR nos trae a Morgan y a Isla con una pequeña historia de un romance prohibido.
Isla es hermanastra de Morgan, aunque por poco tiempo y jamás vivieron bajo el mismo techo o estuvieron solos, tampoco nunca se conocieron más profundamente.
Primero ninguno se fija en el otro hasta que unos años después Morgan comienza a notar a Isla físicamente.
Obviamente él lucha contra su atracción por ella hasta que los dos sucumben y cruzan los límites.
Lo que sentí con esta novela corta es que:
No conecta con ninguno de los libros de la serie aunque Morgan es del equipo de Hockey.
De todas formas, me encantó conocer a Morgan, porque si bien es breve, KR le dio una personalidad al personaje dónde puedo ver cómo es él no solo por arriba.
Pensamiento aparte...
Me hubiera gustado que esta fuera una precuela para su próximo libro.
Me quedé con ganas de seguir la relación de estos dos. Una pena.
Lo que me decepcionó un poco lo rápido que los dos pasan a la acción.
Isla es dejada por su novio porque ella es inexperta y como Morgan tiene experiencia le pide ayuda.
Inmediatamente después de que ella rompe con el novio del que no dejaba hablar con quién quería perder su virginidad, tienen sexo oral? No importa que fuera porque ella quisiera aprender a complacer a un hombre. La escena perdió puntos para mí.
Los dos se vuelven a separar y un año después de esa noche juntos, Isla y los padres visitan a Morgan en Seatle para un juego.
Allí vuelven a sentir la química entre ellos que nunca desapareció, con los padres cerca en la habitación, ambos caen de nuevo en la tentación.
Y aquí viene mí pregunta...
Los dos se sentían fuertemente atraídos antes, aunque no podía ser, ella le dice que ya estuvo con otros dos chicos "experimentando" mientras está en la cama con Morgan, esto a él no le mueve un pelo seguro porque también estuvo con "conejitas" durante ese tiempo también... entonces muy profundo para no decir enamorados no era el sentimiento, solo era lujuria.
De ninguna manera creo que pudiera estar con otros luego de tener sexo increíble aunque oral con Morgan?!
No sé, fue raro porque esperé que se enamoraran pero creo que fue más por el lado de la lujuria.
Igualmente disfruté con la lectura y tuvo un buen final.
Solo me queda imaginar cómo sigue está Historia.

Actually, this turned out to be really cute. I have no plans on reading the rest of this series, but I heard that this was a fun, fast and sexy read, and it totally was. Kind of a unique storyline which made it extra fun.

Super HOT, super fast read. This was a great addition to the Hot Jocks hockey series. You don’t have to read the rest of the series to enjoy this novella. The bedroom “experiment” is super hot and the attraction between Morgan and Isla is great. Before they acted on any attraction between them you could tell they just liked each other as friends..even though they were step siblings. And it didn’t feel weird since they didn’t grow up together or even living in the same house so it really had more of a friends feel. So if you are in the mood for a fast read and that still packs a HOT punch this would definitely be a book to read!

If you've loved the Hot Jocks series so far then you'll definitely enjoy this novella featuring Morgan the backup goalie and his stepsister or "friend" Isla. This was a hot, sexy read and one that ignited interest from the very first page. Kendall never fails to give us an amazing read that leaves us begging for so much more!

This is a super steamy, short, novella, told entirely from Morgan's perspective. I loved that we got a story entirely in male POV and I really want more. Isla is Morgan's step-sister but they did not grow up together. When Isla's boy-friend breaks up with her because she lacks experience in the bedroom, she reaches out to Morgan for an experiment.
If you're looking for a quick, steamy, read that is slightly taboo, grab this up right now! I can't wait for more of these Hot Jocks!

As soon as I saw the synopsis, this reminded me of all the stepbrother romances we've seen around a few years ago. I enjoyed some of them back then but now, I don't think it's a favorite trope of mine. However, since it was available on Audible escape and it worked perfectly for a challenge, I decided to give it a go. It also helped that the narrator's voice is great and that it was a short audio.
Here we follow Isla and Morgan. He's a bit older than her and her boyfriend just broke up with her because she's not experienced in the bedroom. That's when she asks him for advice since he's had a lot of sex. Their parents aren't here. They're away on vacation I believe, and obviously "romance" ensues which was more erotica than romance but oh well ;)

If you like steam, this certainly gets right to the point. Granted, we're inside a guy's head. But that's about all this was. It's nice that they did become friends. Quick read and Jason Clarke was probably the best thing about this story - his audiobook narration was fantastic.

Loved it! This was a short novella about Morgan and Isla. It was a super quick read, funny and steamy! A stepbrother romance but the ending was amazing and unexpected. Definitely check it out.

This is a hot and short novella featuring Morgan and Isla, his stepsister. One weekend changes everything for these two and it all starts with a bedroom experiment. This book was a hit and steamy read that I really enjoyed.

Nope.
Not my cup of tea. I mean, the characters aren't related and are only step-siblings through the marriage of their parents. They've also not been brought up together in no way whatsoever. So the author did her best to limit the creepy factor.
And maybe I would've been able to even appreciate the "taboo" factor more, if not for one thing - an average bottle of ketchup probably contains more chemistry than what transpired between Morgan and Isla in this story. It was just so lukewarm and...mechanic (?) that I couldn't imagine the characters overcoming the creepy factor for THAT.
Also, the scene with Isla's dad coming into Morgan's bedroom as him and Isla were about to have sex and basically being all like "we know what you've been doing and here's our seal of approval as your parents, just fuck quietly so we can't hear you" - WHAT WAS THAT EVEN?!
So far, this series has been a mix of hit and miss but with the books 3 and 4 being more hit than miss, I'm hoping the next installment continues that trend :)

I blame you Jason Clarke! If it wasn't for your scrumptious, orgasm inducing voice, I wouldn't have picked this to listen!!
When I finished listening, this was my face.
This really needed a full-fledged story. There was just too much happening here for things to be resolved so quickly. First, she was not that old that I would have expected the parents to object. Two, with the possibilities of that relationship going south and haunting both for THE REST OF THEIR LIVES, I can't believe they would enter in one so lightly. And finally, who the heck asks for somebody to be his gf these days?
If you are tempted to pick this up, don't do it!!

Morgan has gotten his big break in professional hockey. Now, all he has to do is keep his hands off of his step-sister. Spending the weekend at his Dad’s place, it’s just him and Isla, a college student who he’s only met a few times. His dad remarried when he was in college so he never lived with Isla. Isla has a problem; she is a virgin and her boyfriend broke up with her because of her lack of sexual experience. She wants Morgan to teach her how to give a blow job. Will they, or won’t they? And if they do, what would happen after? It was a fun, sexy short story. Just what I needed. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

Loved this quick hot read. Morgan and Isla were so cute together. She asked him to help her please a man since her boyfriend broke up with her because of this reason. He was resistant because he is her stepbrother. That doesn’t stop them but they only go so far. When they finally get together a year later, all bets are off. Loved how intense their chemistry and attraction towards each other was. This was a good story for a quick fix of this series. Great addition and I can’t wait to read more.
