The car accident that left her permanently injured only made Lee Macbeth more determined to help others with disabilities. But the charming cowboy doing a stint of community service at her therapeutic riding facility wants more from the self-sufficient widow. Despite their powerful mutual attraction, Lee can’t risk falling for Mr. Totally Wrong. Or is Colton Brand more of a stand-up guy than he appears?

Another in the Brands of Montana series in which brother Colton Brand is sentenced to community service at Strides of Strength, an organization using equine therapy for children with a variety of disabilities. The person who runs the program is Lee Macbeth, herself a below-the-knee amputee who doesn't let the loss of her lower leg slow her down in any way. Well, except in clinging to the memory of her husband, who was killed in the accident when she was injured.
For Brand, his first glimpse of Lee tells him he's going to marry her. But he's going to have to convince Lee and she doesn't seem like she's likely to agree with him. How he learns about himself in the course of doing the needed repairs that Lee has listed plays a role in Colt's maturation into a caring man instead of the adolescent out for pleasure alone that he was when he was arrested. But the issue that is hardest for him to accept is Michael's continued presence in Lee's mind and heart. Can Colt accept that this may never change--even after Lee tells him she wants to have Michael's baby from the embryos they'd created before his death?
This story was cute but at the same time there were parts that were so easy to see coming and then others that were just kind of annoying.
He is forced to work off his volunteer hours at a horse clinic for disabled children. He starts off as a very cocky cowboy, whose character I think I would have liked if he had stayed that cocky.. he turns super soft quick once he sees who he will be working for and tries everything to win her heart.
They both learn some details about each others lives and things become complicated and messy more than once. There is one factor that is mentioned about her wanting to have her dead husbands child, it bothers me because while I understand the want for it, she is also choosing to start a new relationship with this other man. So now it’s just going to complicate things and possible end her current relationship which they both fought hard for. I just couldn’t wrap my head around that.. it almost ruined everything.
It is a cute romance but I did find it hard to actually get into. I think I restarted it twice cause I just couldn’t get in the groove of it.
I’m very excited about this series because it has great characters and well written story lines. I tried to leave a review on Amazon and I will definitely. leave on there tomorrow the story is good and I will be rereading it again.
Colton was caught riding while intoxicated and now has to do community service at Lee Macbeth program to that works with people with disabilities. Lee is less then thrilled about this situation but Colton is proving his worth and seems to be charming her as well.
This was a pretty cute book. The one thing though for me that stood out was that I haven't read a book where the guys point of view was really all about that love at first sight it was actually pretty cute. He got really into it when it came to Lee knowing in his mind this is the women he loves and is going to marry her and was pretty dead set knowing this. It was actually quiet charming. I loved seeing the attraction between the two Lee was clearly conflicted about her feelings and it was interesting seeing how things worked out with the two. Overall this was a pretty good book I really enjoyed it.
