Grace Trilogy #2

Disgraceful

Rate this book
I knew falling for him was wrong. I did it anyway, his half smiles and blue eyes pulling me deeper. Blue eyes that made me soar. He wasn’t mine to keep, though. And like all good and rare things, it came to an end.

Then he strolls into my life, armed with dimples and gray eyes. Gray eyes that ground me. He smashes through my defenses, stealing what is left of my heart.
Now my heart is a war zone, past and present battling for my forever.

They say lightning doesn’t strike the same place twice. I call bullshit on that theory..

After finishing book 1 Desolate I couldn’t wait to get more Grace and Sol. No doubt about that. As individuals and as a couple. I’m Team GraSol all the way.

Disgraceful picks up right where Desolate ended. First real love and heartbreak is something you’ll always remember. Grace and Sol are nursing their first heartbreak while still being so much in love. They needed time apart. To figure themselves out. To explore and enjoying life. To be a better person for the other. They’ll meet new people and maybe experience new love again. That’s the case for Grace. A guy tries to break down her walls. A good guy named Levi. But for me I was struggling a lot to let him in. To see him with Grace cause I’m Team Sol all the damn way. That’s a complement and testament to Autmn Grey’s writing. With GraSol she has set the bar so high that I’ve become fiercely protective of this couple. No guy is good enough for Grace except Sol.
Grace is only nineteen and wants to experience college life with all that entails. Frat parties and maybe fall in love again. Levi is a good guy who genuinely likes Grace but he’s struggling with something too. They both want to escape from something or someone so they seek solace in each other. They develop a friendship which slowly becomes more.

I was holding my breath for Sol’s return cause I knew he wouldn’t give up on his Gracie and I was right. GraSol has incredible chemistry. Their history goes way back to when they were 10 years old. Whenever they’re around one another sparks fly. I hoped and prayed I wouldn’t be hurting throughout this book but I was. It was intense and emotional. That ending! Not cool but it bodes well for the final installment of this wonderful Grace Trilogy. More angst and all consuming love. But most important of all more Grace and Solomon.

4 Disgraced CROWNS

I can honestly say that I didn't expect Disgraceful to go down the road it did. I didn't want Grace to find someone else. I didn't want to love him. But like Grace, I fell for his charm and was torn between two men who I loved equally.

Grace goes through quite the emotional journey during this book, and even by the end, she isn't done. There are moments that I was angry with her, frustrated, but I also understand that her head and her heart were at war, eventually into a civil war with two men trying to take ownership.

Readers will absolutely be charmed by Levi and Sol equally. There is a loyalty to Sol from book one, but somehow Levi charms his way into hearts. He is utterly irresistible, which is what makes this book so angsty.

This book, as you can tell from the synopsis, is a love triangle (book one is not). One thing that I, as a reader, always struggle with is that it becomes clear to me who the heroine will choose, thus decreasing my motivation to continue reading. While it does become clear who Grace will chose, I was still engaged because Autumn's writing is beautiful. It is eloquent, and readers truly live the moments with the characters.

The ending of this book is shocking, which is to be expected since there is a third book in the series, and I am excited to see how this all shakes out.

Disgraceful is the highly anticipated second book in the emotionally charged and enthralling Grace Trilogy by Autumn Grey. This amazingly talented author truly knows how to put your heart through the wringer while simultaneously feeding your soul with the beauty of her words. Although the angst was gut-wrenching and nerve-wracking at times it was also keeping me glued to my kindle. I simply couldn't get enough of this rollercoaster. I want to emphasize that I'm usually not a fan of love triangles. They either work for me under certain circumstances or they don't. You know that the author has done a terrific job with this if you end up loving all of the involved characters. I applaud Autumn for handling this sensitive topic so delicately and in the best way possible.

Disgraceful continues where the first book ends - with Grace and Sol standing at a crossroad. Two soulmates desperately in love with each other. But heartbreaking decisions needed to be made on both sides and now Grace and Sol need to live with the consequences of their actions. They say all good things come to an end but what if you're not willing to let go yet and accept the outcome?
You suffer and you pray for the pain to go away. At some point you realize that you need to stop, pick yourself up and decide to finally move on. That's when a new guy enters into Grace's life. He is absolutely gorgeous, dangerously charming and doesn't shy away from showing his feelings openly. And he's determined to win Grace over despite her reluctance. It would be so easy to fall for him but Grace's heart is a battlefield - torn between her old feelings for Sol and her growing ones for the other guy she didn't see coming. But we all know the saying: all is fair in love and war.

I don't want to give more away from the plot because you should go into this story with an open heart and mind. Trust this author to give you a touching story about growing up, finding your true self and what gives you purpose in life.
Disgraceful shows that we all make mistakes even with the best intentions because we are human and have our flaws and imperfections.

I truly loved seeing Grace and Sol's development throughout this and the previous book. Grace is still this kind-hearted, caring young woman who loves so deeply and all-consumingly. Sol is still this compassionate and understanding young man who is too hard on himself and a little bit lost after his parents' death. But they've evolved into much stronger versions of themselves. They've definitely learned some important life lessons and grew in maturity and confidence. I sadly can't give away the name of the other guy because it would be a spoiler but I can tell you that he was an endearing character. I promised myself to not fall for him but it was a fruitless venture. I just wanted all three of them to find happiness and love because they all deserved it.

This book ends on a jaw-dropping cliffhanger. It's going to leave you completely breathless and begging for more. I like the way Autumn has decided to turn this story around and I'm very much looking forward to finding out how it continues in Absolution - the final installment in this Trilogy. I highly recommend Disgraceful to every fan of epic, angsty romance love stories. I've devoured this gem and give it 5 shiny stars.

This book had me on an emotional roller coaster. I was so torn for a lot of the book. Torn between what I wanted the outcome to be VS what I thought was the best outcome for the characters. I feel like I know them and I need them to get their HEA. I kept getting so angry at them, then they'd make me cry, then laugh, then I'd forgive them. Gah - I'm all kinds of messed up right now.

And that ending! Gah! Had me yelling at Autumn via messenger

5 angst filled stars!

“I’m standing at a crossroads, and my head is a battlefield.”

This book!! I was not prepared for all the delicious angst in this book! I finished book one wrapping my head around the forbidden aspect of Sol & Grace‘s relationship (Sol wanting to be a priest), to this love triangle in this book! I love Sol and Levi, but who is the best guy for Grace? There is no cheating in this book. Just wanted to clear that up. The end gets....tricky, but...😩

Words cannot express how much I am loving Autumn’s writing, these characters and this twisty angsty storyline. This is just what I needed!!

HOLY ANGST!!! It's going to take me a while to recover from this one. Autumn Grey slayed it! This is book 2 of the Grace Trilogy and it was even better than the first!

Get ready for one hell of an emotional roller coaster. THIS STORY CONSUMED ME! My poor heart couldn't decide if it should be angry or swooning or hurting. I was so conflicted for the entire book. I couldn't decide where I wanted the author to take the story and I had so many moments where I was shouting "Noooo!!!!" to the characters. I AM SUCH A MESS RIGHT NOW YOU HAVE NO IDEA!

The first book was all about Grace and Sol's forbidden relationship which they both fought against so hard due to Sol's commitment to become a priest. Sol begins to question his calling but he realizes that until he figures out the path of his life, he needs to give Grace space. They both agree to go their separate ways with Sol away on missionary trips and Grace starting college. There she meets Levi, a guy who unexpectedly shows up in her life and makes her feel special in a way she never realized she craved.

My poor poor heart! I FELL SO HARD for Levi! I really felt like I was betraying Sol. After the last book there was no question in my mind that Grace and Sol were perfect for each other. But now... I JUST DON'T KNOW! Levi is a soccer player, effortlessly sexy and charming. An ex-playboy with a touch of arrogance but he also has a vulnerability about him that makes him so DAMN LOVEABLE! Sigh! I can't even blame Grace for being so indecisive. She went back and forth with her feelings for both of these guys and I was right there with her. This was an impossible decision!

There was so much passion, lust, heartbreak and swooning going on in this book. I love when a book gets me all riled up, confused and emotional. If you love angst and love triangles then this book will be perfect for you. I couldn't get enough and THAT ENDING! (Me: Holds head and takes deep breaths to try and calm my racing heart).

I think I'm still processing everything that happened in this book... there were so many emotions. But honestly for me what pervailed beginning to end was pure damn ANGST. My goodness, Autumn about killed me and I have no doubt you'll agree with me when you read it. I had been expecting it, I mean I knew how their story had ended before and I knew it was still going to be angsty as heck but I actually had no idea the kind of angst Autumn had in store for us. My heart was constantly acking for Sol, and Grace too but mostly Sol.

Ok, so I think everyone knows this from the blurb and all the teasers that there's a new guy in Grace's life so yes this book is a love triangle.. and boy this might have been one of the angstiest and hardest ones I had to read because that new guy is kind of hard not love too. And trust me I was trying really hard not to like him and I was on pins and needles hoping for him to do something wrong so neither I or Grace had to like anymore. BECAUSE I'M #TEAMSOL ALL THE WAY FOREVER! He's my baby, and I want him happy and to get his girl back!

But yes he was super cute and he really liked Grace BUT he also has baggage, physically and emotionally and that baggage makes him jealous and when he's jealous he is a jerk, so yeah he ain't perfect. Grace is very conflicted, she's still in love with Sol and trying to move on but what she feels for him is unbreakable, unstoppable, then again she really likes the new guy too. I love Grace but I did not like some of her actions, some of her decisions. I get that she wanted to be 1st in Sol's life but I feel like she only ever thought of how he was struggling too after she did something wrong and I just ugh. I really didn't want her and the new guy to happen or for things to go that far because now everyone is hurt and things are not gonna end well on anyone's end no matter who she ends up with. Because I know that third and final book is gonna be angst filled too, I feel a lot of emotions are coming after that ending, and some drama and a whole lot of hurt.

Disgraceful was angst filled goodness through and through. You will feel conflicted (or not) alongside Grace and you will go through things with her like they are happening to you. Autumn's writing is just as beautiful and powerful as ever, and she managed to love her characters more and more. Sol, I just love him to pieces. Grace, I love her but I hate some of her thoughts/actions and new guy well I've said enough on that. But even there's so much more to this trilogy than just the three main characters... there's a lot of second plot lines that I just want more of! I love all the side characters, Ian and MJ are couple and bff goals!!And Grace's mom, I adore her! + all the new characters, I want most of them to get their own books!!! Need them.

As I said, I am and will always be #TeamSol, they are two pieces of the same soul and they are meant to be together. Sol deserves to get his girl after everything he's been through... he's found himself again, kind of and he's ready to fight for her. And he's gonna have to fight hard because she is currently taken by the new guy and things are quite serious. Autumn about killed me with that ending, for real. I was not expecting something like that... then again that moment showed exactly who she should be with. New guy showed his true colors again and Sol was cool, collected and a freaking hero. I could conjure up a thousand theories for how the 3rd book will start but I know Autumn will end up surprising me anyway with something I won't see coming and you know what... I cannot wait. Make my heart hurt reall good but please don't hurt my baby or I will hurt you (kidding, I love you).

Yeah, I love a good love triangle as much as the next gal, but not when one of the guys is still in love with his ex while he's pursuing the heroine.

Um.

Also, this series/book is not steamy at all.

The first one was a slow burn with a very low/mediocre payoff, but this one had no payoff.

The heroine has no sexual chemistry with the second love interest...

At this point, I'm attempting to finish the series because I'm already invested, I guess. (Probably not going to finish it tbh.)

disgraceful by Autumn Grey is the second book of the Grace trilogy and must be read in order. It picks up from the first book where we were left dangling off that horrible cliff with that ending. At the time I thought the world was ending, so diving back in, I was immediately sucked back into that world of love, pain & heartache. It's so crazy to me how quickly my mindset changed, but I honestly think that's due to this author's writing.

What can I tell you about this book? Grace and Sol have my entire heart. And the first few chapters left me in agony, crying and clutching my chest, and I was only on chapter five. It was disturbing to me. Grace and Sol have been through a lot, with their forbidden relationship to ultimately doing what's best for each other, we see them in this book go out to find out who they really are us people. They take much-needed space to really mend their hearts. And it's on these journeys of self-discovery that we things take a very unexpected turn. There were a lot of moments where I wanted to throw my kindle or punch a wall repeatedly. I am not lying when I say that every single character managed to annoy the heck out of me. Ugh. Everything they did annoyed me, they either went against what I wanted to happen or did something completely stupid. But even then I couldn't stop reading. I cannot tell you how intense the feelings I felt were. I was mostly angry and frustrated and definitely heartbroken. I couldn't deal with the angst in this book, it was too much. I can't really go into detail into the events that caused these feelings because I don't want to spoil it, but it has beautifully ruined me. It's been a while since I've read a book that I would give 5 stars for, but I think this book deserves it.

Bravo to Autumn Grey for continuing to write stories that play with our minds, souls, and hearts. My favorite read of 2019 so far and I can't wait for the next book. It seems so far away. Meanwhile, I have to sit here and deal with this major book hangover that I am currently sporting. I can't focus on anything but Grace and Sol. Definitely grab a copy and read this story! Start from the beginning! Experience a love story for the history books and ride the rollercoaster that is the Grace trilogy.

This book split my heart in two. I'm not into love triangles but this one, this one is really killing me. I loved everything about it. Seriously, even though I'm team Sol, I wouldn't mind Grace ending up with Levi. He's just gorgeous and if Grace doesn't want him, I'll take him for myself.

3.5 My First, My Last Stars

I can’t imagine how hard it is to be a writer. To write one book has to be a monumental task. To create multiple books focusing on multiple characters is just too hard to think about.

Torn hearts and adult decisions - this is what Grace Miller and Sol Callan must face either together or separately.

Sol will always be special to me. He’s had to make some huge decisions that not only affect him, but those around him. Grace, on the other hand, was just a little too immature and fickle for me. Instead of the angst I was expecting, it was more frustration than anything. I just had a hard time connecting with her this time around. Young love is tough.

While this one didn’t tug at me like Desolate, it was still an enjoyable read and I’m looking forward to the conclusion.

Autumn Grey, you really know how to keep people dangling off the edge with this trilogy.

Disgraceful picks up where desolate ended and Autumn keeps on this emotional roller coaster ride.

Grace has chosen to walk away Sol, even though it hurts them both. She knows what they were doing was wrong, regardless of how much they love one another. I applaud her for making such a tough decision, but it was necessary for them both.

This book is very much Grace's book. Even though we get POVs from Sol, this book was all about Grace and her growth (or sometimes lack thereof).

For anyone reading further - there are some elements that will tick some readers off. Grace is torn between loving two men. Her actions are those of someone who is conflicted, confused and trying to make the right decisions. I know some readers hate love triangles, so if you are one of them, take precautions when reading this book. However, I feel that Autumn handles this brilliantly and truly doesn't make light of any of the decisions that her characters make.

Autumn has me completely sucked into this story. While I may not be thrilled with the decisions on these characters and they sometimes give me whiplash with their ping pong ways, it's those crazy-haired choices that make this book all the more angsty and entertaining.

I love that this book is told from each character's POV. Autumn adds another layer to this story with adding Levi to the story. I am probably in the minority but I really want to see Grace and Levi together, I really do. It's not that I don't think Sol is right for her, but I think their place in each other's lives was to be each other's first love and that's all.

Disgraceful leaves us dangling from the edge once again. I definitely saw this ending coming before Autumn brought us there, but I wasn't upset by that or letdown. I've just read enough books to have an idea of where things are heading. Regardless, I am still anxious to see what happens in absolution .

First off...this is the 2nd book in a 3 book series and you definitely need to have read the first book before jumping into this one. It picks up right where the first one left off. Second, holy mother of all cliffies at the end of this one too. I'm just going to bash my head off the wall while I wait for the third book to be released. If you don't wait well...you may want to hold out on this one until book 3 comes out.

I'm struggling a little...because parts of this book I loved...other parts, I was a bit more meh about.

I love shapes, okay...let's just put that on the table straight away. I don't hate on books that deal with shapes. 🤫 Where I'm struggling is that our MC, Grace, had a little bit of a shift from the strong, independent woman we'd come to expect her to be in Desolate to a little wishy-washy. Gah, I don't like saying stuff like that because I see where we're going. And where we are headed is good stuffs indeed...I mean, I think it is.

Ms. Grey can write some pretty profound words too. The first line to the book hit me right between the eyes and I actually put my Kindle down for a second and said, wow!

"There’s no sound louder than a heart breaking, yet it’s the most silent sound of all."

Then your heart takes a clobbering from lines like this one...

Sometimes we have to sacrifice something we love because we know we’re not in a good place, no matter how painful.

The Spotify soundtrack is not to be missed either...the way it complements the story is extraordinary. You all know how I am with music...lol!

However, no spoilers. Woo, it's super hard to write a review on this book without dropping a major spoiler or twelve...lol!

Alright, I'm gonna sum it up like this. I enjoyed the book. I'm definitely going to tune in for book 3...Absolution, if only for my own, LOL! I received a copy of this book from the New Adult Book Club to read in exchange for an honest review. 3.5 stars that I will round up to a 4 for the purpose of the Goodreads ranking scale.

Oh my, oh my, what did you do to me, Autumn Grey????

This is book 2 in the Grace Trilogy and thank good there's a third book. We already know, and love, the characters from Desolate and now their story continues.

Grace tries to get her life back without Sol by her side and she's on a good way. Going on a trip across Europe and then to college, meeting new people and old acquaintances again. She's determined to get over Sol. But the heart wants, what the heart wants. And so Sol is always on her mind. Until someone else gets her attention. Although she's unsure of her own feelings she wants to try.

Sol has to bear the consequences for his doing and he has to decide what he wants most in life. After a long separation from Grace he's sure, that she's all he wants. But it looks like Grace already moved on. And now Sol has to fight for the love of his life.

Wow, what an emotional up and down. Through the whole book I was so tense, the anticipation from page to page was killing me. And the angst, oh the angst! My poor heart. And to top it all off: the end, OMG, nasty cliffhanger (this explains book 3 😉). Autumn Grey, you almost killed me but you nailed it (again). I love your writing, I love the stories you tell and the characters you create, how you give them a voice and how we can feel with them. I can't wait to finish this trilogy.

'Disgraceful' is captivating from the very first moment. The emotions you go through while reading feel like riding a roller coaster…
Sometimes the story ripples lightly and happily, like a creek in spring. Then it rushes, gaining speed and depth to overrun one’s emotion over and over…
The predicament the protagonists are in, feel heavy like mountains pressing on one’s soul, and just reading about it tore me into pieces.

This romance… this is totally something else…overwhelming…heartbreaking… epic…
I truly am speechless!

Wow. Autumn Grey certainly wrote her heart out with book two in the Grace series. disgraceful is even more intense than desolate and took me on one heck of an emotional journey. This is clearly Grace Miller's book, focusing on her life post-Sol and the whirlwind that follows. Picking up right where we left off in book 1, this continuation hurt my heart as both Grace and Sol have to come to grips with decisions made that will undoubtedly keep them apart. Decisions that set both of them on a course of discovery, regret, confusion and determination. And in the end, it's the love that still drives each thought for both of them and for me, that gave me enough to hold on to as I fell happily into Grey's words once more.

What is most apparent for Grace is the way she grows in this book. I loved seeing Grace become more self-assured as she navigates college for the first time. With her bestie, MJ by her side, she is a force to be reckoned with. Sure she is still worn down from her secret affair with Sol but she carries on with a grace that is well beyond her years. Her times with MJ and their new 'sister' in Zula are a nice respite from all the turmoil in Grace's head from the radio silence from Sol and the burgeoning and unexpected new feelings for Levi. I liked him ever since meeting him in desolate and I wondered if there might be something there between him and Grace. Theirs is an easy-going kind of relationship, a perfect counter to all the difficulty with trying to be with Sol.

It was very clever of Grey to explore that prediction that the fortune teller told her in book one about their being two meaningful men in Grace's life. Knowing that Sol was clearly one of them, I had a good feeling that Levi would be man number two. And as the story progresses, Grace's heart still has to decide if Levi will always be number two or if he can finally be the man who would truly make her whole again.

I never imagined this would become a love triangle but I like that it's not so black and white. Grace is clearly torn at such a young age about who she should truly be with. She doesn't take any nonsense from either man just wanting to be someone's first choice. Her spirit is wonderful to see as she navigates through a ton of push and pull and just trying to make it through in one piece.

Grey gives us one mother of a cliffhanger as lines are forever blurred with Grace smack dab in the middle of it all. My jaw dropped as those last words were read and I can't even imagine how it might all turn out, hopeful that Grace doesn't get lost among all the wreckage that has become her life.

disgraceful is beyond anything I could've imagined. It's the difficult road that a young college student must navigate with her mind telling her one thing and her heart showing her another. With the perfect amount of insight from both Sol and Levi, I felt as if we truly got the whole story and just how invested each character is in wanting their own happy with the addictive woman that is Grace. Autumn Grey masterfully guides us through all the twists and turns and it's a journey that is not to be missed.

Really well done, I happily give disgraceful a huge 5 stars!

Beta read:

After reading Desolate I couldn't get my hands soon enough on the sequel Disgraceful, which is book #2 in the Grace Trilogy. And let me tell you that it was a hell of an emotional roller-coaster. I'm still recovering from all the angst and heartbreak Autumn Grey put me through! If you think that you already know in which direction this story goes, then let me warn you that you will be majorly surprised. Things will get much more complicated than expected, leaving you with a big bang at the end and your jaw on the floor.

Disgraceful starts off right where we were left after Desolate, where Grace leaves Sol, breaking their both hearts in the process. She always knew that falling for him was wrong, but she did it anyway. Grace wants to be Sol's first and only choice, but she also knows how much his faith means to him and that she can't keep him away from his calling as a priest.

After taking a much needed trip to Europe to clear her head, Grace returns back home in order to start her classes at the university. This is where she meets someone.

Even though she's not ready to put herself back into the dating scene, she can't deny the pull she feels towards him. After all, his dimples, gray eyes and charming personality are hard to resist. Just when things seem to have taken a certain course, Sol suddenly shows up out of the blue ready to fight for her. Now Grace's heart and mind are a war zone where past and present are battling for her forever...

Oh boy did this love triangle consume me! I was constantly torn between team Sol and team "other guy". After all, I never thought that I would like somebody else with Grace too. To be honest, I couldn't hate the other guy, no matter how much I tried! He was very likeable, sweet and funny. Of course I still love Sol with all my heart and soul. This poor guy deserves happiness more than anybody else!

Let me be clear that I didn't blame Grace for falling for another guy. Sol was and is the love of her life. She could never regret him! She only discovered that the human heart has the capacity to love more than one person. Now the big question is, who will Grace choose?

I know a couple of you might now be reluctant to read this book because it contains a love triangle. I'm honestly not a big fan of them either. But let me assure you that Autumn Grey handled this sensitive topic very well! I usually hate one of the three parties involved. But surprisingly here, she made me like all three of them! And that is something worth pointing out!

But reducing Disgraceful to only a love triangle book would not be fair at all. This story is so much more! It's a touching, beautifully written tale about first love, heartbreak and finding your true self. Kudos to Autumn Grey for perfectly capturing the emotional turmoil these young people are going through. I could relate to their struggles and felt so much sympathy for them. Now I'm biting my nails and anxiously waiting for book three Absolution in order to see how the story continues! 5 stars.

Disgraceful picks up right where Desolate left off, with hearts breaking all around. I was so anxious and worried about what was to come, especially once the blurb was revealed and the teasers started. I’m relieved to say, though, that Disgraceful wasn’t quite the angstfest I was expecting. And thank goodness for that! Although I was “ready” for my heart to be shredded, can you really ever be ready for that sort of thing?

Desolate was such a great read, but I didn’t get quite the same feels from Disgraceful. I think maybe it was because the bulk of the story was told from Grace’s point of view and to be honest, I’m not her biggest fan. I know things are still so up in the air with her and Sol, they’re both trying to figure out what they want out of life. Grace is doing her best to move on, while Sol is working on coming to terms with the decisions he’s made. I adore Sol and really want him to be happy, and at this point I’m not so sure it’s with Grace. Yes, they have a heavy history and such chemistry, but it just might be too much to sustain.

I am anxious to see where Ms. Grey will be taking us in the final book in the trilogy. We're left with quite the cliffhanger, both literally and figuratively! I really want Sol to get his happily ever after, but I think we're in for another roller coaster of a ride before he gets there.

Oh my heart......it hurts right now, as I was not fully prepared for the intensity of the words that filled the pages of disgraceful. My heart truly would not stop pounding as I devoured this story - just a crazy ride of emotions and I can only imagine what I was feeling was an inkling of how Grace was feeling being torn between those that completely captured her heart. What I had hoped would happen wasn't anywhere near what happened, but I'm so conflicted on how I want this to end. Both blue and gray eyes each have their flaws, but they both love Grace with their whole hearts - but which love is that all consuming passionate love that she can't live without? Ugh, I keep going back and forth but I just can't choose one - why can't Autumn make it easy on us?

And seriously - that ending. Yep. Heart smashed. In pieces. I don't know how patiently I can wait to see how this all plays out.

I've been wanting and wanting for the contination of Grace and Sol's story SO MUCH, FOR SO LONG because Book#1 broke me. These two characters BROKE ME but in the most beautiful ways. It's one of my ALL-TIME FAVOURITE BOOKS, EVER so waiting for this felt like an ETERNITY! OMG.... and having finished it Autumn went and broke me, AGAIN! Harder this time because what she wrote, what these two are going through now just hurts my brain and heart so, so much. And THAT ending, HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!.... my heart still twists from thinking about it. I'm a complete MESS, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Books become family and Disgraceful will always be a part of me. I KNOW this whole series will be, as I eagerly sit (oh so, not so patiently) for Book#3. Whatevers coming next?.... *hyperventilates at the thought*

*ARC kindly given in exchange for an honest review, thank you so much*

Avoiding this serial and author like a plague. I don't trust authors who ruin the book's sequel.
Stupid love triangle.♻️
I'm not keen with MC having sex with OP, and that's what Grace and OM Levi did ON FK!NG PAGE, book #2 75%. Yeah they're in a relationship and she moved on yada yada yada– while pining on H Sol. Lmao.🤡
Strong girls don't need boys to move on, well, unless it's for cheap, trashy angst plot device. 🤡

✨ DREAMY’S REVIEW ✨

“Our love was a tragedy from the start, but like addicts, we kept coming back for more, until, eventually, something had to give.”

When I tell you that Disgraceful by Autumn Grey broke me, I’m so serious! I’ve been eagerly waiting for this read because ever since the cliffhanger that tore my heart into shreds in Desolate! In short, I needed more. So much more! I need to continue to #SinWithSol.

Grey delivered with her mesmerizing, enthralling, and poetic way of writing, the way she pours so much emotion and depth to her plot and characters, and the way she’s able to weave a beautiful and yet devastating forbidden and emotional love story between two characters trying to find peace and solace after heartache.

Disgraceful broke me in the most beautiful ways! It really packed a punch in the intensity of emotions, angst, anguish, and heartbreak!

Picking right up after where we’ve left in book one, Desolate, Grace and Sol have to live in the aftermath and continued heartache after the decisions that were made. Decisions that set these two characters on a clear path to self-discovery/realization, regret and anguish, confusion, clarity, how to live without one another, and who’s worth fighting for.

“My head is in a war zone, and no one can rescue me. I have to rescue myself.”

It’s so clear, present, known, and in your face that love is still there between Grace and Sol. It’s epic, undeniable, it’s real, it’s raw in its purest form, it’s a love so deep and powerful.

“Sometimes we have to sacrifice something we love because we know we’re not in a good place, no matter how painful. Or that’s what I’ve convinced myself.”

You see that?! THAT type of love... Sol and Grace... it’s the type of love that consumes you, all of you!

Your heart, your mind, your Sol.

I loved seeing Grace and Sol’s development, growth, and depth throughout this book from the previous.

I love how Grace has become more confident in herself as she steps into college and adulthood. She’s always been one to be so kind-hearted who loves to deeply and can see so much in everything.

“Two months ago, I walked away from the boy I loved. Still love.”

Even after all the heartbreak and navigating through life that Grace had to do, she did it with a fierceness and strength and determination that I admired so much!

I love how Sol is still so compassionate, understanding, and loyal to after having gone through his parents death, his break up with Grace, and realizing the what consequences lie ahead after doing something you’ve vowed not to.

“My whole existence narrowed down to serving God and the church. Until last summer when my life spiraled off it’s axis, leaving me pulling at invisible threads to stitch my life back together.”

These two had major growth in life and maturity, and learned so much in the time that was needed.

...And then enters gray-eyes. Let me be completely honest here, I don’t blame Grace. Not for one second. I don’t blame her for how she felt and I don’t blame her for how torn her heart and mind were.

“All of a sudden, I fell the weight of my past and present bearing down on me.”

The minute you think you know everything, let me tell you that you don’t. You will be surprised what in what happens, what decisions are made, and more importantly, where the heart lies. Things get complicated and messy and even so, there is beauty in all of it.

“We’re two people whose hearts are broken but still crave something, someone. We’re hearts on Fire.”

Blue eyes and gray eyes have their personal flaws and struggles, and yet have their eyes set on Grace, in whom learns that the heart has the capacity to invite love for more than one person.

But which one is the passionate, all-consuming love that she needs and cannot live without?

This book ends on a jaw-dropping, OMG, WHAT JUST HAPPENED cliffhanger!! I love it!!! It’s going to have you begging for more! Luckily, I love cliffhangers and this one threw me in for a loop!

Autumn Grey writes so eloquently and with so much heart! I can practically feel it through the pages, she’s poured her Sol into it. She truly captured the emotional anguish and turmoil, internal struggle and battle the mind and the heart have between two young people with a love so deep, all-consuming, and an unspoken level.

This sensitive and tough subject matter was handled so beautifully!

Autumn, I love and admire your brilliantly beautiful mind! You are a master in your beautiful craft and I cannot even express how much I have fallen in love with your words. Disgraceful was so worth the wait AND more.

Lovelies, read THIS book! This trilogy is more than just a forbidden romance, it’s an emotional journey. If you have yet to meet Sol and Grace, start with Desolate! You won’t be disappointed! It’s a slow burn in the most delicious ways!

With everything being said... I cannot wait, CANNOT WAIT for Absolution, the final installment for this trilogy! I am eager to find out what happens next for our characters and their story. #OhMySol

“What I feel for her... it’s the kind of love that tilts my world off its axis.”
