Twin reincarnations? Royal familiars? Lurking shadows? The dead rising? I thought my life couldn't be any more complicated, but it seems fate has a way of constantly introducing more chaos.
Not so long ago, the biggest worry on the Notorious Five's plate was surviving Semester Six. But the exam is over and things are a more confusing mess than ever. Sure, summer provided a brief respite, but as we prepare for our final year at Witchling Academy, more secrets come to light and we're left to prepare for the toughest two semesters of our lives.
Alice Blaze is with us as we enter Semester Seven, and her abrupt introduction into our lives has brought forth dangerous flames from the hidden enemy. I'm not ready to back down, and neither are my men, best friends, and growing allies, but when a new drug is introduced to the student body, it's the student council's job to find the culprit while juggling academic challenges.
And that's not all.
With Connor's family problems and Kaito's sudden disappearance thrown in, I, Brianne Marie Harlow, have to figure out the solution to the cascade of challenges coming our way. But we're racing against a ticking clock, and it's only a matter of time before it comes to a dramatic stop.
Semester Seven is about survival of the worthiest, and for everyone's sake, it's time to unlock my demigod powers hidden deep within.
This book just made want to throw things. It was thrilling from start to finish. It's never dull and provides plenty of answers after getting to the summer and letting everyone have some fun. Brianna is hilarious in this one. The girl needs to learn the way of life given her reaction to certain things. This book focuses a few things that readers of this series will enjoy. Given that we have come so far, there a lot of the guys in action in this one which I couldn't complain.
The guys really shape up in this one in many ways and reveal a lot about themselves. There was one thing about a guy that I really enjoyed as it allowed us to see something we knew about but never had been show previously. It pushed aside the twins to minor role given the circumstances but I couldn't hate it.
As there a few surprises and nods to the past that allows things to make sense that you may have never questioned. It's genius and adds to the mystery that we have been following for so long with the gang. With the final semester upon them and Song throwing more then her fair share of drama and action in this one. How are things going to end ?
Witchling Academy returns with Semester 7 in Avery Song's Spell Traveler Chronicles of Brianne Harlow. Brianne and her boyfriends are back with a few familiar additions as well. Her two familiars, Professor Phoenix, and Alice from Blazing Academy. Things start out a bit slow with this book, but after the first couple of chapters, things get in gear and become a real page-turner of a story. For me, this story started off a bit slow. I enjoyed the prologue because it gave us a rare scene with Finnick and I felt that in a way it was a bit of a healing moment for him as well. Closure, healing, and a path to moving forward for his character. I was waiting for it to tie into the main story, and while that really doesn't happen in the way that I was looking for, it's a good piece of the story that I liked as it does tie in later. The storyline muddles around here and there, but I like it when it is focused and flows along letting me know that the author has hit her stride at the moment and is creating something special. I have to admit that I found a couple of things annoying in this book. Some of the language that the characters use...it's just too juvenile and childish for me. I mean...winky dink? Seriously? And Bri's naivety? I think that at this point...it's being stretched a bit far in my opinion. I say this because in one book the twins (Mia and Miya) were "teaching/helping her research" various things, but now she is using terms and doesn't really know what they mean? I find it a bit far-fetched. Also, why call one of the guys instead of just researching it on her own? Yes, the author comes back and gives an explanation, but it's still a bit hard to swallow on that aspect. But that's just my opinion. I'd understand if she was 16 still, but she's 19 and they have all come a long way. This book has a lot of good elements to it that help to outweigh the negatives that I found detracting for me personally in this book, but the negatives are mostly minor and spaced out. One scene is near the beginning and soon enough pushed to the side, and the silly childish language is scattered throughout with more "adult" language sprinkled in. I did enjoy this book so I am only taking off half a star for the negatives that I pointed out. I'm sure that others won't be as annoyed by those aspects. LOL! I am rating this book 4.5 out of 5 stars. I love that the familiars get more attention in this book and get to be a bigger part of the storyline. While Alice makes an appearance in this book, she is relegated to being a side character for the most part, but she's not completely shoved aside. I'm curious to see where the author is going to take things from here. Time will only tell, and we'll just have to be patient. Enjoy!
This series NEVER ever disappoints!! It just continues to get better and better! The adventure bigger, betrayals deeper, secrets even crazier! I love seeing all of our fave characters grow in each semester. This semester most definitely didn't disappoint! Just when you think they've conquered their test for the semester yet ANOTHER shocker, betrayal, secret of bad guy emerges. I absolutely can't wait to see what's up next!
This Was An Exciting Read, Back To Its Roots!!🎉🙏💘🔥 4.5 Stars 🌟 Lots Of New Revelations & Personal Growth!😍 (Read using Kindle Unlimited) Witchling Academy : Semester Seven (Spell Traveler Chronicles #7)
This felt like the Author had taken her storytelling back to its original roots in its pace, excitement & flow!🙏🎉 I'm so happy about this as the last few books have been a real struggle to get through.😔 I applaud her gumption in mixing it back up & getting back to the important things drew us all in to start with - Action, Sassiness, Fun, Learning, Loving, Supporting & Overcoming, with the added bonus of grown up steamy hotness!!😍💘🔥
The storylines for this book were both complex & simple at the same time. Personal growth to fight the Dark Kingdom but excepting your own inner darkness as an asset rather than a evil hindrance is a battle they each face alone, some better than others!😳 More reveals about their pasts are given & some feisty women from other Academies may make appearances.😉 Bri aids in the massive take down of a big bad we didn't see coming too!😎👍
This book definitely started with a bang, and then proceeded to keep blasting away at everything we thought we knew about Brianne and the Notorious 4.
Through the last few books we have seen a steady progression in growth in the group. But this books kicks it up 3 notches!
As Brianne and the Notorious 4 enjoy a much needed vacation and one another’s company, one of the four’s father’s seems determined to take back what he carelessly gave away. But with the team working as a stronger unit, plans are interrupted and the team is once again victorious.
But as the beginning of semester 7 begins, the Dark Kingdom, has new players that they are introducing into their world, and the team needs to learn how to embrace the darkness within themselves or be forever lost and a puppet to the grand puppet master.
Join Bri and her men as she learns that some of the things she thought she knew about evil were incorrect. Not all things that begin in the darkness are evil, and last but not least...your weaknesses can turn out to be your greatest strengths.
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
I cannot believe this series is almost over!! Bri and her men are such a fascinating crew that have really grown as this series has developed. They are not quite done yet as they get ready semester seven and all it will entail. The Shadow Kingdom is determined to keep them from fulfilling the prophecy no matter what it takes for them to do this. This makes things quite dangerous for our group as they have to stay on their toes in order to come out on the side. The desperation of the bad guys is really ramping things up as they run out of time. Full of character growth, danger, emotional scenes, steam, and so much more all combine so you won't be able to stop reading. Semester eight is going to be truly epic by this point. Total must read!! I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
This series just gets more and more intense and complicated as it continues. The intricate details, planning and entertaining characters just get so much better as the series progresses. It has been incredible to read how these characters have grown, thrived and come together over and over again through every trial and all the evil thrust their way. All the while they grow and mature and out shine it all with their love and devotion. The fun and excitement they manage to find throughout it all made me as a reader laugh out loud. As well as the depth of emotion Avery Song manages to portray also brought tears to my eyes. This has definitely been a wonderful series to experience, I can't wait for the next book and recommend to anyone that enjoys the RH and paranormal genre to read this series!
I love the Brianne and her Notorious Four! Looking forward to the next book!!
Finally!! Witchling Academy 7 is here!! This book series is one of my favorites. I love how naive yet strong Brianne is. She’s grown more comfortable in her own skin and I love her darker side!
This semester Brianne and her men are starting to realize that not everything is what it has seemed, her enemies might not have been who she thought they were. A lot of new information comes to light. There will be trails to prevail and fail. Without fail there won’t be a prevail in the future!
Super exciting story, I loved all the twists and turns. Amazing work by Avery Song, thank you for this awesome book! And I’m sooo looking forward to the next;)

Adult content, reader discretion advised. This is a build up book preparing the characters for the next book so not as not as some of the prior books. This book is more about accepting that darkness is not always bad. We dream in darkness when we sleep. We celebrate in darkness like New Years and July 4th. We love in darkness cuz that is when most of have time for coupling. We also find our most true selves in darkness like meditation. This book is about the characters learning to accept that darkness does not equal evil and light does not equal good with Kaito and Bri being the main focus of this lesson.
As Bri and her Notorious Four get stronger and more powerful, the Shadow Kingdom will stop at nothing to destroy everything and everyone dear to them. This was such a great story of rising above adversity and working hard to obtain your goals. With enough down, and sexy, times to relieve the tension of the absolute insanity of their fight against darkness, Bri and the boys are really put to the test in Semester Seven. As the prophesy comes closer to fruition, and the puzzle pieces really start being put in place, the ride just gets more and more exciting. A fun, wild read!!
Aww! Fuwa! Raising the bar for older god brothers everywhere. Lol. I am soooo gonna need a god/demigod family tree map of EVERYONE when all is said and done! I love Miss Electra! She’s hilarious! Curious what she’s the goddess of? Raphael, what’s he the god of? Since when is he a professor? Never thought about it before but what goddess is Professor Phoenix? Will we meet the rest of her lovers? Finnick gets all the feels!! So much growth in this book. Omg. Little kid Fuwa and Cyrus bickering is the best. 😂 I love Brianne’s growth in this book. Can’t wait for the final book!!!

The opening of the book had me in tears, and shit became a whirlwind from there. Holy smokes! First off, wow, info overload, and let me say Bri becomes such a badass! Her growth from semester 1 till now is very obvious and she is finally embracing who she has become. Yes, Alice is in here and I recommend reading Blazing Academy 1 first. I need to go back to my map to see how much these worlds intertwined. I dont wanna give any spoilers, but the revelations are mind numbing and you will not put this book down!
This semester was exciting and alot darker than ever before. This book was more sexually charged and had a great story line... With every book questions are answered and then your left with even more new questions... Avery is a great writer she knows how to draw u in and keep u close but also how to keep u coming back for more. Ready for the final semester of witchling academy and what happens after they graduate cuz we all know they will. 🤯😁
I liked this book. Things were explained a bit better in this book so things were starting to make sense. I really loved how the fmc went to being a badass detective. She pulled all tjay out of no where and b!+ch slapped the biological sperm donor of one of her guys father. I loved it. I’m glad to hear that there is potential for redemption of certain characters. I kinda lost hope there. I’m also worried about him for some reason. Ugh. I just hope she gets her best friend back. The next book is a big one. Can’t wait!
As these books continue I just get more and more confused…its so many bris and jaxsons running around , twin this evil twin that a daughter demigod this.
The older god brother who is a familiar this…I love it but its a lot.
But again I love it because the world building is so clearly thought out and you can tell a lot of thought and care/ patience went into building the history and the story.
Very good book I will have to read this series again when I’m a lot more patient and able to absorb every detail.

This one tugged at my heart strings! Ive loved Brianne and all of the characters since book one and it just continues to get better. I loved that Alice was in this book as well and that they grow a friendship together. The information you get about her familiar and Jax is an in depth to what we already know from previous books but so much more. My heart was dying about Kaito! And I love finnick!
This was fantastic. Well written and captivating. Avery Song has has written a brilliant book, that is another one in a captivating series.
Brianne and the notorious four go through immense growth in this book. It was so great to see them sort themselves out. Without giving any spoilers away this is a heart wrenching and heart warming book.
I cannot wait to see where this will go and what will happen .
Our cute, naive, smart and brave Red is growing up. If i was to read book one and this one right after each other, I would hardly recognize her and the guys. They are still kind, funny and brave.. All they have gone through during their years in Witchling is making and honing their skills and personalities into young adults with maturity and strength. I don’t want to spoil anything so all i can tell you is to pick up the series if you haven’t already and start reading.
I love how the book continues on from where the last one let finishes.
This book is packed with adventure i laughed so much. I love how brianne has become more confident with her notorious 4. This book has every thing from action and adventure to unconditional love. We get to see Connor parents and how the student councils ideas have made a difference. I absolutely love these characters
How much darkness, is too much darkness? For Bri and herr men that is the main question. We all have a little darkness inside of us. But how much is too much and is all darkness created equal. This book examines those questions while leading us into a new war for Book 8.
Alice as an additional character was a plus. But her story is still waiting to be told. So we need to read Blazing Academy to see what happens when Bri and Alice come together.
Wow what can I say other than yet another epically twisty, mind bending and utterly explicit book. In this book we get to learn alot more about all the challenges especially an amazing discovery about Brianne's familiar which includes Jax. We also get to see Brianne bond with Alice from Blazing academy series, and so so much more. I could write so much about this book here but I wont spoil the read so just go pick this epic read up today.
So starts the beginning of the end. Our characters are entering their last year, but that doesn't mean things are going to get easy. Far from it. I loved how this book gave some answers, while also bringing everyone closer together. The bonds formed are growing more and we are starting to see where this is really headed. It was nice to see interactions with Bri and Alice, as well as learn more about Conner. The ending left me pumped for the next book and I can't wait to see what happens.
I am absolutely in love with Avery Song and wish I could live in her head so I don’t have to wait for the next book.
Like so much of her work this book is full of twists and turns, deals with some complex thoughts and emotions and never hides from the difficult things in life. It’s amazing to see more of the cross overs and how each book connects, to learn more about each character.
Semester 7 is all about darkness and embracing flaws and asking for help from loved ones and professionals. The dark themes went from oppression and exploitation, as well as, depression, and that not all darkness is considered evil. I love how Brianne continues to surprise us with her sharp thinking, her kindness, and her protectiveness of her Notorious 4. I recommend semester 7, and cannot wait for semester 8.
The Witchling series has become one of my favorite places to visit. I love how all the characters personalities mesh together and how they all play out during different scenes. The adventure of this series has always pulled at me. But what pulls me in even more I think is the fun and high jinks that this crew can get up to together. I just love how they are always there for each other. I’m going to be sorry when this series ends.
Finn!!!! I am absolutely falling in love with him!! The Spell Travel with Silver gave me life!! This is as completely, absolutely the best book I’ve read this month. It could be since I’ve always lived Bri’s innocence and seeing her grow into a woman is so great! I can’t wait for the next book and to see how all these series come together!!!
What a rollercoaster!!! From the very beginning brianna grabs you and will not let go. The ups and the downs will leave you're butt hurting from clenching so much! I have always loved brianna and the notorious men. You can really see bri grow up and pick up the role of bada** and run with it. I cannot wait for the next one!
Breanne and the guys have grown so much in this series and semester 7 shows even more growth and insight. A much needed vacation for them all. Getting stalked by the dark side and put into compromising positions....Bree truly shines in this book!! This book was absolutely inspiring and I couldn't put it down.
Such a great series and this book just added to it. While I wish that Bri was a bit more mature, I do sometimes enjoy her nauvity with the guys. I also enjoy having their familars getting more of a role in this book. And Finnick, along with Kaito are my two favorite guys and we learned more about them and see them grow closer. Cant wait to see where the next book takes us!!
