Hi, I'm M.M. Crumley Your Author Extraordinaire (Also Known as M.M. Boulder)
As M.M. Crumley I write Urban Fantasy books full of supernatural action, nail-biting-mystery and; laugh-out-loud humor. Why? Because stories, myths, and legends have always been a huge part of my life... As a child, I liked nothing better than to lose myself in a world where magic and heroes were part of the fabric of existence.
As my pen name M.M. Boulder I write psychological thrillers and murder mysteries that bring the darker impulses we may not feel completely comfortable with into the light. My stories are full of lies and deaths, but there is always justice. A type of justice that's not afraid to get its hands dirty. I write morally ambiguous characters who are pushed to their limits and take matters into their own hands. In my world getting away with murder has never been so much fun!
No matter what I write every one of my characters are real to me. They exist. They are three-dimensional beings who demand that their stories be told. If I were to turn away from them, they would haunt me; and so I don't. Instead I chase after them and write down everything they say!

If you like to read an entertaining story with interesting characters who seem real and you care about, this is the author for you. There are real life truths if you pay attention and a few made me weep because I’ve experienced the same thing. The stories aren’t predictable which keeps your attention. If you never grew up inside but just got older, this series will make the years fall away.
7 books following Andrew as he struggles to walk two life times while growing from a scared 13 year old to a young man. A truly great trip threw so much action, emotional rollercoaster as Andrew, Pecos Bill and all their friends race towards their destiny. This is a must read series. The first book might be a little slow getting started but stay with it.
Everything about this series is amazing. I've never read anything like it. So many great characters with depth and unique personalities. I really wish there were more books, but the author shared her whole story. Urban fantasy at its finest.
This series is so Harry Potteresque - a young boy finds himself in a fantastical situation, living a life he could only dream of. Yet, as the boy realizes his powers, the world gets darker and grimmer. If I had started with book 7 I am sure I would not have gotten involved with the series. But, having started at the beginning, I was totally intrigued by the end.
The Doc Holliday series was slow to start. I don't get attached till book two. I kept reading because it had all the right things to make a good story. Now at the end of Andrews story. Andrews story is sad compared to Doc but it works. Keep reading.
Warpath is the seventh and final (cries forever) book in The Legend of Andrew Rufus by M. M. Crumley.
Wow. I new the big battle was coming but it was surprising. In how long it lasted. In the horrors of all who died and devastation she brought to the people who lived within his town. I'm not as shocked as I wish I was that there despicable people who started worshipping her in the short but weary time she imprisoned the area with her power.
The final takedown was perfection. He finally bamboozled her. Finally tapped into the power completely, become one with it. The memories he made, the lessons he learned, the battles he fought made this book irresistible.
Clara became annoying in this book. Always demanding answers even when he didn't have any to give. Wrongfully distrusting his intentions when he was in the thick of the destruction. Reminded me somewhat of his mother when she so desperately clung to normal. These are the two things that make it hard to completely feel satisfied with how Andrew Rufus' story has ended. Clara's frustrating behavior in this book, and that Emily and Vick both died. I wish he could have saved them. They deserved more than two years of happiness together. Actually, there's three upsetting factors, the final one being that we never truly got to experience Jane Falke. Now, that's a tragedy. I was excited to meet her.
I do like what became of Aylen and Pecos. Even if I just can't find it in myself to feel like this story is over. I wonder what Ahanu is supposed to be up to now? Is that related to Doc's story, or something else? I hope there's at least one more spin-off. I'm entirely too addicted to this universe, these characters, the way the author has shaped the magic of this world.
It still shocks me that Andrew never stumbled across the Hidden.
OMG!!! Yes… you will cry. For the ending and the end.
I am amazed at this series! I almost couldn’t read them fast enough but I was able to slow myself down and enjoy the construction of the world of Andrew Rufus. If you are a lover magic, mystery, adventure and a good..no GREAT cowboy story, then this series is for you.
This final book had me on the edge. Enough twists and turns to keep you interested and at the same time, a reminder to look around us. Take notice of the world and the people in it. The description in the story of everything gave my mind’s eye a full view. I felt a part of the story as enough details was given but not too much. Every character within the story had a purpose, some small, some larger.
If you’ve made it this far then you will be happy even though it’s the final book. It’s one of those situations where YES, I would love more BUT it’s a good end. Very few books make me tear up with joy and sadness, this book did that.
Ms. Crumley is an amazing writer. I read her free book from her website, The Immortal Doc Holliday: Regnum and was hooked. The characters reminded me of my aunts, uncles, great-aunts, and great-uncles. Ms. Crumley gave me images of them though this series of books and reminded me of the joy I have for them.
If you might be on the fence.. go to her website and find the free ebook. Read it and decide for yourself. I believe once you read it, you too will be hooked.
I was happily reading a book series, The Immortal Doc Holiday, when I saw a note that said there was interplay between the Doc Holiday series and The Legend of Andrew Rufus series. I went ahead and got the entire Andrew Rufus series and read them all. I felt like I was right there in the South West, choking on dust and whining about peeling sunburns. For days I walked around singing the Pecos Bill theme from the old Disney show that I loved as a child. In some ways I felt like I was living this story myself. At the beginning of the Warpath book I shared Andrews anger and grief. I wondered how one could win against impossible odds and unspeakable evil. All along the way I wondered when Andrew would actually learn to throw a rope. In the end, I loved the ending. I never saw it coming and it was so fulfilling for me. This is a good story by a good writer. Now it's back to the Doc Holiday series so I can see what is going on there.
Wow! I loved this series from start to end! It made me laugh out loud and cry in places! Everything about these books show love from the author! I didn't want them to end, I only read these after reading the doc holiday series, the only down side is you never see the 2 characters together! I'm really hoping there's one in the works! This is the sort of book I'll read twice and there's not many books in that category! Thank you
The end. If you're looking for a idyllic happy ending, perfect in every way... do not read this book. It was even hard to write sometimes, but it had to be done. This is Andrew at his worst and his best and his lowest and his most triumphant. But it's not pretty. And I wouldn't have it any other way.
The 1st 5 books were excellent. I devoured them. Book 6 & 7 should have the "Reader's Digest Condensed" treatment and be released as 1 book. There's only so much eating of raw meat, and blood, and angst, and guilt, and chest beating one can take, before it's just over the top!
As a series, this has been amazing. So full of adventure and magic, but also thought provoking, intense and emotional, darkness as well as light, laughter as well as tears. Having finished this final book I feel a little bereft, but also happy that there is a conclusion for Andrew, although never an end…as ‘the end is not yet written’
Loved all the characters and such a dynamic tale. 5 stars for the series. Hated for it to end. Definitely recommend to anyone with a love for the old west plus a thirst for magic and dab of horror.
I was very satisfied with the end of the Andrew Rufus series!! But I am also sad that it had to end. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading all of these epic stories!Thank you for sharing them with us!
I loved this series but only read it to get a better understanding of The Immortal Doc Holiday series. I wasn’t prepared to get so attached to these characters and this book actually made me cry reading all the struggles and loneliness that Andrew faced. There are some plot twists that I did not expect and was really sad that the series ended. The greedy reader in me wanted more adventures with Andrew and the Cowboys
This is a series well worth reading, purely and simply a great story. Well written full of excitement and humor and ends well which in this world of stories that don't always end with the good guys winning is frankly a relief. To the author a request to just keep on writing these great tales that take you to a place that the good guys live.
