For five long years, I echoed the words honor, loyalty, and brotherhood off my prison cell walls. It's all that's kept me going. Now on the outside, seeing my club all twisted up, all I want is my freedom, freedom from everything--including that brotherhood.
Pres wants one last ride out of me then all my debts are paid.
Bullets, fire, a goddamned army, nothing will keep me from finishing this run! Except for the one thing I hadn't counted on.
A girl named Maya.

Wow ! Just Wow ! I don't know what to say about this book other than that this book was so frig- gin awesome from beginning to end.The story started off right with a bang and continued to be an intense read from there on out out to the very end and I have to say that I was literally on the seat of my pants the entire time and shed a few tears along the way.
I absolutely loved this stories characters and we fell head over heels for Hendrix right from the very beginning but, Maya we loved just as much what a strong and confident women and with everything she endured she stayed strong because throughout the story this women was betrayed time and time again." Talk about heart pounding and super intense as you never saw what new bomb would be dropping next and some of those bombs had your mouth hanging wide open !"
Hendrix was one of those who was characters that started out as a bit of a douche and then was taken down a peg or two quite quickly but, that man was super smart and clever all alpha but, he was also loyal, kind, caring and had a large heart and we loved how protective of his club and eventually his women he was.
Maya was one strong and determined women .After everything this women was dealt and was done to her she carried on and was determined to finished what she started as others like her would have just crumpled and given up but, not Maya she soldiered on."This women totally Rocked !"
The chemistry between Hendrix and Maya was hotter the hell and boy did things heat up mighty quickly as they became scorching real quick ! "Just loved them together !"
Overall we loved everything about this story and the ending of it was fantastic! The characters were totally awesome and where you fell hard for some others you just despised and had you wanting to seek your own personal justice done to your favorite characters.
This was a brand new author for us and our first read by them and the only thing I can say was I was blown away by the story." It was just that good !"I haven't really really been excited about an author this way in a really long time but, this author did just that! I need to go back and read book one but, after reading book two I can't wait to see more of this series as we are already half in love with this author already or perhaps have already fallen but, bottom line is that we could not say enough about how much we enjoyed this story as it was simply amazing !
Hot, gritty, intense and oh, so bad; that’s exactly what you get in this MC book. I was thrilled to finally have a MC book that wasn’t afraid to give it to me good and hard. Yeah, I know there are MC’s out there that are on the “nicer” side but not the Steel Veins. You get every bit of nasty, raunchy, murderous bikers which wouldn’t let me put the book down. This is for the hard core MC lovers out there who won’t wilt away from the extent of this book.
You better be ok with violence and all out debauchery if you pick this up but it also gave me the hero which took me on the ride of my life. Who can’t love a bad boy who know when a little sense of humor is needed?! As for Maya she knew what was really important in life and did whatever she could to protect the ones she loved.
On a side note; make sure you look for an old couple who Hendrix and Maya encounter on their run. They were that little bit of brightness/humor that you needed just to clean the palate. Love this book and I highly recommend it.
All I have to say about this book is it was intense, like Holy s**t!! This story took you on an emotional ride that you just didn’t want to get off. there is humor, danger and romance in this action packed story that centers around Maya and Hendrix. once I got started I couldn’t put it down. I highly recommend this book!
The very talented Jackson Kane knows how to keep my heart racing & f-bombs dropping with his Steel Veins series, and it's ONLY the second book! Burn Up is Hendrix's story, who has always been loyal to his MC, even in prison, but after he's released, it doesn't take him long at all to see that things have changed & not in a good way, so he's just done. He's asked to make one more run, and the loyal dude he is (though loyalty isn't quite what it was before he went down the river), he says he'll do it, despite not wanting to. See, it's going to be dangerous but he wants out so badly that he'll pay the price for his freedom. Maya is set on saving her sister, and she needs the help of Hendrix's MC to do it. Obviously, it's dangerous but she's willing to do anything for her sister, even putting her own life on the line to get her away from their father, a baddie in the MC world, including enlisting the help of a rival MC. Man, this story kept me on the edge of my seat dropping loud f-bombs over & over again, as the twists were next level insane! Not only that, but the sexy times were off the charts HOT HOT HOT, and this dark, gritty story had my inner dark & twisty self very satisfied! So, when these two join forces, can they take down her father & save Maya's sister?! Hit on that one click button to find out, as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
"I didn't know if Maya was just a welcome distraction from the pain, or if she was the staples and duct tape that my heart needed in order to mend."
Maya Merrit has one goal - to get her younger sister away from the monster they call their father. But, in order to do that, she needs whatever her late mother put in that safe deposit box - and the only person that can help her get to it is her uncle, Robbie. Now, she finds herself embroiled in the violence and debauchary of his MC, the Coffin Eaters, and she sees no escape. When things go horribly wrong, she expects this will only end in her death. What she didn't expect is a long-haired, tattooed, knight on a steel horse to rescue her. Is he the key to her salvation? With the hurdles in front of them, and an angry club close on their heels, can she risk giving in to her feelings for him? This can only end badly. Right?
Hendrix Cedro has one goal - to be free from the MC life. He's done is his time - both in prison, and with the club. With the changing of the leadership of the Coffin Eaters, he's ready to try to live a normal life. But, the new leader, Tex, demands he take part in one more ride - one that will surely end him back in prison for good - or he'll never be let out of the club alive. Then, she showed up. She has no place being here, and there's a mysterious connection to one of the club members, Skids, that makes him question her motives. When it all hits the fan, and the bullets are flying, he finds himself her protector and rescuer - two things he never expected himself to be. Now, on the run, can the two make it to freedom before their tracked down? With the feelings building between them, can they dare envision a future when the past is so close behind?
I will admit that I'm not a big MC romance reader. In fact, this was my first. I enjoyed the story line and it did have me on the edge of my seat in places. Hendrix, of course, was the ultimate hero - broken, self-tortured, the unexpected savior, and anatomically blessed in all the right places. Right up my alley. There is a trigger waring in the beginning of the book, and if you are sensitive to those triggers, you might want to take a pass. There is extreme violence and bloodshed, kidnapping, near rape, and other triggers.
Get ready for a dark, wild ride with Hendrix and Maya!
This book starts off with a deliciously dark prologue that has one of the most debauched scenes I've ever read. I wasn't sure how Hendrix would be able to come across as a man I could root for after all that, but the author did a fantastic job of showing us his transformation both in and out of prison.
It doesn't take long for us to realize the connection that brings Hendrix and Maya into each other's lives, and by that time we know just how dangerous their association is going to be. The action is non-stop and brutally authentic, and kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the non-stop read.
The family secrets come crashing down in the final scenes, and all I can say is, "Wow!" This book does a solid job of showing us the difference between "good" MCs and truly evil ones. Hendrix and Maya's HEA is a perfect resolution to that conflict.
This book is not for the faint-hearted - and that's not a criticism of the writing, just a word to the wise. If you like hearts and flowers and happy endings for everyone involved, this book is going to rip your heart out. Conflicts are resolved, but the price they pay is steep, indeed. If you like your MC romances raw and gritty and built on the unvarnished truth, you'll love this series as much as I do. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Hendrix Cedro/Junkyard, founding member of the Coffin Eaters MC gang, spent too many years in prison after being set up by his Club's new Prez. Tex. The more that Hendrix is around Tex and the new membership, he realizes this is not the life for him anymore. The first day of his freedom, Hendrix was told he had no choice but to go on this run with the club to deliver a van loaded with cocaine to another MC club. Tex "promises" Hendrix that after this run, he will get paid well and granted retirement from the club.
Hendrix finds himself the protector of a female non-member, Maya, who was introduced to the group by his old friend Skid/Robbie. Maya has more bravery in her than he expected and is adamant about hating biker clubs. Which is understandable as her father is the Pres of a rival club and has no problem killing to get what he wants.
There is drama to the max including murder, blood and gore. There are light-hearted moments as well and parts where the reader is so shocked they slap their hand over their mouth (yes, I admit I did that as well as shed some tears when the good guys are taken out.)
This is another definite hit for Jackson Kane. Jackson's writing pulls the readers into the book; definite just read.
A thrill ride of non-stop action, suspense and a hot romance
Burn Out by Jackson Kane, a well written MC book, is full of heart with strong characters. Maya, a well-rounded, educated woman raised by an MC father is thrown into the life she’s been trying to escape. Hendrix, disillusioned by his MC upon release from prison only wants out of the MC life. All of the characters are well developed, and I adore Hendrix. Reading about his evolving attitude as he becomes enamored of Maya is sweet and yet so very hot! This book takes you on the thrill ride of their journey, having been thrown together by their individual circumstances. I loved this book’s storyline, it kept me enthralled and engaged to the very end, and a happy one at that! Jackson Kane has once again made this reader a very happy woman and has written a fantastic book. Thank you Jackson Kane, I can’t wait for another installment of the Steel Veins MC!
Jackson Kane knows how to write the dark, raw, and gritty life of an MC which takes you on a roller coaster ride of reading. Maya needs to protect her sister Anna from their abusive father Slick of the Steel Veins MC. Hendrix, a member of the rival Coffin Eaters MC, is released from a 5 year prison sentence that should have been 18 months. He was set up to take a fall by his MC. Maya and Hendrix cross paths and go on a hard violent action packed ride to uncover a secret left by Maya's mother. Will they be able to stay alive to the very end?
First off.. I'm SOOO glad everyone wasn't HOT! Though I am glad for Maya that Junkyard had well, junk! This was an AMAZING Mc story! It was dirty, raw, dangerous and breathtaking! We spend half the time trying to figure out who to trust, then reinventing the plan! In the end the good guys win, as in Maya and Hendrick!
I love MC romances and I thought this was just another but once I started reading I couldn't stop. I loved the cold, stark, raw grittiness of the characters in this book. The hero wasn't all goodness and light, he was hard , raw and lethal when necessary. The heroine was sassy, smart and tough. Together the two of them fought their way through hell to get to their own version of heaven. They fought their demons, both real and emotional and overcame tremendous odds to find something neither had before...love! I just found a new author for my favorites list!
Jackson Kane always amazes me with his writing, this book has a dark essence that wraps around you and squeezes you tightly while you read. The emotions from the very beginning of the book to the very end is astonishing I didn't want to put it down. I was so angry that a father could be so cruel to his own daughter!!! I highly recoomend the series of the Steel Vein MC!!
This adventure is one that will definitely keep you on your toes. Never knowing who to trust, when the next battle will take place, and who will be the next victim. The chemistry between these two is hot, but their fight to stay alive is astounding. I’m voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.
A well written story with nice storyline and plot. Well described characters. It is written in dual POV, which gives the reader a lot more of the thoughts and feelings of the characters and brings the story closer to the reader. The mix of drama, danger, love and unexpected twists makes it an engaging and enjoyable read. A story about going a step further and doing what you have to do to get your HEA. And that in spite of what might happen and what is thrown down at you.
This book to put it simply is HOT. It grabs your heart from the beginning and will l not let go. Hendrix is a member of one of the coolest MC clubs around but then he is thrown in jail and when he's finally released everything he held near has changed. New leadership, New rules and running of things that could send him back to jail. Maya who grew up in that lifestyle wants a new life for her and especially her younger sister. She brings a breath of fresh air to Hendrix. He has a future but doesn't want to ruin Maya. Can Maya escape her father and his MC club, can Hendrix take a chance on love. This book has it all and I want others to read it.
This book has characters you can truly believe and fall in love with. Hendrix has just gotten out of prison and is struggling as he realizes everything about his mc club has changed. Maya is doing all she can to get her sister away from their abusive father and his mc. I fell in love with Maya and Hendrix from the first page. I got wrapped up and taken along for the ride, and what a ride it is. I highly recommend this book.
Burn Out was a fantastic, pulse-pounding book! Hendrix (love the name) and Maya's MCs were up for an all out war, and these two were caught up smack dab in the middle of it! Loved this MC romance!
Heck yeah! Jackson Kane strikes again. Hendrix is hell on wheels. He takes the shy and introverted Maya and turns her into a furious biker babe. There is so much bursting out of me share but I don’t want to spoil any ones fun. All I can say is go buy the book and read it right way. Keep your eyes peeled for Benny and Agatha, an elderly couple, who are just flipping hilarious.
Maya is desperate to get her sister away from her MC father. When she gets a letter from a bank about a safety deposit box she reaches out to her uncle for help.
Hendrix just got out of prison after 5 years, he wants out of the MC but isn’t sure just how he’s going to do that. He ends up making a deal with the MC president to do one last run to California.
Maya shows up at the clubhouse to talk to her uncle and ends up going on the run with them. When Hendrix sees Maya there is an instant attraction, especially when she ends up on his bike for the run. What will happen if they find out who she really is? Will they be able to help Maya’s sister and complete the run?
There is so much more to this great read. Thrilling, dangerous, steamy and I had several LOL moments. Loved the part where she is sent in to get Hendrix from his room. Also, all of the secondary characters were great. I absolutely loved the old couple that ends up helping these two. I can only hope I’m like that when I’m that age. I was pulled right in and finished this book in one sitting, I couldn’t put it down until I was done. I feel like these two are just getting started and I want so much more. I look forward to reading more from this series and hopefully this couple. 1-click and get started today on this great series.

Road Trip! Motorcycle Gang Mayhem🔫🔪👊💪 across Western America!
I liked the book📑, it's a violent book, filled with vicious, crazed, drunk 🍺 and 💉drug addled MC gang members from several different gangs. Various members and gangs struggle for dominance and leadership, killing🔫🔪 and backstabbing all along the highways as they head to the West coast from Topeka, Kansas.
The Hero, Hendrix🐺🍆🌋💪👊🔫🔪, known as Junk, has just got out of a five year prison stint and finds he was supposed to be killed in prison. Tex, the new President of his club, the Coffin Eaters, has just made a 💉drug deal with the devil.
Hendrix🐺🍆🌋💪👊🔫🔪 is forced into going along on the cross country drug delivery, breaking his parole just hours after getting out. However, in this part of The country, large quantities of drugs travel out of Mexico and California, and eastward, along the interstates. Large 💉drug busts occur weekly on the I-70 corridor in Western Colorado, where I live. 💉Drugs don't travel westward. But it's still a good story.
Of course there is a woman involved in this monumentally hairbrained and lethal road trip. Maya💃💋,is the daughter of Slick👹, the immoral and ruthless President of a much larger club from Kansas,City, the Steel Veins.
Unfortunately, Hendrix🐺🍆🌋💪👊🔫🔪 and the other C.E. don't find this out until they are halfway to California and the bodies of their club members are piled high around them.
I liked the book📑 but there were a number of continuity problems along the way. Ignoring those, it's a bloody🔪, bullet riddled🔫, gasoline fueled🔥, and kick a$$💪👊, good read!
That’s exactly what you get in this MC book. Hendrix is just released from prison doing a five year stint and doing the club’s business while in but it was his club, The Coffins Eaters MC, that turned their back on Hendrix and left him to take the beating his club had set him up for. Once out he found things had really changed within the club and he didn’t like the direction they were going plus he was ready to get out and start a “normal” life.
Maya Merritt is the daughter of the Steel Veins Prez who is a ruthless and an unloving father. Its Maya who sets out to get her younger sister away from their father with the help of the Coffin Eaters MC member who happens to be her uncle and that is one secret they can never tell or Skids would be killed immediately.
There are promises made, betrayals murder and mayhem that draw Hendrix and Maya together. Hendrix was the hero which took me on the ride of my life. As for Maya she knew what was really important in life and did whatever she could to protect the ones she loved.
Jackson Kane has become one of my go-to MC writers who knows how to write books that keep me riveted to my seat and not putting his books down until the very last page is turned.
Another freaking amazing Steel Veins MC book! Wow! This book had me on the edge completely. I feel in love with the main characters and they were addicting to read about. The heat that came from the pages was unbelievable. I love how Jackson Kane's heroines in this series are so badass and strong! Hats off because this is another fantastic read!
Junkyard is everything you’ve heard a biker is, rough, tough, crude, violent and all alpha male.
Maya was born into the wrong family and now she’s just trying to save her little sister from what she went through.
I have to say, I wasn’t sure I would get through this book while I was reading the prologue, but I am SOOO glad I stuck with it. Jackson Kane is one talented author, his descriptive makes me feel like I’m right there with these people, experiencing what they are! This book is gritty and raw, violent and sexy, and one great read! (I finished it in less than a day!) 5 fantastic stars and 3 hands down the pants!!
Hendrix and Maya were such a great couple. Hendrix was loyal to the club even in prison. Once he got out he could see things weren't as they should be and he wanted out. One more run and he's good to be out of the mc. Maya is determined to get her sister away from their father. She needs help and ends up in the mc and in trouble. An action packed, gritty read that I enjoyed reading.
Dear readers, BURN OUT is not pretty, and it is absolutely amazing! I discovered Jackson Kane by accident. I don’t particularly care for MC romances, I have read part of two series, and I don’t go looking for that type of story. However, I was intrigued: I had never read a romance novel by a male author, so I read an excerpt and I was so impressed with the author’s writing style, that I took a chance. And wow, wow, wow! BURN OUT is about the real thing: those bikers are not your garden party variety type, they are real bad boys, which are so not my cup of tea, and I was totally bowled over! Although BURN OUT is book #4 in the Steel Veins series, it stands perfectly on its own; the author gives all the pertinent information, and there is no infodumping whatsoever.
Now, there is one crucial element to Mr. Kane’s writing that must be mentioned right off the bat. BURN OUT is written in first person POV, Maya’s and Hendrix, and I was astounded at the authenticity of the distinctiveness in the male/female voices; it is by far the best I have ever read, bar none, and many authors should read this book to really grasp the innermost differences between men and women’s thoughts. It’s rather puzzling that it took a male author to do this, especially given the context, a biker romance. Also astonishing are the fabulous female characters: Maya, the damsel in distress, fights back like the devil; she is a heroine for the ages. I loved that she was a lawyer, that she knew MCs intimately – her father is a biker – she had to fight tooth and nail for her profession, and she truly disliked bikers, for reasons too many to mention. Hendrix sees in her what he can never have, what he longs for after his stint in jail, and don’t think for a minute that there is any mushy stuff. BURN OUT is action-packed, barrels down at breakneck speed, there are enough plot twists to give you whiplash (in a very good way), and the romance happens exactly how it should.
Realism is the name of the game in BURN OUT: every single thing felt authentic because there was no sugar-coating. The plot is very intricate and solid as steel, nothing is left to chance, and the dialogues are outstanding: every character’s voice is clear and distinctive. The writing is just amazing: either lyrical or in-your-face, sophisticated or urban and gritty; whichever the occasion calls for, Mr. Kane gets it right. Jackson Kane is also a very brave man: he wrote things I had never seen before in a romance, and readers who enjoy genuinely strong women will cheer and applaud at the author’s audacity and literary heroism – just check out chapter 8! I was ecstatic at his female characters’ portrayal; this is what I want to see! Even if MC romances are not your genre – it is not for the squeamish – but if you crave a story that will take you for the ride of your life, try to keep an open mind and grab BURN OUT. I am beyond impressed, and elated to have found a new-to-me author that makes reading so very exciting!
I won an ARC of Burn out, so thanks to the contest that allowed me a first peak.
Hendrix just walked out of prison and plans to leave the Coffin Eater MC. As soon as he gets back though he realizes a lot has changed since he has been in prison and instead he gets pulled into a ride that risks his parole. Maya is also on the ride, trying to get to California to receive documents from a bank deposit box that will hopefully give her and her sister freedom from there father. Together these two become a dynamo duo, and sparks fly.
I don't read a whole lot of male writers, especially in romance category. I found Jackson's style of writing to be a little grittier when it came to sex, and his writing was a little more intense when it came to fighting scenes. The style pleased me and I found it intriguing.
What did I like? I enjoyed the banter between Hendrix and Maya. The book flowed well, and I read it with absolutely no problems. The chemistry between the two was nuclear, and I enjoyed the sneak peak into the steel veins. Made me want Remy's story.
Would I buy this book? Yep...MC books are hard to come by, and this one was exceptional. I would definitely share this with anyone looking for a good MC. Coffin Eaters.. great MC name.
Thoughts for the author? Keep on writing... writers need fans to give them inflated ego and this writer deserves it. Not only does he write a series for women to swoon over but he does it well. I enjoyed my free book, and I will be checking out the steel veins books as well. Thanks so much for a copy of this book. Five beautiful stars!
Sweet Jesus, there is nothing Mr. Jackson Kane can not do. Burn Out, the latest release from Mr Kane's truly amazing mind, will addict you from the very beginning as it did me. "Junkyard" will blow you away with his kind heart, beautiful soul and the woman who tames him. I was floored reading the latest installment to the Steel Veins MC. Mr Kane can spin a tale that will suck you right in easily. This man is unbelievably talented and one of my favorites. I never like to give away story lines, so I will try and leave a review without giving anything away.
Maya has done everything in her power, since her Mother's mysterious disappearance (over a decade ago) to care for her sister Anna and lost when she came up against her Father, a Steel Veins MC member. Maya has suffered most of her life because of her Father and his 'Brothers' but she is not about to give up or give in and what she does is so impressive and brave you can't help but root for her the whole time. Junkyard has spent several years behind bars, taking the fall for his club. Follow their journey of violence and danger, as you discover the world they create and confront together, in the midst of madness all the way to their happily ever after.
I cannot wait to see what will be released next. I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader's copy of Burn Out in exchange for my honest opinion and I highly recommend this book as well as anything written by Mr Jackson Kane.
Burn Up had a slew of crazy characters and then there are those we fall in love with. I’m hoping one day we get to know Anna’s story. I really like this authors writing style, I find it to be authentic.
Hendrix took the fall for his club, spent five years locked in a cage. When he should of been celebrating his freedom, he is shown how much has changed in those years. A new club president, a new direction, new members and there are several brothers missing. It’s time to get out and make a break, he doesn’t have any trust in the club he no longer knows. If only he could just ride away, it wasn’t going to be that easy though.
Maya avoids her father, who is the Steel Veins, St Louis chapter president. Since Maya’s mother went missing, she has been trying to get custody of her little sister. They have a very volatile relationship and after going through what she has, she hates bikers. Her sister celebrates her 16th birthday and time is running out to keep her safe. Anna unknowingly gives Maya something that may be the answer to their prayers. Maya tucks Anna away in an underground safe house while she goes to the other side of the country, seeking answers.
What unfolds is unimaginable, she is led back to the Steel Veins the very people she is trying to escape from. Maya is forced to do things she never thought she could, whilst finding comfort in a huge biker.
Hendrix aka "Junkyard" has just been released from prison after a five year stint. He is a man on a mission. He wants our of the clublife and wants to live a quiet and peaceful civilian life. Maya Merritt is desperate to get her younger sister, Anna, away from their abusive father. When Hendrix and Maya come together, the attraction if fierce. As Maya's uncle sets out to help her get Anna away from their sadistic father, all hell breaks loose. Both Hendrix and Maya are drawn into a dangerous situation that they may not survive. They desperately want to be together, but that may not even be a possibility with danger lurking around every corner.
Gosh! I fell in love with Hendrix and Maya right from the beginning. They were really awesome people who, in my opinion, deserved their happily ever after. But, before that can happen, they must take down her father and everyone who remains loyal to him. Is that even a possibility. or perhaps just a foolish quest?
