The present is perfect. But my past is about to change everything. My brother and I beat our biggest nemesis for a new deal—my adopted father, Edwin Hunt. He's sworn us off, but we have the money and the women to make us happy. Even Layla and I are starting to get on better terms. But a very old face has suddenly returned to my life. My childhood crush, Sarah Hill. And she seems hellbent on making things confusing for me. Along with the fallout my brother is experiencing from my father, things are getting dangerous. And knowing Edwin Hunt, he's not going to accept defeat. Everything is going great, which means everything is about to head straight to hell.

ARC's given to me by Author through Booksprout. My review is given voluntarily.

I gave this storyline 4 stars.

So this story is something a little different than what I'm use to reading, not as romantic as your typically simple love story boy meets girl!
The storyline does spread throughout all 5 books starting with the 1st book Flawed, 2-Bruised, 3-Corrupted 4-Dismantled and finished with 5- Crushed
This is the order of reading them.
This was quite an adventure intense storytelling with family dynamics heartbreaking, unforgivable betrayals, corruptions galore, really raw emotionally I did cry a lot, steamy carnel sex, Chance does tend to flip flop from one woman to the other (which I didn't really like that much) the story as a whole might be a bit to long in my opinion I skimmed some sparts, but I have to be honest I did get hooked in story as a whole, and kinda binge read the books for hours. Forgiveness, understanding, family and retribution does prevail in the end which I must say felt really good!
Not sure if love wins in the end though??!
I didn't get my normal HEA that I'm used to, I felt like that last epilogue finished to abruptly, after all the emotions this whole story puts you through, we definitely needed a better closure to Chance and Layla's story a longer epilogue would have been nice. This is just my opinion from a romantic at heart's point of view!
These books are cliffhangers, so you need to read all of them to get to the conclusion of the story. Each book is in-between 16-20 chapters. They each take you on a rollercoaster ride of ups and downs, twists and turns.
Overall I did enjoy them!

Morgan, Edwin Hunt's only son, and Chance have outwitted Edwin in a business deal with Virtual Reality. Then a FB friend request comes to Chase from none other than Sarah Hill. The same woman with the wealthy father who continually berated him about not being worth anything and never measures up to being a Hunt. All this just when things were starting to go their way. It's an emotional journey. One with all the drama and suspense Timothy S. Allen has brought to his previous books and chemistry that will keep you turning pages to find out what's next.

This is the 3rd book in the series, and I do recommend reading them in order. Chase and his brother beat their father for a new deal and him and Layla are finally getting back on track but what will happen when his childhood, Sarah returns. Fast-paced read with loads of drama, suspense and steam. Great characters and an entertaining story. I liked it.
