Doc 2 Doc is the perfect series for parents who want to introduce science and the field of medicine to their children in a fun and colorful way.Tony and Jace have dreams of becoming medical doctors. While going about their everyday lives, these brothers get roped into some pretty interesting medical cases. In this second book of the series, Tony and Jace help a patient who has a lung problem. These two brothers learn what lungs looks like and what they do.
Doc 2 Doc: Tony and Jace Learn About The Lungs is a book that intrigued me as it aims to help children learn about medical things and our bodies and I thought this would be great for the children to learn a bit about. This story is based on the lungs and follows the boys as they help their mum with a medical case.
The story was quite long to read but it didn't feel it. It was great to have so much to learn in the book but with it still being in a very understandable way for any aged children. There were some words that I didn't know but they were explained very well between the brothers.
The characters in the story are great as they are very inquisitive and always willing to learn which makes the children more interested too. Having them interact with professionals for the facts is very clever and helps children learn as the boys do.
The illustrations are bold and colourful which keeps the book interesting for children but it also has great pictures of the more medical aspects of the book which help the children see what is being discussed.
This is a book unlike any we have seen before but it is fantastic at helping children understand lungs and things they might not know much about. A brilliant story for primary school aged children.
This is the second book in the Doc 2 Doc series that I have read. I love how the author makes learning about the human body fun and interactive for the readers. I highly recommend reading the Doc 2 Doc series books to children in your life to expose to them to science.
Tony and Jace are learning about the important organs that make up the human body. In this book, they're learning about the lungs. What I love about it, is our children are having fun while learning, which is always important.
Another series to add to your children's personal library.
