About the author

Mandy Dawson, author and Baroness, lives with her two young children in a tiny cottage surrounded by roses where chickens eat her garden and Clark the Cat hisses at any attempt at petting. She's been writing since the fourth grade when she created a novel set in the fictional Western town of Calamine named for the lotion because it sounded exotic.

Her fiction can be found in the anthologies Merry Little Christmas, Metaphysical Gravity, Echoes of Darkness, Open Studio, and Precipice: The Literary Anthology of Write on Edge. She's also written for Momtastic, BlogHer, Mamapedia, VProud, and has appeared on HuffPost Live.
