The Christy-award winning author of nineteen books including the Women of Faith Novel of the Year Quaker Summer, Lisa Samson has been hailed by Publishers Weekly as "a talented novelist who isn't afraid to take risks." She lives in Kentucky with her husband and three kids.
I read this book many years ago, and have been trying to find it ever since. It contains one of my all time favorite scenes that I have ever read. After all these years, it was still a beautiful scene that spoke to my heart. Another thing this book does well is explore the reality of conquered and conquering peoples. I appreciated the points of view and how it made me think about the past.
