Hey! Hey! What do you say! It’s time to take a bath today.
From the irrepressible Sandra Boynton, an irresistible storybook for bath time. It’s a classic tale of pig meets paint. Spattered with colors from a long day at the easel, the pig takes to the tub, washcloth in hoof, determined to get all pink and clean. On the last page, the snout has a bound-in squeaker. Get it? Squeaky clean?
Bath Time! is waterproof, nontoxic, completely baby-safe—and it floats!

My 14-week-old daughter, a perfect angel of this earth, smiles whenever I open this book (during, shocker, bath time). There is, objectively, no stronger criteria for a five-star rating on this hellsite.
It takes immense talent to be able to write a book this short and sweet that is appealing to both a two month old and a 40 year old and NEVER gets annoying no matter how many times in a row you read it. I read it multiple times per bath. I anticipate that I will be reading it at bath time until my child starts taking showers or they are old enough to pry it out of my hands and scream “no more.” Even then I may continue reading it to my self to remember the good times.
A short book about getting ready for a bath. A classic Boynton book with colourful pictures and great rhymes. Love that it’s for the bath and my son loves reading it in the tub.
I have to admit hesitation when it comes to the idea of introducing a child to books in the bath for a fear that she will take in the non-waterproof variety. But I have to admit this is one cute book. Yet it is Boynton, so of course it is great!

Both my girls love this book; they like identifying the colors of paint used by the pig when he gets messy and the squeaker at the end of the book is quite a hit, especially with Rosemary at one year. I love that this book gives the reader the opportunity to participate in the reading pressing on the squeaking piggy nose! Bath books are a genius invention and there should be more high quality ones like this on the market! I'd buy them all!
I do love the squeaky thing at the end of the book - a nice surprise each time someone reads it to me - but I have to say that this Boynton installment is not quite as attention-grabbing as other bath books that I have. Nor as tasty. 4 stars is a bit on the generous side.
I purchased this book for my baby because he loves to play with/chew on puffy bath books. The story is barely a story. The illustrations are bright against a white background and the last page has a squeaker in it. He loves it.
Soft squishy book that can take a bath with you, and also is ABOUT bath time! There is a squeaker in it too, and things that squeak ALWAYS make Chloe happy!
This precious rhyming book is one of our favorites. How fun to read this board book with babies and young children! This one lived in our bathtub forever until it just fell apart! So worth it!!!
