Which is probably why my father can’t stand her. He thinks she’s a distraction. I know she’s my world. I don’t know how far he’ll go to destroy her…
But I’m about to learn how far I’ll go to save her.
*Deeper Than Love is a spicy new romantic series filled with hot, dirty billionaire alphas and the beautiful, curvy girls who tame them. Perfect for a quick bedtime read or a quicker reader blush, you’ll love this new, free novella, Deeper Than Destiny, a friends to lovers romance. One of the best steamy romance novels of the year!
If you're looking for quick and dirty, this is it. Straight to the smut, plot following along behind. It's nice to see a hero have mental health issues but still be presented as attractive/appealing. It's rare enough to see this in female characters. Rarer still in male ones. I'm a little disappointed in the trope the author seems to be using for this series though - must they all be well endowed billionaires? No wonder people are condescending towards people who read romance novels, is it, when even the people who write them think we're that shallow?
'Deeper than Desire' was an interesting read. The easy-to-read 2.5-star long short story was focused on the romantic relationship between two childhood friends whose fathers owned a company together. Moreover, the protagonists, Libby and Finn, weren't fully developed because the narrative abruptly ended. On top of that, the editing could have been better. I won't read the next installment to see how the narrative unfolds.
I thought this was an interesting contemporary romance. Over the years, the concept of the friends-to-lovers trope has become less and less compelling to me because of the ones I've read; it either comes down to one of generally two ways an author will usually go about the story: PLOT A) Person A likes Person B, and literally, almost everyone in their inner circle and sometimes not even that can tell this fact aside from Person B or PLOT B) Both Person A and Person B like each other and I'm constantly hearing within their thoughts how attracted they are to the other person, and I'm not seeing any aspects or evidence of a friendship more like two adults that like each other and are acting really immature for their ages. However, all that being said, I found this novella/prequel surprisingly refreshing in its approach to the friends-to-lovers aspect of this story. While I wish, again, there was more evidence of them being friends. I also wish the main male character had been a bit more likable. I found him a cross between a flat character and thinking, "Okay, we get that he's, but why is this girl "friends" with him?" I doubt I will continue with this series, but I wanted to give my review on this since it involves a trope I go back and forth with on whether I like reading about it.
This was a very good book. You have a beautiful woman who is best friends with a handsome man and they have been friends since they were younger. She gets the nerves to tell him she likes him and wants to be more then friends. He agreed and they had one weekend together before his father tells him to drop her or else. Then four years later he shows back up. But that is where it ends because it is a cliffhanger!!
I thoroughly enjoyed this novel from the first page until the very last. It has been a very rare occurrence that I could just pick up a book and read it in one day; but, I was captivated by these characters and their amazing love story instantaneously.
One night stand with a beloved friend. Drama caused by a lack of communication leads to a break. This has either a cliffhanger or a poorly wrapped up ending
Yes, this story goes on to the next book, which just makes me mad as hell! Great story though, the characters are really interesting as the plot thickens. 😂
