People say I’ve had life served on a silver platter with a flute of sparkling rosé on the side.
They’re not wrong, but if I already have everything, why do I want Puck so badly?
I fell for my pastry chef the moment he applied for the job.
My business partner, Sophia, declared work relationships off-limits one microsecond later.
It was probably the sparkle in my eyes. It’s been known to devastate small economies.
Sophia would kill me if she knew I broke her rule, but what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Right?
Not exactly.
Now, I only have one question on my mind: Can an accidental Vegas wedding survive a Chicago winter?
Probably not, but it’s Christmas and anything can happen!
Fired is a sweet and sexy holiday romantic comedy featuring a friends-to-lovers, office romance between a boss and her employee. HEA and no cheating, Fired is a full-length book with heat, humor, and lots of Christmas cheer.
I really enjoyed the overall story but of course the pairing of Puck and Lena really made it worth the read. Lena is the kind of heroine that is impulsive, spirited and giving. Puck shows little of himself to the world beyond a player and guy that doesn’t take anything seriously. That couldn’t be further from the truth. Their chemistry is impossibly hot and their related activities quite steamy.
The opening of the book has the two waking up in Vegas hung over and married. They ditched the pastry convention to have fun in Vegas at the beginning of the holiday season. How they deal with their fake marriage, working relationship, Lena’s family, her business partner and restaurant co-owner’s romantic crisis are what keeps us turning the pages.
If you are looking for a full length but fast paced holiday romance with lots of witty banter and interesting secondary characters you will enjoy FIRED.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. Lena wakes up in a Vegas hotel bathroom with a hangover from hell. It gets worse when she spots her pastry chef Puck naked in the bed and their marriage certificate on the table. They have great chemistry which makes working together after the marriage awkward. Lena is wealthy with a large family and Puck is the opposite. Whilst he doesn’t want the commitment of a marriage he can’t resist Lena and the way she makes him feel whole again. A twist on A midsummer nights dream according to the author. Easy to read and the characters are easy to like.
" You make all the dresses that aren't yours jealous" - Most randomly fun line.
Fired is the fun, sexy, playful, steamy, third book in the Cooking Up A Celebrity series. As with the first two, this book is a stand alone romantic comedy. Characters from the first two books make appearances. You don't have to read the first two in order to enjoy this one, but you should, because each book of the series is lighthearted, uncomplicated, well-written enjoyment. You won't be disappointed with Puck and Lena's story.

This story was amazing from start to finish. Lena is the wealthy co-owner of the restaurant in which Puck is the pastry chef. There is an intense attraction between them that results in a drink wedding in Vegas. The story follows them as they try to decide whether or not to pursue each other. I love when she takes Puck home for the holidays as her fake boyfriend who’s already her husband. Lots of fun and steamy times follow but when Lena is given a crazy ultimatum by her dad to marry her ex boyfriend Lena has to make some decisions about her life. This story was so great!! Every moment was wonderful!

Fired is a holiday romantic comedy by Hadley Harlin and is the third book in the Cooking Up a Celebrity series. It features Lena Beaumont, a wealthy heiress who instantly fell for her fun loving pastry chef, and Puck Williams, a rising and sexy pastry chef who is aware of Lena's interest but wants to keep their relationship strictly business only. A trip to Vegas changes everything when this couple is accidentally married. This book is a fun read perfect for when you get time for yourself.

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. This was a really good romance full of humor. Lena and Puck have an amazing chemistry from the first moment. He is her new pastry chef, and apparently her new husband also. Not only was this story humorous, it has great characters in it. It is the third book in the series and can be read alone but the first two are really good stories also. I really enjoyed Lena finding love where she least expected it.

i purchased this book back in 2019 and only took the ARC hoping for something a little different. Lena and Puck are totally meant for each other. No matter the chaos that ensues in their relationship they are going to make it in the end. But the old saying what happens in Vegas stay in Vegas is a farce if I ever heard one. When this role reversal happens a boss and employee relationship, male female dynamic it is tense, delicious and powerful

Fired: A Holiday Romantic Comedy is the third book in the Cooking up a Celebrity series. I loved this romantic comedy. Lena and Puck are charming characters who are meant to be together. The storyline is well written and captured my interest from the first page. This book is full of humour, a Vegas wedding, a business partner who will hit the roof, and a sweet romance.
I am looking forward to reading more books by this author. I read and reviewed this book with no obligation.
Nothing like waking up in Vegas married to your boss!! Absolutely love this book. Lena and Puck are lovable characters that have an undeniable spark. Their fiery but playful dynamic grabbed my attention and kept me wanting more. While they come from much different places, in the end you know Lena and Puck are meant for each other.
This was a fun, light read that has plenty of holiday magic. Well written with great humor and charming story.
The chemistry between the main characters is out of this freaking world!
I felt that the author had the ability to convey some depth to the personalities of the characters bringing life and likability to every person. The writing draws you in and keeps you interested until the end.
I received a copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily.
This is definitely a page turner. The characters of Lena and Puck have some serious chemistry, now can they have the same for their working relationship. Some ups and downs and the interference of family, will they be able to keep their marriage or does the saying go what happens in Vegas stay in Vegas.

What happens when you combine a couple with hot chemistry, Lena and Puck, and too much alcohol in Vegas? This was a great read with a couple that seems meant to be that accidentally married in Vegas. They say everything happens for a reason...

I have not read a bad book from this author yet and this book is no exception! The great plot and character development kept me so engaged throughout the entire book that I had a very hard time putting this book down until the very last page was turned!
A truly enjoyable story filled with great dialogue, engaging scenes, wonderful characters and a believable romance. I loved everything about this story. Thank you for this little gem of a story.
I requested a copy of this book so I could provide an honest review.
Loved this book, even if Lena's family were winding me up.. Lena really was made out to be the black sheep, and loved Puck! Even with his hang ups still only wanted what was best for Lena.

However, Gemini doesn't BEGIN until May 21st. So, Puck is a Taurus. You *really* need to do serious research if you are going to include astrology into your story. I k ow this because *I* am a Gemini on the cusp of Taurus. My birthday is May 22nd.
