After quite some time, I have finally come to the end of this novel. I will admit, at first I kept away from this due to the number of chapters as I percieve any novel with over 100 chapters quite cumbersome to read. But over the years, I have in a way start to appreciate the cultivation novels that span over 100 or more and further delve into the plot and character. I have had to be living under a rock to not know Mo Xian Tong Xiu. Her novels have found quite the cult and further deserving too. Over the years of reading danmei novels and web novels, I might as well as (shamelessly) say that I have found a cerain ranking system for them. I can assure easily that MXTX's novels definitely fall in the higher category of my list.

First of all I know many have come to read this book after watching the TV drama but for me it was the opposite. Now that I have finished the novel, I will be diving into the world of Untamed. I am pretty sure that the drama won't most probably hold a candle for the book but considering the endless praise it has recieved and the high rating it has on MDL, it won't be too bad either. Unfortunately due to the censorship issues within China, I will not even hope for the slightest flicker of romance even but the story itself is beautiful without the romance.

The story itself spans over decades and with the author's beautiful prose and world building you will find yourself captivated in this world of cultivation. The characters are surprisingly black and white, not giving space for realistic human characteristics comparison but one can easily overlook that point and read the novel. As any novel, it won't be without its faults and this could be considered a very minor. Our ML is very silly and you would be easily laughing along with his antics and our MC is cold and expressionless but with a heart completely loyal to the other. At the end, a part of me was actually sad, thinking how Lan Zhan kept his thoughts and feelings buried deep inside for decades. I was quite glad that it was WeiXuan who figured out his feeligns by himself and not because of any action of Lan Zhan. The romantic aspect comes right at the end so please don't read this for that but then again by the end it takes a completely 180 and becomes mature quite fast. So warnings ahead for that too.

All in all, in the end, I completely loved this. I found absolute pleasure in reading this and the history-maniac in me was giddy as always when I read any historic piece. Even if you stumble upon this book on accident or read it cuz you loved Untamed, I would say that this is something that you would enjoy nonetheless. Last not least, immense gratitude to the amazing translating/editing team. They really did capture the essense of the book and made it accessible to all international fans.

This novel will always hold a special place in my heart for being my introduction to the deep, deep pit of Chinese danmei novels 💖

While I was ultimately pretty happy with how the drama ended (they really did the best that they could considering the the censorship), obviously the novel's ending is far superior and I am 100% happy with it! To be completely honest, I could have done without the smut but like... I sure ain't going to complain that it's there 😏

Apart from the obvious romance stuff, the novel also gave me a few other things that the drama didn't adapt/explain for some reason, so that felt very satisfying. I don't understand why the drama didn't bother to explain why Sisi was allowed to live, or what Jin Guangyao was actually trying to dig up, that wouldn't have been difficult to work into the script. I guess that I can understand not being able to adapt the Nie Mingjue as a corpse part though due to budgetary concerns, I was glad that the novel has this as the conclusion to the final battle since in the show, I remember being quite disappointed that his body was ominously lying there the whole time but didn't do anything interesting like I expected. I also really liked the sections after the final battle with Wei Wuxian and (especially) Jin Ling reflecting on everything that happened and the consequences still to come, I can't believe that I went into this series expecting to dislike Jin Ling, poor baby, I'm sorry that I misjudged you 🥺

I suspect that maybe the lack of explanation for those two previous points in the drama, as well as failing to mention the truth behind the Guanyin statue was for the purpose of making Jin Guangyao less of a sympathetic villain, which is incredibly ironic if you think about it. The drama really went out of its way to make Wei Wuxian more morally pure (most prominently by blaming Jin Zixuan's death on Jin Guangyao and Su She instead of acknowledging that Wei Wuxian simply lost control) and the villains easier to hate, despite the fact that the whole message of the book is that when it comes to humanity, nothing is black and white. The novel is much better in this aspect, and obviously I will take this version of events as canon.

Time to go dig myself deeper into this pit, woo~

Theo tui thấy, Ma Đạo Tổ Sư có thể không là bộ đam mỹ hay nhất, nhưng chắc chắn là nổi tiếng nhất. Chính vì sự nổi tiếng đó mà tui quyết định đọc trọn vẹn, dù phải chần chừ rất lâu, cũng hên là danh xứng với thực.

Tuy còn vài điểm tui chưa ưng lắm, ví như quy mô arc cuối không hoành tráng như tui kỳ vọng dù mọi nút thắt đã được tháo gỡ hết, hoặc diễn biến tình cảm của Vong-Tiện chưa sâu như tui nghĩ, thì tui vẫn nhìn vào rất nhiều điểm tốt mà tác giả dày công bày biện ra, cách kể chuyện đan xen quá khứ - hiện tại tạo hiệu ứng dẫn dắt khá tốt; giọng văn mộc mạc, dễ hiểu; xây dựng tính cách nhân vật đặc sắc, không bị trùng lặp, ai cũng có đất diễn của mình;... Và cái mà tui thấy đỉnh nhất là câu chuyện của Tiết Dương và Hiểu Tinh Trần, nó tạo cho tui rất nhiều cảm xúc.

Ở tay gấp cuốn sách, Mặc Hương Đồng Khứu có nói, "Văn chương cũng như nhân phẩm con người vậy, ngàn người ngàn cách viết văn, ngàn tư tưởng khác nhau, đã không có duyên hà tất phải cưỡng cầu, có duyên ắt sẽ gặp lại.", tui thấy rất hay. Vì vậy, tui rất mong được gặp lại một lần nữa.

YES THE SMUT. The slow burn of 4 volumes was soooooooooooooooooooooo worth itttttttttttttttttt *internal flailing* ehem. I loved this series. Wei Wuxian is a splendid MC - intelligent, positive, clever, seductive, charming, kind, everything....... everything you'd think a demonic cultivator would not be. XD But he is simply amazing from beginning to end. How someone can go through two lives the way he did and still have such a positive outlook, I do not know.

Lan Wangji is one sexy beast and don't get me started on LWJ and WWX together cuz that duo is just UNSTOPPABLEEEE. But Jin Ling is a precious little princess as well, and Lan Sizhui is endearing... anyway, I could just gush about the characters forever, but really, what made me read this series multiple times was not just my mediocre comprehension of Chinese, but the complexity of the story and the intricate details from the beginning to the end that all came together somehow into one grand finale in Volume 4. The mysteries, the backstories, the relationships - everything that was every hinted or mentioned comes together in the end. And it actually makes sense. It's just amazing.

For those of us that get really invested in the characters, it's really ... satisfying. That's all I can think of to say. It was one hell of a roller coaster ride for 3.5 volumes, but it was well worth it. MDZS = definition of slow burn. And when it ignites finally.... ohhh man, it's freaking HOTTTTTT. All that pent up sexual frustration... released in high concentration in just a few chapters. So hot.

I highly recommend the audio drama as well! And the donghua after that.

rating this particular part of the series with a 4 and not a 5 mostly because of the bad sex that was problematically executed and also i find it went against the whole built up vibe and dynamic of the main's relationship. it didn't ruin much for me because i already knew what to expect thanks to being familiar with the bl/yaoi genre in asia and its tendencies with authors who enforce inaccurate and even problematic executions to sexual tropes. so it just became an easily ignorable part of the story for me, but still, i wanted to reflect it in the rating.

otherwise, this story is 5 star as a whole. in parts, some might find this or that part less interesting and the other more exciting, but looking at the whole story, its scope and plot is excellent. what i love the most about it is that neither the romance nor the actual running plot is suffering of one being more in focus than the other. both get their shine hand-in-hand, what more the writer made it so that we get not only one but two stories of two different timelines.

i personally think the tv adaptation of this story is its strongest version out of all existing versions (and there's a lot of existing versions going from novel, tv series, manhua, dongua, audio). if you read the novel but haven't seen the tv series yet, definitely give it a go because it does a stellar job at enhancing the written word, especially the emotional depth and intensity gets to shine even more than the novel.

Es el ultimo libro y aun me quedo con mas. Ojala algún día la autora se anime a escribir desde la perspectiva de Lan Zhan.
Amo a Wei Wuxian mas que cualquier otro héroe, es el personaje que al final todos idolatran y así lo manifiesta el resto de los personajes que lo rodean.
Y a Lan Zhan, él es lo que esta bien en un MC. Es una green flag como personaje, él es lo que todos queremos en nuestra vida.
La historia esta super bien desarrollada y creo que por eso se merece estar entre las mejores de su genero y sin olvidar que su éxito como novela nos ha traído serie, anime y mangwa.
Si alguien esta buscando algo nuevo o diferente para leer, este libro es el indicado. Tiene amor chico x chico, zombies, peleas, reeconciliciacion, trauma de personajes, misterio, suspenso y sobre todo un gran Plow twist

A hangulata nálam most is betalált. Nevettem, izgultam és sírtam is - komolyan vállalhatatlan kezdek lenni, és a korral ez bizony csak rosszabb lesz. Ébren tartott és kikapcsolt. A démoni kultiváló nagymestere szabadszellemű, vidám, huncutságra kapható lélek, tökéletes kontrasztot alkot a szabálykövető, becsületes, tiszta jellemű jádeszoborral - erre különben az előbbinek van is egy elmélete -, jin és jang, ha úgy tetszik, ez pedig tökéletesen működött.

アニメとドラマ(陳情令)を先に見てから読んだので、呼称や名称、地名、時間軸等���乱することなく話に集中できた。
壮大な話ながら、登場人物それぞれにストーリーがあって、それぞれの関係性もしっかり描かれていて本当におもしろい。番外編も良かった。
BLだとは知ってたけど4巻でいきなりがっつりBLになってびっくり。個人的にはこれだけしっかり作られた話だからあからさまな描写はない方がよかったなぁと思う(本編には書かず番外編だけにするとか)。そう思うと私的には陳情令の2人の関係が理想的だった。
陳情令で王一博演じる藍忘機は凛として美しくただただ尊いって感じだったけど、小説の藍湛はなんか可愛かった。魏嬰がついついからかいたくなっちゃう気持ちが分かる笑。

前三本素菜讓人不敢期待，沒想到最終卷開了大葷! 還滿漢全席啊超感人XD
本來想說能改編成電視劇的，一定是走擦邊球路線，沒想到還貨真價實的呢...讓我更加好奇電視劇到底拍到甚麼程度XD
話說回來這套的劇情寫得真好，看到後來有種真相大白、但又暗藏懸疑之感。唯一不能理解的是當年鬼將軍誤殺、血洗那段真的是失控造成的? 這樣最後魏無羨放任他趴趴走可以嗎...??感覺上結局留了一手，搞不好會加開續集也說不定? 小夫妻的閃光永遠看不夠啊~
平心出版社真的太邪惡了，番外特裝版硬是比普通版早出一個月! 特裝好貴啊! 沒關係我等!

Ok, como este es el último libro de esta historia, aquí es donde voy a colocar todo mi amor por estos libros, ¡ah! ¿Dónde estuvieron todo este tiempo? Los amo mucho, me agrada la forma en que se cuenta el pasado y el presente (aunque al principio fue algo confuso), pero creo que los antecedentes visuales me fueron de mucha ayuda, así como los personajes son lo mejor, ha adorado a wwx porque su forma de ser era de lo mejor de leer, así como lwj fue toda una joya de personaje (y vaya que me sorprendió en ciertos momentos), así como ambos juntos me hicieron fangirlear como loca.
Por otro lado la historia tiene un ritmo muy interesante ya que a pesar de ser extensa no se siente para nada, y de hecho llego un momento en que la lectura me llevaba sin problemas.
También hubo muchos momentos en los que sufrí por ciertos sucesos y personajes que era como: ¿Por qué?, creo que tanto la historia principal como las que la rodearon y fueron parte de ella son de lo mejor, cada personaje me hizo tener algún tipo de emoción hacia ellos y bueno, tengo ganas de volver a leer todo, porque amo mucho todo, quiero volver a reír, sufrir y disfrutar esta historia.
La relación entre wwx y lwj es una joya, son bien hermosos juntos, tengo tantas interacciones entre ellos marcadas que me hicieron gozar la lectura que bueno, creo que para este punto se entiende que esta pareja fue de lo que más disfrute jaja...pero dejando a un lado el romance, la historia vale completamente la pena, en serio creo que no va a pasar mucho y los voy a volver a leer.

История завершилась, я крайне довольна концовкой, а дополнительные главы наполнили мою душу еще большей радостью.

Как оказалось, Мосян Тунсю вовсе не старается писать романтику, ее произведения гораздо более сложные и увлекательные. Это меня несказанно порадовало, хотя и могу сказать, что в первых томах мне не хватало взаимодействий между Вэй Усянем и Лань Ванцзином. Но все же я чаще беру в руки истории, в которых побочной линией идет романтика, чем наоборот. поэтому для меня это скорее плюс, чем минус. Не было желания "поскорее закончить с тягомотиной и вернуться к поцелуям". Все было прекрасно.

Я вообще рада, что у меня выдались длинные выходные в одиночестве, потому что я легким движением руки (глаз) покончила сразу со всеми четырьмя томами. Незабываемое и давно не приходившее ко мне чувство.

Несколько дополнительных глав мне пришлось прочитать онлайн, потому что, по какой-то причине, они не вошли в этот печатный том, хоть он и был меньше остальных, так что места явно хватало. Онлайн читать было тяжелее, чем на бумаге, но я все равно насладилась ими.

Очень счастлива, что тогда, в Буквоеде, спонтанна поддалась импульсу и купила сразу все книги, а за первой даже заставила жениха свозить меня в пригород. Ни капельки не жалею.

Thật ra ở quyển 4 này, đã cắt đi rất nhiều câu nói đỉnh nhất hồi tôi đọc trên mạng nhưng tôi vẫn sẽ nhớ mãi khi Kim Quang Dao dùng Ngụy Anh để khống chế Lam Trạm đã nói: “Y làm sao có thể không nghe lời ta chứ? Ngụy công tử, ngươi cũng không nghĩ xem, ‘tính mạng’ của y đang nằm trong tay ta mà.”

Đúng vậy, Ngụy Anh chính là mạng mà Lam Trạm không dám tin có thể tìm lại. Vậy nên gia huấn y có phạm cũng không sao, y muốn thế nào thì như thế ấy. Không ai được làm tổn thương y, hắn cũng không muốn là y mất hứng, uống rượu, trộm gà, vẽ tường, hái táo, chỉ cần y thích, hắn đều có thể làm. Hắn muốn dùng mạng của mình, chu toàn bảo vệ y. Không muốn chịu thêm một lần nào nữa, cái cảm giác đau đớn, gọi người từ trong bờ vực của tuyệt vọng không thể trở về.

Ngày đó mất đi y, hắn khổ sở thế nào, điên cuồng thế nào, tự trách thế nào, đã chẳng cần phải nói. Tìm kiếm bóng hình hay di vật đều chẳng có, một mảnh hồn tàn người lại chẳng vươn. Hắn chỉ còn dấu ấn năm ấy y chịu, in hằn trên ngực mình. Nhắc nhở chính mình, y vẫn ở đây, y sẽ trở về.

Enfim, a conclusão. O romance de The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation é uma montanha russa muito bonita de se acompanhar. Vai um slow burn, enemies to lovers aí?

Nós testemunhamos Wei Wuxian obcecado pelo Lan Wangji em sua adolescência, fazendo de tudo para chamar sua atenção até os primeiros conflitos sérios que nos levam à morte dele e às consequências dela para o Lan Wangji. Passamos por sua reencarnação após 13 anos, pelas primeiras fichas caindo, pela primeira desilusão e mal entendido até chegarmos em revelações e confissões. Serviram de tudo, fazendo checklist de tags do ao3.

Isso tudo obviamente acontecendo enquanto os mistérios do segundo grande plot vão se esclarecendo e desenrolando, passando uma imagem muito interessante sobre o que é certo e errado assim como os livros anteriores e com um vilão maior mau caráter já visto na história (apesar de eu não julgar certos surtos depois de algumas coisas que aconteceram com ele).

Neste livro nós também temos a cena mais bonita de The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation e eu vejo poucos comentarem sobre ela: a cena do abraço sob a árvore. Minha gente, essa aqui pegou demais, me quebrou. Além do arco do Xiao Xingchen no segundo livro, esse foi o outro momento de mdzs em que eu me emocionei.
Pra mim ela tem um peso narrativo enorme e é simplesmente bonita demais de se presenciar em um ponto do livro em que você entende tudo o que ela referencia e o quão significativa ela é.

“All of a sudden, an abnormally strong impulse surged into Wei WuXian’s mind. He wanted to fall down again, just like back then.

A voice inside of him said, If he catches me, I’ll...
At this point where he thought “I’ll”, Wei WuXian let go. Seeing that he fell out of the tree without any warning, Lan WangJi’s eyes immediately widened. He shot forward just in time to catch Wei WuXian, or one might say, be caught by Wei WuXian.

(...) His voice was hoarse, “Thank you.”

He wasn’t scared of falling. All these years, he’d fallen many times. But falling on the ground still hurt, after all.
If someone was there to catch him, it’d be more than wonderful.

Hearing Wei WuXian thank him, Lan WangJi’s body seemed to freeze for a second. The hand that was about to be laid on WeiWuXian’s back paused before it returned.
After a moment of silence, Lan WangJi responded, “You are welcome.”

Ahora por fin lo diré.
¡Estoy realmente feliz de haberlo terminado! No puedo ni siquiera tratar de digerir tanta emoción y el recuerdo de las bellísimas escenas de todo el libro. Incluido con los extras, este volumen fue demasiado perfecto.

Regresamos al presente, donde Wei Ying nuevamente es juzgado por todas las sectas y le recuerdan que él todavía es el "Patriarca de Yiling". Lan Zhan sale a defenderlo. Pero en eso aparece un conjunto de marionetas y con los cultivadores sin su poder espiritual están indefensos. Como siempre y escondiéndose, dejan que Wei Ying y Lan Zhan se encarguen de todo, claro está después de que se descubriera toda la verdad y quien es en verdad el enemigo del mundo del cultivo. Juro que la primera vez que supe de la historia, no pensé que Jin Guang Yao tuviera la mente tan retorcida.
Bueno después de todas las revelaciones, nos vamos a lo bueno.

Bueno al tema central.
No sé ni cómo voy a empezar a comentar y dar mi opinión sobre esta escena (Suspiro). Sin importar cual fuera la adaptación y la misma novela, sigue doliendo. Jiang Cheng es uno de los personajes que, sin duda, mas ha sufrido en toda la novela. Pensaba que odiaba a su hermano y eligió dejarlo, prefiriendo otras personas, cuando en realidad no fue así. Todo lo hizo porque no tenía opción, mientras él vivía en el desconocimiento. Debo decir que el Donghua no me gusto como lo dejaron, prácticamente hicieron ver nunca va poder solucionar las cosas con Wei Ying, mientras se encierra en su propio dolor. Cuando en la novela no fue así.

En un instante de ira, el latido del corazón de Jiang Cheng se volvió frenético al tiempo que, por alguna razón hizo caso a las palabras de Wen Ning. Tomó la empuñadura de Suibian con la mano izquierda y tiró de ella con fuerza.
Esta espada era Suibian, la espada de Wei WuXian. Tras el asedio al Monte Luanzang, fue tomada como trofeo de batalla por la secta LanlingJin. La espada se había sellado así misma por mucho tiempo, impidiendo que cualquier persona pudiera desenvainarla.
Entonces, ¿Por qué él pudo hacerlo? ¿Acaso la espada había roto su sello?
La confusión caótica dentro de Jiang Cheng se podía ver en su cara —Entonces... ¿Por qué... pude sacarla?

Tal vez en la novela no supieron mostrar esta parte, pero fue realmente doloroso ver a Lan Zhan darse cuenta porque Wei Ying no cargaba su espada y todas las veces que también lo dejo atrás por su cultivo demoniaco. Esa lagrima, estaba llena de frustración, ira y remordimiento. En serio, no puedo, aun duele.
En esos momentos, el prístino rostro de Lan WangJi estaba mortalmente pálido y su mirada tan fría como el hielo. Después de darle un último vistazo al Hall Ancestral de la secta Jiang, acomodó el cuerpo de Wei WuXian en sus brazos y caminó hacia la dirección opuesta, sin mirar atrás

Amar a Lan Zhan y no recordar esta escena seria todo un pecado. Me encanta cuando entra en su estado de embriaguez y se comporta como un niño, porque claro está, no pudo hacer nada de esas curiosidades en su infancia.

La primera vez que se había embriagado, Wei WuXian había lavado su rostro por él y, al parecer, a Lan WangJi le había gustado bastante. Pero, esta vez, lo había pedido por sí mismo. Y eso no era problema alguno, puesto que, de todas formas, desde un inicio Wei WuXian había querido hacerlo. Sin embargo, ahora que estaba en esta condición, lavar su rostro no iba a ser suficiente
—¿Qué tal si mejor te ayudo a bañarte?
Ya sabemos que pasa luego 😏😘👀

—Uh, Lan Zhan, creo que esta noche ambos bebimos demasiado. Lo siento

Cuatro horas después, mis poderes espirituales por fin se habían recobrado y volví velozmente a la secta GusuLan en busca de asistencia. Temía que si aquellos de otras sectas los encontraban antes que nosotros, WangJi sería considerado un cómplice. Si eso ocurría, el mejor escenario sería que su nombre y reputación quedaran arruinadas para siempre y en el peor de los casos, su vida sería cobrada ahí mismo sin opción a tener un juicio. Así que, con shufu, elegimos a treinta y tres mayores que siempre habían tenido buen favor hacia WangJi y los buscamos en secreto durante dos días antes de encontrar señales de ustedes en Yiling. WangJi te había llevado a una cueva y escondido dentro de ella. Cuando llegamos al lugar, tú estabas sentado sobre una roca y te veías como aturdido... WangJi sostenía tu mano mientras te pasaba energía espiritual y te murmuraba muy bajo sin parar. Sin embargo, todo el tiempo le repetías la misma palabra una y otra vez.
—¡Piérdete!

Juro que, en ese momento, sentí que mi Corazon se rompía en mil pedazos. Me hizo recordar la época donde esas mismas palabras las decía Lan Zhan y ahora era Wei Ying quien le contestaba de ese modo. Como una especie de Karma para Lan Zhan. Pobre mi Lanchita no se merece tanto dolor.

La Confesión
Ese el momento crucial por el que espere toda la novela. Me muero entre tanta miel. Wei Ying confesando sus sentimientos a Lan Zhan, mientras su vida pende de un hilo 😭💗
—¡Lan Zhan! ¡Lan WangJi! ¡HanGuang-Jun! ¡En la posada, y-yo realmente sí quería acostarme contigo!... Lan Zhan, ¡¿Escuchaste lo que dije?!
Los labios de Lan WangJi se movieron un poco. Un momento después, contestó —Tú... Tú dijiste...
Lucía como si quisiera repetirlo para poder asegurarse de que, en efecto, no había escuchado mal. Sin embargo, sería muy difícil para Lan WangJi poder decir palabras como esas. Por esa razón, Wei WuXian decidió volver a decirlas —Dije que realmente quería.

—Lan Zhan, ven, mírame
Después de inspirar profundamente, Wei WuXian susurró —... Realmente tengo muy mala memoria. No puedo recordar muchas cosas que ocurrieron en el pasado, y eso incluye lo que pasó en la Ciudad Sin Noche. No recuerdo ni una sola cosa de lo que ocurrió durante esos días.

Wei WuXian se encontró incapaz de proferir otra palabra. En medio de la oscuridad, Lan WangJi lo había envuelto fuertemente en un abrazo y silenciado con su boca


La reconciliación de Jiang Cheng y Wei Ying
Siempre voy a decir que uno de los mejores personajes, sin duda es Jiang Cheng. Alguien que cargo con tanto por demasiado tiempo, se merece ser feliz una vez en su vida o al menos saber la verdad de los que le rodean. Conocer los verdaderos sentimientos y la voluntad de su hermano por ayudarlo y tratar de devolver lo que se le dio, fue demasiado hermoso y triste.
—Qué te da el derecho... ¡Qué te da el derecho a no decirme!
Hablando entre lágrimas, continuó con voz ronca —...me dijiste que yo iba a ser el líder de la secta y tú serías mi subordinado, que me apoyarías de por vida, sin traicionar nunca a la secta Yunmeng Jiang... eso fue lo que me prometiste
Después de un breve silencio, Wei WuXian respondió en voz baja —Lo siento, rompí mi palabra.
—Aún llegados a este punto, sigues pidiéndome perdón. Qué persona tan frágil soy - De repente, dijo —Lo siento
Wei WuXian se congeló —No tienes que decir que lo sientes. Considéralo como mi retribución a la Familia Jiang. Uh, creo que es mejor que... no sigas pensando más en esas cosas. Aunque sé que con tu personalidad nunca lo vas a olvidar, pero, cómo decirlo.


Al menos en la novela y el Live Action decidieron dejar que Jiang Cheng y Wei Ying pudieran conversar y de algún modo solucionar sus problemas. En cuanto al Donghua es molesto como dejaron a Jiang Cheng, acabado y sin tener las respuestas que deseaba escuchar.

OCULTAMIENTOS
Huiasang
Luego de un conjunto de revelaciones, sabemos que en realidad Jin GuangYao fue el involucrado en la muerte de Jin Zuxian y el Lider del Secta Jin como Nie. Para Lan XiChen sin duda fue un golpe descubrir la verdad, después de todo el confiaba ciegamente en su hermano jurado.
Pero lo que más impacto y de hecho no me esperaba fue cuando entré de relleno a la historia y descubrí que Nie Huaisang fue la mente maestra detrás de la caída de Jin GuangYao. El que “No sé nada” resulto ser alguien a quien temer, que incluso en el último momento, pudo acabar con aquel que mato a su hermano.
—Lo que esa persona quería no era simplemente que Jin GuangYao perdiera su reputación y sufriera una derrota. También quería que Jin GuangYao se convirtiera en el enemigo público número uno, y que, incluso después de su muerte... no tuviese ninguna oportunidad de volver a la vida

Despedida de Jiang Cheng a Wei Ying
—¡Sí querías! ¡Lo vi! Querías decirle algo a Wei WuXian pero te detuviste.
—No hay nada qué decir. ¿Qué podía decir? >
Decirle que, en ese entonces, en realidad no fui capturado por la secta Wen porque quería regresar a El Embarcadero del Loto para recuperar los cadáveres de mis padres.
Que, cuando pasamos por ese pueblo en nuestro camino y fuiste a comprar comida, un grupo de cultivadores de los Wen nos habían alcanzado.
Que, me di cuenta y me fui del lugar en el que estaba sentado, y no me atraparon porque me escondí en la esquina de una calle. Sin embargo, ellos estaban patrullando las calles y pronto iban a encontrarte. Que, esa fue la razón por la que salí de mi escondite y atraje su atención.
Pero, tal como años atrás Wei WuXian no pudo decirle que se quitó su núcleo dorado para dárselo, en estos momentos, Jiang Cheng tampoco era capaz de decirle la verdad

WANGXIAN
Reencuentro con A-Yuan
Me encanta A-Yuan y más la escena donde Wei Ying descubre que Sizhuiera ese niño que creía muerto. Son tan lindos.
—Se jactaba de tener excelentes habilidades para cocinar, pero, aun así, sus platos eran tan picantes que herían tanto los ojos como el estómago… Me enterró en la tierra, al lado de las zanahorias, diciendo que con un poco de sol y agua crecería y me haría alto muy rápido. Y que, incluso, podría ser que brotaran algunos niños que jugarían conmigo - Lan SiZhui continuó —Dijo que quería invitar a comer a HanGuang-Jun, todo a su cuenta, pero huyó sin pagar y HanGuang-Jun tuvo que hacerlo…Quizás es porque era muy pequeño en ese tiempo que no puedo recordar la mayoría de las cosas que pasaron. Pero, estoy seguro que... alguna vez, mi apellido fue "Wen"… Wei QianBei, soy... soy A-Yuan...


Cancion WangXian
—Pero en serio, ya se me han ocurrido más de ochenta nombres para esta canción, ¿Y aun así ni uno te gusta?
—Tiene...Un nombre...WangXian

En la serie de The Untamed, el final para WangXian fue una despedida como una promesa de que nos volveremos a ver. El hermoso mensaje al final, es lo que se llama “Una obra arte hecha a la perfección”. Si tuviera que elegir la mejor adaptación de la novela, sin duda es The Untamed. Esta hizo que sintiera un conjunto de emociones que jamás podre olvidar.

Los extras lo coloco en otra parte. No hay mas caracteres😭

The road to hell is paved with good intentions
Hate and revenge. Loyalty and honour. Power and corruption. The author did a fine job weaving it all into one story which felt rather solid from beginning to end that is no small feat considering that it was published by chapters.
What I really enjoyed about the story is the way the author maintained the atmosphere of suspense hinting at all the terrible events of the past and gradually revealing them to be as heart-breaking as promised at the same time interlacing it with the character's ridiculous antics in the present.
I couldn't help asking myself if the main character was the victim of circumstances or if he was the reason for his own undoing. Should he have followed the crowd or stood his ground? The author interpreted the question of blame in an unusual way without putting it on one single antagonist at the same time showing how people are susceptible to public opinion which is a dangerous and changeable thing in itself.
P.S. Somewhere closer to the ending the comparison with the The Game of Kings came to mind (and this is not a thing to come easy). First, the opening lines are very catchy. And secondly, the stark contrast between the public opinion of the character as an immoral villain and who he really is (a kind of a light-hearted romantic hero of amazing ingenuity with a propensity to music) made swallow the novel wanting to uncover the truth as quickly as possible.

i sure hoped they would finally kiss in the last book (while both of them aware they’re kissing each other), didn’t expect them to go all way out, multiple times at that. i could really do without smut scenes but still heartwarming moments won me over so it’s a 5⭐️
now maybe i will finally try to find the time and re-read heaven’s officials’ blessings so i could read the last book, cause thanks to the pre-order shipping that took too long last year, now i remember close to nothing.

I have to admit, first 3 books - 5 stars. Last one? 2 stars. And if you read it I bet you know why. Two words - extra chapters. I wish I never read them! To those who didn’t read them yet - don’t. They almost ruined the series for me and I will do my best to pretend they just don’t exist 🙂

ой, настолько шикарная книга, слов нет. герои со всем разобрались, были неожиданные горячие сцены со всеми подробностями. все-все недосказанности сказались, а загадки разгадались. нам дали полноценный эпилог. прояснилось даже моменты, о существовании которых я уже забыла. а отношения героев... эта любовь, пронесенная через года. я плакала над романом несколько раз, также некоторые сцены перечитывала по пять раз, улыбалась и  визжала от восторга. надо обязательно перечитать

вэй ин и лань чжань остановились на постоялом дворе. вэй ин споил лань чжаня, тот пошёл воровать куриц и рисовать неприличные картинки на заборе. потом попросил вэй ина его помыть, а потом они переспали! вэй ину просто крышу снесло, он уже не мог остановиться. они целовались, разделись, друг другу подрочили, кончили. вэй ин почти признался в любви, но тут лань цзы протрезвел, оттолкнул его. вэй ин чувствует вину и думает, что лань чжань жалеет. лань чжань непонятно, но я думаю, что рад, просто в шоке. в итоге между ними разлад.
вэй ин пробрался в храм, где цзинь гуан яо взял в плен лань си чэня и что-то раскапывал. вэй ина он тоже взял в плен. в это время он и лань си чэнь рассказали, что всем видно любовь лань чжаня к вэй ину. вэй ин в шоке. оказывается, это лань чжань тогда вытащил вэй ина из кровавой бани, спас его, пожертвовав всем. за это его выпороли так, что он год не мог ходить. а потом узнал, что вэй ин умер. вэй ин это все не помнил и был в шоке с того, как приставал к лань чжаню после реинкарнации по шутке.
тут прилетает лань чжань, вэй ин клянётся ему в любви, они обнимаются и целуются, наконец-то. и это будучи в плену. и лань чжань улыбнулся, чего никто никогда вообще не видел.
цзянь чэн вначале орал на вэй ина, потом плакал, потом извинился.
на них напали нэ мин цзюэ, они его замуровали. в итоге выглядит все так, что даже не цзинь гуань яо злодей, а будто его на это подталкивал не хуай сан, который незнайка. цзинь гуань яо тоже умер в итоге. остальные все живы и здоровы

вэй ин узнал правду, что лань чжань спас малыша семейства вэнь и это лань сы чжуй. вэнь нин остался с ним, они же оба из семейства вэнь. вэй ин и лань чжань от всех ушли, была сцена горячего секса с проникновением. во время неё мы узнали, что после того, как лань чжань узнал о смерти вэй ина, он напился и специально поставил себе ожог как у вэй ина, чтобы быть ближе к нему.
вэй ин и лань чжань странствуют,  помогают людям и милуются. и типа поженились, кстати

экстра главы
1. ребята пошли на праздник в гу су лань, где вэй ин вёл себя подобающим образом
2. Из-за какой-то магии ьги попали в сны руг друга. раньше вэй ину снилась тихая семейная жизнь с лань чжанем. а воо лань чжань уже в 15 лет видел, еак насилует вэй ина. ребята возбудилтсь и была горячая сцена
3. вэй ин, лань чжань и их подопечные охотятся на лютого мертвеца
4. будучи молодым, вэй ин ворует лотосы,  а лань чжань в облачных глубинах также ворует лотосы, думая о нет
5. снов горячие сцены, полные любви, быт и милота

Я, наверное, никогда не читала ничего о древнем Китае, пусть и вымышленном. И я рада, что начала свое знакомство с китайскими новеллами именно через «Магистра».

Как читателю, мне всегда хочется интриг, приключений, тайн и внезапных сюжетных поворотов. Как прожженому слэшеру — нежной и прекрасной мужской любви. Но дело вот в чем: чистые любовные романы в чтении даются мне тяжело, вечно чего-то не хватает, хочется нового и нестандартного. Я начинаю скучать. Конечно, с такими персонажами, как Вэй Усянь и Лань Ванцзи не соскучишься, но как же мне нравится, что их любовь, хоть и на первом плане, но не затмевает основной сюжет.

Почти до самого конца мне хотелось узнать, как же Вэй Усянь дошел до жизни такой, что все его ненавидели, все его боялись и в итоге истребили так, что от него не осталось ничего: ни тела, ни праха, ни следов души. В книгах нам показывалось два таймлайна, две истории: прошлое и настоящее. Глядя на нынешнего Вэй Усяня, который не делал ничего дурного, и на прошлого, который только лишь проказничал, но тоже не замышлял никаких злодейств, я с эн��узиазмом листала страницу за страницей. Ну как? Как он мог стать злодеем всех времен? И ведь он сам с этим был согласен, и ведь в его мыслях проскальзывали какие-то массовые убийства, которые он совершал.

Я знаю, что многим читателям не нравятся флэшбеки, даже автор писала об этом, но для меня они — главная прелесть истории. И мне нравится то, каким Вэй Усянь предстал нам в результате: абсолютно точно не безгрешным, но с добрыми намерениями, несмотря ни на что. Я, конечно, его не оправдываю, он делал ужасные вещи, но все же сохранил какую-никакую человечность.

А сцена, где окровавленные трупы клана Вэнь встали на защиту Вэй Усяня, заслуживает отдельного места в моем сердечке.

Любовь между героями тоже невероятна, но я все же предпочла бы видеть их первую постельную сцену без алкоголя. Лань Ванцзи, конечно, сдержан до безобразия, но, думаю, Вэй Усяню и без алкоголя хватило бы нахальности его соблазнить. Ведь все же мы знаем, что сердце холодного и непреступного Лань Ванцзи было занято этим наглецом еще с самой юности. А Вэй Усянь на тот момент и сам уже точно определился с намерениями насчет Лань Ванцзи.

Но что есть, то есть. И динамика между главными героями восхитительная.

В общем, спасибо автору за эту прекрасную историю, за возможность окунуться в нее с головой и пожить немного в мире заклинателей. Я думаю, однажды я к ней еще вернусь. И, скорее всего, побегу знакомиться с другими историями Мосян Тунсю.

Well now what do I do….*peeks at the other novels*

I have unconditionally and irrevocably fallen in love with this. I started with the donghua out of curiosity from watching a tiktok edit (tiktok can actually save lives 🥲) and since only 2 seasons were out I was thinking of waiting for the 3rd but then I realized there was a live action for this story and though I wasn’t a big fan of live dramas (since I have a curse to get bored after the 12/13th episode) I gave it a try and along the ride I fell in love with YiZhan too.
I felt slightly dissatisfied, SLIGHLTY, because I love me a good smooch with any couple I end up loving and so I read comments in how the novel had no censorship and so I quickly had to read it though I’ve been in a reading slump for quite a long while *cries* half way through reading, I had to halt myself because I was reading it too quickly and so, I took my time, saw more edits of YiZhan and WangXian and there’s just not return.
And then here I am, finished with the novel, having read the last extra chapter to Space Song and crying.

I still have the manhua to go and gawd I feel excited yet sad, this is one of those stories you’d like to forget in order to reread it and experience it again.
I loveeee loveeee (have I already mentioned it?) Wei Ying and Lan Zhan, I’ve always had a weak spot for when opposites attract but Lan Zhan indulging everything Wei Ying wants/does after they finally get together just melts my heart and makes me cry and smile so much. They give me happiness and tears. They have made my relationship goals rise so fuking high that I know for sure I’ll only have it in my dreams.
They are my comfort couple. Is that a thing? I’ve never had comfort characters and I always thought why? And I just see/read these 2 and I realize why. They make you happy and calm and comfortable and just, cry because they are so beautiful.
Before I start to tear up again imma just say, thank you dear author for letting me have this beautiful experience of emotions ❤️

The glorious conclusion! At this point, Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji are coupled and enjoying couply life. This novel is a satisfying slow burn, with moments of tenderness and also cruelty from their rocky friendship that is full of so many understandings that there were times that I questioned if this was actually BL or if the fanbase made their relationship more than it is in canon. (It is, there is so much smut.) (I’m glad to have gotten my hands on a scanlation before they became hard to come by with the official translation getting published and got to read it all + the bonus chapters as the author intended.)
I love that even though their relationship is the end goal of this novel, the world is so fleshed out and they have so many adventures and fights dealing with cultivation duties. The side characters are major contributing forces to this world, and again, I love the exploration of morals throughout this story.
In the author notes at the end of the book it was interesting that MXTX does in a way address the choppy storyline, she writes about how she deleted her outline as she wrote each part and that made things a little hard down the road but she did it because it was satisfying, like checking things off a to do list. And that’s just so human and relatable and I love that she did bring it up in the end. This is an amazing read and I’m excited to read the official English translations when they are all done getting published.

*thoughts regarding the series; tried to avoid spoilers*
I first read the manhua so that I could have a visual image of the characters, but as expected, I got confused at some points lol; Thus, I decided to read the novel~ I said I would read this at a more casual pace (unlike Heaven Official’s Blessing which I read way too fast), yet here I am finishing this after 6 days LOL
Like HOB, I loved the mysteries surrounding the characters, foreshadowing, and parallelism of stories. But I do think this series requires more patience and attention to details due to the number of flashbacks in between. Sometimes, I did find myself wanting to go back to the present era but all were necessary to provide the much needed context in the story. Another thing that I did enjoy was the calculating villain of the story! You'll really be surprised who turns out to be the mastermind o-o It’s been a while since I’ve encountered an antagonist that was written well (in my opinion at least). The author really makes you want to punch the guy haha! And of course, the main duo really takes the cake. I loved Wei WuXian’s shameless personality and his dynamic with Lan WangJi! I'm not so fond of the NSFW scenes, but I'm happy they're finally together in the end lol~

Llevo un tiempo pensando como describir lo mucho que amé esta historia y no he podido dar con las palabras adecuadas. Así que, al menos por ahora, he decido simplemente decir que realmente amo esta historia.

Entre las cosas que más adoré están los personajes, que son tan complejos y variados como las personas y eso le da cierto toque a las interacciones que tienen entre ellos. Todos tienen tantas capas y es realmente interesante poder observarlas y analizarlas.

Obviamente, la relación entre Lan Zhan y Wei Ying es algo que destacar para mí. Es el slow burn más slow que recuerdo haber leído, pero en mi opinión, está bien manejado, dándote las migajas justas para sacar el lado fangirl. Con ellos dos podría hablar por siempre pero me voy a limitar a decir que amo como se fue desarrollando su relación, es simplemente hermoso leerlo.

Naturalmente, hay un par cosas que no me gustaron tanto pero creo que las mismas no le quitan nada a la obra, al menos no en mi experiencia.

En fin, doy gracias a los Dioses por haberme cruzado con esta historia y sé que se va a quedar conmigo por un largo tiempo.
