Fara's husband, the Prince of Azura, is murdered and she's enslaved by his killer, Theodan, a warrior fighting a war he doesn't believe in - until her.
*****
Following the assassination of her husband and the invasion of the kingdom of Azura, Princess Fara is forced to go into hiding. She disguises herself as a lowly servant, determined to escape the war-torn capital, only to catch the eye of Theodan, the commander of the invading army that killed her family. Taken as his slave and a spoil of war, the last thing Fara expects is the forbidden connection that grows between them, compelling Theodan to protect her at any cost. But when Theodan discovers her true identity puts a target on her back, he will have to decide between saving the woman he loves, and betraying all he has ever known.
I read this about a year and a half ago. I just found out you can rate books from Wattpad on here.
Great Fantasy, but kind of annoying FMC. Fara makes choices in this book that I just sat there and thought "why are you dumb?". I loved the world building in this one, but the characters to me felt kind of off. The first book is available for purchase on Wattpad. The second book "Sins of Calate" is for free on Wattpad (3 stars IMO not as good as the first). The third and I think final book "Heart of Leoth" is still being regularly updated and is free to read on Wattpad.
I have not read the third book, but I kind of lost interest after book 2. There's this whole child savior prophecy that starts to develop in book two that I wasn't a fan of. The romance kind of gets pushed to the wayside because of it, and that's really what made book 1 great.
An intricate and uniquely built world. Very Greek Mythology if it helps you understand. Prophesies, visions, flashbacks. A lot of detail is given to the reader, it pushes the world into your head whether you’re ready or not.
Enemies being thrown together by the odds, enemies to lovers. Excruciatingly slow burn, well paced and realistic. Devastating choices needing to be made, no real winners.
The sequel is currently being written, so there’s a lot of content out to keep you satisfied.

I read this over on wattpad and it was so great! So glad to see it’s been published. I’ve been reluctant to move onto the next book because I don’t like pain💀
4.8 out of 5. Read this on Wattpad. I literally love this series so so much. I am left empty that the third book is unfinished but I am still in love with this series nevertheless. I will say the main character, Fara, is a bit annoying because I wish she would be stronger and more badass. And I also felt a little iffy about the whole child prophecy thing because I wanted Fara to be the main savior, not the child that she bares. I also wish the romance (face-to-face at least) wasn't so pushed to the side a little in books 2 & 3 but the world is so beautifully built with the four realms and I am so encaptured by the series that I can just not complain too much. I literally almost wanted to cry when I got to the end of the unfinished book 3. Literally. And it's been a while since a book has captured me so.
Entretenido, esperaba más ya que empezó demasiado interesante pero luego se vuelve tedioso aún así tiene un final atrapaste así que leeré el siguente...
I loved this book and this series. I can't wait for Heart of Leoth. Fara and Theo are fantastic characters, the worldbuilding is amazing, the plot and relationships are complex, and the myths are intriguing. The writing is gorgeous - Drake is honestly writing goals.
