Toi and Lennox (The Hook-Up Before Christmas) are looking forward to spending Thanksgiving Day in the bedroom – until family demanding a holiday feast derails their plan. So, the couple concocts a secret game to survive the onslaught and enjoy some naughty holiday fun.

This follow-up was so needed and so much fun to read. Guess everyone can relate to parents that are out of line, lord. But instead of dreading this holiday, the couple decide to switch it up in the best way.
And we're back! This is a sequel of sorts to The Hookup Before Christmas where we are able to see what has happened to Toi and Lennox. While there relationship is thriving, it is clear that the two aren't able to spend as much time together because of work. They won't to utilize Thanksgiving as a way to detox until their parents call and say they are coming. Toi and Lennox to come up with creative ways for them to spend time together while their parents are in the house. This was fun and hot! I definitely admired the creativity. I'm hoping that one day we will get another Toi and Lennox book.
For Lennox and Toi, life was lifing, so they needed to make some time for themselves. So while Lennox is home for Thanksgiving, he and Toi came up with a little game. Their family sure made the game more entertaining for them with their shenanigans. It was a smart little game 😉
Adorable follow up to the first novella! I just wish Toi and Lennox had taken a stand against their parents because damn were they disrespectful, and I didn’t want them to get away with it.
Toi and Lennox's game they concocted to deal with their parent's verbal babs ended up something Toi never imagined. A very cute story! It made me want to read more about this couple. My first read by author but definitely not my last. I look forward to checking more of her catalog!
This follow up sees Toi and Lennox in a happily established relationship, forced to host Thanksgiving for their respective families. It’s steamy and hot and sweet.
It was a lovely chance to visit with Toi and Lennox, they are my power couple. The story was fun and gave me the usual feelings I get from reading a book from a fave. I knew this couple would make it to happily ever after with their strong connection. Happy Thanksgiving!
Cute Thanksgiving romance! I loved the idea of turning a forced Thanksgiving with their respective parents and dealing with their barbs into a game where every insult earns them a sexual favor. But at the same time, I wondered why they didn’t put their parents in their place. Boundaries are key! Still, it was a satisfying short story.
Oh how I enjoyed the Thanksgiving Game and both of their families did not disappoint at all. I really would love to read more about Lennox and Toi . Lennox was very attentive to Toi and was everything she needed and wanted. Great short story.
A fun, quick read and good follow up to The Holiday Hookup where this couple was first introduced. Their game was a cute way to spice things up for the holidays.
This was a cute, steamy little Thanksgiving short story. Enjoyed it quite a bit...definitely recommend if you are looking for something short and steamy with Fall/Thanksgiving vibes.
I absolutely love this short. It was sexy, flirtatious and fun. I loved the sass and the humor. Shoot, Lennox could have me any way he wanted too shoot lol.
This book was so fun to read, Toi & Lennox was looking forward to spending Thanksgiving in bed all day because they both have been so busy with work that they haven’t spent much time together. They were both disappointed when their parent decided to come to their house for Thanksgiving, of course they didn’t ask just told them. Each parent has reservation about the couple, Lennox mother doesn’t think Toi is the right woman for her son and Tio father fell as if Lennox should make an honest woman out of her by getting married.
Lennox & Toi come up with this games that as soon as their parents say something negative regarding them, they will excuse themselves and meet up somewhere in the house, and get there groove on.
Let the game begin, if you are looking for a quick feel good book this is the one.
Phyllis Bourne gave us a perfect little Thanksgiving treat — short, spicy, and cute. The chemistry popped from the start, the banter felt effortless, and the warmth of the holiday made the spice hit even sweeter. It’s the kind of quick read that leaves you grinning and side-eyeing the next family gathering like hmm… could this happen in real life?
I’d absolutely love more of this story — the vibes were vibing, the tension was tenshing, and the characters had just enough depth to make me want a full novel. A perfect holiday appetizer!
The Thanksgiving Game was a fun and sexy page turner. All Toi and Lennox wanted to do was have a day of being thanked, sexually, by one another, but both their parents felt differently. Having to host a Thanksgiving dinner at their home for parents who didn’t agree with their living arrangements or choice for a significant other, they decide to use their parents antics to play a fun and sex filled game. This holiday short is easy to read and enjoyable.
So glad yo meet up again with Toi and Lennox! All Toi and Lennox want to do is get it on, but both sets of parents are unwittingly preventing that from happening. If you’re familiar with Phyllis Bourne, you know that sets the stage for shenanigans to ensue.
If you read The Hook-Up Before Christmas, then you must read this book. And even if you haven’t, don’t miss this one!
I loved this update with Toi and Lennox, they have moved in together and their parents invited themselves over for Thanksgiving dinner. To make it more interesting Toi and Lennox played a game when their parents made certain comments. I love them two together and glad they worked out. I loved the game they played and getting to see more into their lives. I was happy and the end when he proposed. Will there be a Toi and Lennox get hitched, I hope so!!!
One of my book baes recommended this story on IG so I rushed to find the 1st part. That story was so good that I had to read the 2nd part of Toi and Lennox's story. Even though the meddling from both sets of parents was a mess, I loved the clever way they decided to deal with it. I'd love a full novel with these two characters. These two stories were a great way to get introduced to Ms. Bourne. You've got a new fan!
A quick and SPICY follow-up holiday treat...Toi and Lennox are still fun and deeply in love...The Thanksgiving Game was a sexy creative way to deal with the annoying digs and barbs from their parents...again this was way too short but still ENTERTAINING...Lennox really needs to have a chat with his mama...her behavior was unacceptable and way out of line...it definitely ended too quick! Love this couple!!!
It was so nice to catch up with Toi and Lennox again. I swooned when I realized they were an official couple this time. Their hunger for each other was just as intense as it was in the previous book. Their plan to sneak in some quickies during Thanksgiving dinner was fun. Their parents were acting like donkeys, but it worked out for the lovebirds. The happily ever after ending was so sweet.
This was such a cute, fun story! I loved Toi & Lennox in their first story, it was great to catch up with them and see them still going strong. Both their families were a trip, but I enjoyed their "game" to get them through the day! Hit one-click and get into this fun Phyllis Bourne read!
Toi and Lennox. You hotta love them. They really know how to spice up Thanksgiving. Not giving in to jabs by the their parents, by coming up with their own satisfying way to divert has to be on of the best ideas to date Great quick read. Leaves one with ideas..ideas..about being stress-free.
This was cute, quick holiday read and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I love the Thanksgiving and Christmas season and all of the traditions and family. This particular story was around the Thanksgiving holiday dinner with family. I thought Toi and Lennox were adorable and HOT couple. The game they came up with was sexy and exciting!
This novella was funny, sexy, creative and perfect for this time of year! Toi and Lennox had just as much chemistry almost a year after their unconventional introduction. And I loved every minute of it!
Loved it. Quick and Finny read. 🔥🔥🔥Lennox and Toi come up with a perfect way to tolerate 2 sets of uninvited unbeatable parents on Thanksgiving. Good follow on these two from last years story The Hook Up Before Christmas. High five ✋Phyllis
Sometimes we have to let people make decisions about marriage in their own time. I agree that we can want our kids to like what we like and make decisions we think are right. But, sometimes they surprise us and it all works out
Nothing like being picked at by his mother and being told to make her an honest woman by her father. But when you take it and have a great holiday, anyway, then the jokes on them!
